God sees nothing wrong with incest but condemns homosexuality, why do Christians and most of society today see this as wrong even though God never condemned it.
Reason: homosexuality was socially acceptable in some cultures thousands of years ago and so the real authors of the bible(who were just ancient uncivilized men) so nothing wrong with it. Same reason the bible never condemned slavery and misogyny.

God did condemn Incest.He only allowed it cos of when people were multiplying on the surface of the earth before the law was given.Read Deuteronomy27vs20-22.He cursed people who sleep with their father's wives-their mother, beasts(animal), and their biological sisters.For limited time i can't show you other scriptures which condemns incest.Also,Romans1vs30 talks of people inventing other sins and at the latter end of that chapter he not only condemn those who do such but those who persuade others or approve of those practices.There are other sins like gambling, suicide, smoking which the bible describes in that Romans which the bible refers to those invented sins which were not captured when the bible was written and 'such like' which was called 'other sins' likewise in Galatians5vs21 to which God through the Holy Spirit have made his servants to regard as sins.Thanks.What i earlier wrote was not submitted when i responded by Nairaland for reasons i don't know.

Oh, glory to God for his grace. God bless you for reading. I most likely misunderstood you but I still don't get if you're still implying that I am pointing out sins. If I did, glory to God for that, and I will continue because it's scriptural. Jesus and the apostles preached 'Repent for the kingdom of God is near' Matt 4:17. Repent from what? SIN You see there is a need for repentance, not only from homosexuality, that is the essence of Christ's death and resurrection. The gospel is the power of salvation and in it the righteousness of God is revealed and SIN is exposed. How would people know what SIN is if you do not tell them? Besides, I never called names I only pointed to scripture and scripture point to God Himself. You cite the pharisees even, the same ones that called Jesus belzebub.

Anyway, I hope you don't misinterpret this comment, we are certainly still in agreement. This is only a defence for the emphasis you repeated in your reply. From your previous comment, you agreed and buttressed, then you went ahead with 'but...' from which I inferred that you were critical of my method as not the way of Jesus.

No true christian hates anybody but many people - christians and non-christians - are instinctively uncomfortable with homosexuality. Safe to say that it is conventional, going by the majority, human behaviour to dislike homosexuality. But God is Love and rightly so is the message of Jesus Christ. But before Love there was the Law and in it were commandments. Where there is Law, there is always Judgement and Jesus Christ is the Judge (John 5:22, Acts 17:31) and God is Just (Col 3:35, Ecc 3:17). The Law is defined in the commandments and Jesus Christ came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it (Matt 5:17).

Now, God is Holy and Righteous and hates sin and sin is defined as lawlessness (1 John 3:4), ie. living in discordance with the law. Homosexuality is sin (Gen 19; Lev 18:22; 20:13; Rom 1:26-27) and the bible tells us that those who indulge in it will NOT inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor 6:9). But does God hate homosexuals (sinners)? No, He doesn't. Here's what the bible says: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”(Rom 5: and “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Is 1:18)

Christians love and follow Jesus Christ, but here's what Jesus says about that "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me" (John 14:21) He goes on to say "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him" (John 14:23) What this means is that believers of Jesus Christ have His Spirit in them and should express His Love towards people and dislikes towards sin.

So, do christians hate homosexuals? No. But out of love for their souls not to perish from the wrath of God in judgement. We pray and tell them to repent and turn to God.

Are they born that way? If yes, why did God create them?

The same applies for those born blind, deformed, dumb or lame. The answer is we don't know. I think the why's aren't so important, what is is how we make use of our life here on earth. We serve a God of miracles that is able change any situation. Besides, the christian life is about daily dying to the flesh from its lusts and passions (Gal 5:24; Matt 16:24) and it can only be done by the Spirit of God in believers.

just to butress your point, God hates the sin and including homosexuality but loves the sinner...infact in the earthly ministry of Christ, Jesus was called the friend of sinners by the Pharisees because he ate with them and went into their homes.But Christ hates sin and preaches against it.He however will not point sin at people but points God to them.

Let me state that what am about to share: Why pray again?is not exactly my original thoughts but a sharing from one of the groups i belong on facebook-RTEM(revelation of truth evangelical ministries) but i have added some of my thoughts also which i think is useful to our discussion on Counsel.Feel free to comment please.
Yes, why pray again?-Probably you have fasted genuinly and prayed for a situation in your life or an individual to experience the better but no, it is as if it is getting worse. The more you prayed, it gets worse.It is even as if when you stop praying it gets better then when you are about thanking God, it gets worse again.And you now begin to think it cannot be better again and no hope from the Lord things will be good.
This situation may be in the area of a protracting sickness to you or a loved one.Probably the salvation of the soul of an individual( a loved one or your family) or even bad addiction.Well, the answer is in more prayers without relenting.Be instant in prayer, pray without ceasing, ask or pray until your joy is full are little what the bible says.
I remember my late brother who had a sickness then.Each time we prayed, the sickness persists.But each time we do not even pray for months he might not have the attack, only for us to thank God and lo and behold he is struggling with it again.I have sought answers then but i have not been able to understand until this sharing on Facebook through this group.
The solution is in James5vs17-Elijah was a man like us(i.e with human limitations and weakness like us, with even unbelief like us)...remember that after cleansing the land of Isreal of Baal, and even executed the prophets of Baal but ran away from a common witch like JEZEBEL...YET, HE PRAYED THAT IT MIGHT NOT RAIN AND IT RAINED NOT for three and have years....Now notice the following verse and HE WHEN HE SAID THERE SHOULD BE RAIN, IT RAINED.That is to show us that after we must have prayed and fasted, the solution is in our MOUTH.We decree for it is written we shall decree a thing and it shall be established(settled) in Christ Jesus.

Honestly, I get disturbed when I read about your doctrine. I know there are variations in doctrine among the protestants but it's all good and love when the focus is on Jesus Christ as the author and finisher of our faith. But JWs are different and way off in my opinion. And with so much information - videos, articles, texts - especially in this era, the truth cannot be hidden from anyone.

Anyway, correct my assertions if you may but these are my questions:

1. JWs believe Jesus is inferior to God the Father, and don't believe He ressurected/ascended into heaven. who is Jesus to JWs? What is the basis of your faith/religion? Also when Jesus said in John 8:58
'Truly I say unto you, before Abraham was, I am' In John 14:9 '...He who has seen me has seen the Father' How does your bible translation read these scriptures? In Rom 8:11 'And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who dwells within you.' (The colored emphasis for my second question)

2 Your bible translation does not recognise the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, Spirit of truth, as Him and God but rather 'active force'. How does your translation read in Matt 12:32 'Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come' also in Eph 4:30 'And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom (a person, not it) you were sealed for the day of redemption' which leads to my next question

3 Do JWs get born again or are they born into JW? Do JWs get baptised by immersion? If you are baptised in what name? Jesus instructed in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit since you don't regard the Holy Spirit, How do you get baptised?
If you get born again, what happens?
In 1 Cor 12:13 'For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free, and we were all given one Spirit to drink'
Again you do not recognised the Holy Spirit so what does this read in your translation and how are they interpreted?

4. Why no everlasting torment in Hell? The bible mentioned several times this in Matt 25:8, Rev 21:8, 2 Thes 1:9, Matt 13:50, Mark 9:43, Jude 1:7 and many times. How does your translation read these scriptures? and what do you believe?

5. JWs believe all prophecies, miracles and gifts have all ceased. No casting out demons, nothing. So why does one need to go for your meetings. Isn't the purpose defeated if it's just rote learning about what God and His people did and waiting for the world to end. How long can one endure that?
What does this mean then to JWs in 2 Tim 3:5 'having some form of godliness and denying the power thereof....'

I won't even elaborate on the blood transfusion issue I heard is even denied babies. But don't you guys think, like the mormons, claiming that only your books are legitimate scripture in christianity - JWs are not regarded as christians - calls for 'do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God...' and 'test all things hold fast what is good'

Anyway, my road to redemption started after I watched the movie 'The Conjuring’ not that I am a movie person but what sparked my interest was that it was based on a true story. So I got the book about the protagonists in the movie 'The Demonologist: The Extraordinary Career of Ed and Loraine Warren.’ It describes the preternatural the way it can be understood by non-religious people, because it isn’t a religious book in itself. It explains the phenomena from personal experiences as demonologists (study of spirits), and I found that they keep an occult museum where they display paraphernalia such as photos, recordings, and objects from every case, for exhibition. Some quotes from the book: ‘Some of the objects and amulets stored are so negatively ‘charged’ that just by holding one of the items it is possible to provoke the original spirit to manifest or cause possession to occur instantly’ ‘there is the long black spike a satanic witch used long ago to murder her newborn infant as a sacrifice to the devil' also skulls as chalices for drinking blood etc were being kept in the museum. Now, I didn’t need to go to the museum to find out if they were true or not, I was just utterly disgusted by even reading about them.

In fact, if you get to that point in the book, you would have gotten a vivid picture of the wickedness and darkness people get involved with. How people can in the convenience of their bedroom summon/invoke all the evil in the world by simple rituals or simply attract them in ignorance by their actions. So that when you hear a christian say God said ‘The heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked’ you cannot help but agree in your unbelief.

Anyway, having read and seen all that, I realised I had no spirit in me and had being in denial all along, without even knowing. And oh how vulnerable I was to the whims of the wicked. It was obvious that living in denial does not disprove anything but rather keeps one uninformed - but I love being informed- and unprepared if/when one encounters the phenomenon being denied and in the case of these demonic spirits, vulnerable. But it also makes you reflect too, because it also explains how people invite these unclean spirits sometimes from seemingly benign habits.

Now, the book doesn’t tell you to accept Jesus or anything like that, it just advises to steer clear of Ouija boards, spell books, necromancers, and objects you don’t understand. But it affirmed the power of the name of Jesus Christ and God, prayer and religious objects as the only things that overcome the most evil of these inhuman spirits.

Modified : My mum involved the people of the palace and the Police, they all assisted her in breaking the lock that it is very wrong for my step brother to lock them out. My step brother is nowhere to be found but I believe he has an informant who must have told him what has happened. Truly there is eternal security in Christ only when we abide in him.
When a man becomes bornagain he has a new nature but also his old nature is still there. He can now choose to walk in the spirit or in the flesh. As long as he walks in the spirit he is eternally secure but if he walks in the flesh he will die there is no eternal security there even if he shout Jesus finished work from now till tomorrow it won't help him until he repents and obey the spirit of Christ.

@Acidosis, Thank you for this post.What you said is the absolute truth.Wada employed 500 teachers and we were told to resume work since February ony for this governor to come and will not have none of that.Note that we've been given employment letters.He is talking of us as ghost workers.We've been to Lokoja until now for close or up to Ten times for one thing or the other.I know it the administration of Wada had continued, we would have been paid.Good riddance to rubbish, let him be impeached. My mum has not been paid since January too being a pensioner like wise my dad.

I believe there are Christians in here. I am here to speak on an issue which I have taken time to think through.
I see a lot of christian folks in the medical profession and most times I ask what they are doing there. Every medical doctor is under an oath which Its origin is not fully known. Before u can be a doctor, u will have to swear the HIPPOCRATIC OATH......on the day of your INDUCTION. in the Christian faith, it was clearly stated that swearing of any form is not allowed and considered a sin. Why then do I see Christians in medical school? Are they not aware of this OATH? Or did they just choose to turn a blind eye to the truth?
The medical profession has always been like a cult since the days of Hippocrates. It was initially designed with knowledge of secrets of the practice that should only be passed down to children of physicians in the olden days. Medical practise actually started like a brotherhood/cult.....the medical logo says it all(a snake wrapping a cross).....my point here is anybody who calls himself a true Christian cannot become a medical doctor without SIN (TAKING THE OATH).


So my dear Christian friends, are you really for God or do you choose to go against his instruction just because you want to enjoy the gains of being a medical doctor?.......THATS BEING A HIPPOCRITE!

Bro, have you forgotten Dr Luke in the bible?All professions are calling for a true child of God provided they emphasize the God part of it-Which is to glorify God.Dr Luke is one of the Disciples of the Saviour-Jesus Christ.All profession have rules.We swear to an oath as students too.

true talk! I call those ones victims of circumstances. A student did not register a course online is automatic F. Whether it is due to the network or website doesn't concern them. A student failed a course or had a low grade why? because 20 marks from his CA was not added.. And so on...

Don't mind him.I did two exams without C.A.One maths i had 38 and the other i had 28 as i was sick and did not have C.A.The lecturers concerned will not have none of those and decided i should have F9.Sometimes i had missing grades for courses i should have had A or B. Not missing grades in one course which i have to re-register.So what moral justification does he have throwing up those topics because he had First Class and so what he is better than others.I was almost missing my exams every now and then in 300level and 400level due to sickness.I pray he doesn't experience what i passed through.

You slander those of us who had different reason aside what you've itemized as being common to CO students.Just pray you are not sick when or during your exams.This is nothing but trash and humiliation of those who had no control whatsoever to why they had CO.

While growing up in my SS3 days in college, i remembered i could not express myself properly in English which is a major problem of English as a second speaking countries which Nigeria falls to.But, i understand all my subjects taught in Eenglish.While it may be true some students cannot express themselves in English but can write correct and good English which i fell into then, i still want to believe an SS3 student should need no interpretation when being questioned in English as the rest NL'ers have said.Kogi is no more an Educationally Less Developed State.It had been removed some few years ago contrary to what a poster alluded Kogi Is poor educationally.
