“Luda came with his girlfriend, Euxonie and of course his boys. Luda asked for condoms to be in his dressing room and when his manager asked where they where she went CRAZY. She flipped out on him asking him why he always needed condoms in front of his crew and the students that ran the concert. We were all in shock and it was liked a bad accident where you couldn’t look away.


They went into the dressing room and came out like 20 minutes later asking for a tour of the school since she had heard so much about the school. We got a her a golf cart tour (our school is relatively small).

As soon as she was out of the building Luda went over to one of the girls, who was a student, and started talking to her. She was all giggles. After about 20 minutes of whispering in her hear Luda and the girl went into his dressing room with one of his bodyguards standing in front of the door not letting anyone get too close to the door.

About 10 minutes later Euxonie came back, as I said small school, and she went to the door. By this time EVERYBODY knew that Luda was in the room with the girl, so Euxonie went up to the doors and attempted to bypass the guards, They wouldn’t let her in the room and she was screaming “CHRIS OPEN THE F*CKING DOOR!!!!” she was banging on the boor. He eventually came out with the girl and she pushed him into the room and she started screaming and everybody and their momma could hear her. About 20 minutes after the screaming match she stormed out of the room and told one of the bodyguards to take her to the airport.


Luda came out the room and one of the bodyguards asked him if he wanted to stop the car and Luda said “Nope, she’ll get over it”. And that was it. A few hours later he put on a great show.

Oyo prides itself as the 'Pacesetter' state. But the news emanating daily from the state being governed by Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala leaves one to wonder what kind of pace the state is setting and to whom is it setting the pace. In recent times, the media have been flooded with news of bloodletting in the state, whose governor was a police officer that rose to the status of a divisional police officer. The development has become so worrisome that some well-meaning citizens of the state are no longer comfortable with the trend. Some have even gone to the extent of calling for the declaration of a state of emergency. This definitely could not have been the state its founding fathers laboured for.

A legal luminary, Chief Adeniyi Akintola (SAN), recently took a critical assessment of the state of affairs in the state and returned a damning verdict that the state is far from living up to its slogan of being a pacesetter state. He made the observation in a lecture titled, "50 years of democracy in Nigeria, Oyo state as a pacesetter state" which he delivered in Ibadan, the state capital, in commemoration of the 66th birthday of the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja. Specifically, Akintola argued that in reality, the state only set the pace in culpable atrocities and evil deeds rather than in recording giant strides daily.

In Oyo State, if factional members of the crisis-ridden state council of the National Union of Road Transport Workers are not at daggers-drawn, politicians who are supposed to be after the welfare of the people will be decimating their potential electorate with the aid of their weapons-wielding supporters in the name of political campaigns.

So bad was the case that two people were reportedly killed recently when some chieftains of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party opposed to the second-term bid of Alao-Akala took their "Akala Must Go" campaign to the governor's hometown, Ogbomoso. The victims were reportedly felled during a crossfire that ensued when some loyalists of the governor were allegedly attempting to prevent the campaigners from holding their rally in the town.

Last week Tuesday, no fewer than 11 persons were reportedly injured during another round of gun battle between factions of the NURTW in the Olomi/Academy area of Ibadan, the state capital, which houses the state secretariat of the union. The union clash has become a recurring decimal.

The clash was a follow-up to an earlier dusk attack on the secretariat which left many persons dead and over 100 vehicles destroyed. The carcasses of the vandalised vehicles are still littering the various adjoining streets in the affected area. There are a few other minor skirmishes among them. In all the clashes, members of the union's faction led by its court-reinstated chairman, Alhaji Lateef Akinsola (a.k.a Tokyo), who are currently occupying the secretariat are quick to accuse members of the faction led by the sacked chairman, Alhaji Lateef Salako (a.k.a Eleweomo) of allegedly masterminding the wanton destruction of lives and property. In all instances, the Salako's faction too is quick to rebuff the allegation.

At a point, a member of the union identified as Olumide Oyelowo and his wife, Yetunde, were killed by yet-to-be identified gunmen at their residence at Alalubosa, Molade area at Alakia Brewery in Ibadan.

It is a common knowledge that the NURTW in all the states of the federation has remained a factor in the political calculations because its members are ready tools in the hands of politicians in dire need of miscreants for their dirty jobs. There is, therefore, a strong belief that the battle for the soul of the state council of the union is not far from politicians' aspiration ahead of the 2011 elections.

The NURTW clash has become so tense that a Fourth Republic Senator and traditional leader in Ibadan, Chief Lekan Balogun, had at different times called on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in the state. Balogun has also made several calls on the police hierarchy to redeploy the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Baba Bolanta, for his alleged ineptitude in meeting the security challenge.

Also, a group of senior citizens of Ibadan origin under the aegis of Ibadan Elders' Forum had called for Bolanta's immediate redeployment over his alleged partisanship in the various crises rocking the state. In a petition addressed to the office of the Inspector-General of Police and signed by 12 members of the group, including its chairman, Ambassador Olu Sanu, the Ibadan elders hinged their call on Bolanta's alleged inability to maintain law and order in the state, particularly the state capital, apparently due to external pressure.

The elders claimed that the ongoing crisis in the state council of the NURTW would have been abated if Bolanta had enforced the ruling of the National Industrial Court that reinstated Akinsola as the chairman. They also accused the police boss of taking sides during the violence that engulfed the state House of Assembly when some lawmakers moved to remove the Speaker, Mr. Moroof Atilola. They alleged that rather than arresting those who brutalised the anti-speaker lawmakers, the police boss ended up arresting the victims of the incident.

The Lagos State House of Assembly on Monday declared its intention to sue an actress, Mrs. Ufuoma Ejenabor, for trying to extort money from the House.

Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Adeyemi Ikuforiji, stated this through his Chief of Staff, Mr. Segun Olusesi, while reacting to the alleged assault of Ejenabor by his aides on October 29.

Olusesi said he was driving in the convoy directly behind the pilot vehicle when Ejenabor suddenly emerged from the left and in an attempt to force herself into the speaker's convoy, hit the rear left of the bumper of the pilot vehicle with her right front bumper.

Olusesi also accused Ejenabor of damaging her own car by deliberately hitting the speaker's official Lexus Jeep.

He claimed that nobody assaulted her in any form and the photographs of her car as contained in newspaper reports could best be described as "insurance fraud and attempt to extort and blackmail the House and the speaker."

Ejenabor had alleged that her car would cost N595, 000 to repair.

The incident was, however, recorded by the aides of the Speaker and it showed part of the events that transpired.

Olusesi said immediately they noticed Ejenabor's belligerence, the Speaker ordered his aides to begin to record the events so that they would not have a scandal in their hands.

The recording showed Ejenabor hysterically shouting at the aides that she had been beaten, her phone seized and they were in trouble for damaging her car.

"You don jam bad luck! You don jam Urhobo witch. They should beat me o! They should beat me, Urhobo girl! You have to beat me. Shebi una get power,!" she screamed.

Olusesi explained that from the footage, she still had her bag intact and her phone was still with her. He also said that the video evidence showed that there was no damage to her car as was exhibited in the photographs.

Olusesi explained that the convoy was coming from the burial of the wife of a member of the House and was heading for Lagos University Teaching Hospital where another member, Mr. Rotimi Sotomiwa, lay ill. Sotomiwa died a few days after the incident.

In her reaction, Ejenabor said that her Blackberry phone was still with the speaker's aides and would be tracked.

"They beat me to collect my phone. My I-pod was in the car. They ransacked the car and took all things. They said I drove into their convoy.

Why would I do that? It happened during the day and it was on a highway. We can have a forensic check of my car and their car. Forensics don't lie," she said.

Vice-Chancellor of UI, Prof. Olufemi Bamiro, said that the other universities in the partnership include the University of Lagos, University of Nigeria, University of Jos, University of Maiduguri and Ahmadu Bello University.

Addressing a news conference on the campus of the university on Monday, Bamiro said the partnership was aimed at opening fresh frontiers in the field of HIV/AIDS research.

According to him, the grant was an acknowledgement of United States' consistency towards improving humanity, stressing that the choice of the university as a centre to drive the grant was laudable.

A statement by the Registrar of UI, Mrs. Omotayo Ikotun, explained that the grant, which is code-named "Medical Education Partnership Initiative", would witness the disbursement of $130m among Nigerian universities within the next five years.

The statement said, "The University of Ibadan is to lead some other Nigerian universities to benefit from an investment of $130m largely funded by the US President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief to expand and enhance medical education and research training in the field of HIV/AIDS.

"The public health relevance of this award is that the challenges facing the Nigerian medical education system like decayed infrastructure, misplaced priorities and inadequate resources responsible for a dearth of research capacity of students and faculty will be addressed."

Bamiro explained that the scourge of HIV/AIDS was prevalent among youths because many of them were impressionable and incapable of using their freedom appropriately.

He said the improved medical education system and capacity from this programme would be transferred to other medical schools in the country through the National Universities Commission.

"UI will be leading a consortium of six Nigerian universities and partnering with two US universities to implement programmes towards improvement and strengthening of medical education system in Nigeria," Bamiro said.

Now, he is using naira and dollars as pillow.

LAGOS—Emotions ran high Monday at the Lagos State Police Public Relations Office, Ikeja, after a 14-year-old girl told a crowd how she was impregnated by her 50-year-old father, resulting in her delivering a baby.
The teenager (names withheld), naively clung to her baby girl, while calling on the government to come to her aid concerning the well being of her five-day-old baby.
Already, the teenager and her father, Mr. Yerisu Onojobi, have been evicted from their Bogija village in Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos. The community considered the act sacrilegious.


In the beginning

The girl, a Junior Secondary School I student, said her father, a farmer, started having carnal knowledge of her since December last year, after she returned from her aunt’s place following the death of her mother.
The abominable act continued until the bubble burst when Kehinde was discovered to be pregnant.
When news of his misdemeanour spread across the community, Mr. Yerisu, according to the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Samuel Jinadu, was sent packing from the village.

The Police spokesman said: “But he ran to Elemoro Police Division with a fictitious claim about his eviction, requesting for police protection. However, during investigation, the villagers said he had committed an abominable act against their tradition.”
Describing the act as deispicable, Jinadu said the suspect would be charged to court for defilement.

‘She tempts me’
Yerisu, however, shocked everyone when he said his daughter was after all not a virgin when he had carnal knowledge of her.
Although he later broke down in tears while regretting his action, he also blamed his daughter for always exposing herself to him whenever they were alone.

You've been in the ministry for about four decades now, how has it been?

To start with, I appreciate God for His grace, without which no man can survive. If you want to genuinely preach the gospel, it's not going to be easy; and, really, it hasn't been easy being a preacher of distinction, with integrity and doing the right thing. There have been challenges, but I thank God who has brought me through all the challenges to get me to where I am now.

Warri, Delta State, which hosts the headquarters of your church, is a volatile place for many reasons. How have you been able to cope?

Really, there was a time when Warri was indeed a volatile place, and it was so bad and dangerous. But I don't think it is quite like that today. We still have challenges and difficulties, but I think that the greatest challenge that has always been is that of making sure that you understand the differences among the peoples. In Warri area, you have the Urhobos, Itsekiris, Ijaws and everybody else. Being able to understand this and also being able to maintain your love for God and His people are a major challenge, but we have been able to maintain our integrity in the way we relate to everybody, thus enabling us to carry everybody along.

We have been able to stand out as a ministry that accommodates everybody. If you are a sectional person in Warri, you may get along for a while, but it's not going to last. You need a big heart to accommodate everybody, and that's what our ministry has been doing.

Though things are generally calm now, once in a while, we do have some skirmishes occasioned by people's frustrations with the economy. Militancy has affected the economy of Warri especially, what with the exodus of multinational firms and even small scale businesses which relocated in order to be able to carry on their businesses unmolested. This has created massive unemployment. We help in whichever way we can, including helping members with their house rent, children's school fees and even creating employment opportunities for them.

Right now, the church attends to a group of former commercial sex workers whom we are trying to rehabilitate. We have trained them in some vocations, following which we also had to equip them with tools to work with.

Also, the ministry has a hospital that attends to members, with minimal charges on week days, while it is free on Sundays.

We also have a micro-finance bank that employs members, and some members have been able to access soft loans from the bank as start-up capital.

Again, the ministry has helped about 70 indigent students to pay their tuition, even to the university level, and some of them have graduated.

Moreover, every December 26th, the church gives out three brand new cars, usually balloted for, and which winners can use as taxi cabs to earn a living. This balloting is open to members of the community, irrespective of their faith. We also give out about 20 tricycles, 100 sewing machines, 100 grinding machines, etc. All these help in cushioning the negative effects of the economy on members, and, today, we have quite a number of members who are doing something remarkable with their lives.

Unlike today, when you went into full-time ministry, it wasn't a popular thing to do. What motivated you?

You are right. In fact, when I proposed to attend the Bible school, my widowed mother was distraught. She couldn't understand why her first son would want to be a pastor, despite the fact that she loved God, as she got converted the same day I was. She took the matter to my late dad's family. At the family meeting, which went on for hours, they were convinced that I had lost my mind and they were bent on stopping me from going into full-time ministry. However, God used one of my uncles to rally them round me on the long run. He told them, 'you never know what God has in mind for this young man; we are not God. Probably this is the direction where God is leading him. Allow him.' And that was how I was let go. My uncle is late now, but I will forever cherish his intervention.

Beginning

I never knew I was going to be a musician even though I had been playing music since my primary school days. It was after getting into secondary school that I realized that I couldn’t do without music. I tried to learn some trades like printing, buying and selling of electronics and even went into boxing but all these did not work out for me.

Music, my destiny

My parents never encouraged me to go into music despite being from a home of musicians. My dad believed so much in education he wanted all his children to be graduates. But I was much more into music than taking a look at education. Though, I tried so much to go to school and my parents also did their best to make sure I was educated, it soon dawned on me that there was no way I could delay my destiny, which is music.

Outcast

My parents threw me out of the house because I insisted on playing music. They realized that they couldn’t stop me from following my heart desires so they sent me out of the house so as to break my resolve but it failed. Rather than being dejected, I took charge of my dream. I moved in with a friend who later relocated and left the apartment for me. I was paying N30 as house rent monthly. Whenever I came back from school, I had to go to where I was learning a trade. It was rough fending for myself but I was making some money to make ends meet and was able to save one naira daily, and at the end of the month, I had N30 which I gave to the landlord as rent. Those days were rough but I was determined.

The break

I did not really go to anybody to learn music. For me, music is inborn; it’s a gift from God. If you don’t have the talent, there’s no way you will do it well. I remember that then, I did not have money to sponsor myself but a musician, Alhaji Mustapha Aremu Arisejafe, who played shows every Friday at Ebute Metta, Lagos, gave me a chance to be heard. That was the beginning of my journey to fame and stardom. One day, I went to hang out where he played. Incidentally, one of his back-up singers was absent. He then asked me to stand in for him. After backing him for 30 minutes, he handed over the microphone to me and I started singing. Within a short while, people loved my music and when he came back for the mic, the crowd insisted I should play on. After that day, he took me around to wherever he went and I was beginning to get my fan base. But he soon had issues with some promoters, so he went on strike. While the strike lasted, the band boys and I organised ourselves into a group and started playing. However, when Alhaji settled with the promoters and called off his strike, he called all the boys back into the band. But rather than go back to Alhaji, I chose to start my own band. I put my own band together and went to Alhaji for his blessings which I got. I was 23 years old at the time.

Mum’s blessing

Within a short while, I was playing shows in the neighbourhood and appearing on television. Soon, word began to spread that a new star was born, and within a short while, word reached my parents that I was the new music star. My parents didn’t have a choice but to accept me. It happened that my mother’s friends who had been seeing me on TV went to meet her and said, ‘please, give this boy your blessings. People like his music and remember, he comes from a home of musicians.’ So, one day, my mum came to my house at Ebute Metta unexpectedly and when we saw each other, we started crying. I ran into her arms and embraced her. It was a tearful reunion. She gave me her blessings and prayed for me. To this day I am still enjoying her blessings. I have released 33 albums to date.

Life as teetotaler

I don’t drink and I don’t smoke. I don’t take Indian hemp either. We all have our ways of getting inspiration. I don’t need anything to perform or write my songs. Inspiration comes to me very naturally and it’s God’s gift. That’s why I am a different fellow entirely. If I get on stage now, you’d be shocked because I am like a lion on stage. But whoever takes anything before going on stage probably likes it that way and I don’t have anything against them. But you don’t really need to take anything as long as you know what you’re doing. It’s like saying that because I am a lawyer I should smoke Indian hemp before going to court. I am using this opportunity to advise young people that they don’t need any stimulant to be entertainers.

But civilization has substantially changed the way people perceive virginity. At one time, it was even thought to be ‘bush’ if a girl dared reveal to her peers that she was still a virgin. Some girls even competed to be the first to lose their virginity to a boyfriend.

Once again, attitudes are changing, and it is becoming fashionable to be a virgin. This new development is driven more by the Pentecostal revival spreading through the world. Virginity, at least among Pentecostal Christians and fundamentalist Muslims, is being appreciated again.

Being a virgin is good, these people argue, saying that it is a key factor to whether there would be deep trust between the couple. However, there are women who were married as virgins but are now worse than whores. But then, the issue of virginity is like a two-sided coin as it also applies to men who go into marriage without having ever had sex with a woman. For women who marry such men, and considering the realities of the present time, when women have become bolder and assertive, they expect to be sexually satisfied by their husbands. So would you, whether as a man or lady prefer marrying a virgin?

I really would love marry a virgin, but looking at the percentage of people who are lucky enough to have virgins today, they are very few. A number of men today would not want to marry any lady without having an affair with her. When a man marries a woman who is not a virgin and he is not the first man in her life, it becomes a stigma on her. But men cause most of theses things.

Definitely, not all deflowered ladies are irresponsible, some could be victims of circumstance like rape, sweet coated men who may have promised them marriage, but determined to exploit her first. Should she not get married again?

How many women today got married as virgins? The same applies to men.

I believe if there is virginity test for men, many ladies/ women too would not want to marry an experienced man due to fear of sexually transmitted diseases. But the point is that hardly would you find a man that would satisfy an experienced lady in bed and you would hardly have rest of mind that she is still faithful to you alone.

Yes I would like to marry a virgin because a virgin has a higher tendency to be faithful. But it is important to note that when a man marries a virgin, the lady may be tempted to stray outside to see what she missed out during her youthful days. If a man marries a woman as a virgin, it might turn out a problem to the man because of lack of experience and not knowing what to do or expect. Living in complete control of her sexuality, she might not like it but she got no choice since she is new in the game.

I would like to marry a virgin presuming that she has second hand experience on the bedmatics of sex and how to handle her man in bed. These days, virgins are hard to come by and even if there are, a large percentage of them are light years behind their peers when it comes to knowledge on the dynamics of sex.

As for me, when it comes to the issue of marriage, the most important thing is the question of sexual satisfaction. I can’t imagine my newly wedded wife on the wedding night lying down like a log of wood in bed, awaiting the long old missionary style position. Kai, what an anachronism!

There is nothing wrong in a grown-up lady getting to learn how to satisfy her man in bed whilst she is still a virgin. Some religious women feel it is wrong or immoral to explore the wonders of sex and are in themselves unattractive and anti-sexy in nature due to their mind-set. A lot of Nigerian women out there have joined the league of ladies who have thrown their ‘husbands’ away in the guise of Christian beliefs and dignity.

I can never be attracted to a woman who dresses like her grandmother no matter how anointed she is: my woman must be hot, sexy, affable and must be vast in the things that make for life and good relationships. Even the Bible says in Proverbs 5:19 that let her breasts satisfy you at all times, meaning the man is entitled to full enjoyment of his spouse in all ramifications and it is to a large extent the onus of the woman to see to the satisfaction of her man even before marriage.

Joke Adegun had always dreamt of delving into event management, but her job as a banker had not allowed her to take into it fully. But when the unimaginable twist in the banking industry started and bank workers started losing their jobs late in 2009, the beautiful lady saw this as a wake-up call to make up her mind on what she actually wanted in life.

While she was in the bank, the bucks were rolling in but her soul was somewhere else, waiting to be liberated and nurtured. Though she was doing a bit of event management as an aside with her job in the bank, she was not fulfilled, which meant she had to give herself a time frame to launch out as an event manager.

Though many lost their job as a result of the meltdown in the banking sector, Adegun's job was never threatened. Still, she decided to opt out herself to become her own boss.

She says, "I had had the dream even as a banker but the recent happening in the banking industry was like a wake-up call for me. I drew a plan and promised myself to leave willingly at a particular time. I didn't lose my job in the bank but I resigned my job from Zenith Bank. Before Zenith, I had been in other banks such as GTB and Bank PHB and I joined banking as a graduate. I studied English but I found myself in banking."

The young ex-banker had a swell time while she worked in the customer service section but she got turned off when she had to join the marketing. As a marketer, her duty was to go out and look for depositors in order to meet a target set for her.

"For the most part, I was in the customer service section which I really enjoyed," says Adegun. "It was what I really loved to do. However, along the line, I was in marketing and while I was there, I didn't like it at all."

A lot of people have accused banks of forcing ladies in their employ into prostitution by giving them unrealisable targets which they must meet. It is said that the ladies who are usually called marketers out of desperation to meet their target often fall victim of exploitation by would-be depositors. Perhaps, Adegun found marketing unpalatable because of the unethical practice in the bank, hence her dislike for marketing.

She says, "What we do in Nigeria is not really banking. They just ask people to go and get deposits from outside without bothering how they achieve that. And for some people to part with their money, you must have something to offer in return and to me, it was not professional.

"For me, I didn't find it funny and I was not fulfilled. I can't rule out the fact that some customers are willing to give you their money because of some strings attached. They would ask you what you want to offer and if you are not forthcoming with an explanation, they ask you to offer yourself.

"I got this a number of times and I am sure any average bank marketer would tell you the same thing, but it depends on how you handle such situations. When people say marketers are prostitutes because of the work they do, I tell them that those who are doing it have always had the tendency in them; that if nobody is compelling you to do it, you don't have to do it. If anyone demands that you offer yourself before he can give you money, you move on if every diplomatic tactics you employ to disabuse his mind failed, another person would give you."

She says that despite the fact that she was not ready to compromise, she was still able to win some depositors for her bank. "I was able to bring in something even though it was not so much, I didn't enjoy it," she explains. "Inasmuch as you would not want to tell off your customers, there are ways you can handle advances from men without being impolite and that was how I was able to manage it.

"But even at that, it affected my relationship because customers would call me at times at odd hours when I was with my boyfriend, demanding to see me during the weekends and stuff like that."

Wickedness is indeed an inherent nature in the heart of man. This explains why a 12-year-old girl allegedly muted an evil idea against her guardian who reportedly picked her up from the gutters and clothed her.

The smart but meek looking girl was alleged to have attempted sniffing life out of an entire household because her mistress' sister reprimanded her for stealing. She, however, did not succeed with her plans but her action has generated a fierce controversy in the town.

Dama (surname withheld) a.k.a 'Fatima' is a native of Jukun, Benin Republic. Having lost her father to a protracted sickness a few years ago, her mother left her in the care of her uncle living in Nigeria and remarried. Three months ago, Fatima's uncle took her to Mrs. Simbiat Yussuf, a food stuff merchant based in Shaki, Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State to serve as an apprentice and a sales girl.

At the third month of her stay in the house, the young girl was caught stealing. According to Yussuf and her younger sister, she had stolen a sum of N3,000. Rather than being remorseful, the evil idea sprouted in her mind and took roots. The consequence was, of course, damning.

At sunrise on Wednesday, November 3, Fatima left for shop while Yussuf prepared her children for school. She made food and hot tea for the children and herself. But she could not take her tea before setting out for the day's work as she left in a hurry.

On getting back home in the evening, she was tired and famished so she went straight for her tea unaware that it had been poisoned. After taking the first sip Yussuf noticed that the tea did not taste good and had some nauseating odour. She became probing and agitated. The embattled woman took the tea to her husband at the corridor where he was relaxing. She explained her suspicion but her husband did not take her seriously. But the bubble burst before her husband's younger sister could confirm her suspicion. She slumped and was rushed to the hospital.

She was discharged from the hospital two days after but was again rushed back when her health relapsed.

Police investigation shows that Fatima was behind the heart-rending act. She was whisked to Shaki Police station following some confirmations. At first, she denied having knowledge of the food poisoning with a claim that she was not at home when the tea was prepared.

The Divisional Police Officer, Shaki Police Station, Mr Mohammed Sulaiman Baba (Superintendent of Police), who personally interviewed Fatima in his office, said she later confessed that she was responsible for the food poisoning. He said, "She said she poisoned the tea and the lump of fish that the woman kept in the kitchen for cooking."

Fatima told our correspondent that she did it because her mistress' younger sister cursed her for stealing some money in the shop. The girl said, "I was not happy. Madam's younger sister said I shall not succeed and that my father will not reap any good thing from me. I put rat poison in my mistress' tea and in the fish that she kept in the kitchen."

Fatima confirmed that she once stole N3,000 in the shop. According to her, she had stolen money on many occasions. She said, "I stole. I usually steal my mistress' money to buy clothes. I keep the clothes with the seller."
