babapupa:You see what I mean; I've been following Fashola more than you. Just cancel out the ones in red. Tell me what is the difference between what Fashola did in Lagos and what Chime did at Enugu?. Chime built roads, hospitals and even went further to do a 100% reconstruction of the state university. Has Fashola done that to dilapidated LASU?. Believe me, Fashola thrives on media hype but that doesn't mean he is not doing well after all half a loaf is better than no bread. I can't believe you added lagos bus?. why not include Akala in your list of praiseworthy governors because he did that too?. I am oblivious of Fashola because Tinubu who embezzled the state put him there. There is no way Tinubu is not making serious money out of that and this media hype may be to confuse people like you who are dedicated apologists no matter what. |

Fashola gets media attention more than many governors but that doesn't mean that Ogun, bayelsa, Rivers, kaduna etc governors are redundant. Didn't you see Enugu university constructed by their givernor. If an independent oyibo didn't go there to take pictures, will you even know that such things are happening there?. I can't remember any serious landmark achievement from Fashola apart from that hospital you are about to post. If you can, list them. |

Yar’Adua’s daughter in the US to have a baby, as father continues search for answers and political manipulators take over Nigeria WRITTEN BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORK TUESDAY, 08 DECEMBER 2009 13:24 Umaru Yar’Adua’s daughter, Nafisat Yuguda, is in the United States to have her first child. She is seven months pregnant. She arrived in New York yesterday accompanied by her husband, Bauchi State governor Isah Yuguda, who has three other wives. Yuguda, whose father-in-law is in a Saudi Arabia hospital being treated for a variety of serious diseases, brought his wife to the United States because no hospital in Bauch State, which he runs, or anywhere else in Nigeria, was thought to be good enough for the delivery. Last year, Yar’Adua’s second daughter Zainab, who is equally married to another governor, Dakingari of Kebbi State, also delivered her baby in the US. Prior to embarking on his US trip, Yuguda had just returned to Nigeria empty-handed after spending several days in Saudi Arabia unable to see Yar’Adua or confirm his condition. He was evacuated to Jeddah under a medical emergency two weeks ago. https://www.saharareporters.com/images/stories/nafisa_yuguda_srweb.jpg Nafisat and hubby, Isah Jagudah Upon arrival in New York, the full machinery of Nigerian diplomatic presence in the United States was fully and shamelessly put in at the service of the governor. Yuguda and his family were personally accompanied and driven to the Chevy Chase area of Maryland by Ambassador Wakil, the acting Nigerian ambassador to the US, who had gone all the way to New York to receive them. They following day, Yuguda and his family moved out of the Chevy Chase accommodation, where they stayed overnight, into a tastefully furnished apartment in Bethseda, Maryland. Nafisat is expected to stay there until she has her baby, and the Nigerian embassy in Washington DC will put its resources to cater for their every need. According to sources in Washington DC, Yuguda will leave on Arik Air on Friday, but it is not clear if he will be returning to his other wives, or to Saudi Arabia, as Bauchi State does not seem to hold any priority for the governor. Meanwhile, officials of the Nigerian government now confirm that Yar’Adua was in “intensive care,” as had earlier been reported by Saharareporters when we detailed how he was unconscious for four hours in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, November 24, a situation which led his aides to spread the word that he had passed on to the great beyond. Since his purported recovery from coma, no one, except his wife, has seen Yar’Adua or spoken to him. Although Yar’Adua’s VP, Goodluck Jonathan, has tried to convey the impression that he has been in touch, Saharareporters can authoritatively report that he has not spoken to his boss since Monday, November 23 shortly before Yar’Adua was evacuated. At this point, it is not even known if Yar’Adua can speak, but his emergency medical travel scuttled a planned vacation by Mr. Jonathan who had asked to go on vacation for his routine medical check-up in the US. Nigerian doctors do not trust either their own doctors or hospitals, and they do little to improve the nation’s medical infrastructure and facilities. Yar’Adua suffers from advanced Churg Strauss Disease, in relation to which he recently admitted suffering from “Acute Pericarditis,” a critical complication of an auto-immune disease that continues to eat away at his vital organs. He has not, however, admitted to suffering from Churg Strauss syndrome. Since admitting to a heart condition, however, many Nigerians—including his mother, friends, associates, professional bodies and individuals—have called upon Yar’Adua to resign from office and face his health condition squarely, but he seems to have chosen power over his own health. Although it is not known if he is able to make any decisions at this time, it is known that his wife, Turai and some associates, particularly the Minister of Agriculture, Abba Rumna, have waged a ferocious campaign against Nigerians that are insisting that Yar’Adua is impaired and ought to obey the constitution and resign. Some of those agitators, who come from his own home state, Katsina, co-signed a popular petition that has been circulating worldwide, and they cite, and stand by the rule of law. But a murderous group led by Yar’adua’s cousin, Zubair Gafai and funded by the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Development Trust Fund (PTDF),Muttaqha Rabe Darma, have tragetted the former speaker of the House of Representatives and several other Katsina citizens with threats of assassination other repercussions. Ruma and the Attorney General of the Federation, Michael Aondoakaa, who seem to be feeling very powerful, have also concluded plans to “impeach” the President of the Nigeria Bar Association, Rotimi Akeredolu, at the upcoming National Executive Council (NEC) of the NBA. In addition, Ruma, who only spends foreign currency in Abuja, is heavily invested in the local media to keep Yar’Adua’s health matters, especially its severity, off the radar. Our sources cited a bizarre report by Lagos-based ThisDay newspaper yesterday to the effect that Yar’Adua’s letter requesting the VP to take over was “seized,” and returned to him by his legislative aide, Mohmammed Abba Aji, was part of a grand plot to divert attention from Yar’Adua’s health crisis and create some new fall guys for the failure of Yar’Adua to hand over to his VP as is required by the Nigerian constitution. Even though, Abba Aji has denied the charges, ThisDay curiously has claimed they “stand by their story,” without providing any evidence to affirm the veracity of the story. Instead, they wrote a few tepid posers for Abba Aji, which clearly did not mesh with their earlier proclamation that he opened the letter on his way to the National Assembly, returned it to Yar’Adua, and that Yar’Adua requested the AGF to give a legal advice that never came before he was evacuated. Aondoakaa did not deny the story because apparently he might have been in on the plan to take a fall on Yar’Adua’s behalf. Saharareporters sources said the story couldn’t have been true because, according to his doctor’s account, Yar’Adua fell ill late on Friday, when the Senate was not in session. They also attested to the fact that Abba Aji was given a draft of the budget, an incomplete copy of which he hurriedly delivered, to the National Assembly. It would be recalled that the National Assembly only received a four-page PowerPoint presentation of the national “budget.” Political associates of Yar’Adua in Katsina say he is adept at using people around him to do his dirty jobs so as to look good, and then abandon them. While he was Katsina Governor, he travelled to Germany for six months to seek medical treatment, and handed over to his deputy, Tukur Bakori. As soon as he returned, and to cover up for his absence, Yar’Adua then had Bakori impeached for corruption, by the state legislature. The current Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Abdullahi Garba Aminchi, was then appointed to the position of Yar'Adua's Deputy Governor. In his current position, Minchi has so far done well in planting stories in both foreign and local media manipulating Yar’Adua’s health-related information. It was he who first claimed that Yar’Adua was headed to Hajj with his wife, even though at the time, Yar’Adua was battling for life in intensive care. And recently, he claimed that Yar’Adua was watching soccer games on TV in his Jeddah hospital bed. It is not known if Yar’Adua loves soccer that much since he did not watch any of the games of the recently concluded Under-17 tournament, including the final which was held in Abuja. Minchi knew fully well that Nigerians, being soccer fanatics, would share some sympathy with a soccer–watching absentee president, but he may have under-estimated their concern at how such a leader, who swears by the rule of law, would abandon his obligations under the constitution. In addition, Yar’Adua’s Minister of Information, Dora Akunyili, has stepped up propaganda to attack those calling for Yar’Adua’s resignation. In the last two days, including today, she has sent our curious press releases through her assistant, Julius Ogunro. In the first, she speaks on behalf of Yar’Adua’s mother to deny that she does not have any disagreement with his wife Turai; the release was sent with photos of Yar’Adua’s sister, Hajiya Mairo Musa Yar’adua. In the second, which she sent out today on behalf of Hon. Goddy Ikerave, a former member of the National Assembly, she attacked former Speaker Masari, who last week signed the patriotic petition urging the president to show loyalty to the constitution of Nigeria. The latest intrigues are aimed are keeping Nigerians distracted and divided, which perfectly suits Yar’Adua’s agenda to cling on to power even though he would be unable to function in any serious capacity, having been sidelined by a relentless disease. Last week, a Lebanese–American cardiac electrophysiologist, whose identity remains a secret, was to travel to meet him in Nigeria, but our sources said he had to be flown to Saudi Arabia because Yar’Adua could not travel to Nigeria last Wednesday as had been planned by members of his kitchen cabinet who wished to keep up the ruse that their meal ticket is well enough to rule 150 million people. The cross-continental hiring of an electrophysiologist signals that Yar’Adua’s condition may be more serious than has been understood up to now, or diagnosed. Electrophysiologists are rare and specialized cardiologists who diagnose and treat of abnormal heart rhythms known as “Arrhythmias”. The field is so new and their training so rigorous that some states in the United States have fewer than 10. Arrhythmias could be deadly complication in Acute Pericarditis. This means that to get one of them assigned to an individual and flown to Nigeria at such short notice must be costing a good chunk of the national budget Yar’Adua has been too sick to prepare. http://www.saharareporters.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4480:yaraduas-daughter-in-the-us-to-have-a-baby-as-father-continues-search-for-answers-and-political-manipulators-take-over-nigeria&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18 |
Andy Uba in fresh bid to snatch Anambra governorship; he and Iwu fine-tune strategy WRITTEN BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORK MONDAY, 07 DECEMBER 2009 23:18 Saharareporters has just learned of the political maneuvers by Emmanuel Nnamdi (Andy) Uba to position himself to once again snatch Government House, Awka. Uba, who was enthroned as “governor” after a notoriously fraudulent election in April 2007, was quickly removed from office by an order of the Supreme Court. His numerous efforts to regain his illegally acquired post by bribing judges failed to bear fruit as both the Court of Appeal as well as the Supreme Court denied his petitions. Uba has now entered the field as the governorship candidate of the Labour Party, one of the parties he sponsored during the registration of political parties. https://www.saharareporters.com/images/stories/andy_uba_drt.jpg Anambra thug, Nnamdi(Andy) Uba Apart from using the Labour Party, Uba’s latest political plot involves the purchase of several parties’ governorship tickets, according to highly knowledgeable sources in his camp as well as within the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In assuming the ticket of the Labour Party, Uba met INEC’s deadline for political parties to substitute the names of their candidates for the February 6, 2010 gubernatorial election in Anambra. That deadline is tomorrow, Tuesday, December 8 – a day Uba will be unveiled as the candidate of the Labour Party. Our sources disclosed that Andy Uba has not only acquired the ticket of the Labour Party, but that he has doled out huge cash payments to mop up the tickets of several other parties, including that of the All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP). A source within Uba’s inner circle said that the former senior aide on domestic matters to President Olusegun Obasanjo had been quietly buying up numerous marginal political parties as part of a political strategy he fine-tuned with help from INEC chairman Maurice Iwu. Shortly after Uba emerges tomorrow, he will move fast in the coming weeks to stage political campaigns in which crowds will be rented. During these rallies, Uba will give the platform to the candidates of the parties he has purchased to announce their withdrawal from the governorship race and to pledge support for Uba’s ticket. “Professor Iwu has promised Andy that INEC will announce him as the next governor if Chief Uba can create the impression that he’s a popular candidate,” disclosed an INEC source familiar with the details. The source said that Iwu feels himself to be under enormous pressure, but is determined to keep his pledge to Uba who, as special assistant to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, championed Iwu’s appointment as head of INEC. Iwu, a former professor of pharmacology with a fraudulent history, has complained to associates that he considers himself the target of the Chinua Achebe colloquium slated for December 11 at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Iwu has told his associates that Achebe, who is the convener of the colloquium, “wants to rubbish him because he put Andy as governor in 2007.” The colloquium, which will draw participants from Nigeria, the US, Britain and elsewhere, will focus on ways of combating electoral malpractices in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. Iwu’s counterpart in Ghana has been invited to speak, but the INEC chair, who was also invited but was not willing to attend, has been lying that he was snubbed. Sources close to Iwu said the INEC chair suspects that the Anambra election may be his last assignment, and is casting his lot with Uba, who is said to be dependable when it comes to delivering on bribes. Even so, Iwu has been playing cat-and-mouse games, at one time promising former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu that Ms. Uchenna Ekwunife, the PPA governorship candidate in Anambra, will surely be declared winner. “It’s all part of Professor Iwu’s game plan to throw every other candidate off-guard while he works to deliver the state to Andy,” said a highly placed INEC source. “Prof. has told Andy that all he needs to do is to bring in rented crowds to his rallies, get the media, especially TV stations, to give prominent coverage to his campaigns, and line up some of the other candidates to publicly bow out and proclaim their support for him – and Prof. will deliver the rest,” a source who knows about the plan told us. One of the candidates bought by Uba is Mike Ejezie, who currently holds the ANPP governorship ticket. Ejezie, a stockbroker by professional, was desperate to cash out when Andy Uba made a bid. Ejezie reportedly lost close to a billion naira in Nigeria’s stock market crash. “Chief Ejezie invested all his money, and more that he borrowed, into the stock market and fell on hard times when the market went belly up. He was very relieved when Chief Uba called to buy his ticket,” said a source close to the ANPP candidate. In the next few weeks, Ejezie and other bought candidates will start showing up at Uba’s campaigns to announce their endorsement. In addition to cash payments, Uba also promised board appointments and commissionership posts to some of the governorship candidates who sold their tickets, said our sources. Two sources, one within Uba’s camp, the other in INEC, also disclosed that Andy Uba and Iwu have solved a huge plank of their problem by using the judiciary to neutralize the governorship campaign of former CBN governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo. The sources disclosed that Iwu deeply despises Soludo for snatching away the award of the contract for ballot papers for the 2007 elections. In addition, Soludo had insulted Iwu by calling him “an slowpoke” to his face during a meeting with former President Obasanjo. Although Soludo apologized to Iwu at the inception of his gubernatorial campaign, the INEC chair bluntly responded that he could not support Soludo’s governorship campaign. Our sources revealed, however, that the INEC chairman confessed to Uba that, unless the former CBN governor is removed from the race, the PDP could successfully pressure the electoral commission to hand Anambra to Soludo. The sources stated that Iwu and Uba then designed a plan to remove Soludo from contention. Uba reportedly provided the cash that persuaded an Appeal Court panel headed by Justice Mary Odili (wife of former Rivers State Governor Peter Odili) to order INEC not to recognize Soludo as the PDP candidate. Like her husband, Justice Odili has a reputation as one of the justices most open to accepting bribes. Justice Odili’s ruling against Soludo generated widespread approval because Soludo remains hugely unpopular among most of the party’s grassroots in Anambra. His reputation for arrogance and the fact that he was imposed by a cabal that includes former Vice President Alex Ekwueme, PDP godfather Tony Anenih, big-time smuggler, Mr. Mangal, and the duo of Umaru Yar’Adua and Turai Yar’Adua have added to Soludo’s unpopularity. Uba, who openly jokes to his associates that Ekwueme is “a cheap love-peddler,” has also boasted that he and his former boss, Obasanjo, have the antidote for dealing with Anenih, the former chair of the PDP’s board of trustees until Obasanjo snatched the post away. Another factor against Soludo is that he is widely perceived as a corrupt CBN governor who reaped a great fortune while letting the banks he was supposed to supervise to flout many rules that endangered the banking sector. After Soludo ran to the Supreme Court to seek a reversal of the appellate court’s ruling, Uba vowed to his associates to use his superior wealth to checkmate the former CBN governor. “Uba sees this as a test of who has more money,” said one of our sources, “and even though Professor Soludo cornered a lot of cash at the Central Bank, Andy can bury him in any contest involving cash.” Uba and Soludo used to be bedfellows for most of their years as part of Obasanjo’s innermost circle. But the two men fell apart after Uba refused Soludo’s pleas to put the name of one of his relatives as the “winner” of a seat in the House of Representatives. The two men took their quarrel to Obasanjo, but after Obasanjo ordered Uba to give the ticket to Soludo’s relative, Uba instructed Iwu to announce that the seat was won by the Labour Party candidate – the man Uba wanted originally to give the post. Since then, Soludo has complained to people that Uba and Obasanjo must have designed the plan to deny his relative the post. That informed his courtship of Anenih, one of Obasanjo’s arch-enemies, as one of his chief sponsors. Saharareporters has yet to ascertain whether Andy Uba filed his nomination papers with the prefix of “Dr.” Uba, who has not completed a bachelor’s degree at any university, often parades himself as a holder of a doctorate degree from “Buxton University,” a non-existent institution that is notorious for selling degrees. In order to deflect criticism for being an impostor, Uba recently paid the authorities of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka to bestow an honorary doctorate degree on him. “Andy believes that a way to silence his critics who say he has no degrees,” said a source close to him. Our sources said Uba was aware that the faction of the PDP that backed Soludo – including Yar’Adua – may wish to sabotage Uba’s plan, but that the former domestic assistant to Obasanjo has his way of “settling” the opposition. Uba’s trump card, the source said, is to immediately declare that he is dumping the Labour Party and returning to the PDP fold the moment Iwu awards him the governorship. “How can the party fight him then when he can claim to have brought Anambra back to them?” said the source. Contacted in Enugu on Uba’s machinations, an opposition candidate said he was well aware of Iwu’s determination to hijack the state and give it to Uba, but said there was no cause for alarm. “But I can assure you that it’s not going to be easy this time around. Remember that Andy thought he had so much money he could just buy any judge. Did that work? No!” He said that there “is no longer Emperor Obasanjo to give Andy thousands of soldiers to ride roughshod over our people,” adding that “Professor Iwu may be biting more than he can chew this time around.” The candidate, who sought anonymity, stated that some people in Anambra “are now willing to use violence to ensure that Iwu, Uba and their master Obasanjo can’t treat us the way you treat slaves. Those days are gone, my friend.” http://www.saharareporters.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4473:andy-uba-in-fresh-bid-to-snatch-anambra-governorship-he-and-iwu-fine-tune-strategy&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18 |

Yoruba Language may be lost in 10 years - Alao-Akala warns By Dare Adekanmbi Tuesday, December 8, 2009 UNLESS conscious efforts are made at reversing its neglect by young and old, Yoruba Language may go into extinction in the next 10 years, Oyo State governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, has warned. http://odili.net/news/source/2009/dec/8/605.html Chief Alao-Akala dropped the warning on Monday at the opening ceremony of the maiden Oyo State festival in Ibadan. The governor, who lamented the premium being placed on English Language at the expense of the indigenous codes, charged the older generation of Yoruba to prioritise transmitting of culture values, especially the language of the ethnic group, to younger generations. He enjoined policy makers and those in government to borrow from the example of countries like Japan and China, who had adopted the policy of educating students through their indigenous languages, adding that the leadership of such countries should enthral Nigeria. While stressing the need for teachers to impart quality Yoruba culture in the pupils, Alao-Akala said Nigeria could not be indifferent to the cultural re-awakening and revival sweeping through the world. “The festival, which begins today, will set the pace for the revival of our cultural heritage. There has, for a long time, been a misconception of what cultural values stand for. A clear distinction should be made between religion and culture. One evil effect of colonialism is the assault on our culture. We were actively encouraged to forget our past,” he added. The governor also bemoaned the neglect of the practice of divining the future of newly born children, adding that the practice should not be misconstrued as glorification of idolatry. He said that the state would use the festival to rebuild and energise the tourism potential, with a view to transforming all sectors of the state’s economy. |

Taraba House considers hanging for kidnappers Posted To The Web: Tuesday, December 08, 2009 - Charles Akpeji, Jalingo A BILL prohibiting kidnapping and abduction of persons in Taraba State was yesterday co-sponsored by both Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Istifanus H. Gbana and his Deputy, Bishir Marafa Abba. The bill, which has gone through the second reading, seeks the death penalty by hanging for convicted kidnappers. It is tagged: "The Taraba State Kidnap and Abduction Prohibition Law 2009". Debating it on the floor of the House yesterday, members lauded the initiators of the bill, saying it would go a long way to discourage kidnappers from the criminal act through the stiff penalty it proposed. Speaking with journalists at the Assembly complex, Abba said the bill was necessary to protect all Nigerians and expatriates living in Taraba. However, Abba linked the scourge of kidnapping and abduction to the rising youth unemployment in the country and charged government at all levels to address the problem of youth unemployment across the nation. His words: "Government has to do something positive about unemployment among the youths in the country. Once this is done, there will be a drastic reduction in crime and vices, include kidnapping and abduction in the country". Abba also charged individuals, corporate organisations and philanthropists to help the youths by employing them, saying the "government alone cannot solve the unemployment problem". The bill read in part: "A person who kidnaps or abducts or by other means instils fear or tricks, takes another person with intent to demand ransom or compels another person to do anything against his will commits an offence". "Any person who contravenes the provision of subsection (1) of this law, according to the bill, "where the life of the person kidnapped, abducted or seized is lost in the process is liable on conviction to death by hanging". It further stated that any person who attempts "to commit the act of kidnapping or abduction of person commits an offence under this law and is liable on conviction to 20 years imprisonment without an option of fine". To accelerate the passage of the bill, the House Committee on Justice and Security was promptly mandated to deliberate on it and call for public hearings. http://news.onlinenigeria.com/templates/?a=11444&z=12 |
Acting is fulfilling… it pays my bills----LADI Joy Torty https://news.onlinenigeria.com/articlefiles/11455-ladi.jpg LADI Joy Torty LADI Joy Torty has earned a co-star status with her portrayal of Adaku — a village beauty, who lives in two worlds in the Snake Girl, a film, which bothers on love and bravery -- with Emeka Ike in a lead role. The Plateau State-born actress not only thrilled most moviegoers with her role, she got them bathing her with a number of aliases — one of them, the 'newest jewel' on the turf. In fact, some even predicted that the former athlete, model, beauty queen and product of Mass Communication department of the University of Jos, would make a good act if handled by a good home movie producer. True to predictions, Ladi, the former Miss UNIJOS, has somewhat emerged a screen favourite and an actress that has continued to draw admiration from within and outside the continent. About a month, the near six-footer, who currently enjoys super roles on screen and who won the Miss Northern Universities beauty pageant in 2002, a year after she emerged Miss UNIJOS, was named the Best New African Actress by the organisers of the yearly Zulu African Film Academy Awards (ZAFAA). Moviedom caught up with the actress and apart from posting a one liner to almost all the questions she was asked, the medaled athlete (she got gold medal for Kaduna State in sprint event in the 1998 National Sports Festival) would not discuss ‘matters of the heart’ hard as we pressed. Congratulations on the award Thank you. I feel honoured. It made me feel that everyone identifies with the efforts, I have put into the job. Honestly, it made me feel that the industry, the organisers of ZAFAA and my fans, so far, identify with my efforts. I thank them for the award of Best New African Actress. For me, it is a good recognition and I say so, because no one can be in this industry for years and doesn't get a nomination in any award, but when he or she gets one, it has to be in category. You have been missing in action? As much as I love to always be on set, I equally consider the script carefully before accepting the job, knowing that there is a lot of expectation out there. That may be why you don’t get to see me all the time. In her movie pouch Honestly, I can’t remember the number of the movies I have partaken in so far, but I would have done over 15 movies. And as per the most challenging, I would say every script comes with its challenges and I do my best to play the roles; and according to the dictates of the script. Most memorable movie outing I have heard a lot of people say I did very well in the Snake Girl. So many people think so, but I put as much effort in every job I do and have done. Your NGO on girl child education Oh no! Unfortunately it’s no longer functioning. I have been too busy to manage it all alone. But I hope to make it better soon. Why she dumped athletics for entertainment? For me, what I do is to try as much as I can to achieve my goals in everything I do or had done at a given point in time. Once I have attained my goal, I move on and once I move on to other things, it means I am done with what I left behind. I was done with athletics by the time I hung my canvass for modeling and acting. Who is she seeing and what is this talk about her and the actor Akume Akume? Well, first of all, matters of the heart just like the one you have just asked are not meant to be publicised. I would be lying if I say I am not in any relationship, but what I won’t do is to discuss it on the pages of the newspaper. So, for me matters of the heart are not meant to be publicized. As for my big brother Akume, (laughs), I will put it simply: Akume Akume is happily married. He is more like a brother to me and if you see both of us in television soaps or in movies, it's just casting that brought us together and nothing more. Off the beat, turn-on and off I do have a daily life and I love nature. I could be in the farm all day and may even choose to ride a horse. That is me. That is just Ladi. The only problem I have doing this, is the feelings of losing my private life. It bugs me. But I like the job, it’s fulfilling. It pays my bills and I thank God. As for turn on, I love happy people and self-centered people irritate me. As for me, I see myself as cluster-phobic. Funny isn’t it? And I would always want to be the woman that I am, giving an opportunity to choose a sex. I have a forgiven spirit There is absolutely nothing that you will do to me that I won’t forgive, particularly if the person is so dear to me; absolutely nothing. There is really nothing I cannot forgive. Saddest moment in life It was the great loss I suffered on April 16, 1998. That was the day I lost my dad. There was simply no more motivation for me. He stood solidly behind me. So, when he died, I lost interest completely in life because he was a motivating factor. Career ambition Wow, I want to be starred in a Hollywood film and to get to the height of my career. Marriage? Of course, every young woman wants to settle down. When that time comes, you will sure be the first to know my decision. Star sign and early schools I am an Aquarian. I was born in Kaduna, grew up in Kaduna and attended Narayi Primary School. Most memorable childhood pranks Hmmm , I think it is hiding inside the kitchen cabinet and eating what I should not be eating. Choice of food I have no particular food choice. What I know is that I eat well and for me, it is not in the quantity, but the quality. http://news.onlinenigeria.com/templates/?a=11455&z=31 |
