I think Yoruba council of elders should declare a compulsory one week fasting and prayers for PDP and not Yaradua alone.

Armed Robbers Kept Kobe from Practicing
Posted Dec 9th 2009 2:58PM by TMZ Staff
It takes five gun-toting men to keep Kobe Bryant from stepping on the basketball court -- we're told the superstar had to miss a Los Angeles Lakers practice this morning in the wake of a violent robbery in his neighborhood.

Sources close to the team tell TMZ Kobe was issued an "excused absence" from a team shootaround at the Lakers practice facility this morning.

Unfortunately for the Utah Jazz, we're told Kobe is expected to play tonight.

Manhunt in Kobe Bryant's Neighborhood

Kobe Bryant's upscale neighborhood in Newport Beach was a dangerous place to be last night -- cops believe several gun-toting henchmen broke into a home near Kobe's place, roughed up a few residents and then ran from police.

Newport Beach police tell TMZ they suspect five men -- armed with handguns -- broke into one home, struck three residents over the head and then tried to rob them.

After a 911 call was made by someone in the backyard, cops arrived and arrested three of the men -- the other two got away and are still on the run.

We haven't been able to verify if Kobe was home at the time.

After the two men escaped, cops authorized an automated phone system to call every home in the neighborhood -- warning residents to be on the lookout for two armed men.

The call also instructed people to lock their doors and windows and call 911 immediately if they suspected anything fishy.

In China: Killer-products' producers executed; In Nigeria: My Pikin producer walks free, asks court to unseal factory
12.09.2009
Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Makers of My Pikin baby teething mixture yesterday urged a Federal High Court in Lagos to unseal their factory.

The factory was closed by the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) shortly after the drug allegedly killed over 50 children.

In the alternative, the manufacturers want the court presided over by Justice Okechukwu Okeke to mandate NAFDAC to unseal the factory and close only the section where the drug was produced.

They also want the court to compel the agency to release the proof of evidence in respect of the allegations to them.

The court had overruled the counsel to the accused persons, A. O Egbohumien (SAN) who urged the court to allow the video of an alleged contempt of court against the Director General of NAFDAC, Dr Paul Orhii and the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) to be played in the court.

The court held that there was no basis for the video to be played in court.

When the matter was mentioned yesterday, Egbohumien told the court that he was ready to move his application on the proof of evidence and the motion for the prosecution to unseal the factory of his clients.

But lawyer to NAFDAC, Tony Ijohor (SAN) noted that he needed time to consult with the Attorney General of the Federation and the NAFDAC boos to be able to take appropriate steps on the application. Justice Okeke then adjourned the matter to January 20 for further hearing.

NAFDAC had charged the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Barewa Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Kola Gbadegbesin Okunola, to court for allegedly making“poisonous teething mixture”.

He was charged along with Adeyemo Abiodun, Egbele Austine Eromosele and Barewa Pharmaceuticals Limited as second, third and fourth accused.

The first count charge read in part: “That the accused persons had on or about October, 2008 manufactured an adulterated drug, My Pikin Teething Mixture with the intent to cause death or grievous bodily harm to members of the public and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section I (a) of the Counterfeit and Fake Drugs and Unwholesome Processed Foods (miscellaneous provisions) Act No. 25 of 1999 and punishable under section 3 of the same Act.”

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

• In Fashola’s Lagos, this school is worse than a pigsty. Will the governor rise to the challenge?

Wednesday, December 9, 2009
It’s a classic case of beauty and the beast. On one hand, it’s supposed to be a primary school, an institution where young, tender hearts are nurtured into graceful, virtuous citizens.

[img]http://odili.net/news/source/2009/dec/9/sun/school[1].gif[/img]
Apostolic Primary School, Kadara, Ebute-Metta

On the other, however, the ambience is one in which those youngsters can only grow into tough, rough, anti-social urchins, taking a cue from the milieu in which they were nurtured.

Ironically, it is called Apostolic Primary School, Kadara, Ebute-Metta, Lagos. Apostolic? Nothing can be far from it. There’s absolutely nothing edifying or uplifting about this school. Right from the gate, what confronts you is decay, rot, garbage, and more decay. And when you venture in, you feel like Alice in Wonderland.

A wonderland of neglect, degeneracy and waste. Even in a failed state like Somalia or Sudan, this should not be called a school, not to talk of in Lagos, the famed Centre of Excellence, where Gov Babatunde Raji Fashola has been taking strides that have earned him applause nationwide.

In this Apostolic Primary School, when pupils saunter in for studies in the mornings, what often confronts them? Used condoms on the floor, sachets and bottles of strong drinks consumed overnight by revellers, remnants of cigarettes, Indian Hemp, and then, wait for it, faeces splattered all over the walls. Yes, this school is home for pupils in the day, and for miscreants at night.

Like attracts like. No doubt. Street urchins, known as Area Boys in local parlance, are attracted to this school, not just because of its location in a seedy neighbourhood, but because the very spectacle of the institution is a centripetal force, which draws them like ants to sugar. Blown off roofs, decayed ceilings, peeling walls, stagnant gutters, overfilled toilets sending a stink to the heavens. In fact, a pig may consider suing for slander and defamation of character, if you dare call the place a pigsty.

Ironically, this is not the first time Daily Sun is calling attention to this parody of an education institution. In our edition of February 28, 2008, on Page 17, we had drawn the attention of the state government to the sheer travesty called a school. We had written: “The school is located in an area inhabited mostly by hard-faced, homeless street urchins known more in Lagos as Area Boys. As you navigate through the Osholanke/Kadara Beach Road junction, your nose is greeted by the strong smell of marijuana from every angle.

To describe the school environment as a slum, is in truth, edifying.”

Few days after the 2008 publication, Daily Sun got the cheering news that Gov Fashola had ordered an immediate rehabilitation of the school. Joy, ecstasy, praises for a responsive governor. But today, 21 months later, it is apparent that we all rejoiced too early. Apostolic Primary School is not only in its old form, it is in a worse state. Deterioration, degradation all the way.

During a recent visit, this reporter was shocked to the marrows. The decrepit building, which served as office for the Head Teacher and other senior staffers, has given way. Crumbled. Despite the valiant efforts of the Parents/Teachers Association (PTA), what stands as classrooms are no better than caves, some with holes deep enough to provide haven for wild animals. The school, established in 1955, is no doubt, in the final gasps, the last throes of death.

Hear Mr Rasaq Onamade, a member of the PTA: “The situation is really, really bad. We don’t want the school taken away from this community, but government should do something fast. The school is surrounded by saw-millers, and children daily inhale sawdust particles. It is not good for their health. A fence should be constructed to keep miscreants away at night. We hear they even bring in females to rape. They do all sorts of abominable things. Gov Fashola should please rescue the innocent ones who school here.”

Mrs Fausat Raheem, another PTA member says twice, her child had come home, waving condoms like a trophy won in a school contest. The toddler did not know that not all that appear like balloons are truly playthings.

“The surrounding is not healthy. It is not fit for children to grow up in,” Mrs Raheem declares sadly, adding that if you venture into the place at night, “you will shed tears.” Azeez Aremu, a 12-year-old pupil says the school toilet has long been abandoned, “because it is now blocked.” He adds: “The environment is unhealthy for us.”

Who will save Apostolic Primary School? Is it Gov Fashola, or shall we look for another? But Fashola it is, because he has not been known to balk at any battle. He will win this one too.

FamilyDo Women’s Attitude Worsen After Marriage? by AloyEmeka6(op): 7:55pm On Dec 09, 2009
Women’s attitudes worsen after marriage
With Auntie Agatha gataedo@yahoo.com, agatha.edo@gmail.com Tel: 08054500626

Dear Agatha,

Thanks a million times for your efforts to redeem the family unit from the abyss in which it has been plunged. I thank you for your response of Tuesday, November 24. I actually have several questions to ask. Why do many, if not all women, change for worse after marriage? Why women do prefer stonewalling to opening up and discussing whatsoever it is that is bordering them with their spouse? Can we conclude on a general note that women are close to being impossible? Finally, how can I engender friendship between my wife and I permanently?

http://odili.net/news/source/2009/dec/9/404.html

It burdens me that ladies change after they are married. They change from being loving, caring, understanding, and submissive to something else especially after they start making babies. I have observed with dismay the way my friends’ wives stop listening to their husbands after marriage. They refuse to take to suggestions even when it is obvious they are wrong or ignorant about an issue. These couples hardly see eye to eye on any issue.

Even when the man suspects something is amiss and asks the ‘what’ question, the usual answer is “nothing” and the stonewalling continues. Since I have observed this on several women, I dare to ask, why the trend? This is making me having a second thought about getting married somehow.

I desire my wife to be my friend, confidant, and lover forever. How do I achieve that?

Midas.

Dear Midas,

First is the understanding that both men and women are subject to change after a while as a married couple, and that change is relative. Some of the things couples think are changes, in reality, are issues which have always been there but which couples are noticing for the first as they now live together. Again some of these changes come from knowing that all the fears and insecurity of losing one’s love to another person have finally come to an end. Marriage is the reality that this person is finally mine, hence one can relax fully. Unfortunately, in relaxing from fears and anxieties associated with pre-marital relationship comes the tendency to take for granted important things and issues that help firm up a relationship whether pre or post marital. Also familiarity has a way of making unimportant things that are very important. Many women metamorphous from nursing all the insecurities to being very secured in the lives of their men hence begin to manifest some traits they couldn’t during courtship. It is a natural thing that comes from coming tops in a game. As we all know, success not well managed could become arrogant, insensitive and disrespectful. Having ousted all the other women contending for the position of the wife of the man, she feels secured to do as she pleases, including letting the man know that she is as human as he is. A man wishing to have a lasting relationship with his wife must never hesitate to point her at these changes as soon as they begin to appear. Many women actually begin to misbehave unconsciously, often than not, without realizing that they are upsetting the natural balance of the marriage institution.

But when her husband keeps reminding her of her new nature, pointing her at the danger of allowing her new nature swallow up all the good points that put her above all the other women he dated, most women do change. A lot of time the refusal of most men to talk about these changes gives these women the room to continue to misbehave. Also is the decision of most men to engage in affairs outside their marriages. Rather than seek happiness in the arms of other women, both men and women should make efforts to make their marriage work by learning to accept that changes isn’t limited to one gender, but applicable to both sexes.

Marital challenges often than not make so many couples change. Some of the changes come from disappointment due to high expectations. Once couples learn to accept the fact that nobody is super-human and that mistakes are essential to our maturity and development in life, couples would have better marriages. To be happy in your marriage, you must be prepared to tolerate whatever situation God throws at you. Always remember that marriage is like a wrapped gift whose content can only be revealed after it has been unwrapped. You will never fully know the nature of your spouse until after the wedding day. Make up your mind to accept whatever package God gives you and learn to manage the nature of the woman just as she would also learn to manage yours. Knowing that you aren’t perfect goes a long way in making issues appear lighter than the situation presents it to be. Such knowledge would help you to appreciate her the more especially on those days she steps out of line. For you to earn her respect, you must also respect her and live up to your responsibilities as the head and man of the house.

Friendship comes from trust, something you must give her at all time to enable her reciprocate the gesture. Chances are that she would follow the lead you provide her with. Above all, learn to trust God always.

Good luck.

YAR’ADUA: Turai arrives any moment from now - S/West govs, traditional rulers declare 3-day fasting for Yar’Adua - Set up committee on Yoruba unity - AC Reps offer suggestions on Yar’Adua
From Stephen Gbadamosi and Bola Badmus
Wednesday, December 9, 2009

THE First Lady, Hajia Turai Yar'Adua is set to arrive in the country any moment from now. Reliable information reaching Nigerian Tribune as of the time of going to the press revealed that the president’s wife had left Saudi Arabia and was preparing to return to Nigeria.

advertisement

Most of the personal aides of the First Lady had earlier been sent back home after a strong suspicion that some of them had been revealing information concerning the president’s health to people who had been going to the press with it.

It was learnt that there were moves to get the president out of the hospital to an exclusive hotel where marabouts would be able to pray for him but his doctors were said to have kicked against it on the grounds that there may be an emergency, since he is said to have been in and out of coma since he was admitted to King Faisal Hospital, Saudi Arabia, two weeks ago.

The option of asking the president to resign does not arise at the moment as the president, it was learnt, is not even in a position to determine whether to resign or not as his state of health does not allow him.

Meanwhile, Nigerian Tribune observed in Katsina, that security has been beefed up around the President’s house in the town. His Mother Hajiya Dada Habib Yar'Adua has not been attending to visitors as the only thing going on there is prayers by marabouts.

The president's mother is said to be very sad because, just some nine months ago, precisely on March 24, she lost her 65-year old daughter, Hajiya Hadiza Musa Yar'adua, elder sister of President Yar’Adua, in Cairo, Egypt.

His elder brother, Major General Shehu Musa Yar'Adua also died in prison on December 8, 1997. Meanwhile, governors of the South-West geopolitical zone and leading traditional rulers from the zone converged on Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, on Tuesday, to deliberate on the progress of the region and the entire nation, concluding the meeting with a mandate for the Yoruba people, both home and abroad, to fast and pray for the quick recovery of President Umaru Yar’Adua between Thursday and Saturday.

According to a three-point communiqué read by the Ekiti State governor, Mr. Segun Oni, the gathering also set up a committee of three traditional rulers, with the Olowo of Owo, Oba Victor Olateru-Olagbegi, the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe; and the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, Oba Oladele Olasore, as members. The committee was mandated to consult with all traditional rulers in Yorubaland on the need for every member of the race to work towards the unity of Yorubaland.

The meeting canvassed for a situation where the region would speak without divergent view on major national issues.

A committee of governors, led by Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun State, was also set up and mandated to hold further consultations with different groups within the political class with a opinion to resolving identified differences.

Speaking on the resolutions of the meeting, Governor Oni said, “the meeting stated emphatically that the entire Yorubaland should support the president, Alhaji Umaru Yar’Adua, with prayers.

“All Yoruba sons and daughters at home and abroad, irrespective of religious affiliation, should hold fasting and prayers, from Thursday to Saturday, during which supplications should be made to God to restore the president to good health and bring him back home in safely.”

Present at the meeting were Governor Oyinlola; Oyo State governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala; Ondo State deputy governor, Alhaji Alli Olanusi; Ogun State deputy governor, Alhaja Salmot Badru; the Olowo of Owo, Oba Olateru-Olagbegi; the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adejugbe; the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, Oba Olasore; the Olufon of Ifon-Osun, Oba Al-Maroof Adekunle; the Timi of Ede, Oba Muniru Lawal; the Olokuku of Okuku, Oba Abioye Oyebode, among others.

In his welcome address at the session, Governor Oni had earlier called for greater unity among Yoruba leaders, saying Yoruba leaders ought to close ranks to rebuild the Yoruba nation to its old virile, formidable entity that would be a pride of all and envy of others.

“The universal maxim is that a house that is divided against itself cannot stand. Individual struggle, therefore, will certainly lead us nowhere. “For too long, we have left our flanks open; we have allowed cracks in the proverbial wall to provide habitation for reptiles of all shades, shapes and colour. The time is now for us to close ranks and join hands to rebuild the Yoruba nation to its old virile, formidable entity that would be a pride of all and envy of others. It is imperative at this point to trumpet the clarion call, that this is a most auspicious time to put our house in order, for us to speak with a loud and strong voice.”

Governor Oni, who lamented the present state of the Yoruba nation, said: “A time it was when we were trail-blazers. A time it was when we were the pathfinders, always in the forefront. We were the region that other regions aspired and struggled to be at. Where are we today?

“This year marks the 50th anniversary of television broadcast in Africa. The mustard seed was sown in Ibadan, capital of the then Western Region, on 30th September, 1959, to the credit of the Yoruba race.

“Today, what has become of the Liberty Stadium in Ibadan (at a time the best in Nigeria, nay Africa) serves as metaphor of our race and challenges us as a people. And our Cocoa House! Just as we towered above other races, decades gone by, the Cocoa House was the tallest building in Nigeria. A tourist attraction, the number one skyscraper in the Nigerian firmament ought to be. The once a cynosure of all eyes today beckons on us for redemption and reactivation, just as our race demands. This is food for thought for us all.”

Oni noted that it was no longer necessary for the Yoruba nation to continue to apportion blame, saying, “We have gone beyond the stage of apportioning blame, of asking who was wrong. Our concern today is to painstakingly, objectively and sincerely identify what is wrong and fashion the way out, devoid of malice and prejudice. It is time for us to rekindle, reinvent and re-ventilate the affinity, enthusiasm and the unity of purpose displayed by our fore-fathers towards the liberation of our ancestral lineage which we so much cherish with relish, ages gone by.”Meanwhile, the Action Congress (AC) caucus in the House of Representatives, on Tuesday, suggested a middle ground in the ongoing controversy trailing calls for the resignation of ailing President Yar’Adua, urging him to invoke Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution.

Section 145 of the constitution enjoins the president to communicate both the President of the Senate and Speaker, House of Representatives, in the event that he cannot perform functions of his office.

The caucus, led by Honourable Femi Gbaja-biamila, who is also deputy whip of the House, made the call at a press briefing attended by other members, saying from the look of things, Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan was not in charge and could not call the military to war in case there was invasion of Nigeria by external forces.

According to the group of lawmakers, the need to ask the president to invoke the said section was as a result of the controversies generated by calls from certain eminent Nigerians, including former presidential candidate of Alliance for Democracy (AD), Chief Olu Falae and former governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, that the president, who is currently receiving treatment in Saudi Arabia, should resign his office.

The AC lawmakers said invoking Section 145 of the constitution would achieve two things, namely: that there would be a legal transfer of power to Vice-President Jonathan and, again, not being a resignation letter, it should be satisfactory to those opposed to the resignation of President Yar’Adua.

“This would achieve two things. First, there would then be a legal transfer of his powers to the vice-president and second, not being a resignation letter, it should be satisfactory to those who oppose resignation,” the lawmakers stated.

Meanwhile, the Body of Attorneys-General has dissociated itself from the call by the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, for the resignation of President Umaru Yar’Adua, and described it as premature.

The body, which comprises the Commissioners for Justice and Attorneys-General of all the states, issued a communiqué to that effect after their conference which ended on Monday in Jos, Plateau State.

The conference which had as its theme “Justice Sector Reform Agenda In Nigeria,” discussed such topics as the Private Bill on Arbitration Commission; Update on Niger Delta Amnesty Programme; Justice Sector Reform in Nigeria, experiences and lessons learnt; and Investigation and prosecution of religion-based violence in Nigeria among others.

In attendance were the governor of Plateau State, Mr. Jonah Jang, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Michael Aondoakaa (SAN), state Attorneys-General and Commissioners of Justice, representative of DFID, Stakeholders and other members of the private bar.

Also in the communiqué, the body of attorneys-general advised that criminal cases emanating from the states should be prosecuted by the states, adding “the tradition of forwarding case files to the Federal Attorney-General for prosecution should cease.”

In addition, the body advised that the Inspector General of Police should be cautious in transferring case files relating to state offence to his office, and suggested that he should constitute a panel to look into such matter within the affected state.

According to the body, the process of appointment of judges by the National Judicial Commission (NJC) should be reviewed to include attorneys-general of the states and members of the private bar, even as they agreed that members of the private bar should also be considered for direct appointment to appellate courts as it used to be done.

Nollywood Stars Who Are Chronic Bachelors

Fame has a price attached to it one of the prices being paid by actors in the Nigerian movie industry is to remain single. Below are some actors that are diehard bachelors.

https://news.onlinenigeria.com/articlefiles/11471-pat_attah.jpg
PATRICK ATTAH
Pat Attah is due for marriage and should have settled down with a wife. The actor has for a long time become a topic of discussion among ladies in the country.
Pat became famous for his role in the Glamour Girls movie, and he’s just showing by his marital status that he may fit in well for the role he played then in the real life, only that he did not have to defraud anybody as he’s comfortable with his earning,. Pat Attah is at the moment leading the pack of eligible Nollywood bachelors who refused to get married.

AQUILA NJAMAH
He may not be a constant face in various homes, but his name rings bell, Aquila Njamah, the elder brother of Empress and John Njamah, is an example of those that are termed over-ripe for married.
This dreadlocks wearing movie director is just like a magnet that attracts women, what is amazing is that none of them has been able to lay claim to him by dragging him to the altar. Aqila is indeed an eligible bachelor.

https://news.onlinenigeria.com/articlefiles/11471-jim23.jpg
JIM IYKE
He’s referred to as the bad boy of the industry, Jim Iyke is no doubt a man of many ladies. This hot-tempered actor has been kinked to many ladies in the past and at the moment.
Jim at a time dated the daughter of the former vice president of the country, at some other time, he was linked to actress  Rita Dominic and many other ladies. When he fought a popular radio presenter over a Jamaican lady, many were of the hope that Jim would finally settle down, but that is not to be as there are stories about the two going their separate ways. Jim Iyke is at the moment regarded as an unrepentant bachelor who is not likely to settle down soon.

https://news.onlinenigeria.com/articlefiles/11471-ayo.jpg
AYO BADMUS
He played the role of a spoilt child in Tunde Kelani shot movie, Abeni. Ayo Badmus, though has a love child is a bachelor who has had many relationships in the past.
His romance with a young lady that modeled for an antiseptic soap was expected to lead to marriage, the rest as we can say is history. Just like his other colleagues. Ayo Badmus is enjoying his fair share of attention from ladies every now and then, it is just that he’s addicted to life as a bachelor.

https://news.onlinenigeria.com/articlefiles/11471-chidi.jpg
TCHIDI CHIKERE[I guess this reporter should be told the real diff between Chidi Mokeme and TcHidi Chikere]
He’s one movie director that has seen industry is the subject matter. Tchidi Chikere has done many successful films that had won awards in the movie industry.
He has things going on for him so, it is expected that he should have settled down. But Tchidi would not bulge even in the midst of many willing ladies, this has made Tchidi one bachelor who is not repenting.

https://news.onlinenigeria.com/articlefiles/11471-nonso.jpg
NONSO DIOBI

is this not same ENUGU where dead body is every wherehuh?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8403336.stm

On Tuesday, a hospital in Enugu told the BBC it was overwhelmed by bodies being brought to them by police.

The BBC visited the hospital's morgue in the south-eastern city and took photographs, showing piles young men, lying on top of one another and strewn about on tables and floors.

It was established that at least seven people were last seen alive in police custody, accused of kidnapping.
Did you even read what you posted?. Where did it say dead bodies are everywhere?. That report was about the federal police killing innocent citizens in dozens and depositing them at the mortuary in drones.

leahsarahk:
My husband and I have started to attend the Redeemed Christian Church of God.  I am noticing they are legalistic there.  During Sunday school they taught us woman how we should be dressing.  I like to dress modestly anyways because I want to please God.  I noticed too that they preach on abundance alot and we were told that giving moves God the most.  Even fasting and prayer dont move God as much as giving.  Each week they talk to the people who have not tithed let alone give offerings on top of the 10% tithe.  I just am really concerned that this is a different gospel.  I was reading all about God's grace and forgiveness in Galatians.  I believe God loves us weather we are giving him money or not.  I agree with giving, but feel we should be able to give from our heart.  Not that we should be controlled into it.  Does anyone know how to explain this different gospel to me as being true?  I dont think we have to buy our way or work our way to heaven.  Jesus gave us life eternally by dieing on the cross for our sins.  All the old laws are obolished.
Don't mind anybody who tells you that giving is the only condition that will make God love you; such a person is a rogue and is not preaching God's word.

Topic: Pictures of Enugu not pictures of Chime
Is Chime not the Enugu CEO?. Golf court is important but let the rich folks who ply golf build themselves a court. I don't know why the government should use an allocation meant for rural women to build golf courts. I still remember Enugu has a polo stadium maintained with the state's money where only the rich and mighty play around. How many poor people or even the middle class plays polo?

Its either you are perpetually daft or you are from the most remote village in Ekiti state. I've told you before that I have better hospitals than that in my village and its no biggie. Trust me when I tell you that because I understand the medical equipment business very well; The equipments shown in that picture is not up to $5K[US specification]. If fashola built that hospital in every LG in Lagos, then you can talk but that cheap project is a no brainier. Anyway, I forgot I am discussing with BabaPupa who will pose with a bukateria built by fashola and liken it to a 5 star hotel. If you've seen the advanced world before, you will know that such hospital being advertised in the media for Lagos state is more of a dent on their image than a praiseworthy achievement. There are probably over 100 hospitals in Lagos better than that community infirmary built by Lagos state. I've told you my mind; If you think its bad belle, so be it.

This is probably one of the structures late Onoh built because its certainly not Chime's handwork.

Given the amount of money available to Lagos and Enugu, I would say Chime is Best.
You determined that how?. Have you heard of governor Akume?

FACE:
But BP has shown Fashola's achievements. Furthermore, he has not tried to knock Chime's achievements; so why are you guys trying your best to knock Fashola down ?

Areas with large population like Lagos are a lot more difficult to manage than other places in Nigeria. Restoring a semblance of sanity in Lagos deserves an award on its own.

Guys chill, BP is convinced that his man is the best and you feel that your man is better, so why don't you leave at that since both parties no go ever gree.
Nobody is knocking Fashola down. After all i posted over 80% of all his achievements on nairaland and not BP. What am saying is that what he is doing is not extraordinary and when measured with some other states on a balanced financial scale, he may not be outperforming them. I don't do hero worship; my own is to praise you if you do good and point out your flaws when necessary. That is the only way we can move ahead.

I hate it when people start playing tribal card in other to prove that the other party is envious. If Fashola builds road in Lagos and I am from Taraba, will I be banned from using the road?. Wouldn't he be saving me money because my car won't be going to the mechanic workshop?. The same is applicable to other states. The moment Africans start thinking outside the box, the sooner our redemption.
