kemijohnson: Thanks. Understood. Another question. Will addition of Msc to Bsc (Both relevant to ACS profession) add additional points for education? Or i should not bother and just leave the Bsc. I'll once again refer you to page 0 for the answer to this question. Fortify yourself with the right information. Don't be in a rush. For ACS, an applicants year of graduation plays a big role in total years of experience points you can claim. provided your B.SC transcript has enough ICT content to scale through the assessment. you should be fine and vice versa You can introduce your M.SC at your EOI point. Some B.SC will fetch you 10pts, while some 15pts..(depends on ACS's analysis of your transcipt) M.Sc is always 15pts what school and year did you obtain both degrees |

kemijohnson: Hello,
My assessment body isn't requesting for any test of english (ACS). Will i still require this at some point?
Thanks. ACS does not require the English for your assessment. Will you still require it at some point? YES Kindly refer to page 0 of this thread to have a better underatanding of the PR process. Ensure you understand it and ask questions. |

kimipa: Hi Gurus,
Am about to start the Aussie journey, I already have positive assessment from Vetasssess and I want to put in for regional or state nomination, did my IELTS this weekend again because of the new cut of mark of 65, my question is we 3 in the family, but expecting an addition, do i include the baby being expected to make it 4 or leave the family at 3 and NOTIFY them after delivery of the child before issuance of the Golden document.
Thanks in anticipation of your responses. You will have to proceed as family of three, baby has no details or document yet. when you get your ITA, proceed with your application as normal, Do not process your PCC and medicals. when baby comes, inform CO, go for medicals and process PCC. adding baby is free. |

gaphils: Thanks sir @Master belling. Bit I have another thing to be cleared though I hav read almost all the pages of this and the previous threads but no clear to this.
In this point things involving married couple. Both need to have qualification n skills assessed by d relevant authorities and take english test too? If am d principal applicant, my wife's IELTS, age, qualification n Skil assessment will only add 5points t me and she will get no point on her own either , If my wife's is the principal applicant too, my age, IELTS, education n Skil assessment will giv my wife just added 5points as well? Did I understand it. Your analysis on the partner point is correct.
But does it mean dt f u didn't assess ur partner's qualification n skill, he /she wouldn't be allowed t join d oda t live n work in Australia. She is still eligible to join you, only thing is for her to provide evidence of English proficiency which is usually 30 in PTE or 4.5 in IELTS or letter from her school stating she was taught in english (this last option is usually subjected to CO's willingness), so I lean towards taking the English test
My wife is younger than I am, by her age, she is sure to get 30points on age, but she has NCE but has only taught in primary school for jst 2yrs Unfortunately for a teacher NCE will not be recognized, more info https://www.aitsl.edu.au/migrate-to-australia
Me, by d time, I will b getting assessed by EA n finally writing my EOI, I estimated a yr, by den I will only get 15 in my age( 38 nw).I hv 10yrs job experience in line with my education qualification.(HND civil engineering). one year is over stating the fact, you can be done in a 4 months will utmost dedication and fast track
I want t go for 489,o r 190 plz advice me more for who will b d principal and wht other helpful info. We e ready t write my English test, am also gathering my docs for assessment by EA.
best case scenario is for you to be the primary applicant Tnks bellong |

Pool/Pass Mark rises for 489/189/190 visas to 65 points minimumPool/Pass Mark rises from 60 to now 65 points for all 489, 189 and 190 visas lodged in response to an invitation given after 1st July 2018. In effect that means any EOIs at 60 points that have not received an invite by the 1st July will be of no use and will not get an invite. So what does this mean? Breakdown*For 189*: your raw score must be 65 to be eligible. please note that this is just a baseline for you to submit your application, as we can see from the current FY that 75 is what gets you 189 invite. For 190: your raw score must be 60 (previously 55), so when the state approval the additional 5points, your ITA will drop. Although skillselect adds the 5 for you before approval which will make your EOI stand at 65, which is the new eligible point. *For 489*: your raw score must now be 55 (previously 50), so when the state approval the additional 10points, your ITA will drop. Although skillselect adds the 10 for you before approval which will make your EOI stand at 65, which is the new eligible point. The GoodBacklog of EOI's awaiting ITA for 189 will be drastically reduced too as the lion share of the pool is held by 60 pointers. the new rules automatically makes them ineligible for 189, meaning more space for 189 and lesser people in the pool. Although this probably wont last long as people are already being forced to boost their point. The BadAlot of non-prorata will be affected mostly. Alot of people are now automatically out of the race This is a move to migrate more people to regional area (it's good for Australia as a whole though) The UglyThis change is an indicator that Australia PR is only going to keep getting tougher. source: (copied) |

stepo707: Yes it's the same I used for TRS and got the successful outcome.Thats you mean get the update from my organization to read hardware technician, if that's the question, then it's impossible, cos I practically begged and begged before they even did that one for me. I used system administrator and IT support engineer when filling my claims on EOI... So do I just edit it on EOI to hardware technician? Also should I edit the employment to No as recommended by SA? If that's impossible and you are not claiming points for this experience? Then no need to be bothered. Just mark them as irrelevant and you are home dry. You wont even need to submit the reference with your application. |

stepo707: I filled hardware technician 313111 and in my SA application I also filled sane. My supporting documents were my letters from both companies where I worked, skilled assessment outcome, personal statement Yes the message is from SA Its possible the conflict is from your reference letter then? System Admin & IT support engineer must have been stated on them. is it the same you used for TRA? If yes, can you get this update to reflect Hardware technician. Also. when filling your work experience claims in EOI, what Job title did you use "Hardware tech" or System Admin & IT support engineer". All title must be same across all forms and document It's good its SA is flagging this for you before DHA |
Travel › Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Alphadoor: 10:37am On Jun 01, 2018 |
stepo707: I got this just now and the reason why they are saying this is because my 2 jobs(both former and present) have the title System administrator and IT Support Engineer on my letter offered by my company but the jobs i do are really support jobs are that was why i assesed as hardware technician as ANZCO system administrator role job description..I already have a successful/positive outcome from TRA since middle April stating " This letter confirms that Trades Recognition Australia has assessed your application as SUCCESSFUL for the occupation of Hardware Technician-313111 under the TRA Migration Skills Assessment Program"
Kindly advise what i should do guys. My question to you now is " what occupation did you fill in your EOI and your SA application? what supporting document did you provide for the nomination? this message is from SA right? |

Beemer: My question is about proof of funds. NSW and VIC is nominating my occupation. I've seen the required amount on their sites. Would I be required to provide bank statements or any other proof that I have the funds? I've seen conflicting info and just need to be sure as it will be a deciding factor on whether I can apply for it or not.
Thanks a lot. You don't need POF for either states... why are you still considering 190 when people are getting nominated by NSW with the criteria you possess. Load your EOI and hope for the best cos you stand a good chance. My 2 cents |

Shibuk: Good day to you all! A big kudos to the organisers of this forum, God bless you all. Please I will like some clarifications on some issues; My hubby got a positive assessment with ACS as computer network and system Engineer since 2016 but until now he has not been able to get 10 points in PTE / IELTS after like 10 attempts of both. He has 55 points from age, experience and qualifications. As an alternative, in the meantime. You guys guy can apply for 489 to NSW Far south coast. am assuming he has a competent english score 6 minimum in IELTS or 50+ in PTE https://www.rdafsc.com.au/skilled-migration/srs-489/ |

odundimple: Also which universities are tier 1 or tier 2. pls is Obafemi Awolowo University and Federal University of Agriculture of Abeokuta tier 1 or tier 2 universities, want to be sure my friend and I can have our full points for education qualification. hope someone that studied computer science in a federal university of agriculture can still be awarded full points of 15 for education qualification?
Will really appreciate your helpful response.
Thanks For ACS, Your job roles description is what is most important here, it must properly align with ACS standard If you are willing, you can send me a PM to get a second or third eye on the reference letters for you and your friend. For the tittle a simple Business Analyst will be sufficient. As to whether OAU/FUAAB is a tier 1 or 2, from my experience, it does not carry much weight as the ICT content in your transcript, both of which are out of your control and you can't do anything about it since it is whatever it is already. Therefore your focus should be on an airtight reference letter that can get you maximum point in one single shot. |

bbtundey: I'm really inspired the kind of insightful information shared so far. God Bless you all.
I'm planning of getting into the PR race and information read has really got my spirit up. Had a BSc in computer science from OOU in 2010, and had a 5 yrs experience working as a field transmission engineer on Airtel network under Ericsson and Huawei respectively.
Presently, I'm planning on going for my CCIE/MCSE (cloud infrastructure) training and certification in India, after which i wanna apply for Computer Network & System Engineer or Telecommunications Network Engineer under the subclass 189. To the experienced ones, kindly advice on what chance i stand to get an ITA? or the better subclass to apply for.
Age: 32 Thanks. For Computer Network & System Engineer 263111 , ACS www.acs.org will be churning 4 of that 5 yrs for a positive outcome. and you will need at least of 75 points for 189 ITA or 70 for a 190 ITA. For Telecommunications Network Engineer, this is accessed by EA http://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/ and you will be required to write a CDR and you are likely to be able to claim all your experience points. minimum requirement for ITA is 70 points and a four months waiting period. you are equally eligible for a 190 Based on your age, turning 33 meaning -5pts... i will advice you act fast because that 5pts is vital. If i may advice you openly , the CCIE/MSCE has not effect on the PR process, if you can put all that efforts in securing ITA soonest, you will be more glad you did. you will need 20 pts in English you can also explore partner point (5pts) Always aim for maximum point attainable |

feelzee: Hi,
I have read page 0 and understand the process for application to some extent. But i need a little explanation
Am a chartered accountant ( ICAN ) with a Bsc in accounting ( Delta state university) i have over 10 yrs working experience ( 3yrs in external audit and 8yrs as an internal control officer in one of the Nigerian banks ) So my questions are
1. will i get separate point for my ICAN and Bsc accounting evaluations NO 2. My experience is mainly on external audit and internal control which are branches of accounting but i observed that Internal control is not on the list of 189 so what group should i classify it as ( This is the bulk of my experience ) 221213: External Auditor visit https://www.anzscosearch.com/search/ for more information
Answers to these will help kick start my application process on knowing which body to verify my credentials and experience.
Thanks |
