cydophobia: Hello. Am new on this thread,I have read the first page as directed by gurus in the house. While reading,i came across different subclasses (189,190 and 489).A bit confused and I will like to get it cleared before I proceed. My question is that which category will be suitable for my case. Age:35 Education: HND in computer Science Work Experience: 9 yes Married with a daughter. Please I need clarification on this so that I can start the process.
Thank you. what are you confused about? Links to each visa details were provided There is alot to consider on which part. what occuaption is the 9yrs in? Having HND means ACS will deduct 5/6yrs from your experience in order to get a positive assessment. Can you nail 20 points in english..........8_8_8_8 in IELTS or 79_79_79_79 in PTE? Do you have a partner? what occupation(s) do you intend to nominate?

Phlunter01: Good morning fam, please has anyone ever heard of the FOI act. I am tempted to shake some tables in DoHA I am of the opinion the only information you will get is "your application is currently being assessed". no tables to shake. Just keep holding on tight... have you confirmed if any EV has been done? Also on the positive side, be glad its not an NJL issue, so just relax and sip cool aid (as if its easy *sighs* ) |

mostouc: Thanks for your responses. however, I have no intention of moving with my partner now(so that 5 point is out). but can I replace it with 5 point from regional/state nomination. What do u think?
As for claiming 15 point in Experience, I sure I will cos I finished since 2006 and I have been working ever since in IT support section and system administration. my B.Sc is also Computer Science. I also want to ask if my certification exams(ITIL and MCSA) will added any point to to me? Thanks for your swift response Those certificates do not matter. 5 points from state is not always guaranteed, you just have to apply and hope for the best. Have you decide on what to nominate? |

iamblisz: Good day sir, thank you for all what you have said through out the thread, I have been following this thread silently Here is my maximum attainable points. Age - 30 pts IELTs- nil Experience - nil ( except nysc, passed out few weeks ago) Degree - b.tech quantity surveying(five years course) 10 pts I also saw my skill on the list.
Pls do I stand a chance, I wanted to go for masters but I was directed to come to this thread for PR. From the above. 45 can't be your maximum attainable points, You need IELTS score : 20pts is a must for a better chance. In total... You will have 65 (maximum attainable points).. Check for states that sponsosr your occupation. Visit anzscosearch website for in depth snapshot. 65 will position you well for 190 or 489 |

mostouc: Hi Experienced guyz.
Age = 34 point 25 Point Degree = M.Sc (Computer Science)= 15 Point Experience = Over 8 yrs = so Expecting 15 ( all Experience is on IT Support /officer Analyst/Support/Engineer) English Test == Not yet Taken == with 10 in English, I should getting 65 points
So based on my experience, I can go for the following skill set
ICT Customer Support Officer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) TRA preferred
ICT Support and Test Engineers nec (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Technicians nec ( 190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) TRA ICT Systems Test Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS Systems Administrator (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S) )ACS
now which of the skill should I use and can I apply for assessment without English test result? NONE, you need to have at least competent English test result
kindly advice. Thanks in anticipation. I see you have done your homework .. that's nice For you to claim that 15 experience point it's subject to ACS approval and year of graduation. but for TRA you stand a better chance of getting the 15ptshow about your B.sc details?? Except you are applying today, 65 may only be good for TAS 489 and NSW far south 489, If you can submit both for TRA and ACS assessment. ( the game is that tough now) Also you can explore partner points https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/supporting/Pages/skilled/partner-skills-documents.aspx In general, Aiming for 65 is not going to help you, Aim for Maximum point attainable by you ( am guessing a 75/ 80 based on the above) Age 25 Edu 15 Eng: 20 Exp: 15 or 10 Partner 5 75 / 80 |

Embassy4u: OK, thanks alot for your response. Honestly, the issue is just an issue without a Proof. No one even knows the particular person that posted such a post. But, do you have any idea how long it takes to treat cases of a reported post? Worrying about about how long it will take should be not the first thing First step is to report the post. have you done that? then you escalate to the mods if nothing is being done. |

Embassy4u: Good day @bellong and other Ogas in the house. A false information was posted since last year on Nairaland which has someone's name and the person in question is about to apply for visa. Pls my question is how to get such a thread pulled down as there are no evidences whatsoever to back the claims of the person. But this is likely to dent such person's name online unjustly. Kindly advice what steps the person can take. I actually suggested if any moderator can be contacted to help close or ban the thread or better still get any Nairaland admin to help pull the post or thread down totally to avoid Troubles with NJL with this current wahala of DIBP. Pls kindly help anyone who has any lead as how this can be resolved asap. Thanks Just go ahead and report the thread. I don't see any other way around it. Also, you can gather your evidence against the accusation as a pro-active move should in case things go south |

DottaofGod: God is indeed great! Plz a cousin of mine has been in great pains due to the NJL she received. Was asked to comment in writing. However she is in the process of fetching supporting docs but confused on what it means to send her response in writing.Does it mean she ll have to type, printout and sign her comment before uploading (YES) or what? Secondly, ll she have to also include the previous documents she sent during the visa application alongside the new evidence? Please I will welcome your suggestion, pls Thank you what is the reason for the NJL? No need for previous documents since its already with DHA. |

BKings: Sir bellong o, please I need a little clarification to this issue. I finished in 2008 but did my clearance in 2011 and went for service 2012. As a result, my statement of result and certificate bears 2011 but my transcript says 2008/2009. Will this pose an issue with EA or DHA as I want to claim work experience from 2010? Please great people kindly help me out here Skill employment met date are usually counted from the year indicated on certificate. You can claim experience from 2010 but am certain that EA/DHA will only recognize/approve from year of your graduation in this scenario which is 2011 (the month stated on the cert is also considered). |

tunlex01: Does anyone know if a draw has been conducted since the beginning of the financial year in July? This is to help me plan my next move.
SA now nominates my occupation. the list was updated today 16.7.18.
Must my total point be 65 before any of the states nominates me? NT and SA require AU $35,000 and 20,000 respectively for individual applicant requesting for nomination. How easy it is to cross this hurdle as I dont have 9m/5.4m?
I also find this on NT website real feedback from NT employers on your skills and experience (auto-generated responses from job websites and employer HR departments are insufficient)Does this mean I have to start applying for jobs from Nigeria to get a nomination?
Please help my solution A draw has been conducted on the 11th of July. for SA, you just need to say you have it, no proof or evidence required. Dont know about NT yes your total score must 65 with state nomination point inclusive |

jandedfelloh: Thank you. Please if i aquire 20 on English, 30 my age and 10 for academics. if i apply for state nomination wch makes it 70. for 489
Will it still be tough even without the points from work exp? It's not impossible, however, there are many IF's to consider How long to nail 20pts, How long will assessment take? and most importantly...........will the state required point still be at 70 by the time you acquire 70. what is the maximum point you think you can attain? your academics can still be 15 anyways depending on assessment outcome whats is the maximum point you can attain. All in all, 20 points is key though............................ maybe you should start from there. what occupation are you planning to nominate? |

jandedfelloh: Please bro. I have been sending you Pm. Pls reply.
I just need info on how to go about the ACS. I need your guidance. I have a BSc in computer science from a federal uni. I have a 1 yr work experience in an IT company although it was 6 months apart. Then I have anoda 1 yr for my nysc Wch I served at a government company as their system admin. I need your help on how to get this right. It's confusing to me and I don't wat to make a mistake. Sometime PM gets lost in spam, overlooked, unnoticed, unattended I implore that all initial inquiries should be dropped here, because sometimes, the person you sent a PM may not be available. there are lots of capable hands in this organic thread To answer you: Your transcript content and duration of degree is the determinant of whether ACS will awarded you 10 or 15 point. I see you also have limited experience, therefore you cant claim points for that, this is currently a major set back because the game is different (tougher) now 20 points in English is a must. In general, your current profile is leaning towards visa 489 which is equally not gonna be easy without exp point but not impossible.. Do you have a partner? wife/fiancee I will advise you look towards Canada also. |
