Manweysabi: The certificate given me in the institute I did trainings IIHT In your case, this will not fly with ACS as you do not meet the key requirements. You need at least 6 years work experience to write an RPL, however the IIHT certificate can fly with TRA, Or you can look towards canada |

netmycs: @Alphadoor, thank you very much for the insight.
If i get you right, it seems you are suggesting i should nominate 263212 (ICT Support Engineer) as against 263111 due to its competitiveness. I didn't say that. What you choose is totally upto you and what you can defend. |

mostouc: Thanks, bros for your reply. Just to be more clear. are you saying I should apply using B.Sc, then after the assessment, during EOI, I will now include my M.Sc. if that is what u meant, I ask again, will they accept it when it has not gone through the usual assessment? Secondly, which between TRA and ACS which one should I go for. I mean which is likely to give me a more +ve assessment? Cos I have experience in all the mentioned roles below
ICT Customer Support Officer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S))
ICT Support and Test Engineers nec (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Technicians nec ( 190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) TRA ICT Systems Test Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS Systems Administrator (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S) )ACS Yes it will be accepted, however to clear any doubt you can access the msc only with VETASSES, this way you will have a document to backup your claim. TRA OR ACS is upto you last last. I have given my take earlier on ACS I don't have much info on TRA pattern |

mostouc: - Hello guys, I have the following skills and experience
ICT Customer Support Officer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S))
ICT Support and Test Engineers nec (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Technicians nec ( 190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) TRA ICT Systems Test Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS Systems Administrator (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S) )ACS
whatever occupation you choose should align with your current and previous roles and responsibilities and with enough evidence to support all claims
see below the breakdown of my profile and advise
Age = 25 points Education = B.Sc and M.Sc. B.Sc = Computer Science = 2006 - M.Sc = Computer Science = 2014 - 15pts Experience = 10 years = 15 points ( this is likely to drop to 10pts after ACS assessement) English = yet to be taken 20 is the way I understand that if I apply with M.Sc, they will deduct some yrs from my experience(As is assumed you can't work and study at the same time). so based on this, I want to apply with only B.Sc that is you best move, after +ve assesment you will now claim 15points in EOI using your MSC
My Question is: what is the possibility of getting the maximum point (15 ) for education with a 4 years program in computer science (School = UNN)? unfortunately, UNN is a section 2 ,4yrs course = 10points (associate degree), but this is not a problem, as the above will give you 15pts thanks for your response |

[quote author=netmycs post=71025672]Case Scenario 3 Should i use B.Eng plus RPL to be assessed by ACS for 263111 or 263212? Has anyone in the house been given positive assessment through RPL route before?
The above is your best case scenario. 263111 is a very competitve occupation even for 489 , 190
If you can get reference for the whole 10yrs as claimed, ACS will take what they can and you will still have some points to claim.. at least 5 B.ENG will give you 15 points Age is 25 Eng= 20 is a must Likely total is 65
Do you have any certificate from Cisco or Microsoft, this may also help reduce number of years ACS removes |

u3fine: Please house I need clarification here. I'm married with 2 kids. Due to funds is it possible to apply for PR alone and after arriving at Aussie I now bring them in as family. 1. How long before I can bring them? 2. Will they also be a PR immediately they arrive? It's possible to apply alone. Just ensure add your family as non migrating members of your application as the information will help 1. It depends on as soon as you have enough money to sponsor them as that will help when you are applying for them 2. No they won't be permanent residents on arrival as they will first be landing on temporary visas. ogbevireo: ACS is very specific on what certificates they recognise and what level of the AQF they equate to. So check the ACS hand book.
However, you can explore the RPL route. Consider your years of experience on the related job. Then give up some years (6), in place of a degree in ICT and related degrees.
Like I took the RPL route and my degree is in English. So I had to give up 6 years of my experience to get 15 points. I didn't assess my certifications just listed them. Fomskie: Hi guys, I already posted on this thread sometime back. Please, Biko, someone respond to a sister. Will my CISA Certificate qualify for AQF Diploma under ACS? If I need more points for qualification, can I apply to VETASSESS to have my ACA (ICAN) assessed as a degree? Thanks I concur. Also note that CISA is not listed as one of the recognized certifications (based on 2017 ACS guide though) |
