Lagos—Nigeria’s Bonny Light and other crude oil grades have risen from $49 per barrel to over $50 per barrel in the global market following a significant drop in the inventories of United States yesterday.
A survey of the oil markets showed that the price of Brent, usually used to benchmark other crude oil grades rose from $46 to $50.42 per barrel.
It also showed that the prices of WTI and the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC Basket stood at $47.54 and $46.87 per barrel respectively.
According to OPEC, “The price of OPEC basket of thirteen crudes stood at $46.83 a barrel on Tuesday, compared with $46.87 the previous day, according to OPEC Secretariat calculations.


“The OPEC Reference Basket of Crudes (ORB) is made up of the following: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Rabi Light (Gabon), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela),” it stated
The American Petroleum Institute reported a fall in U.S. crude inventories by 5.8 million barrels last week, which was more than the 1.8 million-barrel slide analysts predicted.

Investigations showed that the rise in prices coincide with the making of additional export from Nigeria.
The export was made by LEKOIL, the oil and gas exploration, development and production company with a focus on Africa.
The company disclosed that the first crude cargo produced from the Otakikpo Marginal Field in OML 11 has been lifted from the FSO AilsaCraig by Shell Western Supply and Trading Limited, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell.

According to the company, “120,000 barrels of gross production have been lifted. Under the terms of the Crude Sales Agreement with Shell Trading, the Company is due to receive its payment for this crude within the next month.

“Current production at Otakikpo is approximately 5,000 bopd. With the commencement of regular liftings, the Company is focused on ramping up to production of 10,000 bopd, now expected to be by year-end. Key components to achieve this Phase 1 milestone involve completing the expansion of onsite storage capacity – currently being undertaken with minimal capex required – and utilising a higher capacity shuttle tanker.
“Non-operational days from the minor reconfiguration and optimization of offshore infrastructure has led to average production of approximately 3,000bopd from the four production strings across both wells (Otakikpo-002 and -003)since the start of commercial production, announced on 20 February 2017.”
Lekan Akinyanmi, LEKOIL’s CEO, said: “Selling our first oil marks the commencement of cash flow from Otakikpo. Dollar receipts will increase as we further ramp up production to our Phase 1 target of 10,000 bopd and will contribute to funding Phase 2 expansion.”
“The production and now offtake and export sale from the FSO Ailsa Craig is the culmination of our team’s hard work over the last two years to bring Otakikpo into revenue generating production. I would again like to thank the entire team that has worked so hard on this project, our partner Green Energy, FSO owner and operator Amni, our contractors, our host communities and our government regulators for their continuing support,” he added.

INEC should not repeat what they did in 2015 where they deliberately sent faulty finger print machines to the SE to disenfranchise Igbos. Then falsified voters register with fake names so that the real people were displaced from voting because their names could not be found in the register. then refused to give the voters ID card to the rightful owners when they came to pick it up.

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign state of Biafra, MASSOB, yesterday, alleged that some of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have perfected plans to deny Igbo from getting registered in the ongoing voters registration exercise.

MASSOB made this statement in a release issued to newsmen in Owerri and singed by the National Secretary Comrade Ugwuoke Ibem Ugwuoke.
As stated in the release, “The Movement for the Actualization Of the Sovereign State of Biafra MASSOB raises a gravely concerns over the ongoing voters registration exercise in Igbo land where Ndigbo are being frustrated and disfranchised by the staffs of INEC.
“This tutored activities of INEC officials under the control and directives of Hausa Fulani leaders appointed by President Buhari is one the major reasons why MASSOB may not support the conduction of the general election of 2019 in Biafra land.”
The release went further to explain how MASSOB got to know about the development, “Reports gathered by MASSOB Security Intelligent Agents proofs that INEC has started the processes of rigging and doctoring the incoming elections to favor the interest of Hausa Fulani.
“Last week at Aguata, MASSOB witnessed indiscriminate criminal acts of INEC officials at Aguata registration centre at a remote location in Ekwuluobia.
“MASSOB saw lot of young people hanging around, they were not registering, it was informed that INEC said they can’t register because they were 18yrs at the point of the last registration in 2014 and they did not register.”
MASSOB alleged that the INEC officials said: “they can only register if they can prove that they weren’t around in the last registration exercise by providing a copy of their International Passport.
“After much pressure to know why such condition must be attached for voters registration, the INEC officials insisted that the order is from above and must be followed.
“MASSOB queried what concerns International Passport with voters registration for people Nigeria claimed are their citizens? Is this same INEC system and bottleneck conditions from above working in the Northern region of Nigeria?
“MASSOB sees these bottleneck conditions a smooth way for disfranchising the people of Eastern region in the coming elections which Nigeria thinks will hold.
“MASSOB under the leadership of our leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu insists that there may be no Nigeria that will run a general election in 2019 because the artificial expression called Nigeria is already sitting on a dangerous time bomb that will explode any moment before 2019.
“MASSOB advice the people of Biafra to be more conscious of the reality of Biafra than who becomes Senators, Governors or other political appointment in Nigeria.”

Finding yourself in an environment so overtaken by those who have hearts of stone. Great risked was taken in days past to free the country from external rule. A few decades past, freedom was given to our dear country but was not taken. ''Cluelessness'' overtook us. We were like the prodigal son who has acquired multiplied wealth and riches, lacking management thereof.

We so abandoned our heritage, our beautiful culture of sanity, of wealth creation, of peace without hostility, of morals in good form.
We found ourselves with shovels trying to gather together riches, not for an even distribution, but for personal satisfaction.

Most of those in authority in this country have defiled morality by selling us as slaves in our own country. Because of these, fellow countrymen, our future are marred. Moreover, the future of our dear Spermatova is almost shattered.

To cite an example.
We all know that a gas station cannot be cited in a place close to where people habits. Even the blind knows its definitely not appropriate. And no one approve of such citations except those in authority.

I so found out that a gas station can be cited at a place so inhabited by citizens not even up to 5 metres away. Some authorities found it out and stopped the process but later work again started at the site again.

What happened?

Fellow citizens, our lives are at risk.

We have to disengage this people. Someone asks 'How'. First realize that our problem started with us when we gave these people the mandate to lead and it could end when we remove the mandate from the and relieve them of perpetrating more havoc on us and our unborn future.
