BusinessServices Not Retail Trading Is Key To Surviving The Harsh Economy! by Alphasoar(op): 5:27pm On Jul 27, 2017
Economy is bad, has been the lyrics from the most populous song we have been singing for the past 24 months. The economy really has had its toll on all. It is like the adage about war, in that it is ill wind that blows no one good. Businesses have closed and institutions that cannot bear the heat have parked up.
For every, problem in life I so much believe that there is a fruitful solution to it. It is just a matter of Knowing (Knowledge) and approach (Application).

We have had calls by agencies and pleas from the government for entrepreneurs to take over the economy as that will boost the economy and grow the country's GDP. That is however a fact that cannot be disputed. Entrepreneurship bothers on so many things and becoming one has got a lot of things to consider. As you consider yourself an owner of a business enterprise that either deals with goods merchandise or sell of services, you are already seeing yourself as an entrepreneur.

However, I have the following thoughts and contribution.

Entrepreneurship based on merchandising i.e., goods retailing always collapse with this type of economy. They fade due to the fact the profit from such investment are hardly sufficient to cater for the daily running of the enterprise. The generator has to be fueled, the shop rent has to be paid, the levies have to be paid and the sole proprietor has got some personal things to take care of.

Making little cents and Kobos can help one live but cannot sustain for a very long time.

I think rendering services is the better way to stand all smiles in a recessing economy. Services do not require much capital in the first place, they require knowledge and diligence. Rendering services such as haircuts, car repairs, phone services, online marketing etc offers you the chance to do what you like with your hands or head and gets rewarded handsomely.

A former boss of mine makes roughly N100K after expenses. He has ICT based institution that renders all kinds of ICT related services and he has four employees under his payroll. Another of my boss makes nothing less than N230K a month as an ICT service person. He manages his institution and has two people under him.
In an economy as this where no physical buying and selling is involves, he makes his money constantly and ceases to when he decides not to go to his work place.

People will always need service but will not always need your goods.

Like other professions, finding what you love doing is the key. When you have got the key in your hands, nothing more than to seek for training. Those in the east know more about training as regards trade. They can forgo schooling of four years and seek training on trading for complete seven years and at the end, you find them good at what they do.
Most people prefer to go into merchandise immediately it seems they have gotten some money because they are not willing to endure stress of six months and develop themselves to render effective service to the general public.
They don’t want to be under a boss at all but want to be a boss at the instant. It is good but very risky because what you find yourself doing is different from what you learnt doing.

You don't agree with me? Then share your thoughts with me.

Happy soaring!!!

HealthAnd If Any Man Hunger, Let Him Eat At Home! by Alphasoar(op): 7:44pm On Jul 22, 2017
Howdy all. Hope everyone is having fun, knowing fully well that having fun and being happy is limited to a particular day of the week or month.
Today, we are at the door of our HealthCheck section. To our bachelors and spinsters, this post na for us oh.
Let Soar, shall we . . .

The greatest Apostle of the Bible, in one of his writings, gave us the post topic for today. At the time of writing his text, he was referring to people who come to take the Lord's Supper on empty stomach. He was advising them to eat at home before coming to avoid one or two reactions.
But on another hand, he was advising Us on a serious issue. An issue that concerns the body and soul. For us that are not married, we have one thing in common, Money plus Future. But we totally forget how to get money by taking care of our body.

Breakfast has been termed the best meal you could treat yourself with. And in the bid to get this treat, many people who cannot spend little time in their homes to prepare meals resort to patronizing road side food sellers. Like Paul the Apostle will say 'let him eat at home, it is highly recommended to cook your food yourself.

Hazards abound in taking in food that you don't know the type of environment it was prepared. Was the environment hygienic enough? So many road side food vendors do not take adequate care when preparing food the sell to the general public, so it is done anyhow.
A story of teenager who developed kidney stones and it was discovered he developed the complications as a result of constantly patronizing a woman by the side of his school for food almost on a daily basis.

Today, the main subject is eating at home. Being a bachelor does not entail that you must be buying food everyday from other people whereas you could actually take out some time and prepare yourself a great meal. With my little observations, |I have also found out that eating outside of one’s home could be an addiction. And when it thus comes to this, where it becomes an addiction, the health of the individual is going to be at a great risk.

Basic Tips for Healthy Singles:

1. Have a plan for your day. Your plan should include time to prepare as this will help to checkmate laziness in singles. When you have a plan of how you intend to run your day and discover that one is left undone, you will feel incomplete and restless until you've performed the task.

2. Have food items you could prepare on the go, my friend will always say Noodles+Eggs+Tomatoes+Vegetables should always be handy and I think they are a nice collabo. Though there are other food that could be prepared easily and fast, Oat porridge, omelet, tea, fried yam or potato and egg sauce are some food I think wouldn’t waste much of a time to prepare.

Source
3. Cook in advance. There are times when you could just prepare food in large quantity, especially soup and stew and store them in your freezer. You can always bake Garri or your Semo or Poundo on the go or boil rice or cook yam. With this, going out to look for food won't be necessary at all.

4. You cannot eat at home to avoid lateness, package your food and take it along with you to your workplace. There is no way you will take your food to the office and still want to buy food from road side vendors.

Someone just whispered in my ears and guess what he said, 'I can't cook'. And there she just missed the line. What you don't know, you learn it by doing it. Read this post where I told someone to press Spoil and everything will be alright.

Eat well, Stay healthy.

Howdy all? Who else has been listening to the news lately? Our own dear Lai Mohammed, the Honourable Minister for Information and Culture has received many backlashes following his declaration that Nigerian trying to shoot their movies or music videos abroad will not enjoy a smiling face from the Federal Government.
"We cannot continue to go to South Africa or any other country to produce and then send them back to be consumed in Nigeria" was part of the statements credited to him on the issue.

I think the South Africa issue has got to do with the recently concluded Big Brother Naija that was hosted in South Africa which was supposedly a Nigerian thingy. Oh well, what do I know as regarding the entertainment industry. He has being largely criticized by the Entertainment industry key players.

My main talk today is not about what they are saying but something else I find very interesting and wish to share one or two of my views, still on the entertainment industry.

Some weeks ago, a popular singer released his album with title as mine. That's normal and overdue for his fans. Something caught my attention while browsing on YouTube and finding someone with name as Semah G. Weifur.

He has been a fan of the artist for some time now having in mind to meet him in person someday. it happened that earlier this year, the singer was having a tour in his country, Liberia. As his luck caught a better part of the argument, March 2017 he finally met in person his idol. He performed one of his songs live in the singer’s presence.

May 2017, about two months later he, Semah was in Nigeria to see his music idol. They had good moments. Funny enough, last week of June, the singer released his album and guess who was featured in the last track, Semah G. Weifur.

What am I saying . . .?
1. Semah G. Weifur was a young boy. Not just that, he is blind. No big deal mehn, buh hey wait up, have you ever beaten your challenges to expect the seemingly unimaginable? That the person you have been longing after will find it very much okay to embrace you despite the challenge you got. I don't think the young blind boy turned singer has thought he would meet him in person but now it has become a dream come true.

2. A celeb crowded with activities and fame has time for him? Okay, those celebs you almost worship are also human as you. The least I know, they barely have time to see any fan who wouldn't just get a ticket and come to their shows and sit at the far far end cheering and jeering with other numerous fans.
The singer found it interesting to draw the young boy closer to him. Some celebs will not try that as they feel they are god and must be worshipped.

Professor Johnbull is a song by the singer. It was later made a drama series by Globacom. In one of the numerous episodes, the singer in question made an appearance and after all that took place that day at the Johnbull's house, the singer was answering questions asked by the Maid like, Do you bath yourself? And all that. The answers and revelations made by the singer gave a series of message to her and the entire house of Professor Johnbull.

3. It doesn't always have to be in monetary value, but the little chance you give people to showcase what they have in them. Who knew that Semah had such a wonderful voice until the singer featured him the song.
Use the available resources in your hand and better the lot of someone who you are better off than in any wise. He not only sang with the boy, they did the music video of that song too.

Sometimes I see our youths overdo what they see on TV. What they find celebrities doing in their music videos or on stage, the wears, the styles and language. But unfortunately for them, they copy most of the things that these musicians or entertainers don't practice in real life. Most of them are humble, quiet and easy going but what they portray shows the exact opposite but since they are in the industry and have to entertain a longing crowd, they go out of their skin. They wear an entirely different look.

Nigerian youths should wake up, move out and embrace opportunities.

Happy soaring!!!

BusinessDesigning For The Future by Alphasoar(op): 11:51pm On Jul 17, 2017
Design is the skeletal framework done by a designer that shows an intending structure. Of recent, many areas have inquired and adopted design abilities due to advancement in technology and science. The years are fast revealing many design varieties. We have moved from Pencil on Paper designs to 2D designs and then to 3D and so on.
These varieties of design have in time revealed to designers in different areas the ability to control an installation or a building before it is eventually built.
In this post, I will be focusing on buildings and architectural designs. So let us flow together. Shall we?

Design technologies have made designing buildings and architectural edifice easier. With this, architectural designs, if not properly observed will adversely affect the property owners and the environment in the nearest future due to many facts such as climate change, modifiability and maintenance of such edifices. The future taken into consideration, the following should constitute decision making guidelines.

Space and Location. Designs should not be done with disregard to location. Many architectural designers never know what the site looks like and they still go ahead to bring about a design. The space available to a designer should be in consideration when designing. Location should determine the type of design to produce.

Climate Change. When the location and space available is put into consideration before releasing a design, it will lessen the effect of climate change on user. With the effect of changing Mother Nature, designers need to avoid releasing designs that may not stand the adversely growing climate. Climate change is basically affecting temperature. Designs now should be one that can tackle adverse temperature for areas like the middles east, the northern region of Africa. The ozone depletion has caused the temperature to rise and it is still rising and if design done now cannot contain this adverse effect of nature, it will not be long and man have its effect visible such as skin diseases.

Global Economic Recession. The world right now is battling economy recession and many countries have had or are having it on the high side. Architectural designs done now should be done with economy bloom or otherwise in view.
In this sense, maintenance of a high architectural structure when the exchange rates are lower will not be same as when it is higher. And this will affect property owners. Designers should be able to curtail this effect by seeking joint contribution from actuarial scientists and economists before releasing designs.

These guidelines are borne out of the fact that designers will find it very easy to design architectural properties in the nearest future due to large contribution from technology and design software and if designs are not been monitored, structures that are complicating will be released which might well be built but the future of such edifice will be bleak due to aforementioned facts.

The future of architectural design is very bright and I believe that it will greatly be explosive as we are already witnessing magnificent structures from our designers with 3D softwares such as SketchUp and ChiefArchitect. New magnificent structures are in the making.

Science/TechnologyIdiosyncrasies Of Social Media by Alphasoar(op): 5:56pm On Jul 13, 2017
Social media has gone from communication to confusion. When Daniel in the Bible said, Oh Lord, to us belong confusion of faces" (Daniel 9:cool, I think he was actually referring to this age. The time where what we see in the media is either the adulterated or fake of the original.

I joined Facebook in 2012 (guess so). I never thought it was something used not only for information and message sharing but for show of whatever nonsense one have got (food, cloth, property). Is this the real reason why Facebook was created.

As the days go by, we find that social media channels are becoming funnier and dirtier. It has been a means of many social vices which might not be committed in actually sense.

Respect died many years ago since we can always sit at the back of our mobile devices and use our fingers and insult our elders without nothing happening. This in real sense has made the respect known in Africa to just die. Where elders talk in real life and little kids will never show face, on social media it is entirely a different ball game. Youngsters engage in conversations never meant for them. Social media has degraded decent social interactions.

Living above limits has become the latest. He is got no bicycle, He snaps himself, Photoshop himself into a limousine and uploads it on his social media handle and he gets many likes and shares. He is happy. But for many it does not end there. He seeks for attention from some female folks that will fall for his show of idiosyncrasy and get hooked up. He invites her over for a date and the rest is another story.

Introduction to undercover deceit and scamming has escalated due to rise in social media use. We have seen stories that have emerged due to pretense. People pretending to be what or who they are not and they use that means to defraud or get royalties from gullible never-discerning individuals. A friend told me once of one he met on one of the popular social media channels and they got talking. He proposed to the other person to come over to his place and see him.

He waited and the other person start saying stuff like no transport, he should send some monies over. He met me and sought some information and I did some cross examination on the social media handle of the person in question and told him that the person on the other side of the medium is not real but a scammer that uses another person's pictures to defraud other people.

He though he has met a potential 'wife material' while in real sense as I made him to understand, the other person was never a female but a male. I was able to expose some disparity in the updates the individual was making and some later revelations wee got.

I think it is time social media marketers and other individual who profit from activities of social media to raise an awareness campaign to teach, alert and inform end users of these unsolicited activities by fraudsters. It might get to time where we may never know the real person using each handle. Phone verification is doing fine but it is not enough because one person might have up to three phone number with the different telecommunication service providers. Other means of checkmating and verification should be introduced.

BusinessPlease, Press Spoil! by Alphasoar(op): 8:24pm On Jun 15, 2017
When was the last time you pressed the spoil button? Many people are too afraid, they never attempt new things. It takes only the adventurous minds to press the spoil button. Our Christian friends will not forget in a hurry what the wisest king said in his writings.
In Ecclesiastes, the third chapter and in the first verse he told us that "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven"

I know some people will give me a nod but try to add exceptions. But I beg to disagree on the exceptions you are trying to invent. He said everything and that includes the good, the bad and the ugly.
Why people are not pressing the spoil button is because they don't want to make mistakes or attract serious queries from their superiors.
It is very very unfair to not press the spoil button because, the chances that you will continue to repeat a cycle is there. In other sense, seeing a spoil button means that it must be pressed now or in the nearest future. You will be trying to not make mistakes and by that, you avoid knowing 'how bad it is' to know 'how to make it good'. Inventors are people that that have made mistakes. People that have tried pushing the publicly known 'spoil button' and the not 'so known spoil button'.

Steps to pressing the spoil button effectively:
* Press it in presence of people. Many people want to make mistakes in the hidden corners of their bedroom without the notice of their neighbours. They are not thoughtful. They never know that it might be dangerous to do what you have not done before in the hidden.

* Press it with expectations. Don't go about pressing spoil buttons indiscriminately without any thought that you might encounter sudden unwanted occurrences in the negatives.
Whenever you come closer to pressing the spoil button, expect that something new will happen.

* Be conversant with the environment before attempting the spoil button. You find the off and on button and you want to turn it. Remember whenever you turn it, to go back too and turn it either way again to restore previous order.

Warning: This is an intellectual post that seek to spur you to attempt new things WHILE AVOIDING FEAR. Don't go about vandalizing tangible materials with reference to this post.

Happy Soaring!
