You should pity yourself. You have no brain cells left. You have no control over your own mind.

Iran conducted a Presidential election last year. When was the last time Saudi Arabia conducted an election? Or Kuwait? Or Oman? Or Azerbaijan? These are all US allies. I could go on and list at least 2 dozen countries under dictatorship supported by the US.

The President of Azerbaijan have been in power for 23 years. This is the same country the US signed friendship deal with. America calls them strategic allies. No one accuses these countries of being dictatorships.

The United States and Israel founded and continues to fund ISIS/ISIL, ISWAP and Al Qaeda.

These are terror jihadi groups responsible for the terror attacks in Nigeria till tomorrow. There are plenty of evidence to back this up. US officials and Presidents have admitted that they created this terror groups. The US President Trump hugged and supported a former ISIS leader Al Jolani, the current President of Syria.

You no problem with this. But it is far away Iran that is your headache?

No wonder your ancestors were too easily colonized. You have no mind of your own.
The highly IRRESPONSIBLE Shiite jihadist terror groups led by Iranian funding of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Yemeni Houthies by the Mullahs and second, the Sunni/Wahabbi terror jihadist groups (ISIS, ISWAP, Al-Qaeda, Al-Shaabab, and the notorious JNIM jihadi group currently operating in over half of the landmass of those 3 West African Sahel countries of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger Republic) are a great security risk to mankind including to the security of Russians. Vladimir Putin of Russia and the Chinese government MUST stay away from Iran and other sponsors of jihadi insurgency worldwide. Russia too has been attacked by Islamist terror groups from the Chechen region and other jihadi groups in the past. Period.

Iraq's First Lady Tells U.S: Leave Us Alone, This Is Not Our War (Photos)

As 🇺🇸 Washington and 🇮🇱 Tel Aviv accelerate efforts to recruit the Kurdish for a ground offensive against Iran, Iraq's First Lady Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed issued a sharp public rebuke on Thursday, declaring that Kurds will not serve as disposable proxies for foreign powers.

"Leave us Kurds alone. We are not guns for hire," Ahmed said in a formal press statement released from her office in Sulaymaniyah.

The message amounted to the most prominent public objection from within Iraq's political establishment to the growing international pressure on Kurdish communities to take up arms in a war not of their making.

Ahmed's statement landed on the same day multiple reports confirmed that the CIA is working to arm the Kurdish with the aim of fomenting a popular uprising in Iran, with the Trump administration in active discussions with Iranian opposition groups and Kurdish groups in Iraq about providing military support.

The initiative reportedly originated with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Mossad, with the CIA joining the effort at a later stage.

In her statement, Ahmed invoked the 1991 Kurdish uprising against Saddam Hussein's regime, known as Raparin, which began exactly 35 years ago to the day.

Kurds were urged to revolt, she wrote, "only to be abandoned when priorities changed. No one came to our defense when the regime deployed helicopter gunships and tanks to crush the uprising."

U.S. intelligence assessments have consistently indicated that Iranian Kurds do not currently have the influence or resources to sustain a successful uprising.

Iranian Kurdish parties are also seeking political assurances from the Trump administration before committing to any resistance effort, and some Trump officials involved in the discussions have raised concerns about whether the dynamic could jeopardize a working relationship.

One administration official told CNN that it "may not be as simple as Americans convincing a proxy force to fight on its behalf."

Regional analysts have raised similar alarms. Neil Quilliam of Chatham House told Al Jazeera the plan "feels like a bad move," warning that it was "an afterthought" that reveals the war against Iran "has been poorly thought out."

He added that arming Kurdish groups would be a major concern for Washington's regional partners, most notably Türkiye and Syria, and a headache for Iraq.
Press TV || Türkiye Today
She's LARGELY right about Kurds being abandoned after every insurrection or revolt like the one in Iraq back in 1991 when the Kurds revolted against that dictatorship of Saddam Hussein ONLY to be abandoned with dire punitive consequences from Saddam's henchmen.

However, my greatest joy would be to see a unified country for all ethnic Kurds (under a United States and United Nations supervision) who are historically indigenous to the countries of Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Syria, etc. The balkanization of Kurds into different countries and domains over the centuries is one of the BIGGEST disservice to a group of people in the history of mankind.

Iran has taken out 4 of them, in just a few days.

So, just to set the record straight, Trump has:

➡️ Caused American military bases across the Middle East to go up in smoke

➡️ Further depleted America’s already critically low interceptor missile stockpiles

➡️ Turned the Strait of Hormuz, the world’s most important energy transportation waterway, into a war zone several months before an election

➡️ Put his Arab allies in the direct line of fire in a war that they didn’t ask for

➡️ And what has he achieved in return? Assassinated a 86-year old leader who viewed martyrdom as the ultimate honor?

[quote author=joandavidleonha post=138690087]Nigerian diplomat and former presidential aide, Amb Reno Omokri, has dedicated the first day of his climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro to Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Omokri announced the dedication in a post on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, stating that the opening stage of his climb of Africa’s highest mountain was in honour of the Nigerian leader and the country.

The former presidential spokesperson said the symbolic gesture reflects his appreciation for the President and his commitment to promoting Nigeria on the global stage.

The Kilimanjaro expedition forms part of Omokri’s broader campaign to project a positive image of Nigeria internationally. The author and social commentator has said he intends to hoist the Nigerian flag at the summit of the mountain during the climb, which typically takes several days to complete.

Mount Kilimanjaro, located in Tanzania, stands at 5,895 metres (19,341 feet) above sea level and is the tallest mountain in Africa, attracting thousands of climbers each year.

Omokri, who previously served as a special assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has in recent months expressed strong support for the Tinubu administration. He recently praised the president’s leadership and credited him with helping reshape his understanding of patriotism and national unity.

The climb also comes shortly after Omokri’s diplomatic appointment by the Nigerian government. In March 2026, President Tinubu approved his posting as Nigeria’s ambassador to Mexico, a role in which he pledged to promote Nigeria’s interests and strengthen international partnerships.

Omokri described the Kilimanjaro climb as both a personal challenge and a patriotic act aimed at showcasing Nigeria’s image abroad.

The multi-day expedition is expected to culminate with the raising of the Nigerian flag at the mountain’s famous Uhuru Peak, the highest point on the African continent.

Just to educate those of you who DON'T know these specifics...

Adejoh is an Igala name NOT a core Yoruba name. Though Igala language is 65% mutually intelligible with Yoruba language (65% of words are of Yoruba origin) based on historical and ancestral reasons going back to centuries making Yorubas and Igalas to have some ancestral relations and when Yorubas speak, Igalas LARGELY understand what is being said and vice versa. I have seen many latest videos online (even as of 2026) showing Igalas and Yorubas comparing their shared words and sentences with UNCANNY accuracy further emphasizing that Yorubas and Igalas are ancestrally and historically blood cousins. Igalas ALSO have ancestral ties with the Idomas with the remaining percentage of Igala language words being of Idoma origins.

"Ade" is a prefix used by Igalas as well with a different meaning from the Yoruba meaning which means "CROWN" or someone born into royalty or connected with royalty.

ADEJOH is therefore an Igala-derived name.

Tolulope Arotile: Six Years After, Where Is The Justice? by nairavsdollars(f): 9:09am
Last week, I received a disturbing report alleging that Nehemiah Adejoh — the man accused of driving the vehicle that killed Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot — has fled the country.

Naturally, as a journalist with a knack for investigating reports, I tried to verify the claim. A search through publicly available reports shows that the last major update on the case was in October 2020, when a Kaduna state high court granted Adejoh bail in the sum of N2 million. Since then, there appears to be no sustained media coverage, no official briefing, and no clear public record of how the matter progressed.

I made several attempts to reach the spokesman of the Nigerian Air Force and even sent a formal email requesting an update. To date, there has been no response. And so, the uncomfortable question persists: Where is Nehemiah Adejoh, and what is the update on the trial?
If the allegation that he has left the country is untrue, the authorities should say so clearly. If it is true and he has not been declared wanted, then that silence would be troubling. If, on the other hand, the case is still before the court, Nigerians deserve to know its status.

The absence of information six years after such a high-profile death creates room for speculation — and speculation thrives where transparency is absent.

It bears repeating that the late Tolulope Arotile was not an ordinary officer. She was Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot — a symbol of professional excellence in a country desperate for stories of merit and courage. Before her death in July 2020, media reports were awash with accounts of her role in operations against bandits and armed insurgents in the north. It was gathered that her last mission was part of “Operation Gama Aiki” in Minna, Niger state, where, despite rockets fired in her direction, she reportedly neutralised several bandits.

Then came the shocking news of her death — not in combat, but in what the Nigerian Air Force described as a tragic accident.

In its preliminary report released in June 2020, the Air Force stated: “Upon recognising their schoolmate, Arotile, after passing her, Mr Adejoh, who was driving, reversed the vehicle, ostensibly in an attempt to quickly meet up with the deceased, who was walking in the opposite direction. In the process, the vehicle struck Flying Officer Arotile from the rear, knocking her down with significant force and causing her to hit her head on the pavement. The vehicle then ran over parts of her body as it veered off the road beyond the kerb and onto the pavement, causing her further injuries.”

Her father, Mr Akintunde Arotile, recounted their final conversation in words that still resonate: “Just yesterday, at about 1 pm, I called her because she just came back from an operation against the bandits in Katsina (and) they gave them one week to rest. So, she was sleeping and told me she was in bed resting. She said she will later go out to make some photocopies and I told her not to be long and to return home on time because she was staying with my first daughter in Kaduna.

“Around 5:30 pm, somebody called me and asked if I had called her today and I said ‘yes’. Then the person told me to call her which I did, but no response, so I called her colleagues, and they were all crying on phone. I asked what happened, they were just crying. So, I called one of her bosses who told me that she is in the mortuary and I said, ‘this is somebody I spoke with four hours ago and by 5pm she was in the mortuary’.”
For many Nigerians, the official explanation left unanswered questions. How does one reverse a vehicle “to quickly meet up” with a friend and end up striking her with such force that she is knocked down and run over? Were all relevant forensic and investigative procedures exhaustively carried out? Was due diligence applied?

These questions are not accusations; they are demands for clarity.

At her one-year memorial in May 2021, her father spoke again — this time about the lingering pain of an unresolved judicial process:

“We are trying as a family to put a closure to the whole thing, particularly with the case that is still in court. Up till now, it has not been easy. If the case has been concluded, we will try and see if we can put a closure to that chapter and we will just mourn her till maybe when I and my wife will die. But the case is still on. I don’t even know when the next hearing will be. My wife is so disturbed because of that. It’s like you have an open wound that is not healing. If the case is concluded, our minds will be at rest”.

That metaphor — an open wound that refuses to heal — captures the mood of many who followed the case.

The incident occurred during the Muhammadu Buhari administration. President Bola Tinubu is almost concluding his four-year term. It would not be unreasonable to expect that the office of the commander-in-chief should be interested in ensuring that the death of a decorated officer receives a transparent judicial closure. Justice delayed, especially in a matter of national symbolism, gradually erodes public trust.

This is not about political point-scoring. It is about institutional memory and respect for service. When a country fails to bring clarity to the death of one of its finest officers, it sends a quiet but powerful message about how it values sacrifice.

Civil society groups and the legal community also have a role to play. High-profile cases should not simply fade from public consciousness because news cycles have moved on.

The broader concern is generational. If a young officer who broke barriers and served in active combat can die under controversial circumstances and her case disappears into bureaucratic silence, what hope does the average Nigerian youth have for accountability in less visible situations?

In all of this, I pity Nigerian youths. If this can happen to Tolulope Arotile, Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, and the government treats it with levity, what then is the fate of the average Nigerian youth on the streets? Rather than being focused, asking questions and demanding good governance, many youths busy themselves with inanities and get distracted by paid elements who are drinking Hypo on social media and dying “hypothetically”.

As a friend of mine said, many youths in Nigeria have not even been to the airport, let alone board a flight. Many have not travelled to neighbouring countries in Africa, not to mention developed countries such as the UK, the US, France or Canada. If they were privileged to spend just two weeks in these countries and see steady electricity, good roads, improved healthcare, security and other good things of life, they would return to Nigeria in anger. Rather than labouring in the scorching sun campaigning for politicians whose children are schooling and living abroad, they will stone them like former Ministers, Rotimi Amaechi and late Tony Momoh said.

Nigeria owes Tolulope Arotile more than ceremonial tributes and memorial hashtags. It owes her parents closure. It owes its armed forces reassurance that service and sacrifice matter. And it owes the public transparency.

So again, the question is simple: What is the status of the case? And where is Nehemiah Adejoh? Silence, at this point, is no longer acceptable.

https://www.thecable.ng/tolulope-arotile-six-years-after-where-is-the-justice/
Nehemiah Adejoh was indeed Tolulope Arotile's former class mate as widely reported back then in the media, and should have been serving some jail terms right NOW as a warning for improper driving and for the death of Nigeria's FIRST EVER Nigerian Air Force Combat Helicopter pilot. Tolulope Arotile is Yoruba while Nehemiah Adejoh is Igala and both of them are from the same Kogi State and Adejoh being of the same religious persuasion with Tolu couldn't have been hired to kill her as the conspiracy theories flying around would have us believe.

I believe it was indeed a "freak car accident" within the Air Force Base while he was reversing his car in excitement and that car knocked Tolu out (her father is ALSO a professional pilot, hence with her fantastic mathematics and science knowledge, she also gravitated towards being a combat pilot). BUT Adejoh still needs to be punished for his driving error (freak accident or not). We shouldn't be hearing that he has escaped at this point in time.

The Nigerian legal system MUST ensure that this case is brought to an end as soon as possible to give Tolulope Arotile's family full closure and save Nigerians from this relentlessly slow legal system. It's very CLEAR now that Nigeria has to get the courts fully digitized, computerized and hire more judges. Video conferencing is allowed in judging cases NOW. Adopt these newer technologies to clear the backlog of cases and set any innocent people or "awaiting trials" free. Period.

Truthday:
Three U.S. service members have been killed and another five have been seriously wounded, in the first casualties of the unfolding U.S. operations against Iran, the U.S. military said on Sunday.

The casualties were announced on the second day of strikes by the U.S. and Israel against Iran, which have plunged the Middle East into a new, unpredictable conflict that has already led to the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The U.S. military's Central Command said in a statement on Sunday that U.S. troops suffered additional, less serious injuries as well.

"Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions - and are in the process of being returned to duty. Major combat operations continue and our response effort is ongoing," Central Command said in a statement on X.

It declined to offer specifics of how the U.S. forces were killed and wounded, but Iran's Revolutionary Guards have launched blistering rounds of drones and missiles at targets throughout the Middle East.

On Sunday morning, Iran said it had launched an attack on the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier with four ballistic missiles, state media reported. Central Command said the ship was not hit and that Iran's missiles didn't come close.

The U.S. deaths are the first combat-related fatalities suffered by the U.S. military in major operations ordered by President Donald Trump since he returned to office last year. The U.S. bombing of Iran's nuclear sites last June and the U.S. military's seizure of Venezuela's president in January led to no U.S. fatalities.

Trump had warned on Saturday that there could be U.S. casualties. "My administration has taken every possible step to minimize the risk to U.S. personnel in the region," he said.

"Even so, and I do not make this statement lightly, the Iranian regime seeks to kill. The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost, and we may have casualties. That often happens in war," Trump added.

While American soldiers were dying, Trump was partying in Mar a Lago. But this is not the pressing issue now.
The US and Israel have a finite number of interceptors for the patriot air defence system. They are running out. The US needs to take out all Iranian ballistic missile launch platforms before the patriots runs out of interceptors. Iran has thousands of ballistic missiles. What they don't have an abundance of is launch platforms.

The US conducted over 900 bombing runs today and more are scheduled through the night. Iran has adopted a use it or lose it policy so it will fire off as many ballistic missiles as it can. But that comes at a huge risk. US and Israeli satellites positioned above can quickly calculate the flight trajectory of the ballistic missiles Iran fired and quickly pinpoint where it was fired from. Centcom analyses this information and sends fighter jets or missiles to take out the ballistic missile launch platforms. It shouldn't be an issue for the US for now.

Brent crude jumped 10% to about $80 a barrel over the counter on Sunday, oil traders said, while analysts predicted that prices could climb as high as $100 after U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran plunged the Middle East into a new war.

The global oil benchmark has rallied this year and reached $73 a barrel on Friday for its highest since July, buoyed by growing concern over the potential attacks that arrived a day later. Futures trading is closed over the weekend.

"While the military attacks are themselves supportive for oil prices, the key factor here is the closing of the Strait of Hormuz," said Ajay Parmar, director of energy and refining at ICIS.

Most tanker owners, oil majors and trading houses have suspended crude oil, fuel and liquefied natural gas shipments via the Strait of Hormuz, trade sources said, after Tehran warned ships against moving through the waterway. More than 20% of global oil is moved through the Strait of Hormuz.

"We expect prices to open (after the weekend) much closer to $100 a barrel and perhaps exceed that level if we see a prolonged outage of the Strait," Parmar said.

Middle East leaders have warned Washington that a war on Iran could lead to oil prices jumping to more than $100 a barrel, said RBC analyst Helima Croft. Rabobank analysts slightly less bullish, seeing prices holding above $90 a barrel in the near term.

The OPEC+ group of oil producers agreed on Sunday to raise output by 206,000 barrels per day (bpd) from April, a modest increase representing less than 0.2% of global demand.

While some alternate infrastructure could be used to bypass the Strait of Hormuz, the net impact from its closure would be a loss of 8 million to 10 million bpd of crude oil supply even after diverting some flows through Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline and Abu Dhabi’s pipeline, said Rystad energy economist Jorge Leon.

Rystad expects prices to rise by $20 to about $92 a barrel when trade opens.

The Iran crisis also prompted Asian governments and refiners to assess oil stockpiles and alternative shipping routes and supplies. Kpler analysts said in a webinar on Sunday that India might turn to Russian oil to make up for potential Middle East supply loss.

Indeed, this was long predicted and it's the normal cycle of things in times of war.

Those with the knowledge made good money off of the ongoing global geopolitical trends.

I very must have lost consciousness, getting out a hot bath so quick. Must have fell in slow motion because head was very ok. Silly really, since I felt it coming like last time I passed out. But before I could do anything I found myself on my back staring at the ceiling.

I'm lucky I didn't end up with the laptop in the bath. And that reliance on luck for the continuance of my existence is why the word stup¹d applies to me. It's also why I'm making it known here on Nairaland so I can't lie that I wasn't stup¹d, again, since it's the stupidest thing I've done since I more stup¹dly swam in toxic water a decade ago.

Bath water temp is going down for sure. And I should consider going back to just reading a book and listening to music in fact, and swim more.
I appreciate you for sharing your hot bath experience in 2025 as I've learned a lot from it.

Despite the global geopolitical events going on in Iran (with the major joint military operations involving the United States and Israel) code named: "Operation Epic Fury," I had do some more research about this loss of consciousness after some hot baths yesterday right into today. I recall reading over 10 years ago that Saunas too can lead to loss of consciousness BUT it just didn't occur to me that following some bathroom protocols while having a hot bath can be devastating as well. Now it makes SENSE!

I read that the ideal hot bath temperature MUST not go over 40°c and the bath shouldn't last for more than 15 minutes to be on the safe side especially during winter.

I hope more folks learn about this medical situation as well. Hot baths can indeed go south if the right sequence of events aren't followed. Indeed, a hot water bath can make you lose consciousness. This is primarily caused by heat syncope or, in severe cases, heat stroke, which results from the body's response to excessive heat.

"Causes of Losing Consciousness"

Blood Vessel Dilation: Hot water causes your blood vessels to widen (vasodilation) as the body attempts to cool itself. This causes blood to pool in the lower body and skin, which lowers overall blood pressure.

Insufficient Blood Supply to the Brain: When blood pressure drops, the heart rate increases to compensate, but if it CANNOT maintain adequate blood flow to the brain, you may feel dizzy, lightheaded, and eventually faint (syncope).

Standing Up Suddenly: The risk is highest when you stand up to exit the bath, as gravity then causes more blood to pool in your legs, leading to a more significant drop in blood pressure.

Heat Stroke: Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can raise your core body temperature to dangerous levels, a medical emergency known as heat stroke. This can cause confusion, disorientation, and loss of consciousness.

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning: In poorly ventilated bathrooms with gas-powered water heaters (geysers), carbon monoxide (CO) can build up. This odorless, invisible gas can lead to dizziness, unconsciousness, and even death.

I do indeed need to become a bit paranoid as I'm not paranoid at all. I'm not too reckless often, being a cautious risk calculater, but this one did creep up on me.

Now I look back, it's like when I put mobile down after a call once and roller bladed away. Hours later was I like, where is my phone!

That phone was a brick and not cheap in 1996. But I wanted an upgrade I couldn't justify, so I stup¹dly abandoned my phone on a bench in Hyde Park so I can go get a new one.

I like PcSpecialist because you can choose specs to suit need and purse, and the solid 3-year warranty. I've Return Merchandise Authorized (RMA) twice, and just the savings on labour made it worthy. The service itself was outstanding and felt like money back.

Annoying I'm lapsed on home content because I'm often careful and minimalised. Must look into now my new machine is on the way.
Could that be a brick shaped "Thuraya-like" satellite phone you are referencing as of that 1996 Hyde Park event? On the other hand, forgetting things annoyingly comes with the natural ageing process due to the brain stem cells NOT getting replenished to keep up with the loses. Whenever I plan to go out the NEXT day, I usually get my clothes, matching belts, stocking shoes, documents and to-do list(s) ready so that I don't forget or leave anything behind.

I also delegate things by using the "80/20 percent Principle" or the "Pareto Principle" to get things done faster. It's based off of the FACT that 20 percent of the MOST difficult things on your to-do list on a daily basis WILL give you 80 percent of your daily results. It's a mad cool principle tbh.

Second, that solid 3-year warranty on the Pcspecialist model is priceless. One of the best warranties out there.

It is high time the management of global security stop being a US only affair. It is after all a thankless job. Let the whole UN or at least the UNSC take up Iran and any invasion should be sponsored by them and not by the US taxpayer. The US can't even afford an invasion presently. The problem of the proliferation of nukes needs to be tackled once and for all because we are all at risk
Succinctly stated!

Donald Trump himself reeled out the mass atrocities (kidnappings and killings) against the United States since 1979 by the Shiite Iranian mullahs and their terror affiliates in Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, Shiite of Syria, and Shiites of Iraq, etc, so, there's NO way that American tax payers will NOT get involved. It's for the good of all.

Global security against these terror gangs with Salafist Islamic religious affiliations MUST be a joint effort. The idea of fighting this war on terror piecemeal is unacceptable. The United States has been bombing Al-Shaabab positions nearly every year, yet NO SOLUTION. The world must jointly decide to bring peace to the world by striking all terror locations on Earth and these would come at a cost to tax payers.

Major offensives on the deadliest jihadi terror group called JNIM in the West African countries of Mali, Niger Republic, Burkina Faso, the foreign Fula militia bandits and BH in Nigeria, and Northern Cameroon MUST be totally eliminated in joint operations with the United States. Miners in commercial mining fields and farmers on subsistence and commercial scales in some country-locations CANNOT go to their farms due to banditry thereby slowing the growth of several economies. Enough is enough!

President Donald Trump says potential new leadership in Iran has contacted the U.S. and said they want to speak with the president, a senior White House official told Fox News on Sunday.

Trump indicated that he does plan to talk with replacement Iranian leadership soon, but the White House says Operation Epic Fury is continuing nonetheless.

"President Trump said new potential leadership in Iran has indicated they want to talk and eventually he will talk. For now, Operation Epic Fury continues unabated," the official said.

Fox News' Trey Yingst contributed to this report.
The former Shah of Iran's son based in the United States or who? Caution required here though.
