Whalis: It all boils down to the eradication of Islam.
The complete "Eradication of RADICAL Islam." RADICAL Islam is the key phrase because there are Islamic groups like Ahmadiyah that are peaceful.Radical Islam is the WORSE form of ideology ever in human history which uses fear and mind-control to manipulate adherents... Which is far WORSE than Nazi German ideology.
PMForce: The "Madness" of the Allegation: Why Iran Sponsoring ISIS Defies Logic, History, and Faith
There is a narrative floating around in certain political and media circles that is so absurd, so detached from reality, that it requires a specific kind of willful ignorance to believe it. It is the allegation that Shia-majority Iran is somehow a sponsor of Sunni extremist groups like ISIS (Daesh).
As someone who understands the very basics of Islam, the kind of knowledge a two-year-old Muslim child absorbs by simply being in a family that prays, I can tell you that this claim is not just wrong; it is madness. It is an insult to logic, a distortion of history, and a complete erasure of the theological fault lines that have defined the Middle East for centuries.
To put it plainly: it is not possible in common sense that a Shia theocracy would sponsor a group that considers Shia Muslims apostates and proudly claims responsibility for bombing their mosques and killing their families.
When people make this allegation, they are speaking from a place of sheer and absolute ignorance. Their brains have shut down, replaced by a fanatical need to demonize. They "eat Muslims," as we say, finding any allegation, no matter how contradictory, to abuse and slander. This is not analysis; it is bigotry dressed up as geopolitics. So, let's try to wake up those dead brains with a dose of reality.
The Daesh Divide: A Matter of Life and Death
You don't need to be a scholar to understand the schism between Sunni and Shia Islam. The core historical disagreement is about the succession of leadership after the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This isn't a minor theological quibble; it is a profound identity marker.
Now, look at the groups in question. Look at Al-Qaeda. Look at ISIS (Daesh). These are puritanical, ultra-fundamentalist Sunni groups. Their ideology is not just anti-Western; it is virulently, murderously anti-Shia. They believe Shia Muslims are heretics. They have bombed Shia mosques, shrines, and marketplaces from Baghdad to Kabul. They have slaughtered Shia pilgrims. They celebrate it. It is a core tenet of their existence .
To suggest that Iran—the self-proclaimed protector of Shia Islam, the country whose leaders constantly speak of defending the shrines and the honor of the Ahl al-Bayt (the Prophet's family)—would fund the people who curse that family and kill its followers is simply insane. It would be like asking the Vatican to secretly fund a group of atheists who want to burn down every Catholic church in the world. It defies every law of self-preservation and logic.
Iran on the Frontlines: The Nightmare of ISIS
The ultimate proof of this absurdity is not just theoretical—it is written in the blood of Iranian soldiers. When ISIS swept through Iraq and Syria, who was actually on the ground fighting them? Who was shedding blood to stop their advance?
It was Iran.
General Qasem Soleimani, the commander of Iran's Quds Force, became a living legend in the fight against ISIS. He was on the frontlines in Iraq, strategizing with Iraqi forces and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) to push back the terrorist tide. An Iranian major general explicitly stated that once ISIS started its terror acts in Iraq, no country except Iran helped Iraqis in the destruction of the group . The entire world, including the US president at the time, was reportedly flabbergasted by Iran's decisive move, even though he was later killed by anothet USA president (Trump) .
Iranian military advisors were embedded with Syrian government forces, helping them reclaim territory from ISIS and other terrorist factions . The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) even launched missile strikes on ISIS positions in Syria, sending a strong message to the world about their commitment to eradicating this menace . Iran's defense minister made it clear: not only regional people, but people around the world are indebted to the fight carried out against terrorists in Syria .
Iran did not just talk about fighting terrorism; they fought and died fighting it. The Iranian people know this. The families who lost sons in the battle against ISIS know this.
The Strange Case of Israel and ISIS
Now, contrast that with the behavior of the very actors who love to point fingers at Iran. When you look at the actions of the United States' "greatest ally against terrorism," a very different, much darker picture emerges .
It has been widely reported across credible platforms that Israel has supported the very groups Iran was fighting. In the spring of 2015, journalists at the Wall Street Journal revealed that Israel had been treating wounded al-Qaeda and al-Nusra fighters—an ISIS affiliate—in Israeli hospitals . This wasn't just charity; it was a strategic alliance. Reports indicate that Israel provided funding, weapons, and logistics to these groups, going so far as to pay the salaries of terrorist commanders . One commander from the Knights of the Golan group admitted, "Israel stood by our side in a heroic way. We wouldn't have survived without Israel's assistance" .
But the support didn't stop at medical aid. During the height of the ISIS caliphate, Israel reportedly became one of the largest buyers of oil from ISIS's captured wells, purchasing billions of dollars' worth of stolen oil through a network of brokers . Think about that. While Iranians were dying to extinguish the flame of ISIS, Israel was buying fuel to keep it burning.
This relationship was so open that in 2016, a senior Israeli foreign policy analyst published a white paper titled "The Destruction of Islamic State is a Strategic Mistake," arguing that a weak but functioning ISIS was actually in the West's interest because it would hamper Iran's influence . Former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon even revealed that after a rare clash in the Golan Heights, an ISIS-linked group actually apologized to the IDF . In the entire history of ISIS, it attacked Israel only once, and then immediately apologized . Compare that to the thousands of attacks they launched against Shia Muslims.
More recently, Israeli journalists have revealed that the Netanyahu government has been funding and arming the Hamasha Clan, a pro-ISIS drug gang operating in the region. When confronted about supporting an ISIS-linked group, Netanyahu reportedly responded, "What's wrong with that?" . That one question tells you everything you need to know.
The Real Allies: Politics of Resistance, Not Theology of Hate
When critics conflate all Iranian allies into one monolithic blob of "terrorism," they ignore a crucial distinction. Yes, Iran supports groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis. But these are not ideological soulmates in the way that ISIS is. These are political groups, born from specific historical circumstances: occupation and aggression.
· Hezbollah: This group was not founded in the 7th century to fight a theological war. It was founded in the 1980s because Israel invaded Lebanon and, unprovoked, laid siege to its capital, Beirut. Not only did they take the city, but the alliance that enabled this included Western powers like the US and France. Hezbollah emerged as a resistance force to expel an occupying army. Their fight is fundamentally about sovereignty.
· Hamas: Love them or hate them, Hamas is a Palestinian political faction fighting against an occupation that has lasted for decades. They are a Sunni group, but their alliance with Iran is geopolitical, not theological. It is based on the principle of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"—a shared opposition to Israeli expansion. They have never attacked outside the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
· The Houthis: In Yemen, the Houthis (Ansar Allah) emerged as a movement against a corrupt, US-backed regime and later against a devastating Saudi-led military coalition that bombed their country into a humanitarian catastrophe.
These are not groups dedicated to a global caliphate or to wiping out Shiaism. They are nationalist and anti-imperialist movements, by and large. Their support from Iran is strategic, part of a "Resistance Axis" against US and Israeli hegemony in the region.
Waking Up the Dead Brain
The allegation that Iran backs ISIS serves a singular purpose: to muddy the waters. It is a tool used by those who want to paint all resistance to Western hegemony as a single, evil, terrorist blob. It allows propagandists to say, "Look, they are all the same," when in reality, the people of ISIS would gladly kill the people of Hezbollah and vice versa.
The facts are simple. Iran fought ISIS on the ground. Iran lost soldiers to ISIS. Iran spent billions to destroy ISIS. Meanwhile, Israel treated ISIS fighters in their hospitals, bought their oil, and publicly argued that destroying them would be a "strategic mistake."
So, to those who repeat this nonsense: Do better. Read a history book. Understand the basics of a faith that 1.8 billion people follow. Recognize that Iran and ISIS are not just enemies; they are existential threats to one another's existence. The only thing more dangerous than a fanatic with a gun is a fanatic with a microphone who is too ignorant to know the difference.
Ignorance is not bliss o. Oil money is not just money. The dying world reserve currency, US dollars, is pegged against oil. Oil proceeds is the biggest source of fund for US debt and stock market. It goes down, US will likely default in it's debt of around $34 trillion and the US economy SHALL collapse, dragging down into severe economic most nations that have not decoupled from the US economy and holding huge US bonds.
Iranians are not stupid. In fact, they have proven to be way smarter than the Americans. This was why Trump's own generals initially counselled him against going to war with Iran but he want to use Iran's war to save himself from being impeached and going to jail.
It is this your kind of obscene ignorance and lack of humility to learn that Trump displayed and now putting human civilization in real jeopardy
"Why Saudi Arabia Is IMPORTING Record Amounts Of Oil"
Saudi Arabia is known for having one of the largest oil reserves in the entire world and making hundreds of billions every single year from their oil. Considering this, you would think that the country would never have to import oil, but over the past several months, Saudi Arabia has actually been importing record amounts of oil. Historically, one of the reasons Saudi Arabia has imported oil is to make up for discrepancies in the type of oil. You see, the vast majority of oil available in Saudi Arabia is light crude sour oil. So, it sometimes makes sense to import heavy crude sour and sweet oil. Aside from making up for internal discrepancies, Saudi Arabia also likes to make up for production discrepancies using imported oil. Saudi Arabia prides themselves on always delivering what they promised regardless of the situation.
Even when they fall short due to a legitimate reason, they’ll usually import oil to make up for the shortfall. Finally, the last major reason Saudi Arabia has been importing oil is to leverage cheap Russian oil. The sanctions have left Russian oil selling for a discount while Middle Eastern oil has skyrocketed in price. So, it makes sense to save the Middle Eastern oil for western countries while Saudi Arabia themselves use cheaper Russian oil. This video explains the many reasons Saudi Arabia has imported oil over the years despite their ginormous oil reserves.
FreeStuffsNG: Breaking News: Oil Prices Surge Past $100 as Iran Names New Supreme Leader
By Josh Owens - Mar 08, 2026,
Oil prices surged in early Asian trading on Monday, breaking above $100 per barrel for the first time in nearly four years as the Iran conflict escalated and Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei was chosen as supreme leader.
At the time of writing, WTI crude was trading at $108.66, up $17.76 or 19.54%, while Brent crude was at $108.69, up $16.00 or 17.26%.
The rally follows a dramatic escalation in the conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel over the weekend, with attacks on energy infrastructure and military targets across the region heightening fears that oil flows from the Middle East could be disrupted for weeks.
Israel struck major fuel storage facilities near Tehran, while Iran continued launching drone and missile attacks across the region. A drone strike damaged a desalination plant in Bahrain, a missile barrage injured five people in central Israel, and a seventh U.S. service member died following an Iranian counterattack in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Assembly of Experts named Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as the country’s new supreme leader early on Monday. The appointment signals continuity in Iran’s hardline leadership, undermining the efforts of both the U.S. and Israel to alter the regime.
Beyond oil prices, financial markets also suffered, with S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq-100 futures both falling by close to 1.6% as investors reacted to the surge in energy prices and geopolitical risk.
Fears of prolonged supply disruptions, including potential attacks on regional energy infrastructure and tanker traffic, are now being priced in to markets. Energy traders are closely watching whether the conflict will affect production or exports from major Gulf producers.
The surge in crude prices has also strengthened the U.S. dollar and raised fears of an energy-driven inflation shock, particularly for major oil-importing economies.
Investor jitters deepen in Asia as war sends fuel prices skyrocketing
Asian markets sank on Monday as investor jitters deepened over the ongoing war in the Middle East, which sent oil prices to a four-year high and threatened import-dependent major economies in the region.
Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 index tumbled 7% in the early hours of trading on Monday, while South Korea’s Kospi plummeted 7.8%. Taiwan’s Taiex slumped 5.8%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index slid 3.1%.
South Korea's Kospi index, which has been hit especially hard since the conflict began, slipped by more than 8%, triggering a 20-minute halt to trading.
The so-called circuit breaker is a mechanism designed to curb panic selling. It also came into effect on Wednesday, when the Kospi slumped by 12%.
About a fifth of the world's oil supply is usually shipped through the Strait of Hormuz. But traffic through the narrow passage has all but halted since the war started a week ago.
Indeed, the international crude oil price is currently $110. It's climbing higher and this would heat up the global economy leading to more hyperinflation. It's hoped that by the first week of April 2026, the situation would have deescalated.
There's still a lot of military mopping up of the vestiges of the Shiite Iranian regime to be done. A section of the Kurdish fighters are also gearing up to move right into Iran.
Whalis: There is no cancer requiring the highest level of chemotherapy like Islam and those who follow Islamic doctrine. After Iran passes through this Ultra high frequency chemotherapeutic exposure the world will experience normalcy in the order it was before the formation of Islam. Attacking Iran is cutting off sources of funds for Islamic terrorisms.
The world will NOT experience normalcy yet because there are major radical Muslim sects in Islam with the Sunnis and the Shiites being the top two. The Sunnis are further divided into the Wahabbi sect which is the STRICTEST of the Sunni group because they give strict interpretations to the Koran and Haddith.
The Al-Qaeda group and it's affiliates around the world such as the JNIM jihadi group currently operating in over half of the landmass of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger Republic, and Al-Shaabab of Somalia for instance are all Wahabbi offshoots. This is why so-called moderate Muslims are NOT recognized and are seen as infidels.
NO doubt, the United States and Israel vs. Iran War would cut off a major source of funding for the Shiite jihadists around the world coming from the now dead Ayatollah Khamenei and his group, BUT as we speak, the radical Shiites already have terror cells around the world and can still strike in Kamikaze fashion by hijackings and suicide bombings.
The Sunni Wahabbi terror jihadists too are getting funding from their fellow Muslims through zakat donations, annual funding for protection through the Arab Gulf states who do NOT want to be bombed, the jihadists also get finding from the proceeds of crimes such as kidnappings, hard drugs trafficking, etc. To these terrorists, getting funds from crimes to fund their jihadi activities is part of fighting for their "God" and religion.
Until the global Sunni Wahabbi jihadi terror groups are dealt with totally, the current war by the United States and Israel on the Shiite jihadists of Iran and their affiliates in Gaza led by Hamas, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthies in Yemen, the Shiites in Syria, Iraq, Northern Nigeria, etc, will NOT be enough.
SixSeven: Nigeria has a non alignment policy. This means if tomorrow Iran should attack Israel, Nigeria will be against it. This is why VP Shettima spoke against Israel at the UN. Many don't know their country and I blame the government for this mass ignorance by her citizens.
Nigeria has maintained a policy of non-alignment since its independence in 1960, officially joining the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in 1964. As an influential African nation, Nigeria historically adopted this stance to avoid Cold War power blocks, favoring sovereignty, anti-colonialism, and African unity.
Key aspects of Nigeria and the Non-Aligned Movement include: 1. Historical Approach (1960–1983): Nigeria's non-alignment was initially a "policy of self-restraint," which fluctuated between a pro-Western stance and a truer neutral posture during different regimes.
2. Foreign Policy Foundation: Non-alignment acts as a "third pole" or alternative for developing nations, supporting the fight against neo-colonialism and promoting economic development.
3. Modern Relevance (2024–2025): Nigeria continues to utilize NAM to champion the Global South's interests, demanding equitable access to capital for developing nations rather than simply seeking aid.
4. Strategic Position: As of 2025, Nigeria is seen as a key player in promoting a new, non-aligned approach to resisting economic and technological dependency in a fragmented, transactional, non-bipolar global order.
Historically, Nigeria's implementation of non-alignment has been described as a way to diversify dependence to achieve economic and political goals, rather than strict isolationism.
5. Non-alignment and Nigeria's foreign policy,1960-1979: A historical perspective. When Nigeria gained independence in 1960, it adopted a policy of not aligning with any power bloc. This policy was deliberately vague and confusing.
Non aligned movement: where countries take no sides - BBC Africa
Heads of state and government from across the globe gathered this week in Uganda’s capital Kampala for the 19th summit of a group of countries created at the height of the Cold War, but which remains active till this day.
The Non-Aligned Movement has over 100 member states representing over half the world’s population. But just how relevant today is this group of nations formed over 60 years ago?

TimeManager: Basic macroeconomics, CBN is duty bound to mop up excess liquidity in the system to avoid driving up inflation in the long term. Whenever there's too much local or foreign currency in the hands of people beyond regulatory requirements, the CBN steps in. Failure to do that in the past led us to where we were a few years ago. If CBN had looked away, the dollar would fall for the first few weeks and then start rising because people would have horded it and look to sell at higher rate when scarcity hits the market thereby leading to market instability. The best bet is to allow the right amount of money within the system at a particular time inorder to ensure stability and stronger local currency.
-Kiss the truth!
Succinctly stated.
There are way too many highly uninformed posters who lack the basic knowledge of finance and economics spewing out so much trash with confidence on this Website.
Alasheyori: #YorubaHistory #IslamInNigeria #NigerianPolitics Before the Sokoto Caliphate existed, Yoruba Muslims were already scholars, traders, and community leaders. The documented arrival of Islam in Yorubaland dates to approximately 1000–1100 CE — over 700 years before Usman Dan Fodio launched his 1804 Jihad from Gobir. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S86PNmxWxOs
So why does the Sultan of Sokoto function as the de facto voice of Nigerian Islam — including for Yoruba Muslims his predecessors never governed?
In this video, we trace how colonial administration, military-era politics, and federal institutional design created a religious hierarchy that history does not actually support. This is not an attack on any individual. This is a structural analysis — and the implications for Southwest Nigeria's political and economic future are significant.
Indeed, historically, the FIRST EVER mosque in Yorubaland was built over 500 years ago in Iwo (now in Osun State) during the powerful years of the Oyo Empire.
Even the Kanuri people and their Kanembu cousins in Chad have practiced Islam for over 1000 years with Islam getting to Hausaland within the last 1000 years. This is why when the Kanuris were attacked by the foreign Fulas in the 1804 invasion, the traditional ruler of the Kanuris wrote a strongly-worded letter to Uthman Danfodio challenging his claims of bringing pure Islam to the Kanuris which is a historical LIE!
The Kanuri leader strongly emphasized to Uthman in his letter written in Arabic that the Kanuris have practiced Islam for 1000 years. The so-called 1804 Fula invasion by the Niger Republic-born Fula called Danfodio and his minions was for the slave raiding of people and land grabbing purposes NOT to spread Islam.
The influence of the minority Fula in Northern Nigeria over majority indigenous people of Nigeria is largely a British Colonial era and Military-era creation.
Why Iran Freed ONLY Black Hostages in 1979 | Iran Hostage Crisis
The 1979 Iran hostage crisis remains one of the most misunderstood chapters in American history, specifically regarding why Iran released black hostages while keeping others captive for 444 days. This deep dive into Ayatollah Khomeini's decision on the hostage crisis explores the complex intersection of global politics, racial oppression, and the strategic solidarity used by Iranian leaders to challenge the US power structure. When the US embassy in Tehran was seized in November 1979, the world watched in shock as the situation unfolded.
However, a significant turning point occurred just two weeks into the crisis when the Iranian leadership ordered the immediate release of 13 individuals. These hostages were specifically women and black Americans, a move justified by the Iranian government as a recognition of their status as oppressed minorities within the United States.
The Iranian revolution leaders argued that African Americans were not responsible for the policies of the American government and were already facing systemic struggles at home. This analysis examines the primary sources and historical context of that era, highlighting how foreign nations often perceive the internal social dynamics of America more clearly than those living within it.
HacheNoire: I like your sincerity unlike some lots who always accuse China of copying.
It is what it is.
The Chinese have copied and modified prominent European car brands and because of the huge Chinese market, the original vehicle manufacturers had to strike deals with China. Without copying and modifying products, the high-end Chinese commercial and military products in existence as of today will NOT be in existence.
The Chinese have been known to even deliver huge construction projects (such as regional railway lines and dams as far back as the 1960s and gaining momentum in the 1970s in Africa and the rest of the world) at cheaper costs than the construction companies from the Western world who jerk up the costs due to over reliance on heavy construction hardware.
For this and more, I've always seen the benefits of China in Africa and Latin America for decades now.
HacheNoire: Hope it also applies to China and not one way?
Meaning the US should also be happy that China copies and improves her tech.
Anybody can copy or steal the technologies belonging to others if you are opportuned to do so. That's the way it's been for centuries.
The Shahed drone which the United States copied and modified was originally GOT from the Ukraine War. The drone was shot down right on Ukrainian soil so that's how the Americans got hold of the drone technology.
Iran should be happy that the United States deemed it fit to copy their captured Shahed BUT they'll be mad at the same time that their drone technology has been declassified by the Americans.
PilotPhotog Podcast For decades, the U.S. military relied on invincible, billion-dollar platforms to win wars. But recent global conflicts have exposed a terrifying new math: shooting down a cheap, $35,000 drone with a $2 million missile is a losing strategy. Enter *LUCAS* (Low-Cost Uncrewed Combat Attack System)—the Pentagon’s answer to the Iranian Shahed-136 and the tip of the spear for a new era of American warfare.
In this video, we break down how the U.S. reverse-engineered its enemy's deadliest weapon to create the "American Shahed." From its fully autonomous AI brain to the World War II "Liberty Ship" strategy being used to mass-produce these drones, we explore why the future of warfare belongs to the swarm.
naptu2: Seyi Tinubu immediately clarified that he did not give her any money. What happened was that some friends of his got together and gave her money without his knowledge (you can hear the person that gave her the money saying that Seyi Tinubu was not in the country at the time). He said that they might have meant well, but he does not support anything that violates the environmental laws of Lagos. I posted a screenshot of his statement on this thread.
Thanks Naptu for adding more CLARITY to this 10,000 USD donation to the actress.
It impressive that 'Seyi Tinubu came out to debunk the claim as it would be improper for the young man to support a clear violation of already existing laws of Lagos State passed by the Lagos State House of Assembly. It's totally IRRESPONSIBLE for people to point accusing fingers at the government while at the same time encouraging the violation of the laws of the land.
I'm NOT surprised though because some people are products of rural-urban migration and they bring up their entitlement syndrome and mediocre ways of doing things in the remote villages and rural communities to the urban areas and then the "culture clashes" begin with the regular violation of environmental laws with the indiscriminate dumping of urban wastes and more.
Laws are meant to be respected by all. You can't have one set of laws for some and another set of laws for others.
Beremx: So where's the bigotry in my post? Okay she violated a law and she took corrections. She now cook on the streets which is not against the law. Why is she being attacked again? Tell your use...less Tokunbo Wahab to concentrate on stopping indiscriminate public defecation in Lagos especially around Okokomaiko area where filthy beggars have turned the expressway to an IDP camp.
Nonsense
I will have to ignore you from here on out if you don't keep your "head steady" Berem. You seem to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed today and didn't read the original post properly. That actress violated the environmental laws last year and after being WARNED, she went back again to violating the same law which has been in existence for years. Is that too difficult for you to understand?
Second, so, cursing and referring to Lagos as "Yeye Lagos" isn't bigotry on your part?
Third, you are telling me who is a Diasporan about the issues in the Okokomaiko area. Don't you know the LGA chairman in that area who you folks can report to in order do some cleaning up of that area? Primarily, I believe the LGA is responsible for sanitation issues in the different States of Nigeria. Tokunbo Wahab is the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and like I did on this same NL thread, I gave the over 54-year-old Wahab some advanced solutions that can be implemented without insulting him by calling him "use...less." You shouldn't be cursing him here just offer your solutions.Again, residents can storm the social media platforms and administrative offices of government officials to let them know about some inneficient situations in their communities and they would definitely respond.
Beremx: So in the UK and US and developing countries, people don't cook on the streets ehn? We no go hear word with una yeye Lagos
This topic is obviously above your sense of understanding. So, the Lagos State which you as an Imo State indigene lived in for many years is now "yeye Lagos?" That's a highly pathetic thing for you to say and you come off as being narcissistic!
Second, this actress violated restricted spaces by using the walkway on Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1 to cook hence breaking the existing laws that have been there for years. My convo will end here because you are exhibiting ethnic bigotry which you weren't known for in the past.
In a deregulated fuel-based economy, the pump price of gasoline around the world fluctuates based off of the international price of crude oil. Is it too difficult for a lot of these people to understand? They should be grateful that things aren't WORSE than this.
Fortunately, Nigeria now has the Dangote Petrochemical Refinery operating in Ibeju-Lekki in Lagos State which has minimized the full impact of high global energy prices. Without Dangote Petrochemical Refinery, fuel queues and hoarding would have obviously returned to the streets of Nigerian cities. Akwa Ibom State is ALSO gearing up for a new Petrochemical Refinery being built by BUA Group (owned by the Forbes-listed USD billionaire, Abdulsamad Isiaku-Rabiu).
The fuel price is NEVER going to be fixed in a deregulated system and that's the way it is in South Africa, the United States, the United Kingdom, etc.
naptu2: OK, they said she got ten or twenty thousand dollars from Seyi Tinubu so that she'll get a place where she can cook and she won't be cooking on the street anymore. So why is she still cooking on the street?
Seyi Tinubu Dashes Nollywood Actress Sarah Martins $10,000 after her unfortunate encounter with Lagos task force officials, who har@ssed her for cooking on the street in Lekki for the less privileged.#SEYITINUBU#dollars#lagos#lekki#lekkilagos#Sarah…
So, she got 10,000 USD from 'Seyi Tinubu who commended her for what she did despite violating the environmental laws?!
She definitely needs proper monitoring and advice on how charitable organizations work around the world. She seems to me like someone who just jumped on the band wagon and would eat up parts of that 10,000 USD by diverting it into other personal needs of hers.
She just has to STOP cooking along a place like Admiralty Way in Lekki Phase 1. Period.
TITOPE: Desist from carrying out street cooking in public spaces in Lagos in order to avoid apprehension and prosecution- Lagos Commissioner for Works and Environment, Tokunbo Wahab warns actress Sarah Martins
She's obviously trying to draw attention and publicity to herself and she MUST be careful! If you do these violations in the UK and the United States for instance you are going to get punished for violating simple environmental laws. I detest people who use mind-control to manipulate the public and I don't care whether she's doing some alleged charitable work. If she continues with her environmental violations in the Admiralty Way area of Lekki Phase 1, then she should be picked up. Why cook food in restricted spaces (walkways) along Admiralty Way in Lekki Phase 1 when she was warned last year? I remember that episode when she got arrested last year.
Ignorance of the law is NOT an excuse. Period.
Last but NOT least, Tokunbo Wahab too MUST stop pussyfooting and urgently look at ways of using existing advanced biogas/bio fertilizer technologies to eradicate piles of urban waste in Lagos State caused largely by increased rural-urban migration to Lagos State. Biogas toilets for generating electricity and cooking gas should be spread around Lagos communities and markets. What I see online are not edifying about the place known as the major hub of "Detty December" visits by Nigerians in the Diaspora and foreign guests from the United States, the UK, SA, etc. "Eko o ni baje."
