There have been so many misleading information about the new tax law.

If you are earning below N800k, you won't be taxed and if your earnings fall above N1m which is the first tax rate formula, N800k from your N1m is tax free, the charges on the tax will be on the extra N200k

Individuals Earning Below N800k Annually to be Tax-Exempt - Benson
This is very TRUE.

In several podcasts and interviews, Taiwo Oyedele, the brilliant head of the Presidential Tax Reforms CLEARLY stated this same fact that if you are earning less than N100,000 monthly, you will NOT be taxed based on PAYE. Taiwo Oyedele said this means that about 90% of Nigerians will NOT pay PAYE. ALSO VAT has been totally removed on medication, some food items, VAT removed on baking items for bread making and he said the price of bread will start dropping from January 1, 2026. There is NO tax increase and multiple TAXES have been cut off! Price monitoring MUST ALSO be introduced BECAUSE some Nigerians are notorious for NOT bringing down the cost of food items and commodities but will quickly increase the price of food items when any little increase in petrol is made.

Yet, we have seen highly IRRESPONSIBLE people working for those opposition parties such as some Obi supporters in Nigeria spreading massive disinformation online and offline claiming that tax has been increased which is FALSE.

The Federal and State governments in Nigeria too are very responsible for allowing disinformation and fake news instead of launching punitive actions against the spread of FAKE news being spread deliberately due to hatred. To me, this is the BEST ever tax policy ever implemented in Nigerian history.

Some people are trying to sabotage the current Nigerian government yet the man who is the current President of Nigeria likes to annoying play the role of a Mr. Nice guy! These FAKE news can destroy his Goverment if NOT checkmated urgently by punishing those spreading the fake stories under the recently signed 2025 Cyber Crimes Act. I don't know what his so-called supporters who are online and offline are doing... They are NOT telling him to take action about these highly IRRESPONSIBLE fake news circulating online.

You don't expect them to attack and kidnap anybody in Ilorin which is located in an URBAN area. The areas they attacked to kidnap this Oba and his son is in a forested RURAL area of this same Ifelodun LGA of Kwara State.

This latest kidnapping was carried out by kidnappers (with someone among them who spoke fluent English) took place in the forested RURAL part of Ifelodun LGA of Kwara State which is a very large area. So, it's NOT surprising that the kidnappings have been going on there. A return to the traditional ways of protection (using ayeta and okigbe or whatever is needed by the Obas and others). Many like this Oba were born into Xtianity and/or Islam hence they have lost touch with their ORIGINAL traditions for protection.

A genuine Yoruba Ifa Priest (Babalawo) would have immediately immobiled these bandits through potent incantations. Within the last 10 years, Punch newspaper did interviews with several Ifa Priests such as Chief Elebuibon and it was revealed that even Police men come to Ifa Priests for protection using ayeta. The Police men who use ayeta were even interviewed. That was when I started believing that ayeta and okigbe are very potent. Furthermore, an OPC member in Okota, Lagos right in the presence of the late Dr. Frederick Fasehun, several Police men and Lagos State Government officials led by the now Senator representing Ekiti State, Opeyemi Bamidele [who was the Lagos Commissioner of Youth and Sports under the former Governor 'Bola Tinubu] used highly effecting Ifa incantations and metaphysical powers to immobilize the "useless jazz" one Ibo woman called "Gift John" (who was operating an illegal baby factory in Okota in 2005) used to disappear inside her bedroom and NOBODY saw her initially except the Odua Peoples Congress member who detected her vibrational presence in her bedroom where she was hiding. When the OPC member recited powerful Ifa incantations, that woman suddenly appeared nak*d in front of everyone (including the woman's daughter who had told a LIE to Opeyemi Bamidele and the Police investigators that her mother wasn't in the house and had gone out). The then Lagos State Commissioner of Youths, Opeyemi Bamidele told Punch newspaper in a full interview which I read back in 2005 that as an Xtian he didn't believe that such powers existed before until that very moment. 2005 was the year I started believing that Yorubas have very powerful and potent spiritual and metaphysical powers. That woman was using jazz (odeshi) she got from her dibia place in the East, she was into human rituals and the illegal baby factory thing with girls brought from the South East to give birth in Lagos. The Lagos State Government had to shut down that illegal facility in Okota. Incidentally, Festus Keyamo represented that insidious woman as her lawyer and the media ALSO interviewed him.

They have been attacking and kidnapping people in the rural parts of Kwara State, Kogi and Niger States that they consider as soft spots. Those areas are very huge areas of land and this is the advantage that those IRRESPONSIBLE foreign bandits are using to move around the vast forest regions that cut across those 3 States of Niger, Kwara and Kogi.

The massive purchase of surveillance and attack drones including satellite tracking technologies in addition to the existing drones Nigeria has would be needed to cover that whole region and other contiguous States of Nigeria.

CrimeRe: Gunmen Abduct Another Kwara Monarch by AlphaTaikun: 7:49am On Jan 02
[quote author= post=137987480]The Aniwo 1 of the Aafin community in the Ile-Ire District of the Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara State, Oba Simeon Olaonipekun, and one of his sons, Olaolu, who is currently observing the National Youth Service Corps, have reportedly been kidnapped following a violent attack on the palace.

The incident comes less than two months after the abduction of the Ojibara of Bayagan-Ile from his home in the same Ifelodun LGA.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the attack on Olaonipekun occurred late on New Year’s Eve when about eight gunmen allegedly stormed the palace around 8 p.m., firing sporadically and demanding to see the monarch and his wife.

An insider who was within the palace premises during the attack told PUNCH Metro via telephone on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter that panic ensued as the assailants opened fire.

“Around 8 p.m., I noticed some strange movements outside and immediately alerted those inside. We started locking all the doors and switching off the inner lights, but when they realised what we were doing, they began shooting sporadically,” the source said.

The source said the gunmen forced their way into the palace by breaking down the door with their guns and demanded to see the Oba.

“They were about eight in number; I saw them from where I was hiding. They used their guns to break down the door, gained entrance and asked for Kabiesi, and he came out.

“They were also asking for his wife, but she had already been hit in the arm by a bullet during their attempt to gain entrance.

“The assailants also seized one of the monarch’s sons who came out from hiding with the Olori (queen),” the source added.

“We were about 10 people in the palace at the time, having come to spend the holiday with Kabiesi. Everyone was hiding during the incident.

“One of the sons who was with the Olori came out to avoid casualties as they were shooting and breaking down doors,” the source explained.

The source added that the leader of the attackers spoke fluent English and appeared to be specifically targeting the monarch and his wife.

“The leader of the kidnappers spoke good English. The only people they asked for were Kabiesi and his wife. After they left, we quickly took the Olori to the hospital that same night,” he said.

He further disclosed that the town’s vigilante group could not repel the attackers because only two members were on duty at the time.

“The vigilantes could not do much because only two of them were on duty, and they could not match the firepower of the assailants. We have not heard anything from the kidnappers since they left with the Oba and his son. We are appealing to the government and security agencies to come to our aid,” he said.

The source also revealed that the incident was reported to police divisions in the area on the night of the attack.

“When we left Aafin that night, we reported at the Owu-Isin Divisional Police Station. On getting to Ijara-Isin, we also informed the police there. The joint local security network at Ikosin and the Kabiesi of Oke-Aba were equally informed,” he said.

When contacted on Thursday, the Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, said the command was aware of the incident but that details were still being collated.

“I will get in touch with you immediately once I have detailed information about the incident,” she said.

The reported abduction comes amid a disturbing rise in insecurity in Kwara State, particularly in Ifelodun and other rural communities.

In late November, bandits abducted the Ojibara of Bayagan-Ile, Alhaji Kamilu Salami, from his farm in the same local government area, sparking fear and condemnation across the state.

The monarch was held in captivity for weeks before being released following community-led negotiations and the payment of a substantial ransom.

Security analysts say the increasing frequency of kidnappings, attacks on worshippers and assaults on rural leaders points to a growing escalation of banditry and criminal activity in forest-border communities of Kwara State.

Recent data indicate scores of abductions and killings linked to armed groups operating along the state’s borders with Niger and Kogi states, as well as internal flashpoints in Ifelodun, Patigi, Edu, Ekiti, Isin and other local government areas.

The United States airstrikes should right NOW be massively targeting the Jihadi group called JNIM affiliated to Al-Qaeda in Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger Republic because it's obvious that those 3 innefectual military rulers are incapable of stopping with the so-called Russian assistance the spread of these Islamists mostly of Tuareg ethnic origin.

Over HALF of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger Republic are NOW in the hands of JNIM which is the deadliest Jihadi terrorist group operating in the Sahelian region of West Africa (even more deadly than BH and ISWAP which is a faction of BH operating in the Lake Chad Region of Chad, Nigeria, Niger Republic and Northern Cameroon). Majority of those causing security problems for Nigeria in that Lake Chad Region are foreigners (just like the foreign Fula militia bandits are attacking indigenous Nigerian ethnic communities from the North to the Middle Belt to the Southern States of Nigeria) and NOT even Nigerian citizens contrary to the beliefs of a lot of uninformed people who do not know about the situation on the war on the Jihadis on the ground.

PoliticsRe: List Of What Tinubu Has Done In 3 Years - Akingangan by AlphaTaikun:
akingangan:
1. Removed fuel subsidy and unified exchange rates, leading to long-term economic stability because it eliminates fiscal distortions and attracts genuine investments.

2. Doubled government revenues in some periods, reaching over ₦31.9 trillion in 2024, because this provides more funds for infrastructure and social programs without excessive borrowing.

3. Reduced fiscal deficit from 5.4% of GDP in 2023 to 3.0% in 2024 because a lower deficit promotes fiscal discipline and reduces debt burden on future generations.

4. Increased foreign reserves from around $4 billion in 2023 to over $23 billion (some reports up to $46 billion) by late 2024 because higher reserves strengthen the naira and protect against external shocks.

5. Achieved trade surpluses for multiple consecutive quarters because this improves the balance of payments and supports currency stability.

6. Boosted non-oil exports to nearly 48% of total exports because diversifying exports reduces over-reliance on oil and builds economic resilience.

7. Nigerian Stock Exchange gained around 48% in 2025 because a strong stock market reflects growing investor confidence and creates wealth for citizens.

8. Upgraded credit ratings and attracted increased foreign direct investment, especially in the digital economy, because better ratings lower borrowing costs and drive job-creating investments.

9. Projected GDP growth exceeding 4% annualized because sustained growth expands the economy, creates jobs, and improves living standards.

10. Launched the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), benefiting hundreds of thousands of students (over 300,000–788,000 disbursements for tuition and upkeep) because it removes financial barriers to higher education and builds a skilled workforce.

11. Provided presidential grants and loans to over 900,000 Nigerians for entrepreneurship and skills development because this empowers youth to start businesses and reduces unemployment.

12. Implemented a ₦70,000 national minimum wage to improve living standards because higher wages boost workers' purchasing power and stimulate economic activity.

13. Allocated N80 billion for infrastructure upgrades in 100 federal unity schools because modern facilities enhance learning quality and promote national unity through diverse student interactions.

14. Reopened all 47 federal unity secondary schools after temporary closure due to insecurity because ensuring safe access to education supports continuous learning and student development.

15. Established 119 learning centers nationwide for almajiri education because integrating vulnerable children into formal education reduces street begging and builds future productivity.

16. Approved a new National Policy on Almajiri Education because a structured policy addresses root causes of out-of-school children and promotes inclusive development.

17. Began re-establishment of 157 model almajiri schools, integrating out-of-school children, because this brings millions back into education and curbs social vulnerabilities.

18. Appointed new leadership for the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education because strong leadership ensures effective implementation of reforms.

19. Unveiled comprehensive almajiri education reforms with international support because modernized education for almajiri children fosters social integration and long-term national progress.

20. Initiated major highway projects, including Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Road, and Lagos-Ibadan Expressway because better roads reduce travel time, lower transportation costs, and boost trade.

21. Invested over ₦2 trillion in road infrastructure because massive investment creates jobs during construction and supports economic growth long-term.

22. Modernized ports (e.g., Tin Can Island, Lekki Deep Sea Port integration) and expanded rail networks because efficient ports and rail improve logistics, reduce import costs, and enhance export competitiveness.

23. Signed the Electricity Act 2023 to decentralize power generation and encourage private investment because reliable electricity is essential for industrial growth and household convenience.

24. Launched a diaspora mortgage scheme offering low-interest loans up to N50 million for Nigerians abroad to build or buy homes because it channels diaspora remittances into productive housing investment.

25. Unveiled a new housing platform for diaspora Nigerians to purchase properties across all 36 states and the FCT because easy access encourages diaspora contribution to the economy and reduces housing deficit.

26. Implemented Renewed Hope Housing Programme with nationwide construction and diaspora-inclusive financing because increasing housing supply makes homeownership affordable for more Nigerians.

27. Groundbreaking for 3,500 housing units in Renewed Hope City, Abuja because large-scale projects create construction jobs and provide modern living spaces.

28. Eliminated over 13,500 terrorists and enhanced military operations in troubled regions because improved security restores peace, enables farming and business, and protects lives.

29. Rolled out Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) program to lower transportation costs because cheaper fuel alternatives reduce public transport fares and ease inflation pressures.

30. Introduced consumer credit schemes because accessible credit helps families afford essentials and stimulates local consumption.

31. Provided agricultural funds leading to increased food production (e.g., 20% rise in rice output in some reports) because boosting local farming lowers food prices and enhances food security.

32. Distributed cash transfers and subsidies to vulnerable groups because direct support alleviates poverty and improves quality of life for the most needy.

33. Rewarded Super Falcons players (after 10th WAFCON title in 2025) with $100,000 equivalent each, a three-bedroom apartment, and national honour (OON) because generous rewards motivate excellence and inspire young girls to pursue sports.

34. Awarded Super Falcons technical crew $50,000 equivalent each, housing, and honours because recognizing support staff ensures sustained team performance.

35. Rewarded D’Tigress players (after fifth consecutive AfroBasket title in 2025) with $100,000 equivalent each, an apartment, and OON honour because such incentives promote women's basketball dominance and national pride.

36. Awarded D’Tigress coaching staff $50,000 each, housing, and honours because valuing coaches encourages professional development in sports.

37. Used these rewards to motivate athletes, inspire youth (especially girls), and promote women's sports and national unity because celebrating female champions advances gender equality and unites the country through shared success.

38. Increased oil production to around 1.68 million barrels per day because higher output boosts government revenue for public spending.

39. Expanded digital identity enrollment (over 126 million in NIMC database) because comprehensive identity coverage improves service delivery, reduces fraud, and enables targeted welfare programs.

40. Re-adopted the old national anthem because it restores cultural heritage and fosters a sense of historical continuity and patriotism.

PoliticsRe: How To Obtain Your Tax ID In Nigeria Using Your NIN: A Simple Step-By-Step Guide by AlphaTaikun: 9:26pm On Jan 01
Great100000:
Many Nigerians now need a Tax Identification Number for banking, employment, business registration, and government services. To make the process easier, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) now allows individuals to retrieve their Tax ID using their National Identification Number (NIN).

You can obtain your Tax ID in Nigeria online by using your NIN through the official FIRS Tax ID portal. The process is free, fully online, and takes only a few minutes if your details are correct.

What Is a Tax Identification Number (Tax ID)?

A Tax Identification Number, often called Tax ID or TIN, is a unique number issued by the Federal Inland Revenue Service. It is used to track tax records for individuals and businesses.

For individuals, a Tax ID is required for:

• Opening certain bank accounts.
• Government programs and grants.
• Employment documentation.
• Business and professional transactions.

With the integration of NIN into government systems, retrieving a Tax ID has become easier.

Who Can Use the NIN Method to Get a Tax ID?

The NIN-based Tax ID retrieval is for individuals who:

• Are Nigerian citizens or legal residents.
• Have a valid and active NIN.
• Have personal details that match NIN records.

You do not need to own a registered business to use this method.

Requirements Before You Start

Before visiting the portal, make sure you have:

• Your 11-digit National Identification Number.
• Correct spelling of your first and last name.
• Your date of birth as registered with NIMC.
• Internet access on your phone or computer.

Your details must match exactly with your NIN records.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Obtain Your Tax ID Using NIN

Follow the steps below carefully:

Step 1: Visit the Official Tax ID Portal

Go to the official FIRS Tax ID website:
https://taxid.firs.gov.ng/

Step 2: Select “Individual”

On the homepage, click on Individual to continue.

Step 3: Choose NIN as Your Retrieval Method

From the Tax ID Retrieval Method dropdown menu, select NIN.

Enter your 11-digit NIN in the field provided.

Step 4: Click “Retrieve Tax ID”

After entering your NIN, click Retrieve Tax ID.

A pop-up box will appear requesting additional details.

Step 5: Enter Your Personal Details

Provide the following information exactly as registered:

• First name
• Last name
• Date of birth

Tick the checkbox to give consent for identity verification.

Step 6: Submit Your Request

Click Submit to complete the process.

Step 7: View Your Tax ID

If your information matches FIRS records, a confirmation message will appear.

Your Tax ID will be displayed on the screen.

You can copy or save the number for future use.

What to Do If Your Tax ID Does Not Show

If your Tax ID does not appear, possible reasons include:

• Name mismatch between NIN and FIRS records.
• Incorrect date of birth.
• NIN not properly synced with tax records.

In such cases, you may need to contact FIRS support or visit a tax office for assistance.

Why This Process Matters for Small Business Owners

For MSMEs, having a Tax ID helps with:

• Accessing government loans and grants.
• Registering businesses and corporate accounts.
•Participating in official programs and tenders.

Many federal programs now require a valid Tax ID as part of eligibility checks.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

That's an impressive leap in tax harmonization in the history of Nigeria.

Taiwo Oyedele in several media interviews and podcasts has already said about 90% of Nigerians who earn BELOW N100,000 monthly will NOT be paying PAYE (Tax on income). A lot of random posters right from Page 1 are totally ill-educated or mischievous about the REAL benefits of taxation which a lot of people haven't been paying for years. Other Europen and North American countries are taking between 40% to over 50% of their citizen's earnings which is huge. But tell a Nigerian to pay tax and he or she start grumbling yet they compare their country with North African and European countries in terms of development

What do you mean by activate?... Are there laws in the books? Who is responsible for activating them? Pretty much the same laws are in the books in the US ...the UK and other countries and in Nigeria. How often do we see them enforced in those countries?...how often do we see them enforced in Nigeria? People are wayyyy more careful of what they post because the consequences can be life changing. Do same in Nigeria..... almost always...nothing happens and if pressed...just need to say sorry and all is forgiven . Case in point .... one girl hopped on SM and emotionally called out Davido for impregnating her sister ...went viral ...he confronted her ...she then claimed it was all lies ....the masses asked for forgiveness because she was young ...he did and pretty much gav her a pat on th back. What message did that send? ...others did take cue and we are where we are today. Same with terrorists ...forgiven and rewarded by Buhari ...and many are wondering how we get where we are today regarding terrorism and kidnappings. Somebody post fake news about us....it is for us to take them to court and clean house ...like a few have done ...no need for SM back and forth.
As of 2022, the Japanese Parliament increased the punitive measures against cyber bullying and online disinformation as result of the death by suicide of a young female Japanese actress. I posted about it in July 2022 on NL and the 2 links are right BELOW.

Over there in Nigeria, a newer and stiffer Cyber Crime Law was signed into law in 2025 at the Federal level
in order to mitigate the highly insidious activities of cyber bullies, disinformation and defamation of character. That's all what I was referring to.

I get your point about the highly IRRESPONSIBLE way some people allow themselves to get swayed into forgiving trolls and online defamers. People have to learn to test the laws on offline and online defamation in any court jurisdiction in order to send a STRONG message and deterrent to all these hungry wannabe YouTubers and bloggers looking for click baits or generally using it for secessionist propaganda.

Just last week, Aliko Dangote threatened to sue a Northern guy for billions of Naira for defaming him on a TV program and almost immediately, the guy apologized on TV BECAUSE he knew full well that what he said was misleading and lowered Aliko in the eyes of the public. That guy's prompt apology was posted on nap.tu2's thread.

Friends mourn the 'massive loss' of the victims involved in the Nigeria car crash that injured Anthony Joshua.

Roberto Abbate told Sky News he'd been through 'every emotion possible with' childhood friend of Sina Ghami.

Sky's Sadiya Chowdhury reports.

Sina Ghami was of Iranian background, not Arab. He was a British fitness expert and a long-time member of boxer Anthony Joshua's team, serving as his strength and conditioning coach and a close friend.

Ghami, along with his friend Abdul Latif Ayodele, tragically died in a car crash in Nigeria in late December 2025 that also involved Anthony Joshua.

Sina Ghami and Kevin ‘Latif’ Ayodele, two friends of the British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua, were killed in a car crash in Nigeria on Monday morning.

Joshua suffered minor injuries in the crash, which came ten days
after his knockout victory over the influencer Jake Paul.

The Context
The crash occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan highway in Makun, Ogun State, approximately 12 a.m. local time, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Nigeria.

The report said the vehicle Joshua's was traveling in collided with a stationary truck. The FRSC wrote on X that "preliminary findings indicate that the Lexus Jeep, which was suspected to be traveling beyond the legally prescribed speed limit on the corridor, lost control during an overtaking maneuver and crashed into a stationary truck well packed by the side of the road."

What To Know
Ghami and Ayodele both worked with Joshua. Ghami was a strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele was a personal trainer and fitness model. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Ghami co-founded Evolve Gym in London. He was a qualified sports and exercise rehabilitator who specialises in musculoskeletal injuries and corrective exercise, according to its website. He had also worked with athletes in the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA) and Michigan State University football team.

Ghami’s most recent post was shared from Miami, where the fight between Joshua and Paul took place, and showed him and Joshua smiling next to each other with their fists raised. Ayodele shared a similar photo with Joshua shortly after the fight, with the two flexing their muscles standing in front of a pool.

Build a strong brotherhood.
Ayodele had been working with the Spot Project, a charity that helps underprivileged children in The Gambia. His work with them was aimed at helping children have better school facilities, quality education, and sports equipment.

Ayodele was a practicing Muslim. In an Instagram post from 2020 that was pinned to his profile, he wrote, “Finding Islam in 2012 has been my biggest blessing Alhamdulilah. It allowed me to meet so many good brothers Muslim and none Muslim and

Prior to the crash, Joshua shared a video of himself and Ayodele playing table tennis together.

Joshua was born in Britain to Nigerian parents and spent some of his early years in Nigeria at a boarding school. He traditionally travels to his family home in Nigeria at this time of year.

Joshua was taken to the hospital and said to be in a stable condition.

What People Are Saying
Eddie Hearn, a sports promoter, in a post on Instagram: “Two great men. Rest in eternal peace Sina and Latz. My thoughts and deepest prayers are with everyone.”

Joshua’s boxing promoter, Matchroom Boxing, said in a statement shared by Hearn: “With profound sadness it has been confirmed that two close friends and team members Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele have tragically passed away.”

Jake Paul, in a post on X: “RIP Sina Ghami and Kevin “Latif / Latz” Ayodele. My thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends and AJ.”

Ring Magazine, a boxing publication, in a post on X: “The Ring team send their condolences to the family and friends of Sina Ghami and Kevin Latif Ayodele who were killed today in the car crash that also injured Anthony Joshua. They were two of Anthony Joshua's close friends and team members, and the boxing community is deeply saddened at this loss.”

What Happens Next?
Matchroom Boxing said in their statement that they will be making no further comment and asked that people respect the privacy of those affected.

SportsRe: Anthony Joshua Discharged From Hospital by AlphaTaikun:
InfoGuru118:
Anthony Joshua has been discharged from the hospital after treatment for the injuries sustained during a road accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

In a statement on Wednesday, Gbenga Omotoso, Lagos commissioner for information, says the former heavyweight boxing champion has been “deemed clinical fit to recuperate from home”.

On Monday, a Lexus SUV conveying Joshua and his team rammed into a stationary truck along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Two of Joshua’s close associates — Kevin Latif Ayodele, his personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, his strength and conditioning coach — died in the accident.

The boxer survived the crash with minor injuries and was taken to a medical hospital in Lagos.

Omotoso revealed that Joshua had been receiving treatment at the Lagoon Hospital, Ikoyi, following the accident, and was discharged on Wednesday afternoon.

The commissioner added that the boxer and his mother then visited the funeral home in Lagos, where the remains of the late associates are stationed, to pay their final respects.

“Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu deeply appreciate the public concern and show of love and affection over this very sad and unfortunate incident,” Omotoso writes.

On Tuesday, the Ogun police command said a burst tyre caused the accident.

However, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) had said its preliminary findings show that excessive speed and wrongful overtaking were the cause of the motor accident.

Although born in England, Joshua often visits his native home in Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria. He was also in Nigeria last year, where he hung out with celebrities and also presented President Bola Tinubu with a signed boxing glove.

The latest visit comes a few days after Joshua knocked out Jake Paul in an exhibition heavyweight bout at the Kaseya Centre, Miami.

To be honest, it's time for Nigeria and indeed the ENTIRE world to immediately activate heavy punitive measures such as heavy fines and jail terms of 3 years minimum against all those who create criminal FAKE YouTube video channels and FAKE news sites to engage in massive disinformation for click baiting purposes.

A lot of these random commentators are posting fake video commentaries and photoshopped images of a bloodied AJ online. They are irresponsibly posting about what they aren't competent to speak about over this horrendous Lexus SUV crash involving Anthony Joshua and the instant death of his two British-born friends Kevin Latif "Latz" Ayodele and "Oluwasina" Sina Ghami who AJ arrived with from London via the Lagos International Airport on that same December 29, 2025.

Sina Ghami was visiting Nigeria for the FIRST time ever as indicated by AJ in their airport arrival video where he refered to Sina Ghami as "Oluwasina" but ALSO refered to him as an Arab guy (Sina Ghami is in reality said to be of Persian/Iranian origin) in that same video. Latif "Latz" Ayodele had visited Nigeria in 2024 with AJ on holidays so Latz WASN'T visiting Nigeria as a British-Nigerian for the FIRST time. Since Sina and Latz are Muslims, I assume they might be buried according to Islamic rites in Lagos/Ogun States or immediately flown to England for Islamic burial.

Watching the airport arrival video of these 3 young men from England on the day of the horrendous car crash, I feel so close vibrationally right now to AJ, Latz Ayodele and Sina Ghami who are ALL just 36 years of age.

May the families of Abdullatif "Latz" Ayodele and Sina Ghami (whose name shows he's of Persian or Iranian roots) find the fortitude to deal with the sudden passing away of their sons and brothers.

Last but NOT least, it's time for all Nigerian cars to have speed limit devices, regular tyre pressure checks, dashboard cameras on board and more ambulances or emergency accident rescue teams on different sections of Nigeria's busiest expressways starting from the Lagos-Ibadan expressway which is the busiest in Nigeria. I'm aware that Lagos State had deployed very modern and highly effective rescue ambulances along parts of that same expressway and WITHIN strategic locations of Lagos State during the periods when the former Governors 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Babatunde Raji-Fashola were in charge of the Lagos State government.

Some monuments should ALSO be named after Kevin Abdullatif "Latz" Ayodele and Sina Ghami to immortalise both of them for being part of Anthony Joshua's world boxing team who brought glory at different times to Britain and Nigeria due to AJ's dual British and Nigerian/Yoruba royal family roots.

Take charge and stay safe everyone... have a wonderful New Year (2026) to all of you reading this.

How long would it take a minimum wage earner to afford a 1-Bedroom Apartment in different parts of Lagos?

This calculation is based on current 1-bedroom average rental prices and assumes the worker saves 100% of their ₦70,000 monthly income, with no spending at all. It also does not account for future rent increases over the saving period.

Even in the most affordable area, a 1-bedroom apartment consumes 42% of a minimum-wage earner’s annual income.

That means nearly half of everything earned in a year goes to rent alone. That's before food, transport, healthcare, electricity, school fees, or emergencies.

I can see that a lot of you guys know absolutely NOTHING about the TRUE status of Nigeria's economy before and after the current Nigerian President 'Bola Tinubu came in just 2 years and 7 months ago (May 27 2023).

Nigeria was living a VERY BIG LIE and had NO real economy before that subsidy removal... Nigeria was borrowing money from offshore sources to defend the USD/Naira exchange rates and paying huge subsidiaries on imported fuel. With subsidy gone, the TRUE picture of Nigeria's FAKE economy of several decades from the Military rule years began to show leading to a spike in inflation BUT that is falling now. A lot of cheap items have been recorded this December holidays from folks in Lagos and other contiguous States. To those complaining of high cost of chicken and goats, NOTE that big cities are usually more expensive to live in due largely to greed, so, try to explore States outside Lagos, PH, the FCT, etc, to get cheaper food items. Ogun, Oyo, etc, are areas where cheaper foodstuffs exist for Lagos residents to buy cheaply. Even Lagos State has rural agrarian communities where food can be got. A focus on urban agriculture and agribusiness for commercial and personal purposes such as snails, chicken rearing from the pullet stage to adulthood, urban veggies farming in pots, aquaculture, yams in sacks, etc, can also be explored instead of allowing shylocks to cheat you by increasing the costs of items arbitrarily.

The exchange rate too has stabilized for months now with the multiple exchange rates that used to exist, and the backlog of FOREX owed to the foreign airlines have been paid to them. There's a lot more that rational minds have seen. Period.,
