God forgive me, I now feel disgusted when I see these beggars because they are part reason we are in this mess of a country.

Although I don't fail to give to the crippled beggars sweeping the bridges anytime I pass one.

I concur to your thoughts. The BH ranks has been swelled by kidnapped kids and such. They use the women as war brides and the younglings as more soldiers.

For the first time since this issue has been brought up, I am just reading that those planned for amnesty fall into that group.

If we adopt a mindset of 'kill them all', this war ain't ending soon. If there is a way of giving soft landings to non orients or kidnapped members of the group, cases of combatants dropping their weapons and reporting themselves to the next military post will abound. That then will give info for the layout of their bases and give the soldiers an better plan of attack.

If on the other hand they know they are on the death list, this will never happen as they be forced to fight till they drop dead. BH on the other hand will keep 'recritung' either by indoctrination or kidnapping like the attack on chibok which happened a few days ago.

The onus on the government now is

- how to prove to the public that these ones will no later return to being menaces

- give succor to the families of those who lost their lives (soldiers and civilians) that this is a right step to ensure the sacrifices of the dead would not be a waste as this step would end the war fast.

- show true determination in taking care of the displaced

- work on how radicalism would no more take hold of the hearts of youths in the north and effectively transition the almajiry system

- improve the economy in the north as a hood work place

- obey the rule of law (the death of Yusuf caused all this wahala)

Wisdom is needed here and the govt should not just feel people will readily accept the offer. People are hurt and the government already made a move that speaks insensitivity. They should have approached stakeholders with an explanation ahead of making such a move.

I hope the best is done to put all this into our history books VERY soon.
Gej was busy doing all you mentioned above when they were busy throwing bomb to destabilize the economy.

Buhari should just find a means to pay his workers (bokoharam) and not turn this into a national business.

TroubleMaker47:
The truth is, Amnesty either for ND militants or Boko haram should never have been!
There is absolutely no justification for forgiving criminals and paying them or catering for there welfare regardless of the cause they claim to be fighting for!
Late Umaru Yar Ardua set a bad precedent by granting amnesty to terrorists with the name MEND. Today BH are asking for the same.
Afterall they are both intricately intertwined
They both fought for a cause!
They both threatened the goverment!
They both employed violence
They both caused the goverment loss of lives and properties!
So yes WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GEESE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER!
AMNESTY SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN, BUT HERE WE ARE!!!
Trash

A country fighting Terrorism woke up morning and decides to give amnesty to the same Terrorists they claimed they’re fighting. How can a sane country negotiate with Terrorists?
What is boko haram fighting for? Niger deltans are fighting for misuse of their land and resources.

This is a clear case of sabotage. Our so called leaders send terrorist to destabilize our economy promising to use money from same economy as payment for job well done. What a shame.l!

Orisirisi something. So the snakes are supposed to be in a mansion on a 12ft X 12ft mattress under one of the finest duvet, served a hot cup of coffee with the heater running while watching cable TV.

Just how many miles apart I, Lalasticlala, NL and Nigerians are apart in matters like these is what I can't fathom.

Little wonder cats and dogs could even inherit a fortune over there. Odiegwu!
I read patiently to get to that part of fetish or dangerous.....so disappointed cheesy These ones will choose snakes over humans.

We really need to hear lalastica's take on this matter since we all know he loves snakes.....In all honesty, would he care this much for snakes or eat them with love?? cheesy

Corruption charge that holds no water. Turning a blind eye to Ganduje, Tinubu, Amaechi, Oshomole and other clearly corrupt/ treasonable official that even the blind can see.

My prayer for ppl that voted this man is that them and their families will be negatively and directly affected by his administration one way or the other. They should live to regret their actions. Amen.

Are you gay?

Wedding dress is the least thing a working class lady from a decent family can do for her self.

Except she is from a poor home.

And all these guys putting eye on girls income, what if she is bread winner of her family? What if her villagers contributed money to see her through school.

I'm surprise that most people don't know the difference between being married and engaged...

You mentioned that you've done traditional rites, for instance, you've paid the bride price...

I kinda get disappointed at your write up...Please, with due respect; you are married.. As a matter of fact, You are fully married.. White wedding isn't a must...

To everyone who doesn't know this fact.. Once you paid a girl bride price and do every other traditional rite, YOU ARE MARRIED!..

Being engaged is when you went witj a few family member for introduction...

Thanks..
I tire o, I don't know who is about to get into a mess in this relationship.

The foundation is already faulty. This is already an abomination in the Ibo culture.

Living apart after tradhuh As much as I don't like op, I don't wish he gets married to the girl because any family that can allow such are not good ppl at all.

Is she not supposed to be in your house already?

Speaking from experience, if she doesn't assist you now, she will never assist you in future.

See the issue posh wedding has caused?
So the years of love will be wasted just because of argument on wedding bills...

If my husband brings 5 million for wedding,i will use 4.5 million to start a business for myself and the 500k will be for the court wedding, light refreshment and traditional rites grin
But is a woman not supposed to follow her husband home after traditional wedding??

I don't think this kind of discussion should lead to any sort of argument....
And moreover, is the traditional wedding not enough to make her your woman already?
undecided
This is what happens when a man is with a woman because of what he can get from her earnings.

Sadly, they always get disappointed.
