Politics / Re: FG To Clinton: Don't Brand Boko-Haram As Terrorist Group by Ama28(f): 12:07pm On Aug 11, 2012
I was coming home from a meeting sometime ago and we had stop a over at dubai. We were joined by Nigerians coming home from business trips there. (This was after our young man Farouk tried bombing the american plane). Those traders were almost stripped naked in the name of searching. I had to step in to caution their immigration workers when they were insisting that the guy in my front pulls off his trousers. My colleagues help calm the situation but it was humiliating and dehumanizing, talk more of what will happen if we are declared "ITN". Some of us are talking because it might not affect us directly but we have thousands of Nigerians in diaspora, it will stigmatize us in all ramification. So please this is one of the best things GEJ has done for us even though he lost my vote a long time ago.
Travel / Re: Attempted Robbery On Arik Air Flight: Suspect & Victim Arrested by Ama28(f): 11:44am On Aug 11, 2012
To the Nigerian media: if you want to tell a lie, tell a believable one that's what makes a fiction. Such low life story.
To start with, why was the victim arrested? For his money being stolen? How come even the name of the victim was with held?
The highest currency note we have is N1000, so the guy/babe stole two wraps of 100,000 assuming the victim has them in such note and the victim was still sleeping. Pls is there tse tse fly in the plane or the victim has sleeping sickness? The Nigerians I know will leach the person alive before the plane gets to the point of landing, be it the rich or poor. Like I said make ur fiction believable next time. We aren't dummies!!!!!

Politics / Re: If GEJ Improves Electricity, Will You Vote For Him In 2015? by Ama28(f): 1:34pm On Aug 09, 2012
I really won't give him my vote come 2015 even if he improves electricity. His decision making and implementing strategy is zero, his anti corruption strategy zero. He has the zeal to make a change on electricity but if Obj had the same degree of zeal GEJ has on electricity, he would have improved it. I want a leader that can solve more problems and save lives. We have lost more lives in his tenure than that of most leaders of our time. No No No!!!! He has to go.
Family / Re: Women Living With Hiv/aids by Ama28(f): 1:12pm On Aug 09, 2012
The first step to achieving that is to have the passion which I can clearly read from your write up. Next is having the patience and stamina to do the job. Most times humanitarian workers with good intentions end up stigmatizing PLWAs. Remember there is a thin line between empathy and pity.
On resource mobilization, the fund is available but the process of accessing such is rigorous and people start diverting it from abuja, right there at the top. In all u will need a little experience working with an org into it before starting urs, even if its as a part time volunteer. Sorry got to stop here, duty calls. Goodluck
