Politics › Re: Buhari Asks Jonathan To Resign Over Insecurity by Ama28(f): 12:02pm On May 22, 2013
I can't help but admire most of the responses here.
I think Buhari is not coming out clearly on his stand on security issues in Nigeria but there is something I got from what this piece that is truthful!

“Government cannot kill all the Boko Haram members. Government should rather arrest and prosecute the Boko Haram members. They should only be killed when they said clearly they wage war against their country like what happened during the civil war. And even during civil war we that fought in the war were given a copy of code of conduct book which guided us against killing innocent people”, he said

I agree with him that government cannot kill all BH members because that will be jungle justice. They should be captured and tried before a court of law. If found guilty should be made to face the music.
But Gen Buhari in as much as I agree they shouldn't all be killed, I disagree that they disnt wedge war against Nigeria. You were a military man so you know what it means to wedge war! They indeed did that!
Mr Jonathan please the army cannot kill all suspected BH members, that will be a manslaughter

Politics › Re: Ombatse Used Cutlass To Fight Police by Ama28(f): 9:57pm On May 21, 2013
I am trying so hard to get the full details of this event that lead to this terrible loss!
Can anyone fill me in? What did the security forces go there to do before being killed?
Politics › Re: FG Alerts On Likely Heavy Flood by Ama28(f): 9:40pm On May 21, 2013
Diasporan: Alert has been issued and people won't listen.Later they will still blame GEJ for it
So after the alert what are these people supposed to do and where are they to go to?
Politics › Re: Okorocha Threatens To Arrest Idle Youths by Ama28(f): 9:33pm On May 21, 2013
If he is yet to speak with private sector and even his own ministries then why call out the youth and start making promises and threats of arrest?
Job creation is not a day job Mr Governor! It takes policies and planning, not just promises and political propaganda!

Imo is yet to recruit since his administration and yet people are living in false hopes!
Job creation takes strong PPP, so not just a "gathering at the square affair"
Imo indeed must be better Mr. Okorocha

Politics › Re: Boko-Haram: More Soldiers Sent To Adamawa State by Ama28(f): 6:59pm On May 20, 2013
Tired of this sad news of war!
Why can't these guys accept amnesty for peace sake! Their families and community members are suffering this!
The effect of this SOE will outlive most of these terrorists
Politics › Re: 2,000 Civilians Flee Borno To Niger Republic by Ama28(f): 4:45pm On May 20, 2013
How come no statutory body in Nigeria has data about fleeing Nigerians.
They only have data on fleeing Boko Haram members!
So there are no camps set up for those displaced or fleeing their homes.
Northern leaders are busy politicking and looking for presidency while UN is waiting for those to persecute for war crimes!
This is a war indeed!
Politics › Re: 2,000 Civilians Flee Borno To Niger Republic by Ama28(f): 4:37pm On May 20, 2013
I'd take that '2000 Nigerians fleeing to Niger' statement with a truckload of salt! And if they have no skeletons in their cupboards (and are actually Nigerians), why are they running to Niger?
Now if you have ever witnessed a near war situation, you will run, especially when you have dependents on you.
There was a 24 hours curfew so what happens to families that need to work before they earn money to buy food. You think fathers will be comfortable watching their children cry for hours for food?
Let's stop thinking like we are super human and the citizens at these states are less.
If you are in their situation, you won't just run mister, you will flee
Islam › Re: Muslim Students Reject Hijab Ban In Lagos Public Schools by Ama28(f): 4:20pm On May 20, 2013
I hope this Association is not seeking for sympathy at a time like this.
Moreover their statements is pointing on the person of the commissioner and not her office or her Boss.
So they think Mr. Fashola is not aware and such a pronouncement is made in his state?

Anyway they are stakeholders in the present issue and their stand should be taken into consideration.
I thought they had a case about the girl that was beaten by the teacher at school?
They need that case, its a plus for them!

I hope the hijab makes the brains of the kids work better and not a distraction!
Celebrities › Re: Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha - Exclusive Interview by Ama28(f): 4:11pm On May 20, 2013
I have always seen Chioma as homely. Many female actors need to learn from her. I heard her movie is already at the cinema!
Can't wait to watch!
Nne thanks for your work and I hope u make as good a producer as an actress!
Kudos
Foreign Affairs › Re: France Legalises Same-sex Marriage by Ama28(f): 8:37am On May 20, 2013
I am not a pro homosexual but I am sometimes moved to pity these guys. I remember an experience at the Uni when a gay made a pass at this cult guy and they started beating him. I couldn't help be moved because he is human and just like any of us, wanted sexual gratification.

Its a sin before God but so is adultery and Fornication.
I think France has a justification for legalising it since more of their population are pro gay right!
They are still a handful in Nigeria hence not a significant population yet. Can you imagine not being able to tell you family and friends your true sexuality because stigma?

Quite a pity!

Politics › Re: 65 Fleeing Boko-Haram Members Arrested In Borno by Ama28(f): 9:10pm On May 18, 2013
This 24hours curfew means death in homes due to hunger and starvation!
This is quiet a pity, these innocent citizens doesn't really deserve this.
Can they even get food relief?

All the arrangements to crush these insurgents were made without considering the poor citizens.
The UN is busy waiting for those to try for war crimes.
Why not start with relief services, atleast food and water!
God have mercy!

Now we know you are a working body and not a waste of tax payer's money!

Too bad women are still taken advantage of all in the name of love!
Can we really make women stay of social media and networks? We all want to get modernized and be loved!
Politics › Re: Boko-Haram Members May Face War Crimes Charges – UN by Ama28(f): 10:06am On May 18, 2013
The United Nations troop need to be on ground to ascertain facts and not to base their decisions on amnesty international alone.
Left for Nigerian government we will have no one but the poor mallams to try for war crimes. We need to get facts on who sponsors who and who engineers it, not just the hit men involved.

Its good the UN is recognising that the security issues in Nigeria is not just ours alone but the world at large.
Nairaland General › Re: Tree Falls In Imo, Killing 31 & Injured 16 by Ama28(f): 9:48am On May 18, 2013
RIP to the dead. I think the social media is killing the humane side of people a lot that they make jest of news like this.
News it might be but it is still about death and we will all go down that lane.
My condolence
Politics › Re: 20 Boko-Haram Members Killed In Borno by Ama28(f): 1:11pm On May 17, 2013
My basic worry are the casualties, in how many days they have already killed 20 boko members in a state, what of the other two states, how sure are they that the dead are members?

We need accurate results provided within the context of rules of engagement!
How come am so worried over this state of emergency?
Politics › Re: Presidency Disowns Asari Dokubo's 2015 Comments by Ama28(f): 9:14pm On May 14, 2013
Let us get a written copy of Kuku's statement in the state and get Asari tried for treasonable offence, then we can buy this excuse from the presidency.

Thank God for the likes of Dino Melaye who has taken him to court!

This is a major problem in global banking! This internet is linking us all and yet isn't safe.
The earlier the gurus start building cyber walls to prptect us the users the better!
Nigerians will indeed be in this syndicate! Check the down line launders and see.
Politics › Re: State Of Emergency May Be Declared In Borno, Yobe, Others by Ama28(f): 7:42pm On May 11, 2013
So after all the killing of innocent civilians in these states, it took the president all this time to declare state of emergency?
What a demonstration of value for life and leadership!

How come there are no press release or statement by the presidency on these deaths?
I forgot, the president issues statements only to his opposition in case of political rifts!
I pity all of us waiting for a change!
Politics › Re: Dokubo Is A Private Individual - Reno Omokri by Ama28(f): 7:22pm On May 11, 2013
Wrong answer Mr Reno! You should have said Asari is still in your Oga's good book or enjoys immunity!

And I though Mr Reno Omokri was smart with his over cooked english!
Politics › Re: Reno Omokri Replies Guardian UK Piece On Jonathan's Performance by Ama28(f): 7:33pm On May 08, 2013
Nice write up and well articulated. Now Mister enough of the grammar, let's do a reality check!
How come most of your examples are at abuja!
In all your analysis, which of the good jobs of Mr President watered down to the poor? (Did I forget his fuel subsidy joke) !
How many deaths have we witnessed in Nigeria in this administration!
How long will it take your supposed peace and amnesty talk to start!
I can bet you have never used the roads recently and close your eyes to the news on the death toll on road users.
The fact that you are paid to sing does not exempt you from having a conscience.
We deserve peace and security! If the health system is so sound, why do Mr Jonathan and your likes still line up in foreign hospitals?
Politics › Re: Reps, Gov Aliyu Want Dokubo-Asari & Kuku Arrested by Ama28(f): 1:56pm On May 08, 2013
Time has come for our countrymen to sit up and start acting. The problem with our government is that Mr Jonathan has tolerated this from the Buharis' of the past and now this!

Even at that, Asari should be tried for Treason. His statement is violence rooted and calls for disunity!
Does he mean we will be wasting our time going to the polls by 2015?
Or that Nigeria belongs to him and his militants? Hence they decided who rules 160millions of us and still counting?

What is Uwazuruike still doing in detention if these guys are walking our streets?
Jungle justice indeed!
Wake up Mr Jonathan

Politics › Re: EFCC Plans Revisit On Amaechi’s N20billion Case. by Ama28(f): 6:04pm On Apr 30, 2013
I can imagine the kind of man we have as a president. Looks like his definition of corruption is witch hunt.
Anyway I am also happy that investigations are on going! This is a sure way of fighting corruption but can Mr. Jonathan be holistic about it and fish all that has embezzled our fund out?

A step in the right direction
Fashion › Re: Hilarious Picture OF Fashion Models Falling On The Runway by Ama28(f): 6:29pm On Apr 29, 2013
I pity these pretty ladies!
Am just imagining the shame, work hazards they will soon term it.
I had this experience with a friend last christmas! We went for a program and were invited to pick an award. Every dignitary was giving a standing ovation and we were walking, I heard the first crack and her step changed. It was with a speed of lightening that this lady rolled in front of me and I almost went flying as well. Dear! I felt the ground should open and swallow me. She just started crying because it was too much! Everyone was saying sorry all evening, did I forget to say she leaped all through and till date some colleagues still relive the memory!

The whole thing made us buddies but u can't catch her on anything heels!
Politics › Re: The Dirtiness That "Is" Nigeria by Ama28(f): 4:18am On Apr 29, 2013
Qelvin: that is not even the point, you should be smart enough to sniff out shaded tribalism when you see one,the dirty yoruba who brazenly calls herself Texas Cowgirl, with her dirty tiger-clawed tribal marks, black and distasteful Ijebu garri skin, and flea-infested hair implied in her post that she was going to post pictures of major dirty cities all over Nigeria...but ended up posting only decrepit parts of the South East and the North, and smartly cut out the disgusting filth in the South Western states and cities...talk of a disgusting and shapeless Yoruba biatch! little wonder ugliness is forever their trademark.
My dear, what if her post can embarrass the South East government to make a change, will you still ignore it?
The fact that we are multi-ethnic in Nigeria shouldn't be cloud our judgement!
Moreover as a Nigerian citizen she can ask for better governance in any part of the country.

We really don't share same sentiment here at all! This is the same problem with our leaders, when its time to cover vices we become unnecessarily tribalistic! When we should all call a spade a spade. Am sure you read in the media the number of kids going for exams that died on Aba high way yesterday!

Our situation in Nigeria is decaying by the day, I don't care what OP's Id is, whether texas or osisioma! This topic is sensitive and important, her personal attributes can come later
Politics › Re: The Dirtiness That "Is" Nigeria by Ama28(f): 2:56am On Apr 29, 2013
Am baffled that people are calling this lady names for uploading pictures about Aba here. That's exactly my problem with us all! How can you be accountable to the government if you are having a "cover it up" mentality! What is tribal cynicism in exposing bad governance?

This the definition of democracy
Wake up Nigerians!
Politics › Re: Respect Press Freedom: U.S. To FG by Ama28(f): 8:07pm On Apr 25, 2013
Nigeria has never been just this bad. How can any country grow without freedom of Press? Media is the only way a government can be democratic!

For a country that fights corruption, this aadministration enacts repressive law and use intimidation and censorship to make sure the citizens are not informed and journalism is a joke!

My happiness is that Nigerians are using new media to break these barriers. Mr Jonathan can only try, but Nigerians are awake!
Family › Re: When Your Child Isn't As Intelligent As You by Ama28(f): 7:18pm On Apr 23, 2013
Dear parents, I want to start by appreciating the effort and sacrifices you put up with raising these special children, it is not easy!

I will write from my experience in educational pedagogy (special education)
When you ran an intelligent test on a child, it contains two parts, the numerical and dexterity. A child scores higher on numerical ability than dexterity. A child with special needs will score higher in dexterity than the other kids!

There are children who might be at the middle of this scale when u run such test!
The thing is you are judging and measuring this children with others on the wrong scale! Remember the supposed normal children are at advantage here but if you run such test in dexterity, your child will beat the other kids!

WAY FORWARD:
Do look for a special school and enrol your kid so that you can identify and develop her dexterity.
Their kind of learning is pupil centered its a teacher to a pupil and not the reverse.
You as a parent must cultivate patience and appreciate your child all the way.

Hope I was helpful
