I appreciate everyone who makes out time to post here, especially those who has ever been rejected before, you guys are strong.
I was rejected earlier this year reason being that the VO wasn't sure I was going to leave Canada after my study.
I wrote it here though but I just stopped everything concerning my Canadian study. I applied from the UK and just came home to reapply from here but that rejection is nerve racking and I don't even know where to start. So I will keep reading previous trends here, maybe someone's story might pull me up.
Congrats to those who got!

Hello House,
I have come to share my experience, my study permit was rejected today ( don't be sad for me, God's got me). The VO said s/he think I will not leave Canada at the end of my studies.
I applied from the UK and my stay here was almost out so I guess that's why I was turned down. I will going back to Nigeria to reapply. Has anyone had this experience.
Is relocating back home enough response to this concern? I will like to know the experience of others who has gone through this.

I pray success and better news for others waiting.

Naijaforeigner:

I applied via paper route in Lodnon (July) and got a passport request after 5 weeks. Immediately I got my passport request, packed all my load and moved over to Lagos and submitted my passport for the visa stamp in Lagos.

It is the background check that takes time. Once it moves to eligibility review, you will get your response soon.

Thanks a million!

Hi guys, thanks for sharing your experience with others, reading all these really helped me.

I applied online but did my biometrics at London on 28th November and it got updated in the system on 29th November. I didn't need medical, is there any Nigeria here who applied from the UK? How long did yours take.
I have written London and Lagos office and got an automated response.

This is a sure way to kill educational system. A senior academician at that, so who will students run to if lectures with doctorate harass them . I listened to that audio, such a shame.
Even the student was luring him on, giggling and all that!

One thing came to my mind, everybody is talking about how inhuman she is to the baby, but fail to see from the view of how the maid is been treated, of course that doesn't justify her actions, like I said its inhuman, and if she's isn't treated in a bad manner and does that to the baby, she deserves to die

I do not think any child deserves such treatment even if her parents are murders or convict. The way she is being treated is not applicable at all. If the man of the house or the madam were to be treating her the way she treated that child, she should have scars all over her body
Car Talk / Re: Mechanics And The Pranks They Play On Car Owners. Share Your Experience by Ama28(f): 9:18am On Nov 23, 2014
My mechanic didn't play me but I saw him play someone eelse and since then I stay while he fix my car.
He finds it irritable but if he doesn't like my presence, he work on my car faster so I leave. My steering locked and I sent the car to him. He said my power steering is bad and he needs to change something I can't remember now and service the car. When he was going to buy the things he felt I have power steering fluid according to him and didn't add it. So when he finished fixing there was no fluid. I called someone to get me money at the mechanic, the guy said I shouldnt worry. Within 5mins I noticed he entered another car that just pulled in and took the woman's fluid! I asked him, he asked me whether I am a pastor's wife. The worse part was that he almost emptied her fluid in my car and took the rest inside his workshop. I felt so bad the whole evening knowing the man must have been doing this to me too!

There is something I want my fellow married women to understand. The girl outside did not take a vow of fidelity with you, she does not owe you and your kids to come home at night nor does she owe it to you for your marriage to work! Its the man you married.

Stop holding mistresses responsible for infidelity because your man can easily say no andd take a walk. Its my husband that I hold accountable. Carol dear, go and sit your man down! Ranting and raving on social media only shows your marriage is hitting the rock already! Funny enough you are washing his dirty linen outside and exposing him to other mistresses who hasn't noticed him.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Already Frustrated With My New Job by Ama28(f): 1:22pm On Nov 08, 2014
Op, the easiest way out of your job is to leave the job and walk. Another option will be to do it efficiently and efffectively in such a way that those engineers cannot have a fullfilled day at work without your services.
By doing this you will make yourself an assest rather than a liability. Take this opportunity to study what they do, teach yourself and be equipped.
For me I will advice you take advantage of a bad situation. I had my lecturers who trampled on me at school as colleagues under my supervision once. Don't mind their pride. But this is the most difficult way out. It all boils down to what you want, easy or hard way out. Goodluck in the decision you make

Car Talk / Re: When You Hit Or Kill Someone While Driving: What's The Right Thing To Do? by Ama28(f): 12:37pm On Oct 29, 2014
There is this crazy thing bus drivers and conductors do in ph. When they have problem with police and they can't beg their way out, they try to commit suicide by running into cars so they can be pitied. I was driving along the airport road to rumuokoro. Just in front of the rumuodomanya police station I saw this little crowd. It wasn't peeak hour so the road was so clear. I was on speed and this guy ran into my car. He lay on thee tarred and I was just a little distance away. I stepped on my break pedal but I knew I was damn late! My left is the crowd he ran out from and my right is the road divider. I faced my right and I knew one of my tires must get him. I screamed alongside everyother person but God willing my tire stopped right on his body! Thank God I didn't climb him. The police beat his blue black. I was just saved by Grace from God

It is quiet obvious that Tukur is either a BK topman or he is trying to buy himself a page in their good book so they don't disrupt the event he is planning in his rural home.

Anyway either way Mr Tukur I don't share your sentiment. No boko Haram isn't seeking justice! The death toll in the North due to their agitation is evidence unless you don't know what justice is.

Family / Re: Are You Sending Your Housemaids To School? by Ama28(f): 8:34am On Nov 04, 2013
Due to extended family system in Nigeria, we don't prosecute if you have a child in your home under your care other than your child. But it becomes an issue if this child is exploited and is made to attain to duties other than child work at home, Nigeria ratified ILO charter and we have our Child Right Act 2003.
It is illegal to employ a child to be paid as a domestic servant.

A child under your care can become your passport to prison if you do not take care. It is a crimina offence not to send any child to school.
Family / Re: Are You Sending Your Housemaids To School? by Ama28(f): 8:12am On Nov 04, 2013
Guardians who do not send their house maid to school, are only recycling poverty. The recipients are those your wonderful kids your send to montesory schools.

Children learn faster from kids than from adults.
By hitting and calling that child names, you raise your children in violent enviroment and cool enough when you go out, your children will enjoy being the victim of a seed you sow,

We had a case where the daughter of a medical doctor had kwashokor and they found out that the housemaid never gave the baby milk because she was never given hence takes the milk for the baby.
Wickedness begets wickedness!
Fill your home with love
