Crime / Re: Bank-driver Confesses To Molesting 6 Children by Ama28(f): 6:03pm On Aug 01, 2013
The fear of the likes of Yerimma had made many of these cases of child molestation go unreported in the North.
Imagine a man with 11 kids molesting a child, when this girl ends up on the street then Yerimma will use them as reference for his poetic defence about the street he live in.
We are lucky he didn't accuse the child of seducing him.

He belongs to the zoo!
Kudos to the Mother for speaking up and not covering the case in the name of sharia!
Imagine all the Mallams he has molested their kids and they didn't do anything to ensure that other kids will be safe
Crime / Re: Nurse Sets 11-year-old Girl Ablaze In Lagos For stealing meat by Ama28(f): 6:54pm On Jul 31, 2013
This is just one of the derogatory things children go through in the name of being domestic servants!
For those thinking that this might not be attainable, think twice.
We have had cases where women do worse to children who are domestic workers, the issue is that this form of child abuse can hardly be identified because these women live in high fenced homes and one won't even have access to them.

It takes events like this to expose them.
The girl deserves justice!
Child Protection Network Lagos take not!

Amaechi and Jonathan plus Patience are disgrace to South South and the word brotherhood in its ernest meaning.
I knew they could be petty but the present trend of event is disgusting and a woe to their education(for those of them that are learned)
Family / Re: Can You Attend The Marriage Of A Gay Brother Or Relative? by Ama28(f): 7:22pm On Jul 30, 2013
I will attend just to make their day special for them. The person is my relative before turning gay. It might feel awkward but they are human too.

I pity them because they will have to suppress their sexual orientation due to stigma and now national laws!

How can she go shop lifting in this modern times! I thought chics have stopped doing this! Now she has her whole life to regret that singular act of robbery!

I pray our women will learn from this, rich girls go abroad to shop lift items they might not even use. They might even end up giving it to friends as gift. Some just enjoy beating the camera and others think its their right to lift things!
Its so shameful
Bracelet of all things!

Politics / Re: Senator Ahmed Yerima Replies His Critics by Ama28(f): 2:25am On Jul 21, 2013
Diplomat001:
Those who shout #ChildNotBride , carry placards, sign petitions, I guess are sex-mongers, religious extremists, Educated illiterate, abortion promoters and people who have read so much they cannot understand simple English like those of Sen. Yerima...
"...but consummation of the marriage (litterally means sex) CAN ONLY
BE DONE when the girl becomes
physically mature and SHE GIVES HER
CONSENT to it because...."
Forget about the Senator's private matters,
How many of you fathers can boast of virgin daughters?
How many of you husbands met your wives as virgins?
How many times do you university students engage in sex weekly?
How many porn videos did you watch and practise as a kid?
How many of you girls are still virgins?
Sen. Yerimma's argument is simple
-Let her be engaged as a kid, she knows her husband
-NO sex till she grows up and consent.
-If she gets matured and dislike the marriage, dissolve it!
-Meanwhile, throughout maturity, since she's engaged, she's safe from adultery!
Now, tell me, You carrying #ChildNotBride
Do you want your daughters and sisters growing up clean or disvirgined because "she is free till 18". Think twice
Don't be stupid, SAVE the Girl Child

Jibril T. Babatunde
I Support Sen. Yerima. RE-BC if you agree

I choose to reply this because this man envision himself as very literate and those carrying placards educated illiterates.
Mr. Literate so because Yerima says the marriage should not be consummated until the child is of age then that guarantees that the husband will not consummate?
So when the man wants to, he will come to you and Yerima to consent the age right?

When is the child of age? At what age?
Now I have some questions I will also like to highlight!
Does having a virgin daughter solve a man's problem of basic amenities that your likes have denied Nigerians?
How many children do you provide scholarship for in Nigeria? Education is power right? Mr literate?

Why do we have to allow the future of that poor girl depend on an old man whose interest is in her thigh?
What is the guarantee you and your Yerima have that this marriage will not be abused by the men?
Surprisingly Yerima ignored the question of how many of his daughters he has given out but rather went gangster looking for whom to slap!
The issue at hand is this, tomorrow the North, only the North and not any other part of this country will suffer this, I remember when we were screaming at almajiri, you guys fought and protected it with your lives believing its religion, today it has given birth to Boko haram, millions of teens who has never seen the four walls of classrooms and who come to your doors smelling every sunday for alms and your crying! Now you want to send your boys to school and girls to your bedroom!
Time bomb!
I will advise you wait for the virgins on the other side and allow the girls here to be since virginity is your death trap. Maybe some of them will be 3years old and you can consummate

At least Farouk stood up in Court and defended his religion because he was sure of his Virgins waiting at the other side! Now why is Kabiru shaking? I thought he was to defend his belief till death?

Barr Chioma, you need to do a good job! The dead deserves justice as well as the living!

Kabiru Sokoto you be strong man ooo, even after the torturing you didn't sing like a bird.
Now on a serious note the SSS shouldn't torture an innocent man! He has a right to fair trial

Politics / Re: I Mistakenly Fired 7 Shots, Policeman Accused Of Killing 3 by Ama28(f): 11:13am On Jul 09, 2013
I don't know much about guns but am amazed that he had seven shots which were mistakenly fired! Don't you pull a trigger to fire the gun?
And again how come the gun was positioned to face the three guys. Ok let's look at it this way, he pointed at the first guy and shot, then turn to the second, do same thing and also do it to the third! And it was all a mistake?

Lives are involved so this officer better start saying the truth. Either he was high or actually did the killing as james bond!

Then how can you fire at civilians who are unarmed?

Religion / Re: Rude Things People Do In Church by Ama28(f): 7:03am On Jul 08, 2013
My experience was the day I went to church alone with my 14months old son. He was upset because he usually sits with his dad in church, and we took this sticky cabbie. We arrived late and the moment we entered everyone in our sit turned to the boy(all of them young ladies plus this married couple), hey cutie, fine boy and all that. I was wishing he doesn't throw tantrums, u know u can't tell people to just let the kid be until the over sabi newly married pulled his face and blew him a kiss(in church). My son turned to me and gave me a hot slap on the eye and started crying on top of his voice, next he went for my hair to pull. Everyone on the row started talking at once, some calling him abusive (but he picked that from day care) I simply took him out! That was a sunday I won't forget cos he cried throughout the service since I won't play with him (he hit me so no smiles from this face). So please this girl started it and I took the blunt!
But I haven't been to that particular parish till date!

Most people criticising her I pity, these are people that in their whole life they may never have told anyone about Jesus but they will tell the opposite or even same sex every creepy details about sinful life and sin!

Are you guys saying she can not preach because she was acting? What about Paul?
People will be moved to embrace God especially those that she is their role model.
Every medium and person should be used to ensure that salvation reaches all the earth!
For those calling her names and busy watching her tight trousers! I pity you!

Why do I feel this writer is a woman? Is it just me or does anyone else feel so?
I didn't see many characteristics of male writer in this!
I saw a whole lot of female characteristic like humility, loads of love and romance, admitting guilt and enough empathy to fill a car trunk!

The empathy was my give away character!
Health / Re: Chilean Woman Who Cries Tears Of Blood by Ama28(f): 7:46am On Jun 27, 2013
She is lucky she is not in Nigeria, her parents would have opened church for her since!
By now she would be forced to see vision and interpret dreams! Poor girl!

Or if she comes from some State in the South (I didn't call any name ooo) they would have stoned her to death because she would be tagged a witch! Then the governor will come out to make shaddy statements on the laws against witches after they must have been killed!

May God help you raise the fund! We don't raise funds where I come from

Hunting Rifles indeed! It all depends on who is hunted and who benefits from the hunting.
Foreigners now hunt with fire arms in Nigeria?

I pray the Attorney General to show these foreigners what it means to dispense justice in Nigeria. After all the wealth they have accumulated? Maybe they would have gotten more if we went to war!

This is a good move but if after the hard work of the immigration to fish these illegals out our borders are still left porous, they will come back.

The security should recruit more to man the borders. More over this will be a form of employment for may jobless Nigerian youth since our borders are many.

Kudos!
Romance / Re: Worst Thing You Ever Did To End A Relationship? by Ama28(f): 5:59pm On Jun 06, 2013
I made my brother's friend from out of town give me a ride in his BM convertible (it was latest then) past my friend's house at am hour when I knew he hangs out with his friends.
He was with like 10 of his buddies when we slowly drove past in this roofless car! My friend died a million times! All the love changed to hate
That was horrible!
Politics / Re: FG To Ban Plastic Bags, Sachet Water by Ama28(f): 4:14pm On Jun 06, 2013
This banning is a necessity I must say, am in GEF camp on this one because of the environmental hazard but like most of his policies there are no strategies to cushion the effect of this ban!

I expect the government through PPP establish paper bag producing companies and push these bags into the market before banning the available one.
The issue of pure water is something that the government need to reconsider the banning. Many Nigerians depend on it for livelihood. What about recycling the bags for further production. Our weather goes higher than 25degrees, how will the common man on the street quesnch his thirst!

The banning is wrongly timed, 7months notice is not feasible.
Elite welfare centered policy again!
Health / Re: Rivers State Has Highest HIV/AIDS Cases In Nigeria by Ama28(f): 2:07pm On Jun 04, 2013
How can she declare that Rivers have the highest prevalent rate in Nigeria without statistics? Our nationa sero-prevalence had Rivers as the 5th highest in the country. Last year CSO were busy feeding people wrong data that Rivers had higher prevalence rate then the national rate which was corrected by NACA in december!

The rate of HIV and AIDS in Rivers is high but please Rhemacare you shouldn't blow it out of proportion. Its not the highest in Nigeria, its high because the government is doing nothing! Even the counterpart funding is being ignored by the governor.
There is no CD4 count machine in Rivers State. They has like 3 before which were not maintained and they all broke down. All the ones they have ever had, none was bought by Rivers State government!
They were all donated by CDC and PEPFAR.

RIVSACA is still waiting for the government to release last year's approved budget, which has been swept under the carpet! RIVSACA is not left out as it plays its politics with the fund meant for PLWHAN,
All these and a lot more make life unbearable for those affected and infected. More especially it increases the workload of NGOs like the Rhemacare but Madam CEO, Rivers is not the highest in the country unless you are looking at negligence by the government, there Rivers is!

You should have played a better role in reducing islamic extremism in the north.
What is happening today is the aftermath of the failings on Northern leaders so Mr. Scholar you failed them too.
I just pray the North survives this in 20years time

I didn't know about HTC phones but from your responses I now have an idea.

I bought the one am using from etisalat (don't worry its not a big model)and it has served, but I pray I don't waste my money on phones.
Politics / Re: Terrorism: Mark Seeks Ban Of Almajiri System by Ama28(f): 11:10am On May 23, 2013
Many years ago when educational experts were crying about Almajiri, the Northern leaders fought against it tightly considering it their way of life.
Today its causing them embarrassment when they see these kids parading in their numbers or waiting outside their gates on sunday morning for alms.

Nigerian educational system in order to curb this made primary education compulsory yet the Northen government will not enforce it.
I strongly agree with Sen David Mark on this, almajiri should be outlawed! These kids have potentials to contribute to our national development tomorrow and moreover they deserve happy childhood just like their mates in other parts of the country.
It should be outlawed!

He could have been any Nationality. Any body exposed to extreme religious issues can act bizarre!
Imagine a Nigerian British writing me this morning to complain that Nigeria is a disgrace. I know he won't forget my words to him for a long time!

Just because you decided to serve and slave for others in exchange for comfort shouldn't warrant you to make lousy statements about brave Nigerians who stayed home to make things work not run like you!
