RomanceRe: How Can These DECENT Ladies Get Their Dream Husbands? by amadice(m): 6:03pm On May 11, 2015
bizmogul:
I have a couple of female friends who have gotten to the " age of marriage" like they say. Between the age range of 28 - 30. Now, these chics as far as I know them are not miscreants ( you know like the kongo aso girls that sleep around). I am not saying they have not done or they don't do but they are good chics. Two weeks ago, I had a discussion with one of them and she practically broke down in tears.

Why can't I get a husband? All my friends are getting married; the annoying thing is that most of these friends of mine I know how they live their dirty lives. I am just here being the good girl, going to Church and at the end of the day, I end up with a guy that doesn't appreciate me. Why are you guys like this? I am tired, she yelled emotionally!

Now, that's just one of them and the other who said she was tired of being a good girl and doing all that relationship kind of thing, she just needs to man who would come to her and just say " let's get married"... I can go on and on with their stories but I was just thinking...

There are lots of ladies out there looking for husbands and it's crazy for these because Men now take advantage of their condition. Some guys even go as far as promising them marriage just to get the cookies. Guys sha! I was wondering, is it that these chics are not doing something they ought to be doing? Is it that they don't position themselves to get the exact kind of guys that they want in their life? Or is it that they have behavioral issues or something? But so far I know, they are good people.

When ladies get to this " age of marriage" period, it seems like they put themselves under intense pressure. Like when they see their friends getting married and family and friends asking " when are you getting married?" it makes them want to jump into any man and I tell you, a brother can see through desperation somehow! I think ladies should try as much as they can not to give into this pressure, maybe they should focus on doing something else, get involved in a Church project, activities, join a group, develop themselves further and in the course of this they could find the man of their dreams.

I really don't know, but what do you think?
...economy bad Na...which guy go wan marry when his pocket dey like NEPA light...if pepper dey guys go settle down..

PoliticsRe: INEC Reschedules Assembly Poll In Eight Bayelsa Constituencies by amadice(m): 8:52am On Apr 11, 2015
macpetrus:
The Independent National Electoral Commission has postponed the State House of Assembly elections in eight of the 24 constituencies of Bayelsa State.

The state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Baritor Kpagih, said in a statement on Friday that the elections for the affected constituencies would hold on Saturday, April 18, 2015.

The affected councils are Ekeremor Constituencies 1, 2, and 3; Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituencies 1 and 2; Sagbama Constituencies 1 and 2 and Southern Ijaw Constituency 1.

Kpagih said however that the election would hold as scheduled in the rest 16 constituencies on Saturday.

Curiously, the REC was silent on the reason for the decision to postpone the election by one week.

He simply stated that the elections were shifted because of the position of stakeholders that elections should not hold ‘without full complements of the ballots papers.’

He said, “Following the stand of the stakeholders that no election should take place in the state without full complement of ballot papers, having regard to the total PVCs distributed, the state House of Assembly election slated for Saturday, the 11th of April, 2015, in Bayelsa State has been rescheduled to Saturday the 18th day of April, 2015.”

It was however revealed that the political parties and their candidates insisted on the postponement of the election because of serious discrepancies in the ballot papers for the constituencies.

It was further gathered that the number of ballot papers sent to the constituencies was inadequate.

For instance, INEC was said to have sent only 13,000 ballot papers out 27,000 to Southern Ijaw Constituency 1, thereby creating a short fall of 14,000 ballot papers for the election.

Also, only 5,000 ballot papers were available at the headquarters of the Ekeremor Constituency 3, for the election that was billed to be conducted with 15,000 ballot papers.

Already, there is mounting suspicion that there could be a covert plan to rig the election even before its conduct on Saturday.

The same situation which ignited suspicion in the various political parties was repeated in the seven affected constituencies.

PoliticsRe: INEC Rejects Governor T. A. Orji As Senator- Elect by amadice(m): 8:23am On Apr 10, 2015
Obaiyski:
Umuahia, the Abia State capital, was agog on Monday evening following information that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rejected the result being paraded by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as being that of Abia Central District.

Daily Sun gathered that Gov Theodore Orji was roundly beaten at the poll including in his polling unit, ward and local government by the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Ahamdi Emmanuel Nweke, but that PDP in connivance some Independent National Electoral (INEC) officials allegedly manipulated the result in favour of the governor.

It was also gathered that following complaints lodged at the INEC headquarters, Abuja, a three-man committee was set up to look into the allegation of result manipulation.

“Although the committee’s report has not been made public, but a source revealed the APGA candidate won the election and members are taking their findings back to the INEC headquarters.

When news of the development filtered into town, the capital city went agog with residents saying that at last, the man they voted for, would represent them in the Senate.

A prominent Umuahia chief, who hails from the same area with Gov Orji, was said to have held an elaborate party to celebrate the development.

Addressing newsmen, Chief Nweke said there was no time he had doubt about his ability to defeat Gov Orji at the poll, stating that his non-performance in office made victory easier for him.

Nweke said it was not only that he defeated Orji, but that he beat him at his (governor’s) polling unit, which, according to him, meant his kinsmen rejected him and that he also defeated the governor at the wife’s polling unit.

He said: “If I could beat the governor at his polling unit and that of his wife, all in Umuahia, which means total rejection by his kinsmen, where else could he get the votes that will make him to defeat me? Could it be from my own ward and local government? It’s impossible.

“How could people have voted for APGA and they are writing a different result? That’s why I like what INEC at the headquarters is doing; it will restore people’s confidence in the system.

“T.A Orji should emulate President Goodluck Jonathan and concede defeat so that peace will reign in the area. If President Jonathan with all the powers at his beck could concede defeat, why shouldn’t T.A Orji?” While thanking the outgoing President for his statesmanship by not allowing the blood of innocent Nigerians to be shed in the pursuit of self-satisfaction and urge for power, he called on President Jonathan to call to order one of his ministers, who he said had been using the military and other agencies of government to rig elections in the state and also intimidating opposition party members.

He also called on the chairman of INEC, Prof Attahiru Jega and other stakeholders to ensure credible polls on Saturday, alleging that they have obtained reports on the plot by the PDP to hire thugs from Abala Ibeme in Obingwa LGA and Rivers State to unleash mayhem on Abians in the nine local government areas of Ngwaland, set the famous Ariaria International Market ablaze as well as cause confusion among voters on the day of the election.

He also alleged of an ongoing thumbprinting of fake ballot papers in an undisclosed location in Ngwaland, plans to rig the election among other hidden agenda including the planned mass arrest of APGA senior officials a few days to the governorship poll.

If something like this is happening after 16years of PDP rule then I can say the north was right to vote out PDP. These people are so wicked that once they are in power they care less about those who voted them in. What is the joy in looting billions of dollars and people die of poverty and drinks same water with goats? How much will a community bore-hole cost this wicked outgoing PDP government? And some dumb Igbo guys will call GEJ their hero for been a sore election looser and accepting his loss. Will Mandela, Nkrumah or Even dictator Ghadafii sit and watch his people drink with goats?

For real? Sometimes when you think things are so bad and your situation is so worse, you suddenly have reasons to be grateful and thankful.
But this is purely the responsibility of the government and, they have failed woefully in that regards.
And before we would put the greater blame on the federal government, we should know this is purely a preserve of the government at the local level; because this is a grassroot problem and that's what they are created for. The government, their representatives both at the state and federal houses of assemby and even the state government FAILED THEM! EPIC FAIL!
Quite a shame!

My name is Tracy.I was raised up in a divided home where my dad have to take care of myself and my younger sister alone after my mother left us for another man.My dad did all he could for us to see us through life.He sacrificed everything for us.He chose not to get married again because of us.Without being told u should know wat it means for a man to raise two females alone. That was a difficult and time-consuming task if u ask me.Throughout these years my mother never surfaced. To cut d long story short,I'm now old enough to get married now,but my dad insisted I marry from his religion which we were also brought up wit.Now d problem is,my dad wants me to marry from his religion at all cost due to his position and d love he is getting from d members!I on my part tried dating a man from his religion when d pressure from him was much.He threatened to disown me and never attend my wedding if I go outside his religion. Hmmm!this is my lovely dad that I can't trade d love I have for him for anyone! This man he wants me to marry is poor,he has no education of any kind not even secondary school but I am a graduate! The man in question is 39 while im 27.The man loved me very well and I've even gone to see his family but my heart is very FAR from him I swear. Now I want ur honest opinion, will I not be an ingrate if I go against my fathers wish?I will only be happy if I'm allowed to marry d man of heart but at d same time I want my dads happiness, wat do I do?
....Ur happiness in Ur marriage is paramount...Ur dad will not live with u forever...so what will it benefit u if u make Ur dad happy and be sad tomorrow becos Ur dad will died one day...marriage is a bondage think and reason well before u choose Ur partner....divorce is bad

A friend of mine has being dating a guy for some years now. She's not an Anambrarian. She's a very lovely lady, beautiful, kind, down to earth and she loves the guy so much.

I'm worried because the guy hasn't proposed and he is from Anambra state . I don't know if he'll eventually marry her because I've heard and I've seen a lot of people from Anambra state marrying from their tribe.

I need to know why they do that even when most times it's against their wish. What's your advice for her? Don't you think that the guy may eventually leave her for an Anambra Lady?

Thanks
...u see we Igbo guys love marrying from our tribe because of either d kids culture traditions and the most important of all the woman faithfulness...where I come from its a taboo for a married woman to have and affair outside marriage... so we Igbo guys seems to trust our women more Dan other tribes...
