For the record, the school has been there for years and has always been used to train Naval personnel but it is only in the process of being converted to uni as the Naval Chief has said. It is not a Civil Institution；not meant for you and i except you are in the Nigerian Navy. Even if admissions are later open to civilian, you can’t use their certificate to work in Merchant Ships except you want to work with the Navy as one of their civilian staff with low pay. Merchant Ships and Naval Ships are diferent in design, configuration, etc.

It’s same with Air Force that is why we have two distinct Aviation Institutions in Kaduna, one for Air Force personnel and one for civilian.
