In any case, a party that have spent 16 year plundering our common wealth with nothing meaningful to show for rather than few billionaire that have stock pile dollars for their yet unborn children due have ideology. A party who ideology for fighting corruption is separating the goat from yam or the principle of stealing is not corruption of course has ideology. One interesting fact coming out of this purported strike by the oil worker union, is that most Nigerians are on the side of government. The union has once again demonstrated their selfish motive and sabotage tendencies. Whether unbunding or re-structuring the government is right on spot.

Nobody is saying the family should not be compensated, by all means give the kids scholarships and even give monetary compensation to the family, as you correctly pointed out that is done commonly in the west, when soliders or other public frigures meet an early death.
