Career / Re: How I End Up Washing People's Poo As A Graduate With 2:1 by Amaechi2023(m): 3:19pm On Jun 26, 2021
SpringofLife:
I don't know if this is the right place to post this but permit me to go ahead regardless.

How I end up washing people's poo as a graduate with 2:1.

Growing up, I used to admire graduates a lot especially the way they do things, conduct themselves and the rest. You see them living in a good house and in the morning, they dress up properly, go to work and return in the evening. Non-graduates of course used to jealous graduates a lot as it were. Fast forward to today, the table has sharply turned 360°. Now, graduates have not only been ridicule but reduced almost to nothing. Non-graduates who learnt one skill or the other are the ones kicking money bags to the bank.

Well, I finished university 3 years ago and couldn't find a job despite aggressive job hunting due to obvious reasons. Being the first in the family, the pressure was/is already much on me. The aged parents have tried within their powers thinking the best they could do for me was training me to acquire a university degree but in today's Nigeria, it's glaringly not enough.

Let me not bother you all with long story but I don't see myself continuing with this kind of life any longer because it's not what I envisaged.

According to the heading, I graduated with second class upper division which of course is a good grade considered very employable according to society standard and labour market. Despite this, I searched for job in every nook and cranny I could but to no avail. Everyday I have to eat food, rent expiring, bills piling up, parents looking up to me and younger ones who are already in school every now and then would call and ask for assistance and which I didn't have. Out of no option, I accepted an offer to work as a laundry man in a hotel for 15k/month. That's how I thought I have at least got something doing. Frankly speaking, I didn't have an in depth knowledge of the job description.

Obviously, this would be a long story but let try and shorten it. Do you know that I have drained so much from my body in the course of this work physically and health wise? Practically, I wash between15-25 bedsheets/duvets everyday as the hotel does not have washing machine....parked since it got spoilt. Consequently, my pams have developed thick skin which is now very tough, rough and scratchy.

However, the above might not just be my only anger. More annoying is that, some guests are so inhumane. Is it because you paid money to lodge in the place that's why you believe you have to do wickedness? Why I'm writing this is because of the very one that happened few days ago. Actually that wasn't the first time. It's been happening over and over before. Could you believe a guest used the hotel bedsheets and defecated on it, folded it and kept it and checked out. As a laundry man, of course it landed on me and I was the one who washed the poo off. Oh God! Like I said, that wasn't the first time although other ones only used the bedsheets to clean their buttocks (for whatever reasons because I believe tissue paper is always there) after defecating but this particular guest 'pooed' fully inside the bedsheets, folded it and dropped it for whoever to come carry it and wash. I'm not writing fiction here please. This is 100% real of what I'm going through in the supposed 15k/month job. How wicked? When toilet was there?

Moving forward, equally, I can't count the number of times I have washed menstrual blood from bedsheets. These men bring even women who are on menses to sleep with them and end up pouring menstrual blood all over the bedsheets and I would be the one to wash it. God why?

Most annoying of all is, the management pays salary on the 26th of the following month. How inhumane some people can be? In other words, I have to work 2 months to get 1 month salary or simply put, 15/2=7500. In reality, that is the salary I'm receiving as a graduate. When I picked up the job, my plan was to raise up to 50k within the shortest possible time and move to something else, but unfortunately, I don't even know what I'm doing now. I have been in the job for 6 months now with nothing to show for it. This is why I said I can't continue with the present condition. The situation is beyond the one people say 'hold unto it. At all at all, na him bad pass". This one is worst than "at all at all".

Before I end it, just a few questions. Dear Nigerians with good job, abeg where una dey see diz good job after graduation? Abeg where una dey see money do business after school? Where una dey see money chop food and live life? Me still dey very hungry as I'm typing this. Abeg na beg I beg una, make una put me on abeg. Make una be my God father/mother. I don taya for this life. I be una brother o. Help me and help the society by extension. Thank you.
Oga read the 80/20 principle and resign from that job ASAP.
I can guarantee you hunger non fit kill you for sure.. your running on massive deficits.. except of course your get something as daily pay in your job otherwise my brother resign with full mind..

Who do many of you Africans still blame the Westerners for your gross stupidity and greedily wickedness?

Check yourself from head to toe, even the phone you have, the whites made them....

Every good thing you can boast of or have accss to in this life, is from them?

Every damn black man who is great today, was made by whites......

Even the Covid vaccines you have now they gave you. You guys were busy praying while they get busy working providing solutions. All the medicines you use to treat yourself and get well when sick, all from them...

See, it's high time you black lots sit your wicked, greedy, lazy evil, selfish ass up and be useful for once.

Gay or no gay is the least of your problem as a nation.

They are not as wicked as you lots here. They will still provide aids to millions of you lazy Africans yearly.

I clearly blamed our African leaders . maybe you should read it again.

Europeans keeps using us to play chess..
the moment we begin to realize that European countries only interfere in problems for financial and economic gain the better.
no friend in political and business is what we all know but the moment we realise that there's also no friend in economic gains and growth, the better.
Sorry for those calling for foreign support to their problems. the moment you can give something tangible in return that's when your problem becomes temporarily solved. they never do something for free..

Both Soludo and Maduka have intimidating credentials.

I want Soludo to govern first, followed by Maduka.

Maduka will have to port to APGA
what is intimidating about maduka profile considering the fact that he's life is all about medicine and health also he's an amateur in politics.
what does he have in his profile that can guarantee us that he's capable of managing anambra economy despite dwindling oil price?
he may be good, but there's honestly nothing intimidating about his profile..

if your new, start from being the course rep. if you don't succeed, try entering the dept parliament. if it still persist, keep trying to join the SUG Parliament in your faculty, it would be less competitive if you can aling and make yourself the sole candidate of your department.
one thing about school politics is that early defeats gives chance to greater glory.
people mostimes are sympathetic to the candidates when they vote especially when you've lost before.
having the strong ambition is enough to modify your character politically, all you need is persistence, permutation, cash/lovely charistma and proper compromise( compromise when necessary). school politics is the best way to start your political career. after that you can move to your ward council and choose to work for free for some political elites. with time you would build a reputation and your free work would surely be rewarded when you are politically ready to lead your local govt.
from there you can repeat the same cycle in a more advance manner..

increasing international disapprovals to the escalated human right violations, constitutional breaches, clampdown on citizens, suppression of free speech and other excesses by the Buhari administration,
I don't really blame the Europeans, instead I blame my African leaders and their greedy delegates who keeps fooling themselves and keeps relying on European countries like their lives depend on it.
Trust me its only a matter of time the Europeans and western world would completely lock all our external alternatives they provide should Nigeria not agree with their foolish gay law. Humans are being killed like chickens over Nigeria and its already clear now that they have surpassed our military might and only a matter of time before we become a failed state but rather than support Nigeria security, they rather warn their citizens against Nigerians and place treaths and sanctions on us including banning us from purchase of weapons yet terrorist still has access to confisticated weapons. How hypocritical of them?.
Rubbish set of people and I hope this development continues so we can wake up to the reality of what our country is and how to develops..

Insecurities.. in this country if any governor will complaint about insecurities it should not be Elufai. Abu we all here are aware of the evil happenings in Kaduna state orchestrated by Elufai himself.

And warn him to stop killing Southern Kaduna people with the guise of bandits... we are aware of Elufai evil agenda against Kaduna South.

Evil people all over.
Ortom have all reasons to cry because even the federal government is against Benue people... we know by their actions and words....

Leave Ortomatic alone.... and don't forget the poor 20,000 workers salaries, the safety of Southern Kaduna people, rescue those Knapp secondary, primary and tertiary students, before your evil brothers Will kill them with rape and homo. Evil people....

Don't forget to warn your brothers to stay clear from Benue state.
20000 people owed a month salaries and you are wailing. how about we talk about ortom whos oweing all the state teachers over 1year plus salaries and leave elrufai thats oweing just 1 month.. seems the people of benue have turned zombie or are too broke to even protest their salary arrears.. rubbish!!!

elrufai doesnt have total control on kaduna state security, its unfortunate the security challenges hes facing already in his state which is 5* greater than what benue is facing. but in his own way hes put up security measures to curb the menance. unlike ortom whos more concerned about the media publicty rather than competence

Politics / Elrufai Presidency Vs Ortom Presidency Which Is Better? by Amaechi2023(m): 7:44am On May 14, 2021
Going by the way they handle their respective states, let's acess how el-rufai and ortom would be when given the seat of power.

Ortom reign as president.

Blames Ecowas for country's security challenges.
Blames EU for country's security challenges.
Blames America for country security challenge.
Do nothing about the security challenges of the country.
Organise massive media burial for the lost victims.
Owe workers salaries
Keep oweing workers salaries and cry to TV stations stating how Nigeria labour force is above the revenue generated.
Zero project construction.
Make it a political affairs and decamp to the rival party.
Still continue the same cycle of blame game and media sympathy.

Elrufai presidency.

Keeps taking drastic and proactive measures in tacking insecurities.
Hardly have issues on salaries.
Massive project construction ongoing.
Align with what holds the country political and economic interest.
Taking harsh but necessary decisions.

Which of these 2 are reasonable in your own opinion??

Cos I'm certain even benue citizens would choose el-rufai ahead of ortom 1million times.

There's a reason why people blame buhari for benu insecurities but blame el-rufai for kaduna insecurities.
The reason is simple, the one with even lesser security issue always appear helpless and looking for someone to blame for his failure while the other with higher security issue is always taking the challenges as it comes not minding the presidency whether he's doing something or not..

Four biggest take-always from this video

(1) Even amidst the chaos of heavy gunfire, some people can still be seen in the video casually just walking around like it's a normal day for them, appears Orlu people are either fearless or they are used to the sound of gunfights already...

(2) Those ESN guys doing the attacking seemed very organized and military-like in their operation, where are they getting their training from? it also appears they had some explosives which they used to blow something up towards the end of the video. Even after the operation, they converged back to their vehicles in a very orderly and coordinated manner like they had rehearsed the whole thing.

(3) The police armored personnel carrier that showed up to confront the gunmen knew better than to stay there for any longer than necessary, the security personnels quickly realized this fight was far beyond them and quitely made a U-turn.

(4) The guy who did the live recording is really BRAVE, the possibility of been hit by stray bullets didn't seem to faze him one bit despite been in the direct line of the whole chaos, he should be very careful next time cause stray bullet no dey look face!
ohhh na the new trend be this.
Na this one una dey copy and paste abi?

Yeah, they recruit and fill top military position, service chiefs, police IG, efcc chief, dss boss, nnpc and custom with south easterners. Infact the northern custom boss sacked was replace by south eastern boss.
while they recruit and fill the top economic position with CBN governor, Minister of petroleum and labour, minister of solid minerals including the chairman of the economic team with as osibanjo.
The north keeps generating revenue and risking it's lives while the south produce propaganda and mismanage our economy.
Sanusi reign as CBN governor vs emefiele is quite high in difference then..
