RomanceRe: Love Letters by amaechijay: 4:42pm On Sep 11, 2008
Aaaaah!

It was thrilling in those days. We safe-keep them and later read and reread them.

We even compare and contrast love-letters from different boys and laugh at the errors

I used to have a girlfriend that is a love-letter specialist. She even draws things like heart-shape whole or pierced by an arrow in her letters and she paints it with a crayon too.

It was fun then. My boyfriend writes me often then and I used to sleep off with his letters on my chest. kiss cry cheesy

l hope u don't make the student loose interest in your subject because that was exactly what happened to me when my Fine Arts teacher was after me in secondary school. l had to drop one of the subjects l excel in because of his incessant invitations to the studio and his house and unnecessary attention on my person in the class.

@ poster

Whether you believe it or not it, happens everywhere, that is witchcraft for you

It even happened in PH last months or so and the woman confessed to the hearing of people. I know a friend that was present and even videoed the incident. She said there were 3 of them and that they came in from Abuja to carry out their operation. She was being mobbed when polie intervened and took her to the station. Later on, she was taken to the hospital to treat the injuries she sustained from the mob action but alas!, she disappeared from there.

If u don't believe it, just relocate to Akwa Ibom state and you will see it happening LIVE!
EducationRe: The Nigerian Teacher/Tutor And The Cane by amaechijay: 11:33am On Jul 29, 2008
l guess caning made me a more disciplined person in school because l was sooooo very scared of it.

Even when the whole class is busy chatting, l would retire to the library or laboratories to study because l know someone somewhere inside the class is writing down the names of noise makers and there will be caning afterwards.

Just like Gamine, l was only caned during mass purnishment
RomanceRe: Are Women's Morals Loosened Easily By Alcohol? by amaechijay: 11:03am On Jul 29, 2008
@ poster

Yes, moral walls could be broken under the influence of alcohol

for instance, if a girl decided to make love with a guy after six months of dating, and then gets tipsy on one of their dates, the effect of alcohol can make her do it sooner than that. kiss

and she will start regretting it when the cloud in her is clear sad

With due respect,

I do not understand why you are taking this topic personal even if you are from a boken home.

All responses here makes sense and if u don't agree, simply say "it is not acceptable" and please, stop referring to someone's remarks as "nonsense"
CultureRe: Why Is Nigerian Society So Damn Corrupt? by amaechijay: 2:11pm On Jul 11, 2008
@ poster

With due respect,

I suggest that when next you want to post a topic, you should be more civil and avoid all these swearing and foul language.

I opine that "posting a topic" should be taking more seriously than responding to it. Cliches is accepted no doubt but not slangs especially when you are posting a topic on a serious issue as this, but it is better to use simple and correct English Language we were taught in school.

Afterall, we were colonised by Britian not America so the use of "shit" on a public forum like this is out of place

I don't know for him o. I felt that if he had no regard for my family that brought me up to his taste then there's no need to go on.

RomanceRe: Does A Broken Home Affect Future Romance? by amaechijay: 3:35pm On Jul 09, 2008
Yes it does.

I just wrote off a suitor I was considering last month because we disagree on certain terms especially on family issues : - beliefs and values. He is from a broken home. His mum had just him and then came a divorce and the dad took a second wife. My folks don't know him yet but he is already broadcasting his intention to marry me.

He wants me to do certain things without my their knoweldge e.g

- He wanted me to come and visit him in his location

- When he visited, he would wanted me to follow him outside the town to visit a friend

- He doesn't like me being open to my family about my movements etc.

I keep telling him it is a family tradition that I must let one person know my whereabouts but it pisses him off. He insists I'm an adult and free to do as I please. That my family should be able to trust my jugdement by now nd stuff. Things got to a head one day after a heated arguement and I walked out.

He does not want to understand the importance of family ties, values, beliefs and tradition
