Lovelyn451:Anioma child you said. Correct. But an average Anioma adult with good head (ishi kpakoro onu) knows that Anioma is better off in the oil rich SS than Anioma being part of the SE zone by mere creation of a state for Anioma people. An average Igbo with good head in the SE knows that Igbo also in the SS region is a strategic advantage to the Igbos. Some of you here needed to be taken to Kano under a tree for a little Talakawa boy to teach you Politics Nigeria 101. |
mancanoe:Distraction. You got it!!! This is how David Mark used promise of Apa state to win election for Senate for donkey years. Ha ha ha. |
chibnnodi:The purpose of creating states is primarily to extend development and belonging to all parts of Nigeria, not for ethnic chauvinism. Development aspect: Asaba has developed to a greater extent from being the capital of Oil rich Delta state. So is Agbor, and even many other towns in Anioma area from oil rich Delta state. But the area between Imo and Anambra states for which the Orlu state is being proposed is the most marginalised and underdeveloped in the SE zone. Because other sections of Anambra and Imo States outside the area where the Orlu state is being proposed, have always had in mind that a new state will be created in the area, hence hardly any government development infrastructures were allowed in the area of the proposed state. For example, Anambra state university was initially established in Uli by a gov of Anambra state from Uli area. But the main university was later shifted to another place because of belief that Uli would one day not be part of Anambra state. Is there any federal government institution that induce modern develooment in Ihialla, Anambra State? In Imo state, all the 4 federal government tertiary education institutions were literally forced to be in Owerri zone because of the same belief that one day, Orlu zone will not be part of Imo state. |
Lovelyn451:Consult Google. |
Lovelyn451:There are Hausa-Fulani indigenes with native homelands in Kwara, Adamawa, and in other NC and NE states. NW zone is the main zone of Hausa-Fulani. Do you create states for such Hausa-Fulani groups native outside the NW zone, to reunite them to the NW zone? There are Yorubas with native homelands in Kwara and other NC states. Do you create states for such Yorubas in order to reunite them to the SW zone? Why would Nigeria create states for Igbos native in the SS to reunite them to the SE? Doesn't make sense. The people using reuniting Igbos in Delta state with Igbos in the SE through creating Anioma State and join it to the SE, are pursuing their parochial agenda. |
If this goes through, local government areas of Imo state outside Owerri state capital shall begin to breathe a sigh of relief. Use of funds of the other local governments in Imo state to expand and modernise only the state capital has led to crumbling of the other cities in Imo State. Those cities were nearly of the same level of urban development with Owerri when Imo state was created in 1976. |
miscellaneous12:Your otherwise lengthy but innocuous comment here on 24/05/2024, the day you registered first on NL, can attract suspicions. If not, you have what could pass as good ideas. But on Imo state, you get bored by the time some people dish out photos of every road junction in Owerri while knowledgeable ones question why Owerri city is the only place with modern urban infrastructures in Imo state. |
Bragging over what most of Nigeria's population disagreed with. |
Donaldoni:Guess what makes Muslim offsprings impervious to anything not Islam. Pity the non Muslims they share one country with. |
Use of public financed helicopter to jet traditional rulers around. Tell president Tinubu to quickly start the process of Restructuring Nigerian politically, Tinubu is still waiting. One former Deputy governor of a SW state recently told Tinubu that if he did not start the process of restructure Nigeria politically before the next General election, he, Tinubu shall be a victim of the fraudulent political structure of Nigeria. |
SaiOba:Same thing APC has been doing to Rivers state. APC with a no holds barred scheeming to retain apex political leadership of Nigeria is unprecedented. APC has no iota of sense of democratic succession in political offices. |
The change is good. But political restructuring of Nigeria to True and Fiscal federalism should be uppermost in the minds of government. Even if huge amount of proceeds from crude oil and gas deposits still goes to the central government, let it be, but let the regions or zones have a respite from the present suffocating unitary government system. Arewa has adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal laws; let it become constitutional in Arewa regional constitution. Let the oil producing regions, gold producing regions, seaport regions, agricultural regions of the Middle belt, enjoy what is in their regions but contribute an agreed percentage to the central government. Let the regions or zones control their electricity, transport, education, police infrastructures. |
ADecadeAddict:I must confess, I didn't do Add Maths in high school. I did Maths 101 at the uni and passed with: 'let my people go.' But I was too good in ordinary Maths. All along, I have been struggling to solve this equation with my knowledge of ordinary Maths. Cheers. |
Orinechi:Go and read the text before commenting. |
Abuja Disco linesmen collect huge sums of money from electricity consumers to reconnect their disrupted electricity supply. Big shame. All because they see supply of electricity as favour to consumers. |
Bobloco:So National grid has not collapsed in the last two months is now an achievement? There are no lows the APC will not take Nigeria to. |
How could he have? Is he the governor of Kano State? |
immortalcrown:Vague? Is it acceptable for an absentee Court judge to give orders in a case brought before him while he was in far away US? |
DesChyko:DWINDLING INCOME AND SUBSERVIENCE TO A POLITICIAN. ---------------------------------- What happened was that with the arrival of the Internet, Wole Soyinka's books were no longer yielding him enough funds to sustain his lifestyle. Soyinka resorted to Tinubu as financier. It's common knowledge: Prof Wole Soyinka who serves Bola Ahmed Tinubu lured then Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, to join Tinubu’s alliance of APC. Rotimi Amaechi took the bait from who he saw as his revered professor and never looked back from joining Tinubu’s APC alliance. Amaechi got used and dumped thereafter. The political problems in Rivers state today is mostly rooted on Amaechi dumping the PDP that brought him to office for Tinubu/Soyinka's APC. Soyinka here, and before now, is on 2027 presidential election for reelectoon of president Tinubu. |
Racoon:[ President Bola Tinubu has in the past advocated the adoption of the old National Anthem in place of the current anthem. ] The same manner political restructuring of Nigeria is supposed to pass vruuuum in any political restructuring Conference. Military dictators from Northern Nigeria did not even consult Nigerians when they wrongfully used land mass or population figures as yardstick to proliferate 20 new federating units in one northern region but allowed only 17 new federating units for two southern regions. The 36 states and Abuja polotical structure assigned excess polotical and economic advantages to the old Northern region at the detriment of the two southern regions. Bola Ahmed Tinubu crisscrossed the SW region for more than 15 years from 1999-2014 asking for political restructuring of Nigeria. |
Wole Soyinka distracted Rotimi Amaechi from governance of Rivers State when Soyinka was sent by Tinubu to woe Amaechi to APC. Amaechi took the bait from who he saw as a Nobel Laureate. Amaechi later got used and dumped. With the arrival of the Internet, Soyinka's books were no longer yielding much returns. Soyinka took to Tinubu as benefactor. Soyinka is already on campaign for 2027 for Tinubu. He should be ignored because he is only after his pocket. |
sylve11:Sanusi is all about power to his north. He was telling the world not to believe anything from the government led by Goodluck Jonathan, even as he was serving as CBN Governor under Jonathan govt. He also floated the story of missing 50 billion Naira oil money, all to denigrate Jonathan government, and revised the figures lower on two occasions. A forensic auditor had to be called in. The fraudulent political structure of Nigeria with 20 new federating units created by northern military dictators in one northern region, but a meagre number of 17 new federating units for the two southern regions, is like an ammunition for the Sanusis of northern Nigeria to largely dictate who presides over Nigeria. A former Deputy governor of one of the SW states recently said that Tinubu may become a victim of the fraudulent political structure of Nigeria in 2027 if Tinubu failed to have the political structure issues resolved before 2027. A retired military General from the SS said about five years ago that Nigeria must be restructured either by PEACE or by FORCE. President Buhari replied that Nigeria's armed forces had been guarding Nigeria's democracy since 1999. Tinubu moved all over the lands of the SW region between 1999-2013 canvassing for political restructuring of Nigeria. |
advanceDNA:Just scratching my head for you once again. B Bracket root X squared + root X squared. Bracket root 8 squared. Square both sides of the equation. You get root X squared times 2 + root X squared times 2. That gives you 4 root X squared. The other side of the equation gives you root 64 squared. Cancel out the Square roots on both sides. You get 4X equal to 8. Therefore, X is equal to 2.
|
advanceDNA:Okay, you instructed the common Mathematics method of squaring both sides and open the bracket. Squaring root X + root X gives you root X squared. Root X squared gives you back X . Therefore root X squared is equal to root 8 squared equal to 8. Since X is equal to 4, how did 4 equal to 8?

advanceDNA:Lol. You should have introduced the question and hint that surd.. can be applied to the solution. |
uuzba:Dyslexia kwa? Lol. You wrote: √8 = √2 + √2 2.828 = 1.414 + 1.414 Nowhere in Mathematics can 1.414 + 1.414 equate to square root of 8. |
Tellmeastory:Awuuuu. I thought you would say that the Igbos depend on proceeds from mineral resources in your backyards. Rather you went to incorporate the so-called SS to feed you forever. Parasite for ever? Even you build the coastal road in the Atlantic ocean to incorporate the SS to your region, and milk the SS dry, Igbos have more than enough natural resources and manpower to forge ahead, more than your lot. The outcry over the road is on bad timing and assiciate high cost and wastage. Continue with scheming for life of parasitism on the SS while ... |
uuzba:You don't do approximations in a situation like this. Precision is required. |
uuzba:1.414 + 1.414 is not equal to square root of 2. |
uuzba:Awuuuu. 2.828 × 2.828 = 7.997... |
Treadway:And you know 2√2 certainly means √2 + √2. Root2 + Root 2 is not equal to 2 root 2. |
