UnNigerian. Is any of the couple from Niger or Mali? |
Enugu had tens of kilometers more for urban expansion, yet Enugu people mandated the last gov of Enugu state, gave the gov a sort of blanket cheque to provide or improve the inner roads of Nsukka and build other devt projects in Nsukka. The gov did just that. Abia state capital, Umuahia, is yet to expand even 1/10th of Owerri city expansion, yet Umuahia people keep calm as gov Otti revamps Aba. Primitive greed of Owerri people coupled to the bad minds of govs from Orlu and Okigwe zones since 2007 has reduced Imo state to become an affair of Owerri and its natives |
Onyejerenima:After Area R to Z, Owerri begins AA, AB, AC ..new areas for sale of lands and urban expansion. Uninformed Imo govs from Orlu zone who believe that state capital must be built to "international standard" (Rochas), or to "designers delight," (Uzodinma), follow up and use the federal allocations of the state and local govt areas of Imo to provide roads and other amenities in the new AA, AB, AC, etc. areas in Owerri. Other towns in Imo state are completely abandoned to die off. The allocations of the LGAs used by govs from Orlu zone to build only Owerri, either because the govs from Orlu zone are not from Orlu urban LGA or they have an axe to grind against some persons from Orlu urban LGA. REST OF IMO STATE SUFFER THE ABANDONEMENT. The cycle continues unended since 2007. |
If Fubara ever resigns, let him take a one way flight to Siberia. |
Rebuker:Rent Speculation. The builders speculate rents higher than in New York or in London. If nobody is coming, they live the houses unoccupied because the houses were not built with bank mortgages, but the houses were built with stolen oil revenues from the Niger delta region. Loads of the people of the three Niger delta region escape from the region because of oil pollution of their waterways and farms. Meanwhile, Abuja contributes nothing to Nigeria's coffers. When they say Nigeria is a fantastically corrupt place, they know what they mean. A country which receives oil revenues from one side of the country but spends the revenues in another side of the country, such is a fraudulent country. |
Broveens42:Amainyi village road in Ihiteuboma, Imo state is what you compare roads in Fegge Onitsha with. Are you normal or you think we are strangers to both Ihiteuboma and Onitsha? You people of Owerri in Imo state and propaganda of falsehood. The same propaganda of falsehood by you people that every govt development institution for a state must be in state capital; falsehood that a state capital (Owerri) is supposed to be built by government to Dubai level or international standards, before attention is paid by IMSG to any other place in the state. These propaganda have made Owerri dwarf the other two old cities in Imo State; and Owerri is now sending the two cities to oblivion. Owerri people are happy what they did to other parts of Imo state because Owerri people still fight for every new federal devt institution to Imo state be located in Owerri senatorial district. |
Broveens42:They are talking about Fegge Onitsha, not about Awka the capital of Anambra state. You enumerate the streets of Owerri, the only modern city in Imo state. Owerri which consumes the money that should have gone into maintenance of the infrastructures in Orlu and Okigwe areas of Imo state. If you Oweri people get conscience, you people should have become worried over why only Owerri grows in Imo state after Owerri literally seized all federal government development institutions for Imo state that induce human and economic development wherever located, and located them in Owerri before 1999, in the name of "Owerri is state capital naa.." |
Zxcvbnmghtr:What? Interpret the meaning of Ebin Kpa wa please. |
Story. Let the men of the Navy go for their fantastic monthly salaries. The politicians pay the armed forces well to help them sustain an impracticable unitary government system in a multi ethnic and multi religious country - an impossible task even a kid knows is not accomplishable. The politicians steal most of the oil revenues and use the rest to form what looks like government at three levels in Nigeria. |
Unite Nigeria's ethnic groups? It's like asking water and oil to unite. What happened the last presidential election added more spanner to the disintegration process of Nigeria. No judge asked the INEC boss: "why did you not suspended transmission of vote results and repair the so-called glitch in your transmission system, then resume transmission thereafter, instead of rubbishing the Electoral Act of 2022 made to stop use of manual transmission of vote results." |
iwaeda:To support Tinubu/Buhari alliance, you must first offload your grey matter. |
That's Buhari/Tinubu APC Alliance. Like Idi Amin who would order his treasury secretary to go and print more Ugandan currency notes each time the Secretary told Amin that Uganda was running out of steam financially. |
Who in Nigeria does not know that Peter Obi won the last presidential election in Nigeria through Tinubu, Atiku and Kwankwaso sharing the votes of their main constituencies? And who doesn't know that INEC had to disactivate the system for electronic transmission of vote results after observing that Obi was leading these three other foremost presidential contenders with a very high margin of votes? |
Firebomber:Your Julius Berger had remained a construction company for North and SW regions of Nigeria for more than 40 years until recently when gov Otti pulled Julius Berger to Abia state. Cry first over the double moral standards that rule you in Nigeria before you start to stigmatise the only real governor Abia state has had since 1999. |
t2luv1:Who the hell are you to make this conversation be Abia to Abia? If you are from Abia state but hate good things happening in Aba, fu:ck off the thread. |
Firebomber:Old and New. What is substandard in this Owerri-Orlu road by Cranemburg in Imo state? Go siddon for gutter.
|
nwadikeokey11:Men who grind axe with persons in Orlu till they die emerged as gov of Imo state since 2007, apart from Owerri seizing all govt institutions that induce human and economic development to Imo state wherever located, for location in Owerri. Owerri profited from these govs, as the govs face only provision of social amenities in Owerri, and to their villages; abandoned Orlu and Okigwe to rot. But once they leave office, what they built in their villages decay because there are very few people in their villages. In Mbano, the dual carriage road Ohakim built in his village has gone down. In Ogboko, the hometown of Rochas Okorocha, it's rotting roads and other govt buildings. Hope Uzodinma has started his own: he has closed Orlu High court that existed perhaps before he was born and built a similar High Court in his Omuma village. He has refused to get accreditation for IMSUTH in Orlu but built a mini IMSUTH in his village. He bulldozed the fireservice station in Orlu that was established when he was a school boy. He sadistically demolished a landmark solid gate in Y-junction of Orlu. He is now building dual carriage ways pass his hometown. But the day after Uzodinma leaves office, will what obtains in Ohakim and Okorocha hometowns not obtain in his Omuma? |
Taich: |
Meanwhile some residents have condemned the contract didn't go through the official bidding and approval process. Bunkum. If the road contracts were given to fraudulent contractors after bidding, perhaps reconstruction of Azikiwe Road in Aba would not have been completed by now. But nearly fifty roads the length of Azikiwe Road has been completed in six months in Aba. Methinks, Abia State government tied the loan to Cranemburg and Road reconstruction in Abia state. No need for fraudulent bidders. |
TINTINABULATION:Sahara Reporters goofed big time for this yeye report. Even a kid who goes to Aba today will support the loan, memorandum of understanding between ABSG and Access Bank is showing on ground in Aba where nearly every urban road has been reconstructed within six months. Some governors will take the N50billion and pocket them. |
The source said "the N50 billion heist called borrowing from Access Bank has no specific road mentioned to be used for it, rather by implication Craneburg Construction Company will determine how many roads will consume our N50 billion Sahara Reporters, move down to Aba and see that nearly all the internal urban roads of Aba have been reconstructed under six months. Those roads were abandoned to rot by previous governments of Abia state since 1999. |
All over the south of Nigeria, we can see the beautiful roads built by Cranemburg construction company. The company is another Julius Berger of the North. |
nwadikeokey11:One can see from this comment that you are nwafor real from Imo state. After Mbakwe, Owerri colonised Imo state through hiding in "Owerri is state capital" to STEAL all federal government development infrastructures for Imo state and got them located in Owerri. Succesive govs battle to provide relevant road infrastructures to the surging overpopulation to Owerri. Owerri people sell lands from New Owerri and now nearing boundary with Ikwerre. Owerri people never thought for one minute for what federal infrastructures to leave for Orlu and Okigwe to develop with. Owerri people still struggle till today to get federal establishments to Imo state be located in Owerri area. Reason: people of Owerri zone have no cultural, traditional and dialect relationship with people in Orlu and Okigwe senatorial zones. They are related to Ikwerre instead, that's why urban expansion of Owerri goes towards Ikwerre more than north of Imo state. |
Abagworo:If Onitsha which churns out billions of Naira from daily trade is a mess, according to you, what then is Owerri like? Despite Owerri people clutching tight to all govt establishments for Imo state for Owerri? Douglas Road Owerri from beginning to end is taken over by street traders. Nearly all the asphalted roads in Old Owerri is taken over by street traders. Orlu does not trade on the streets. Orlu is better planned as a city more than Owerri, only that wickedness at state level refused to give Orlu what is due to it as the 2nd largest urban centre in Imo state. |
We have the streets of Old Owerri paved by IMSG. We have the streets of New Owerri paved by IMSG. Abia state government paves the streets of Umuahia and Aba. Anambra State govt paves the streets of Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi etc. Enugu State government paves the streets of Enugu and Nsukka. Even Ebonyi state paves the streets of Afikpo and Abakaliki. Since the new Imo state came to be, IMSG has been paving only streets of Old and New Owerri. There were little differences in urban development levels between Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe when Imo state was created. The FRAUD going on in Imo state against Orlu and Okigwe is monumental. All because no governors have emerged from Orlu or Okigwe after 2007. |
Abagworo:I hear you. You meant Orlu is of people who trade on the streets. That's no development. Your distaste for Orlu is legendary, right from Okorocha admimistration. But Onitsha trades on the streets as well. Orlu needs it's streets paved by IMSG for trade to go well. Orlu needs Orlu-Ihialla road to do business. Orlu-Owerri road is no business route for Orlu. |
Basic123:You are a shofistiwretched parasite. Igbo has not ruled Nigeria since 1970. |
atiku4President:The north got ready for dissolution of Nigeria when far north adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal laws. It's the south who have timid and politically ill-informed people, which clutch tight to one Nigeria. |
What will state police change after all these years? Does state police stop armed herdsmen and bandits or Boko Haram from attacking the southern States? Since far Northern region embraced Sharia criminal laws and Boko Haram emerged, also fights for a Nigeria to be governed with Sharia laws, Nigeria changed and got ready for dissolution. |
Does this make any difference? Restructure Nigeria politically in a sovereign national conference, or dissolve Nigeria into more manageable countries. If none of these two is done, half of the population in Nigeria will be infested with famine before long. |
Yet, some Yaribawa write good about APC. Who did this ethnic bigotry to these people? |
