How suspected leaker of Buhari’s speech was arrested same day – Presidency

The Nigerian Presidency says the suspect who leaked the speech of President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of broadcast has been arrested.

Mr Buhari addressed Nigerians Monday evening on measures his administration is taking to tackle the Coronavirus disease.

His broadcast speech was aired at 8pm but hours before the scheduled time, a draft version – full of errors – was already in circulation on social media. The draft speech originated from WhatsApp, TODAY POLITICS learnt.

But on Thursday evening, Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman, said the person who leaked the speech was arrested same day and is currently paying for his action.

The presidential spokesman added that the device with which the suspect used in decimating the speech was trailed when technology gadgets were deployed during investigation.

In an article titled: Enemy of the state, Adesina said the intention of the suspect was to ridicule the government, cause utmost confusion in the polity, and smirk his lips in malevolent pleasure, as the government, and possibly the media handlers of the President were flagellated, and taken to the cleaners.

“That was what the hidden hostile hand did. But he forgot that in these days of technology, almost everything leaves a trail. Before the end of that evening, computer evidences had narrowed down the suspect, and he was already answering for his evil action,” the article partly read.

“If the person that leaked the unedited draft of the broadcast had access to more sensitive national documents, he would do the same thing. If he cottons on information that could sell Nigeria to the enemy, he would gladly do it. Thou art in the midst of foes, watch and pray,” Adesina added.

I love my wife but I have been hurting her for years. In fact I had make her look like a devil in the eyes of my parents and siblings. I will not hide any truth from you because right now, I am trying to find a solution on how to win my wife's heart back.

This my side chick is now pregnant with another man's. I have threatened her to abort the baby that I will forgive her and marry her, but she said am too old for her. When she and her family was collecting and spending my money, she didn't know that I am too old then.

Now am tired of fighting for someone that can never be mine. I want to face what's mine. Can you imagine that I just realised that my first born will write WAEC this year. Am so ashamed of my self. My wife has become so old and very slim. I wanted to hug her, but I don't know where to start from. It's been years we last had a physical body contact. We don't even sleep in the same room.
