U also insulted Consultant physicians claiming u know more than them, yet u want to travel to the UK were the physicians plan must be followed to the letter or u fill an incident form. Several Nigerian Lawyers have written the LCAT and other law exams and are practising successfully abroad. Law is a professional course and yes is rated higher than Nursing anywhere in the world. People leave Nursing school in Nigeria, and do just 1 year and get their BSC in the UK. Non science related People also have an acelerated 2 years program to become nurses in the US, so nursing is not a hard nut to crack. Reginia Askia once boasted of being an art student, but passing the nursing exams and now being a senior nurse in the US. Dekunle Fuji also dumped a failing music career for nursing. It's only in naija nursing runs for Donkey years.

That said. Humble urself, write ur IELTs and aim an average of 7, and a minimum of 7, write the CBT, then proceed for OSCE. Several school of nursing ladies has given up on the IELTs, so be sober and cross that not so difficult huddle. Before boasting of leaving.

Nigeria doesn't need medical doctors.
After all nobody even appreciates them.
Patients and other health workers including cleaners are fighting them.

I implore every medical doctor to gather resources and leave this country...

As far as I know, Lab scientists do not attempt to distort operations in ICUs. It is the doctors who want to control laboratory functions, not minding whether the B.Sc/MLS scientists i/c is experienced in his field or not. I have never seen where a laboratory scientist or pharmacist attempts to conduct surgical operations or diagnose a patient in the hospital.

But then again, these problems predate most of us. I have seen a lot of MBBS holders go to back to study M.Sc. Physiology, Anatomy, Pharmacology, etc., just to become Lecturers in these courses. This behavior creates problems because they force those in the field with BSc. backgrounds out of jobs. The notion is a lecturer with a BSc. Anatomy cannot lecture MBBS students, yet these students sit to receive lectures fr other faculties (same BSc).

The question is why admit people to study BSc. Anatomy when you have the Doctors to do it all?

Your illustration using a law court is not relevant. Apart from the clerk, cleaners and other informal staff, everyone is expected to have a Law degree (be it the magistrate, judge, solicitor, or lawyer). In a typical health centre however, there are different relevant departments, each carrying different entry and admission criteria. If I meet the Nursing admission criteria, why can't I attain the peak of my career in Nursing? Why should anyone be threatened by someone else's career progression?

If health centres must operate like courts, then scrap Nursing science, Pharmacy and others, so Doctors should do everything so everybody can rest.



The struggle is a Nigerian factored one where people value ego, perception and titles more than productivity and efficiency. Pay parity struggles are very ethical and all labour unions (whether petrol marketers, doctors or Johesu) have equal rights to make individual demands from the government without obstructions from other unions.

Do I need to remind you the perception of foreign trained doctors about Nigerian based doctors? Most of the problems you guys create in hospitals were instilled in you from the medical school.

When you said you'll not allow your kids study Engineering, I looked at that statement and smiled. You know why? Because you have never seem the outside world. Engineering to you is just lighting a bulb. Such a small small mind that you have.

Me, I knew I may find it difficult getting top high score in JAMB if I wrote Biology and I don't want and Bio-, Para- anything. For me, if it's not Medicine and Surgery, e no fit be like Medicine and Surgery. So I kuku took mathematics instead. And excelled at it.

I'm a practicing Engineer today and I'm happy. Tomorrow, Poly-Tech will come and follow me and be dragging space. Ifia hia!

We don’t reveal “too much” about the effort we put into doing anything— but we get it done. We don’t show a woman that we work harrrd in spare part shops before we make them fall in love with our sensual nature.

The civil war will forever be a nightmare for igbo men. It subjected igbo men to toiling hard to achieve every and anything in Nigeria, and that has really made them look desperate.

I really sympathize with igbo guys when I see them toiling so hard when men from other tribes just take things easy. The mistakes from the civil war must not be repeated— most especially for the sake of the igbos.
