Determine and unigold are examples of 3rd generation HIV testing kit. They can only detect the antibodies produced against the HIV to determine if someone has HIV or not. That's what we use mostly in Nigeria and they only test for HIV antibodies.

There is another testing kit that is 4th generation test kit and they are mostly used abroad. They can detect HIV earlier than Unigold and determine. They can detect HIV even at 10 days. Lower your pride and learn.

I didn't tell you that ELISA is used in primary health centres. I only told you to find out the difference between ELISA and PCR. 3rd generation HIV tests (like Unigold, determine) and 4th generation HIV tests (like Genscreen ultra, Vitros) all uses the ELISA principle which is entirely different from PCR (This point was to show you that 4th generation HIV tests and PCR HIV tests are not the same like you said).

5. The 4th generation antigen/antibody test and PCR HIV tests are not the same.

I have told you that. The normal HIV test strips you know tests for the antibody to HIV and the body takes about 3 weeks to develop such antibodies for most people. These are 3rd generation tests
