You see Law ehn. I am glad that I studied it, as a Lawyer you can learn anything and go into any field. A friend of mine has gone into software engineering from Law oo. She went to a Tech school and not a formal institution for it. That's the same thing that I am doing. I can be getting certifications and building my profile in the field as time progresses.

Well, I know of Lawyers delving into Cybersecurity fully.

Anyone can change career path or at best, combine it.

Many are in GRC. I didn't even want GRC at first but then I researched that from GRC you can get into Information security, GRC is not technical hence why it's easy to start from and many Lawyers go into it. If there is one thing I did very well this year was going into Tech and gaining better knowledge of it. I want to merge both fields.

But Cybersecurity/IP/Patent law is going to be huge. Esp. someone who really understands it from the technical perspective.

It takes years to be an expert. I am putting in the work now. I started the training last month. Hopefully next year I start taking certification exams but for now I am learning the theoretical aspects. It is a very promising field.

I find it very funny that someone who knows absolutely nothing about me, has the audacity to tell me how I Iive my life.

I use my PC for learning and working. I am very lazy when it comes to using a laptop but yes everything is always up to date and the more I read more on Cybersecurity I will know how to protect my data. I am used to using my phone more, so I just generally don't click on anything but this is good advice and I will research more on it.

I am currently studying Cybersecurity. Beginners level anyway, but what I read was quite chilling and is part of why I am currently studying it. I intend to merge it with law, so GRC (non-technical) and Information security (technical) are areas in Cybersecurity that I intend to specialize on in the coming years they are similar to Intellectual property Law which is an area of Law that I am interested in, it was an elective that I took in school and I have some certifications on it. What he did is part of data violation and privacy. That's scary and we need more regulatory laws in place. I hope in the future I am able to make a difference in that area.

I don't click on links on this forum. I am even skeptical about opening every thread that I see here. This is why. I don't even click on links that have been forwarded multiple times on WhatsApp etc.

I have spent close to 2 hours on this forum this is the longest that I have in a day on this forum for over a year.

He claimed a US company recruited him from Naij, settled him in the US and bought him a Range Rover.
The story was suspicious as US companies don't routinely if ever buy employees cars like Naija companies do. Exp. not a Range. Esp. not for a H1-B employee.
The month prior he was saying on this thread, he would never live in the US. A month later, he claims in the US.
It got more suspicious, when he wouldn't say exactly where he was or post any details of the US.
And for someone who spends his life in the American tread it was weird he wouldn't discuss the US.
I doubted the story, but ey.

Then a few months later he got caught trying to hack Nairalanders ip addresses, my work one specifically.
He was posting links with an embedded ip tracker.
So, let's say I did my research.
Come to find out the pics he were posting were from Surrey Canada.
Once I knew that I geolocated them.
Even the pic he claimed was his first night in the US. If you look closely enough, there is a Surrey, Canada bus stop in the pic.

And then he started posting more stuff to try to back up his claim. But everything he posted made him more the Liar.
He posted the album of pics he said he took on his first day in the US. All the pics in it were from Canada.
He posted chats talking to women, where he would be the one to say he was in the US. Even in one of those chats he claimed he left Nigeria for the US in 2021 not 2023 like he claimed in this thread.
And so on and on.
He's a bad liar.

Another person would have died of embarrassment or just disappeared.
I realized scammers don't, they just push on.

There’s a lot of misinformation that they spread.
Not only does Washington not charge personal income taxes for individuals, they also don’t charge corporate taxes. You know the same corporations they claim blue states hate. In exchange the corporations have to pay minimum wage of above $16/hr.

Meanwhile Texas is still stuck at $7.25/hr.

Obviously the states gets its money through other means, levies and fees but the summary is that it’s not as bad as you’ve heard.

I have no problem with paying taxes. As long as my standard of living improves. A part of my liberalism is the belief that government has a lot of responsibility and role to play in governance so I wouldn't mind paying taxes as long as the taxes are being used to work for the people and corporations pay higher taxes too, all for the public good.

If I were to live in the USA. I would most definitely live in Massachusetts or Maryland. Preferably Massachusetts. Both Blue states. New England is where I would find a home and that's why Massachusetts is perfect for me. I don't mind taxes at all. I just need money. Lol.

Anyway, going forward by the grace of God next year I will be here to check if that idiot was granted asylum by Orange Fraud.

Washington only pays federal and point of sales taxes. The same rate as everyone on the federal level. 6% sales taxes. We don’t have state income tax.

It does add up though if you were called to the bar in 2021. It also adds up if you are a student at the Nigerian Law school because at that time you would still be referred to as a Law student(despite being a graduate). It does add up if you were studying Law at the Nigerian Law school as a Law student before the Covid Pandemic brought to a halt in school activities until 2021 before getting called to the bar instead of the initial 2020 which was shifted by the Pandemic.

So yes it does add up. It only shows that you are a fool who is ignorant of the system.
