Imagine budaatum posting a link here saying hamas is stronger since israel attacked them after October 7th despite the destruction of gaza and hamas leaders dying like flies. His argument was now they are fighting guerrilla warfare like, isn't the reason why they thought they can attack Israel, take hostages, kill somany IDF till they beg for a deal? They miscalculated because they built one or two rat holes but for some reason budaatum thinks they are stronger now than when the city and their weapons were all intact 😂
It's sad. Palestinians have wicked leaders because a majority of them are complicit. Hamas tunnels are why they are dying.

As Amazontopaz said, it is not just a war for land, it is a religious war.
It has always been about religion. If it was about land there would have been peace.

I watch these people speak and act, I am not stupid to recognise this. Religion is a major part of this conflict.
To think that I was once misguided into seeing them as victims three years ago was a misjudgment on my part. If anything October 7th proved that they are not.

@budaatum, what do you mean by "label terrorists?"

What happened on October 7th was that not terrorism? Who claimed responsiblity for it, was iy not Hamas? What do they call Hamas fighters again? Are they not terrorists?

Refusing to see them as terrorists while feigning ignorance is you indirectly admitting that every Gazan is a terrorists. grin
Nobody can dispute the fact that Hamas terrorists are part of the casualty count, not even the most dumb Pro-Palestinian advocate.

budaatum:
Do you seriously expect Hamas to differentiate between its citizens killed and those others label terrorists?

You are much smarter than this, I want to believe.
Yes, they can do so. It is a requirement in war, the fact that they term all the dead "civilians" and know the number of dead women and children if they can distinguish that they should be able to distinguish combatants. Terming all of them civilians is wicked and an agenda meant to create a narrative and make it seem like Israel is not fighting Hamas but Gaza civilians that is disingenous because I do not want to believe that every Gazan is a terrorist. I am smart to know that.
I believe that I am smart enough to question that if you can estimate the dead and never fail to mention women and children among the casualties you can do same for the combatants who are terrorist hence my valid question and I expect you to be smart enough to know this.

So, by your definition you argue that Hamas is a terrorist group. Ok.
So, by your definition how do you argue that the Netanyahu government is not a terrorist group?
Especially when the Israeli government allows Settlers to commit violence against Palestinians.
They are terrorists too.

I am against Israeli occupation and with that said you cannot equate Hamas to settlers sha. grin
One is settling because the territory is not sovereign or a recognised state hence the incursion. If Palestinians were very serious about governing they would have become a state and exercised their sovereignty in the West bank and none of this would be happening. Even when Israel left Gaza, they left it in a good state, they elected Hamas who turned it into a wasteland.

Shapiro was right they are too battleminded to govern and that is why unfortunately they will keep suffering.

The other wants to exterminate a Jewish state that just wants to exist.

@ijebos, the two intifadas that happened who suffered the consequences? What makes you think that chanting intifada when you are not militarily superior is a good thing?
Protesters chanting intifada and glory to the resistance are idiots.

They are not resisting anything they are only angry that they are losing, how can you want to free Palestine yet at the same time chant for an intifada when it did not go well the last time and only made matters worst? That is not how you free Palestine that is how you cause it to suffer.

In regards to the article you shared, there is no mention of Netanyahu using it. I didn't see it there let me break down what "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" means.

Israel is situated between the Jordanian River and the Meditterenean sea when you use that slogan which is used by terrorists groups such as Hamas whose aim is to wipe Israel off the map because they do not believe in a two-state solution or peaceful co-existence then it means that you are a genocidal maniac who simply doesn't understand that a majority of Palestinians do not want to free Palestine but rather believe that Israel has to be gone for Palestine to exist because from the Jordanian river to the Meditterenean sea where Israel sits belongs to Palestine and that is simply not true. It was never the Arabs own and the UN partitioning of 1947 affirms this. They don't want a two-state solution. The slogan is genocidal and as long as they do not stop this pointless grievance we will all die and leave this world and Israel will still be dealing with Palestinians.

Lastly, my faith is somewhat between Christianity and Deism or inbetween and my support for Israel has nothing to do with religion. Religion doesn't interest me that much and it definitely does not influence my decision making and ideology. I don't believe that Jews are a special people or believe the Bible to be infallible. My support for Israel is the common sense position as someone who believes in liberties and democracies.

What Hamas represents is none of that, what the Palestinians support and teach their children is none of that.

The war is also a religious one too, if you think I am lying ask Palestinians and other Muslims why they refer to the casualties as matyrs, also ask them why they believe that dying while killing or trying to kill a Jew is matyrdom? read Hamas'charter Muslims hate Jews. There are wars Muslims are suffering in Yemen and Syria but no one complains about the unfortunate death count but they do care when it is the Jews in Israel doing it. cheesy
Again, incase you all don't know when Palestinians die in this war they are labelled matyrs.

Google the meaning of "matyrs" and tell me why I should not also see this war as a religious one.

You think that it was about land that made the Arabs living in Palestine team up with Hitler to exterminate the Jews? You think that it was only because of land that the Arab states attacked Israel in 1948? grin

Antisemitism was part of it, Muslims just like Christians have an antisemitism problem. If those Arabs had cared about Palestinians Egypt and Jordan would not have annexed the West bank and the Gaza strip grin and take it as their own instead they annexed it and failed to give it independence because the whole fighting had never been about land but Jew hatred, how people don't see this and read about their violent rhetoric and history is beyond me. Israel took it back when they won the war and gave it to Gazans when they left Gaza in 2005. In which after a year those people elected terrorists Hamas. If they wanted governance they wouldn't vote for terrorists who want to kill the Jews. The same Palestinians that their Arab neighbours have abandoned and embraced peace after Israel seriously dealt with them in those wars. If Palestinians had sense they would have been peace eons ago but you have dummies in the West carrying water for terrorists and want me to see these people who rejected having statehood in 1948 but were more interested in not sharing a land that never belonged to them as victims.

They are no victims, my sympathies are for the Congolese, Sudanese, Syrians and Yemenis that are going through hell.

@Ijebos

I believe that you are an intelligent fellow so what do you mean by wanting me to define terrorists i hope that you are not asking me this question to try and defend Hamas?

I am not the founder of English language but let me break it down for you according to the dictionary.

A terrorists is someone who uses unlawful means such a violence, fear and intimidation to threaten civilians in the pursuit of a political goal.
Now, in line with this definition let me tell you how Hamas are a terrorists group.

Hamas the political representative of Gaza which was founded in the 1980's has in it's earlier charter that it aims to annihilate the Jewish state, read article 7 of the charter. Wanting to exterminate a people and a nation is not just a political ideology but genocidal too.

How does Hamas go about this objective, it is very simple attacking unarmed civilians and killing them was done through violence, intimidation and fear, it is unlawful because it is not lawful to take a life without justification, what was Hamas' justification in killing civilians which included foreigners on October 7th.
Hamas' leaders live large in Gaza and use their money to buy ammunitions and weapons instead of focusing on governing.

With this very little points of mine, did I fail to convince you that these terrorists indeed fall into the category of what it means to be terrorists or need I say more?

IjeBos:
I'm a data person. I gave you a link showing the data of them being pretty accurate. If you have an issue at that point it's a bias because it's not based on any data or facts.

Let me ask you again, how do you define terrorists?
Guy did your data show the number of terrorists dead in Gaza? cheesy That is my issue and it is very valid and not based on bias. It is a rational and sensible question that will be asked after the war ends.
Did not see where I stated that releasing figures without distinguishing combatants from non-combatants is an indicator of an agenda that wants to drive a narrative that Israel started the war when infact it did not? That is what the Gaza health ministry controlled by Hamas is doing and this disingenous intention of theirs is enough to question the death data that they release. You are a data guy but you do not work for the Hamas controlled Health ministry.
In a war there are casualty figures of combatants and non combatants in this war everyone in Gaza is a woman and child including the Hamas fighters that we know the IDF is fighting against in Gaza and that is not possible, when the Gaza ministry of health begin distinguishing the dead just like how it is done in war then I will take them seriously, conflating the death toll which I still don't trust is to drive out sentiments and make it seem like it is
not a war that Hamas started but that Israel just sat down and started without provocation and we all know that it is a lie .

In fact I do read them. Mostly all the one's I think are important. I usually post the links here when I do. I also used to sit in Laurence Tribe's constitutional law class at times. Find Constitutional law very interesting.

I never said they are unintelligent, just intellectually dishonest.
Yes, you can be intelligent and support terrible positions, usually because you have a bias. Hence why I asked you about your faith. I find a lot of Hard core Israel supporters in the US do so because of their Christian faith. And I usually have a hard time discussing with them, because then it becomes a religious debate.

It's much more than half. Harvard Law school has a 15% acceptance rate. And this 15% is from people who thought they met the very rigorous standards to apply and thought they may have a chance of getting in.
What impressed by about these top law schools, most of the people there had GPA's in the 4.0 and above range, which means they worked hard, but they also had to score in the 96%-99% range in the LSAT which I think is as close to an IQ test as it gets. Pretty hard to increase your score. So it wasn't just working hard, it was also high IQ.
I believe certain people are more brilliant than others. It's just facts.

Also, my long term ex graduated from one of the two top LAW schools. I think very highly of my intelligence, but, when I hung out with her classmates I always left very impressed.

What is happening in Gaza is very terrible and it is a humanitarian crisis. Israel should also try its best to abide by international law.

However, lets not forget who caused this it was Hamas and as long as they remain in power this war wil always continue. As long as Palestinians hate Jews more than they love their children this war will never stop. The Palestinians must stop relitigating 1948 and embrace peace they will always lose against Israel. Embrace governance and reject revenge.

The death toll from Gaza never mentions the dead terrorists because the agenda is to deceive people that there are no terrorists in Gaza and that Israel is only waging a war against innocents. We all know that it is not true. There are thousands of Hamas fighters in Gaza report or their deaths.

I don't blame Israel too much because what they are doing is what any country will do. Remember the U.S reaction to 9/11. If it was the U.S. Gaza will already be a wasteland. So spare me the BS no nation that is serious about protecting its citizens will bow to terrorists.

Go take a look at the proposals. The Palestinians wouldn't have had a contiguous state and would have still been subjected to Israeli rule over their country. They were negotiating from a place of weakness.
@bold, but they have no problem starting a war that they cannot win. Why did they not accept the UN partitioning proposal in 1948 and none of these would be happening?

I'm sorry, you've jumped the shark making arguments that students from top 10 colleges are dumb and ill informed and get their information from Tik Tok. You're riding the Republican train that knowledge is gained through some form of osmosis by just sitting on your couch.
Stop talking about Republicans here and focus on the issue when you see these students carrying intifada placards and river to the see chants what is intelligent about it? Explain to me why Harvard and other ivy league students will be carrying terrorists slogans in their protest?

I've think you gotten it mistaken, Ted Cruz, Alito and Kavanaugh are brilliant
I am sorry do you read SCOTUS opinions like I do? If you do you will see how dense they are. Kavanaugh is a bad writer and speaker oh please among Republicans your qualification is unnecessary just share their terrible ideas and you get the jobs.

You have to be to get into Harvard or Yale Law School or be the editor of a law review or clerk for a Supreme Court Justice (outside of those who got the clerkship through privilege). They have just made the choice to act uninformed because it aligns with their goals. If you asked them privately, they'd probably agree that their arguments intellectually dishonest.
Oh so you admit that they act unintelligent? We are getting somewhere then. grin You can be intelligent and support terrible positions those people while supporting these terrible positions do not exercise intellect while doing it. I agree with you here and their intellectual dishonesty is why they are wicked but they are no intellectuals. Thomas is far from intelligent and so is Kavanaugh.

Thousands of people apply to those schools more than half of them rejected are also intelligent and so other factors came in, those factors are what got them in. Not just intelligence which is exactly why they come into these schools and sound dumb on TV. If entering these schools was strictly by meritocracy many of them would not get in. Who controls the Gaza ministry of Health?
You expect me to believe anything Hamas says? Do I sound like a fool to you?
When has warring sides ever been truthful about the death toll even Israel is not innocent here either for example, They announced that 1400 dead Israelis and foreigners to 1200 dead Israelis and foreigners.

The death count in war are never accurate but estimated and as we have learned from history they are revised over and over again either being reduced or increased and don't trust both sides death toll reportage.

Also why I am skeptical about the death toll from Gaza is simple, they never mention the dead terrorists but conflate all of them together and that makes no sense. Break down the estimates or get lost.

Its not going to be easy for you to convince me that land that my great grandfather inherited from his father and that my father inherited from my grandfather and willed to me was never my land because I never called it Palestine.

We grew olives on the land in question. And if you knew anything about ancient olive trees you'd know it does not fruit in the generation that planted it.

But you are going to forgive me for not labouring the point with you. Bemeruca exhausted me already with the argument you are starting all over again here and I don't have the desire to repeat myself.
If we are to go by your first sentence then the Jews have more claim to the land then. Afterall History records that Jews lived in that land and the Romans drove them out and they fled. Same way some Arabs fled after losing to Israel in 1948 that is the effects of war anyway.

Also, I have never bought the idea of just Jews owning that place but if you want to go that route then the Jews have more claim to it. (Historical facts) the Arabs migrated there from Arabia.
Same way the Europeans immigrated to the Americas but if we are to go with your argument in defence of Palestine then the Whites in Canada and the U.S. do not own those areas but the Native Americans. grin

Why I am of the opinion that Palestinians never owned that place is simple government knowledge, they never had sovereignty over it or governed the place that was why it was partitioned. In this era ownership of a country or terrority is exercised by legitimate sovereignty which the Palestinians lacked and not because my father or grand father lived there. If we are to go with your weak argument then those Yorubas telling Igbos to go back to the East are right when in fact they are wrong because no where in the constitution does it deprive any Nigerian of moving and living in anywhere or claiming possession of it there of.
