Lexusgs430: I use a 9900, and have been for over a year. It occasionally hangs, but tell me what blackberry device doesn't. Go with what your heart dictates. For added comfort buy from an outlet that would give you some form of warranty, and that should put your mind @ rest. Phone wey come out August/September last year na him u don use for over a year? @OP - ur choice o - I'm using the bold 9900 n I love it I'm not a fan of all-touch devices like d torch 3. |

Joe50: are guys advising me to switch to andriod? Don't just go wit the wind. Find a phone that suits ur purpose. That's how I define 'the best phone for u' Theyr diff considerations wen buying a phone, like: screen size, size of the phone, application store availability of physical keyboard, preference for touchscreen only, Data consumption, Messaging features, Browsing experience, battery life etc. IMO nokia has the best battery life, android has betta usabilty, u have the choice of to diff phone vendors with android OS , nokia alone runs symbian. U get good battery life from android fones If u buy d very big ones (@least datz wot the specs say). The choice is urs man. 1 Like |

I used the Nokia 6120c which I loved very much, den I tot to upgrade to an E-series fone, I chose the E75, twas more than I bargained for, had memory leak issues,I got a replacement, d new one had same problems, I loved d slider keyboard underneath though,I liked the hardware, twas the software that let me down. While I still owned it, I used a friends Sony Ericsson X10mini, can't rem if that's the exact model name, but twas a very small fone. Twas like the scales fell off my eyes, this fone that was half the price of my nokia had me excited. It runs the android OS, the interface was slick, nothing iv experienced on my nokia like ever, twas the browser that knocked my Nokia off the park. Simply, twas beautiful, user friendly browsing experience. I had frustrations browsing with the nokia browser time n time again. So there n then I opted to get off d Nokia bandwagon. After all Nokia has admitted Symbian devices are gonna stop soon, n support for it would also b dropped, so y get a symbian device? Admittedly I havnt used all em belle n Anna OS actively. I can rem the hype though wen the Nokia N8 came out, afta a short while on the nokia forum, u could hia cries, most admitted twas just a fone with a great camera, unable to compete with its contemporaries. I did opt for the bold 9900, yes its overpriced, but the browsing experience is way more than I experienced on my nokia. if I do leave blackberry, I'm gonna get a android device. No more Nokia except a Win7 device impresses me plenty. 3 Likes |
Phones / Re: How Can I Do These With My BB? by amblors(m): 6:32am On May 28, 2012 |
If u want the color on a quoted text, u have to select the color, it then brings up the color tags, something like -" (color=#000099) (/color)". Copy the quoted text inbetween the start and end color tag brackets. So to have - Eleme appear as blue, I'll do sth like dis - " (color=#000099) Eleme(/color)" Which shud yield ---- Eleme I changed the color tag brackets from [ to ( so it wuld show up in my examples, u don't have to edit them after insertion that way it won't work |

Da_b¤§§.: Ur point is mute. Who's talking abt music transfer? Most of my bluetooth operations are b/w my fone n pc n r mostly fotos, documents, no need using a cable wen I nid to transfer just one file. No point arguing dis further, if it was a valid one in the first place, njoy ur device, I like mine just d way it is. |
Phones / Re: Nigerians And Their BLACKBERRY ADDICTION!! SMH!!!! by amblors(m): 4:59pm On May 25, 2012 |
Da_b¤§§.: I knew it was gonna come to that, That's wot they always say. Yet theyr advances in bluetooth tech. I like apple, they make good devices, Theyr are a couple of uncomfy restrictions wen it comes to software. If u enjoy d device, fine for you. We all have diff tastes. |
Phones / Re: Nigerians And Their BLACKBERRY ADDICTION!! SMH!!!! by amblors(m): 7:51am On May 25, 2012 |
Da_b¤§§.: My guess is those r third party apps, Even d smallest nokia fone wit bluetooth has dat feature out of box. Anyways datz bside d point, internet in naija is poor, rim devices give u greater access @ a cheaper price than u wuld pay if ur using any oda device. |

BS. Ofcourse u made points but theyr just like 1% of ur writeup. Bb fones released last year have a good specs - RAM size n cpu speed. The boot times of olda bb fones is very unaccpetable. I admit theyr behind ios n android in terms of usability. I don't understand how I wuld use a fone n not b able to transfer files via bluetooth. (Ios) Wen talking of the nigerian environment - its beta to pay 3k for unlimited internet than 8k for 5GB for ios n android. I used to b an app junkie, not anymore, the bb suites me just fine. N yes its short of apps. I guess ur gonna tell me u use upto 1% of the apps in the android market. Connect an android phone to the net 24 like d bb n compare d batt life. The major attraction to the bb is the unlimited internet, yes somepple use it as a status device which it shudnt b. Yes its an overpriced device too. 1 Like |

The power sector is crying for sth like this, I'm def not talking of made in nigerian generators. Generators ought to be banned, so wen big man no get light for house, they'll work on the power sector *wishful thinking* . Well sum1 talked of finding volvo in Japan, Toyota is a worldwide automaker, a renowed one @ dat, I don't think other car brands are banned der, if those cars have factories there my guess is people r gonna drive em if they choose. That's beside the point anyways, the idea is good, but def not meant for the Computing Sector. |

Whether Omatek n Zinox assemble, the laptops are still sh.it . People have defended the enforcing of this for govt institutions, we're talking of cutting costs etc, how much good does it do, wen theyr more broken down laptops than functioning ones? What is their support like? Why shud u pay more for less? WHY? |
