The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele said no government has monopoly of funds and other wherewithal to create a wholesome and sustainable development.

He pointed out that his administration’s commitment towards providing a more prosperous life for the citizens of the State, had continued to receive the approval of both national and international agencies.

"NICOP programme is designed to improve the performance, growth and contribution to industry, regional trade and exports of selected value chains and to improve the climate for business at the national and regional levels, with emphasis on four selected commodities, which are tomato/chili, ginger, leather and garments.

“For us in Ogun, this project could not have been more timely. It will no doubt be a great complement and boost to our administration’s ongoing Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP) on agriculture. The ABP is designed to stimulate activities along key commodity value chain in our dear State", he said.

He revealed that plans to establish a joint development commission for the infrastructural development of border towns between Ogun and other sister States had reached an advanced stage.

BusinessLagosians Storm Lekki For Mina Ladi as Firm Opens Fashion Shop by AmeboFeeds(op):
It was a roll call of the literati and cognoscenti, and of the glitterati and paparazzi, entrepreneurs and politicians when Mina Ladi Luxury Enterprise, trading as Asooke by Mina Ladi, unveiled its luxury fashion brand in Lekki, Lagos on Saturday, February 29, 2020.

While welcoming guests to the epochal event, Lagos polymath and Chairman of the firm, Tunji Suleiman, revealed that Mina Ladi is the brainchild of Hajia Amina Ladidi Suleiman who is the Creative Director of the haute couture label. And that he helped birth it, infused quality control and assurance, and promoted the brand. According to him, “My wife has had a lifelong interest in looking elegant. Right from childhood, she had liked to dress up and be gorgeous. Whenever her parents got clothes for them kids, she would tinker with hers, attaching a bow here and stitching a pleat there. And she would otherwise tweak such that the garment would be altered when she was done. Later, she started drafting her own patterns and designing outfits and accessories for family and friends for free or next to no cost.”

Continuing, he said, “As we all know, it takes a fashion-conscious man to spot a fashionable woman. Some people have called me a dresser in my own right. So it was not abnormal for me to see the talent and to support the dream and help turn it to reality, especially as I was already an entrepreneur of many years standing, which proved to be an advantage. So we developed the model in-house and conceptualized the process early on. The realization took vision, capacity and resilience. So you can take it from me when I say that this shop is a testament to my wife’s creativity, commitment, diligence and passion, and to teamwork.”

Going on memory lane, Suleiman recollected, “Before we started out, we had agreed she would go to business school. So we had her enrolled in Richland College in Dallas, Texas, USA where she completed a certificate course in entrepreneural and business management. She also attended fashion school and master classes in Nigeria. Her training at an atelier in Dubai where she learned tambour beading and other embroidry techniques has influenced our unique designs.”

“We registered Mina Ladi Luxury Enterprise in 2018 and started production from our home in Lekki; trading on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and on the web at www.minaladiluxury.com.

“We have since been draping the wardrobes of discerning clients that can afford our garments in Nigeria, in Lagos, South-East and South-South, and in Abuja and the North, leveraging on my wife’s northern connection. And we have patrons in USA, Canada, and Europe. We have also dressed Indian couples for weddings abroad.”, Suleiman recounted.

“As everything celestial must appear or be manifested in the terrestrial for man to appreciate, it was only a matter of time before we came down to earth from cyberspace to unveil this outlet of Asooke by Mina Ladi in the Center of Excellence”, he submitted.

“Now, clients who prefer to transact business on terra firma can shop our ready-to-wear and book appointments for bespoke and fittings in Suite 17, Aaron’s Mall, Lekki 1”, the Mina Ladi Chairman added.

Before the unveiling proper, the Lekki big boy shared the brand’s vision and roadmap, saying, “Our ultimate goal is to take Mina Ladi closer to our clients everywhere and to consistently craft and deliver ready-to-wear and bespoke fashion masterpieces. In the near-term, we will focus on sustainable growth and open more stores as we go along, on the Mainland and beyond”.

Nasir Illias, representing the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN), assisted by Mrs. Ronke Edun, a leading fashion designer and MD/CEO of Bolenny Couture in Otta, Ogun State cut the ribbon to open the black- and gold-themed shop, the interior and lighting of which was designed and executed by Mr. Suleiman (who is an engineer) and admired by the guests, clients, associates, and family and friends present.

In her remarks, the Computer Scientist-turned fashion designer and Director of Creatives and Production, Hajia Suleiman, elaborated on the fabrics, patterns and computer-aided techniques used in crafting some of the unique designs on display. “Our forte is the elaborate and bespoke African wear for weddings, namings, anniversaries, memorials, and other ceremonies where the celebrant or guest desires to ‘shanawole’ and to stand out. We create luxury high fashion and make it affordable.”

She added, “We mostly utilize the Asooke weave and other local fabrics, but add foreign laces, lycra, organza and velvet. We combine colors and panels with our patterns and finish in bead and/or stone work. We also accessorize and embellish with pearls and/or petals as needed for the particular client to handcraft unique, dazzling attires; complimented by our special veils and trademark luxury hand fans without which the outfit is not complete especially for the ‘lolos’, ‘oloris’ and ‘sarauniyas’.

“Our ready-to-wear line of t-shirts, kimonos, tunics, capes, and turbans is doing well, just like the bespoke ”, the Creative Director disclosed.

The shopping session was a success. The bestsellers were the unisex Blinged Patriot T-Shirt which sold out, the turbans and turbanators for ladies and the unique tunic and cap for men - dubbed ‘TJ’s Gbarie & Gobi’ that combined the ‘alari’ Asooke fabric, Yoruba and Ghanaian styling and Hausa embroidery into an iconic garment design popularized and modeled by Mr. Suleiman - which recorded several bespoke orders.

Dignitaries that graced the event and shopped included Engr. Ayoade Lawal, an APC aspirant for the last gubernatorial election in Osun State; Mr. Ted Kpone-Tonwe, Country Manager of Red Transport, an international logistics firm; and Mrs Jennifer Ogbaide, CEO of ZIWA’s Place, a frontline interior designer in Lekki.

Others included Mrs. Zainab Okunola, CEO of Khalten Scents from Port Harcourt; Builder and Estate Developer, Mr Olaku Asupoto; and Mrs Olayinka Abiola, widow of the late MKO Abiola who prayed for business profitability and brand success for the fashion label.

The media was adequately represented with the attendance of Mr. Olawale Abideen, President of the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists (NGIJ) who led an array of journalists to the event and compered the programme. Also present were fashion photographer, James Atuegbu, reporters and cameramen from City People, Spice TV and a host of other media houses.

Freebie ‘Fascinators’ were gifted to guests for their girls who were all excited as they happily adorned the colorful hair pieces.

In closing, Hajia Amina Suleiman thanked all present for making time out of their busy schedules and in spite of the Coronavirus scare to witness the occasion. She also prayed for the safe return of all guests to their respective destinations.

It was altogether a fun-filled day with plenty to eat, drink and to take away amid pulsating music that lasted till late into the evening.

EducationStaff Union Demand Immediate Sack Of D.s.adegbero Rector Over Mal-administration by AmeboFeeds(op): 1:01pm On Feb 05, 2020
Solanke Ayomideji Taiwo

There was unrest in D.S.Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic today as the Joint Action Committee Of Unions namely Academics Staff Union Of Polytechnic (ASUP), Senior Staff Association Of Nigerian Polytechnic (SANNIP) and Non-academic Staff Union Of Educational and Associated
Institutions (NASU) called for the removal of the rector, Prof. Alfred Olufemi Fatade with immediate effect over incompetence.

According to the press statement jointly signed by chairman of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP) and Joint Action Committee of Unions (JAC) Comrade Oyefusi Adebayo Samson and Comrade Muritala A.S. "It will suffice me to start on this note that the industrial dispute at D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic has been a battle for survival of subjects who are the bonafide Stakeholders of the Polytechnic".

"Like Paulo Freire rightly put it “It Is not ideal to treat an object at the expense of the subjects and the subjects are the preference of the object”. This is referred to as the pedagogy of the oppressed.
In this situation, a case where the staff are been treated as subjects at the expense of the object (i.e Management) is totally unjust and unacceptable. Here at D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic, staff are been maltreated and yet the same Management expect them to deliver the goods that will be enjoyed solely by the object, otherwise known as Principal Officers of the Polytechnic."

"At this point first, I will like to itemize the atrocities committed by the Management of our Polytechnic which resulted into the collapse of the social welfare of the staff and invariably impacted on the educational progress of the Polytechnic". He added.

He further highlighted some of the issues that have lingered for long especially under this Management, led by Professor (Venerable) Alfred Olufemi Fatade are as follows:

Unremitted Pension Deductions Irregular, Payment of Salaries,
Deliberate Delay of Staff Promotion CONTISS 15 Migration which have been implemented in other Ogun State Owned Polytechnic a long time ago yet being denied here at D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic.
 Non Implementation of Needs Assessments
 Staff Auditing

He further revealed that other issues not captured in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) but are also germane include:
 The collapse of the school portal which makes it difficult to carry out any financial transaction and administrative requirements such as payment of fees, admission processes, checking of result,
 Inability to partake in the Ongoing Jamb Registration Exercise since our
Institution is a Jamb Accredited CBT Centre for no good reasons  Gross breach of due process.
Prior to our meeting with the Ogun State Government yesterday, 3rd February, 2020 as a result of the “Work to Rule” industrial actions embarked upon by all the Unions (Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnic (SANNIP) and Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), the State Government had earlier met with the Leadership of Unions and the Polytechnic Management to nip the crisis in the bud aftermath of the first industrial action of November 4th, 2019 where a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was duly signed by the all parties which include the Ogun State Government ably represented by the Former Special Adviser on Tertiary Education, Professor Sidi Osho (Now Hon. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology) , the Management of D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic duly represented by the Rector, Prof. (Venerable) Alfred Olufemi Fatade, the Registrar, Mr. Ogundimu Adebayo Olujinmi and the Bursar, Mr. Orobiyi Mobolaji and the Joint Action Committee of Unions (JAC) represented by all the three Chairmen of the Unions namely Comrade Oyefusi Adebayo Samson, Comrade Muritala Azeez Segun and Comrade Onifade Ayoola respectively.

However, the implementation of the MOU which the Government directed the Management of the Polytechnic to expedite action on in order to forestall reoccurrence of such industrial dispute was totally discountenanced by the Management led by Prof. (Venerable) Alfred Olufemi Fatade. The Unions through various organs made several frantic calls, appeals and even lobbied for meetings with the Management Team, all to no avail. It was this total nonchalant and recalcitrant attitude of the Management that led to the resumption of the last suspended industrial action.

It is also important to reiterate that;
1) “A Vote of No Confidence” passed on the Rector Prof. Venerable Alfred Olufemi Fatade and the Registrar Mr. Ogundimu Adebayo Olujinmi by the Congress of the three Unions in the Polytechnic on the 4th November, 2019 was vigorously reinvalidated at the congress held yesterday Monday, 3rd February, 2020.
2) The congress call for immediate resignation of the Rector Prof. (Venerable) Alfred Olufemi Fatade and the Registrar Mr. Ogundimu Adebayo Olujinmi or the duo be sacked by the State Government.
3) The congress declare her unflinching support for the administration of His Excellency Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun (MFR), the Governor of Ogun State.
4) The congress strongly believe that due to the paucity of funds in the Polytechnic cum the fact that Convocation was held last year, April, 2019, a Biannual Convocation ceremony which reputable institution even with robust Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) have sustained (FUNAAB, OOU, Federal Polytechnic Ilaro e.t.c) should be adopted here at D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic. Consequently, the congress vehemently SAY NO to Convocation ceremony as proposed by the present Management of the Polytechnic.
Our Prayers
1) That the Memorandum of Understanding agreed upon be implemented by the Government as agreed yesterday, Monday, 3rd February, 2020 within one month.
2) That the Rector Prof. (Venerable) Alfred Olufemi Fatade and the Registrar Mr. Ogundimu Adebayo Olujinmi should resign their appointment immediately or be sacked by the Government (in as much as “Vote of No Confidence” passed by the Congress in still upheld.
3) That the Government should not approve any Convocation ceremony proposed by the Management.
4) That the Government should passionately and magnanimously look into the pathetic and ugly situations of a “Once Delightsome Institution” and save our souls.

He said as a mark of honour, and our strong believe in the administration of His Excellency Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun (MFR), the Congress of Joint Action Committee of Unions (JAC) of D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic has hereby suspended the “Work to Rule” industrial action resumed yesterday, Monday, 3rd February, 2020 and has forthwith direct both staff and students to resume normal work and academic activities with immediate effect.

Finally the union chairmen submitted by appreciating the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun (MFR), the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Sidi Osho, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tertiary Education, Prof. Joseph Odemuyiwa, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Ogunleye and others too numerous to mention for their timely intervention to forestall unforeseen situations and restore peace to our campus.

PoliticsNigerians Has Inherit The Culture Of Challenging The Supreme Court If Dissatisfi by AmeboFeeds(op): 8:26am On Feb 01, 2020
The spokesman to the People's Democratic Party PDP presidential candidate in Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the last election, Chief Segun Sowunmi has reacted to the Supreme judgement of Imo State.

He said most Nigerians would have thought the proclamation of Hope Uzodinma who came fourth in the last result declared by Independent National Electoral Commission INEC was the final, but we must be thankful to people who deem it fit to challenge the Supreme court judgement and ask for a review, to let the common Nigerians understand how they arrive at adding the numbers of votes in favour of Hope Uzodinma after declaring him winner in the last gubernatorial election in Imo state.

"A judge of the American Supreme Court, Robert H Jackson, famously said of his court, “We are not final because we are infallible, but we are infallible only because we are final.” Last Friday, a five-member bench of the Supreme Court disqualified the prime minister. ... Judges are human. They make mistakes"

Imo judgement via precedence, will definitely expose three things which are:

1. Nigerians will enthrone a culture to let the Supreme Court to know people can be dissatisfied with the judgement and ask for review.

2. They will understand that an organ of the Supreme Court has been reduced by man to the bearest minimum with carelessness of the judgement applying jurisprudence in all their pronouncements, is the INEC castrated? Why are they silent on the matters of Ihedioha and Uzodinma case.

3. It will make the people to know Nigeria is going to a dangerous country where a common man will have no respect for the apex court, example is the accredited votes and the number of cancel Votes in Imo state, which require a lot of explanation by the supreme court to know how they arrived at the declaration of Hope Uzodinma the winner of Imo Guber election.

He further explained that Nigerians are watching all abnormalities happening under the Buhari of 1982-1984 who was known to be kicking against undiscipline now turned to Buhari which all sort of corruption, undiscipline, uncultured approach by his aides, abuse from the police and sisters agencies and all sort of things.

The Special Adviser (SA) to the Ogun State Governor of Political Matters, Hon. Reacting to the allegation, Hon. Adeleye said those behind the latest allegations are “merely muck-racking”. “They are out of time. These same allegations have not only been raised about three years ago, it was also dismissed by a court of "competent" jurisdiction.

Hon. Biyi Adeleye had once defeated the plaintiffs, Wasiu Taiwo Gbadebo and Onamuyiwa Isaac Olumuyiwa who filed similar petition against him and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“I am settling down to serious business of governance and have no time for the “nay-sayers”. But, for the avoidance of doubt, I attach hereby, documents concerning details of the courts’ proceedings on the matter.

House of Representatives Deputy Minority Whip, Hon. Adesegun Adekoya Abdel-Majid has condemned the arrest and detention of Hon. Shina Peller and rendering him incommunicado by seizing his telephones.

“There is nothing in our statute books which says somebody should be denied access to people, especially their lawyers even when being incarcerated. It is even worse that a Nigerian could be arrested and detained while trying to effect the bail of others without any disclosed reasons.”

Hon. Shina Peller, lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Oyo State was allegedly arrested and detained by police officers at the Maroko Police station in Lagos State whole trying to effect the nails of some guests who attended the Lagos Nite Club, Quilox owned and operated by the lawmaker.

PoliticsBill To Stop Woman Discrimination Passes First Reading - Sponsored By Adekoya by AmeboFeeds(op): 6:40am On Dec 19, 2019
Hon. Adekoya Adesegun Abdel-Majid (Lawmaker representing Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency) is the Deputy Minority Whip, House of Representatives for the 9th Assembly

A bill to end discrimination against women through the “Citizenship by Marriage” clause sponsored by the Deputy Minority Whip, Hon. Adesegun Adekoya (lawmaker representing Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency) has passed the First Reading on the floor of the Hallowed Chamber, National Assembly today, 18th December 2019.

The bill which seeks to alter the provision Chapter III of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to provide for “Citizenship by Marriage”; and for related matters is meant to allow women in Nigeria share their citizens status with their spouses by virtue of their marriages.

According to the Deputy Minority Whip, “It is discriminatory against women because our Constitution is absolutely silent on matters as sensitive as this. If a Nigerian man marries a foreigner, by virtue of the marriage, the woman (although not born in Nigeria and not of Nigerian parentage) can easily apply for Nigerian citizenship on account of that marriage. But in reverse if a Nigerian woman is married to a male foreigner, the status of that Nigerian woman is presumed inadequate or insufficient to grant citizenship right to that male spouse, and our constitution is wickedly silent on this.

“That is why I have taken it upon myself to remove this veiled and silent discriminatory oversight in our constitution. If it were possible to earn Nigerian citizenship through marriage it should be across board through both genders.”

When finally passed into law, Honourable Adekoya’s bill will “alter Chapter III of the Principal Act by inserting a new Section 28 as set out below;

“28-(1) Subject to the provisions of Section 28 of this Constitution, any person who is qualified in accordance with the provisions of this section may apply to the President for the grant of a certificate of citizenship by marriage.

(2) no person shall be qualified to apply for the grant of certificate of citizenship by marriage unless he satisfies the President that he is a spouse to a Nigerian. (Whether male or female)

PoliticsDapo Abiodun: Setting The Records Straight - Sowunmi by AmeboFeeds(op): 1:08am On Dec 02, 2019
Segun Showunmi

When the all-inclusive, now clearly cosmetic, slow to settle, uninspiring administration of HE Dapo Abiodun started, I had suspected that the idea was, perhaps, to cage all potentially divergent opinions and strong voices in Ogun. I have now become satisfactorily convinced that an awkward situation of catastrophic proportion is before all lovers of our dear state.

I had penned a harmless note to encourage Mr. Governor and his bootlickers on the need to inject some speed to governance in his own interest, in the interest of our dear state and her good people. I thought that as concerned indigenes, we owed him the duty of waking him up from slumber, and pointing his attention to the fact that, while his colleagues were busy settling down to their jobs like they would hand over tomorrow, he started out on a needless Thanksgiving parade, going from one church to the other, giving testimonies, from Redeemed, to Deeper Life, to London, not leaving out all other small altars.

After three months, I thought that the 100 days mark had been missed, but felt that, perhaps, our Governor needed more time to convince right thinking Ogun indigenes that he was up to the task. I watched and listened to numerous people, mostly within his all-inclusive joke, complain and throw their hands in the air in utter disgust for what had befallen them, in terms of what has now unfolded to be an ill-thought-out scam that seems to hold no real promise after six months.

I reasoned that before he would get stuck on one spot, even before taking the very first important step, it was a patriotic duty to admonish and encourage stakeholders to step in and aid him where necessary. To this end, I compared his activities in the first six months, to those of three former governors. I'm not surprised that sycophants who clearly have refused to see beyond their noses, while scrambling for whatever crumbs would fall from the coalition table, did not claim that the Dapo Abiodun government had performed better than the Olusegun Osoba administration, nor had they the guts to claim they had a chance of comparing themselves to Daniel.

I, however, notice that the shameless lot picked on their immediate successor in the most careless and unstrategic manner, forgetting that Senator Ibikunle Amosun governed Ogun State on the platform of the same APC that gave birth to the Dapo Abiodun government. Well, this shows the kind of thinking caps the narrative managers of the current Governor have on their heads. This already explains why, rather than face governance, they place unnecessary, difficult-to-manage burdens on themselves without a clear direction of governance.

Was I in Amosun’s government that I would tell a lie as to what we observed? I repeat with every sense of seriousness that, within the period under review, Amosun had performed far far better than Dapo Abiodun. Just take the bios of Amosun's commissioners, and you would agree that he was prepared for governance long before he won the election, with his ability to get such good hands to work with in record time, without having to hire an unending list of strange bed fellows to engage in a fruitless moonlight dance without drums.

I ask again, in spite of the list of phony achievements released by his handlers, what exactly is delaying Dapo Abiodun? Or would he want Nigerians to believe he inherited a state of things different from the usual in this clime? Did our Governor inherit the security crisis in Zamfara? Even Governor Mattawalle has since settled down to real business. Or has he forgotten that 'Constituted Authority' in Ibadan did not exactly leave Seyi Makinde with a perfect system? Just to remind them, Oyo State indigenes, and Nigerians at large, are the ones giving their appreciation of Makinde's approach to governance. So, when did our dear Ogun State become this rudderless?

Mr. Governor claims he created a job portal. This is sickening. Come on, that cannot, with due respect, be listed as an achievement in Ogun. To borrow Ibikunle Amosun's slogan, this is below our Ogun standard.

He claims he is renovating a block per school. Is that not silly? Systemic thinking would have suggested that you finish a few schools before going to others. In case the incompetent fellows do not know how to score good points here, I would recommend the model used by Rauf Aregbesola in Osun; that is if they are not too proud to learn.

He claims he is sharing money under some dubious arrangements termed okowo Dapo. He might please do himself a favour and ask OGD how the model of cooperative and community development was done; and I would particularly encourage him to ask about the matching grant scheme, so that he would stop irritating us, the good people of Ogun State, with laughable claims of achievements that are in no way near the 'A' standards we are used to.

He claims he bought cars for the Police. The last time I checked, the profiteering venture has been lying waste on the grounds of the arcades for months. It will be news if he has delivered them to the Police. Even a Simpleton knows the kind of financial pressure that may tempt the Governor to run a "me and my cronies" government for a few months. But running this kind of government for six months? It is definitely unacceptable to any freeborn Ogun indigene, not minding those waiting on his never coming appointments.

He claims he has been given numerous awards. Well, good luck to him and those awarding him for non-peformance. As far as we can see, everything has virtually come to a standstill since Amosun left office as Governor. With the kindergarten steps taken so far by his administration, Dapo Abiodun has almost made a magician out of Amosun because of what appears as his crass incompetence.

As for my note to Ogun Stakeholders, I believe the message is very clear. Governance must be engaged and questions must be asked. One thousand Dapo Abioduns and his lickspittles can never silence the critical voices in Ogun State.

On this note, I would say: see you in another three months. At least, by then, Mr. Governor, it would have been nine months of your government. Let's hope the situation would have changed. But just in case you find out that you do not have the capacity to administer a state as sophisticated as Ogun, it would not be too late to throw in the towel. We will use the doctrine of necessity to swear in either your deputy governor or the Speaker. I trust that Oluomo will be far more purposeful than this joke going on in Ogun under the watch of HE Dapo Abiodun.

PoliticsSegun Showunmi Criticizes Dapo Abiodun's Government In Open Letter by AmeboFeeds(op): 5:41pm On Nov 30, 2019
Ever conscious leaders and citizens of our beloved Ogun State, I greet you all. I trust that you all must be concerned about the development of our beloved state just as I am.

The activities in our common patrimony demands of us the need to speak out, in the hope that things will be corrected; and in the unlikely event of that not happening, at least, it will be on record that we spoke.

It is about the peer review of our Governor, HE Dapo Abiodun, relative to his handling of affairs in the last six months since he mounted the saddle of authority in Ogun State.

To make things less cumbersome, I will speak under thematic headings and make comparisons with the past governors and also with a few good ones in this present class. For the past, I will be limiting the comparison to HE Olusegun Osoba, HE Gbenga Daniel, and HE Ibikunle Amosun.
For those on the saddle right now, I will limit myself to HE Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and HE Bello Mattawalle of Zamfara.

Areas to be reviewed:
1. General perception of capacity in office
2. Stabilisation of governance
3. Quick-wins
4. Recommendations going forward.

I make bold to say that in terms of the general perception of capacity, there is no gainsaying that Ogun has never had it so disappointing. I refresh your minds to how it was in the class of 1999 when Chief Olusegun Osoba was the leader, not only in the South West, but was also revered by many Nigerians as one who moved with clarity. You may need to remember how often his voice was heard, not just on Ogun State issues but also on the issues around the progressives in Nigeria.

Within six months, it was already clear that the Osoba government would take development to the fringes of the state and that the rural areas would get connected with activities. His Commissioner for Works, Segun Adesegun, had settled in office, and his office had become a beehive. At about the same time of six months, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, during his time, had become the wonder boy in government and project development. The entire country knew that something was up in Ogun State. Computerisation of the civil service had commenced. Also, structures and projects were already commissioned. Need I say that Daniel's pace of work was, till then, unmatched in our country. Ogun State was in the news for all the right reasons.

Senator Ibikunle Amosun had, undoubtedly, within the period under review, showed his hand firmly around his strength in road constructions. He had opened up the Ogun State economy for the influx of private sector investors in a way that had not been done before. It is on record that the former President Goodluck Jonathan administration opened more industries in Ogun State than any other state in the country. And needless to say that there was a purposefulness that brought skilled Ogun indigenes in the private sector on board. He had also commenced without delay the review of the Daniel administration. He proved that government is a sacred trust that must be reviewed and accounted for. In six months, the Amosun administration had the full structures of government in place.

Moving on to the present administration, with the activities of HE Dapo Abiodun, perhaps it may seem that he is up to something. But what is with this winking in the dark? What are his handlers doing relative to what we are used to in Ogun State? The continuous statements about public-private partnerships seem to me that the Abiodun government has no clear agenda of its own. And in case it does, it is going about things in a rather snail slow speed, which suggests a lack of preparedness. And to think his government put together such a large committee with a few good names to look at things is baffling to a patriotic citizen and lover of Ogun State.

Compare HE Dapo Abiodun to HE Seyi Makinde and tell me you are not concerned. I have no recollection at any time in this republic that commenced in 1999 that the people of Oyo State ever outpaced us in Ogun; not Lam Adesina, not Ladoja, not Akala, and certainly not Ajimobi. But can we say not Makinde? To say that will be to leave ourselves open to the butt of jokes. HE Abiodun has zero excuses for he has almost everyone, perhaps with the exception of HE Amosun, available to offer insight and suggestions. In our Yoruba proverb: Omo to ba ma je Asamu, kekere lo ti ma senu samu samu. ('The morning tells the day' , or 'make hay while the sun shines').

2. Stabilisation of Government
Is it not strange that Ogun State has not put Commissioners in place and populated its statutory commissions and boards? Ogun has never had it so late. There is no excuse nor justification for this. What is not being considered is that not having full structures of governance in place, limits the ideas and energy that the government has to draw from. How can we watch the previously slow Federal Government put its cabinet in place, yet our beloved Ogun State, under HE Dapo Abiodun, will now be grouped alongside states that do not get settled in time to work?

There is the suspicion that those who do not form their cabinets on time are people who desire to run the resources of the state with their cronies, and without input from a cabinet. Whatever be the excuse, it is clear that on this score, one would have to wonder what has become of us. All our neighbours, Lagos and Oyo states, have their cabinets in place, why not Ogun? I am sure his party faithful and supporters are at a loss as to the real reason behind the delay.

3 Quick-Wins
Anyone who desires to govern the people must know that humans are animals of short attention spans, and they tend to make up their minds quickly. As such, the champions of each era must understand that people want to see the direction and benefit of development immediately. Again, take a look at Oyo State and take a look at Zamfara and do a media audit of how those governors are perceived; then compare your audit findings with the situation in Ogun State. You will most likely return with the verdict that HE Dapo Abiodun needs to be worried.

The words on the streets of Ogun State are not favourable. Average opinion is that the Governor has taken on a responsibility that he is not prepared for. I find that extremely hard to accept for I recall his desire to be governor as far back as the 2001/2002 season. I am more persuaded to think that the challenge might be Abiodun's lack of team spirit - a case where someone courts everybody but really does not desire to work with anybody. I doubt that between Osoba, Daniel, Team Lagos, Isiaka, Team Yayi and the numerous blocks that are in his largely needless humongous coalition, what we have seen in six months is the best that is possible. So much more is expected and so much more must be done.

Recommendation
HE Abiodun needs to review things comprehensively and remember that the class of 2019 governors are going to be under unprecedented pressure. This is because from what I sense, the 2023 race may start way too early, that is if it has not begun already, with all the rumoured ambitions for presidency coming from the stable of the ruling APC. The early start to 2023 elections will take its toll on governance, and, therefore, if the Governor is not careful, he may go down as the worst person to govern Ogun State and what exactly is to be gained from that? Nothing. When our elected representatives perform, they perform for all of us, but when they fail, oh la la, they fail in their names and with enormous consequences. HE Dapo Abiodun has no reason to fail, and he must be encouraged not to.

PoliticsGod Has Its Own Right Time For Compensating The Rejected Rock - Rotimi Makinde by AmeboFeeds(op): 9:09pm On Nov 12, 2019
I do not need any seer to tell me how this post will attract traffic and to what extent it will receive bashing from those who never see beyond their nose and especially from my very constituents who just dislike individuals that will be mentioned, for nothing but to hatred. But as an individual, I am not bothered, I can not jettison my interests in writing, apocryphal, motivational and philosophical messages and facts as it comes from my maker, for the few haters.

Through feedbacks, I know a lot of people from all sphere of life, most especially from outside Ile- Ife, (which still remain my primary constituency) still value my opinion and look forward to my write ups or comment about pressing world, national, or local issues. This category of people that holds me in high esteem will not ignore the blessing and the dribbles of wisdom I intermittently dispense.

I am quick to state the above, because I read with amusement of how a certain Mr Demola Ogunfidodo, a brother and who has earned my respect overtime and I have come to trust most of his submission (if not all), with some other eminent personalities like respected Pastor Niyi Murele and a great critics Mr Wale Odutoye embarked on a fact finding mission, I guessed these respected sons of Ife usually base their findings on fact and they later came back to deliver to us what they have found out about Senator Iyiola Omisore. His interactions with him on his recent visit to the United Kingdom Otunba Iyiola Omisore helped Ogunfidodo submission based on facts.

He came publicly to give us the gist and I guess lets not forget in a hurry how he was bashed left and right mostly by our own people, his crime was just what i am about to commit and i guess mine may even be worse for I have just come to terms on same subject and best time to state the objective is now and not when anyone will think am bootlicking or seeking for something. Like my father Alhaji Niniola Makinde always says “only God can make someone, somebody” or say the negatives only when we have reason to seek no more because of a lucid interval as evidenced by the cream of his critics of recent.
Ile-Ife, our dear community must come to understand the need to build love from home and to jettison the syndrome of pull him down or the politics of hate. We must begin to take stocks of our love treasuries and learn to solidify our energies to build empires around our best sons.

Over the years, we are guilty of not weighing such implications for we failed to think as one united family that we are. The recent happening in the political arena of the nation and indeed Osun State has made it clear on the importance of what it meant to be bound together by duty, by respect, love and by belonging. I have learnt that no sensible development can occur in a community devoid of the above. I also do not need to re-emphasised the need for us as a people to respect the elders in our society.

Respecting Elders or leaders is of extreme important. Respecting elders is important, the status comes with a lot of experience, they have more experience than younger people and we should be able to share their wisdom with others. The elderly need our support which of course they must reciprocate and this we must begin to accord our people in such a way as we now begin to kill all those negatives perspective we already have as a kingdom with our pride as the direct son of Oduduwa and that our enviable reputation as the origin of Yorubaland and teaching respect makes young people to be more likely to help. Respect for the elderly is common in many cultures and no doubt we are that cultural ambassadors, we are known to be exporting or selling culture, yet murdering the same exodus spirit with our pull him down syndrome..... It must stop.!!!

In most cases,we often strongly dislike something without knowing the facts, or by using false information about someone and this is mostly the case in our dear community of Ile-Ife. I am not really sure if these haters of the foremost, the immediate past and the present Ooni are not of Ife origins, didn’t they originate from one of the prestigious Akodi’s? But I am sure about my archived experiences as a politician, in all the elections that I had the privilege to have contested in, I had never lost to any candidate in the all 27 wards of the Oyo speaking people of our Ife federal constituency, but I lost in the 15 wards of Ife, the city I love most and for which I was born, I’ll never cease to say or believe it, “I WAS BORN BECAUSE OF ILE-IFE”. Just today, I read a beautiful piece about Otunba Iyiola Omisore which I came across while navigating on the positive trending news about my own person Hon Bimbo Ajilesoro and his mission to banish ignorance in our society.

A peep into this well connected brother of us brought me face to face to why we should begin charity at home and to stop this myopic idea of hating each other and using derogatory words to tarnish each others on social media platforms.

Ife first, IFE Agenda, Ife Legacy can not triumph unless we begin to repackage and support our great assets. These assets of ours that we have and this includes our very own "Ajani Ogun" Otunba Iyiola Omisore, Sen Babajide Omoworare and by extension Hon Taofeek Ajilesoro and maybe, just maybe my humble self, and a host of upcoming leaders.
To most people, Senator Iyiola Omisore, a former deputy governor of Osun State, is regarded only as just a politician. It will, however, be preposterous to assume that he has no other life outside of politics, what many do not know about this Ife, Osun State- born Prince is that, before he ventured into politics, he had been a successful businessman, whose story will inspire anyone planning to go into business.

Having worked with prestigious companies like Drake and Gordham in the UK, where he rose to top management position. He has also single handedly established engineering firms; Mechelec Consultants- an Engineering Consultancy outfit and Chrisore Eng Ltd – an Electrical Engineering firm. In other words, his wealth of experience as a businessman and owner of a corporate body, where he has had to manage both human and material resources, and it is no secret his leadership quality as a politician of repute.

Right from his early life, he had demonstrated very rare qualities, which not only set him apart from his peers but prepared him for community leaderschip and services.
When an outsider, a non Ife can submit all these on our dear Senator Omisore, why can't we borrow ourselves the much needed common sense and begin to celebrate our own..
"Not many are aware that the well- loved man holds a Ph.D in Infrastructure Finance from the International School of Management, Paris, France.

My appraishal of senator Omisore is not based on our path to the same political court yard which I have always say its beyond human comprehension, neither am I advocating for him, but life is an ephemeral and it was first used by our fore father and Ife elders; Aye pe meji, it was then; that life is two, now it is Ayepegba.

As part of my research to remove the stumble of pulling him down syndrome in Ile-Ife, politically & traditionally, I discovered, countless of hypothesis, but, I will draw our attention to a particular area. Is any of us ever take cognizance or realize that the appellation embbed upon us ; Ile-Ife ibi ojumo ti Mo wa, ( as Ile-Ife where the dawn began) is never a modulation modulated by the recent generations, but, originated by those who served our great grand father, because of the way our fathers position themselves over them, but today, we had shown to them that the red insignia on our cock is a consumeable meat. The way our grand fathers hire great grand father of many tribes as laborers, this will never be out of the mind of certain tribes, they are aware of the pride history we inherited and that our own assign portion of land to their own father.

To start a generational change, it has to begin by extending love to ourselves first and then to this settlers. My assertion here is that, there exist many enemies within our corridor, yet we never learn from many unimaginable things that has happened to Ile-Ife, do you all remember how we lost the state capital to Oshogbo? Let's come back and unite as one, if the children of the same parents, never cross the same path to success, which means, we can never get all good things to Ile - Ife through the same political party. Who among us is well qualified than the man I am here telling us to speak no further evil of? You either accept it or not, Senator Iyiola Christopher Omisore is a misjudged personality.

Let's us begin to see ourselves as one, no matter the political affiliation.
Senator Omisore movement to another political party is never a yard stick to measure his love to Ile -Ife but rather his enviable profiles, pedigrees more as a core ife and not those minuses which we all have as a creature

PoliticsReps Deputy Minority Whip Surprises His Constituents With Open-stalls by AmeboFeeds(op): 2:24pm On Oct 15, 2019
Honorable Abdel-Majid Adesegun Adekoya, Deputy Minority Whip, House of Representatives
It was a bloom day for the constituents and market men and women of Dagbolu and Atikori/Ojowo, Ijebu Igbo as the Deputy Minority Leader of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Adesegun Abdel-Majid Adekoya (Attacker) commissioned 20 open-market stalls separately at Dagbolu and Atikori/Ojowo ancient markets of Ijebu-Igbo, Ijebu North Local Government for the use of the good traders of the city.

The two ancient markets are prominent among old markets of the old western region of Nigeria.

Attacker as fondly called, indulged the market chiefs to look inward and ensure that the stalls are allocated to deserving marketers.

In reaction, Chief Olusegun Ogunyemi and Chief Ishola Aronmo assured the facilitator and marketers of proper allocation and pleaded for more; being an Oliver twist.

The quest for more became necessary because of the vision of the facilitator to rebrand all ancient markets in his constituency to meet modern standard as currently embarked upon by him.

Chief Tuke Motara, the Iyaloja of Atikori/Ojowo on behalf of the management and fellow traders expressed satisfactions as the promised made during electioneering campaigns are being fulfilled.

She enjoined all traders to be prepared for more patronage as the rural rehabilitation of roads linked to the markets will be open before the end of the first quarter of 2020.

PoliticsAbiodun Is Coming With Full Force To Develop Ogun- LG Chairmanship Aspirant, Olu by AmeboFeeds(op): 1:07pm On Sep 04, 2019
A Chairmanship Aspirant for Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Engr Olumide Damilare has maintained that the people of Ogun state would be suprised with the massive development that would take place in few months to come.

Olumide insisted that the state governor, Dapo Abiodun is currently working on appointing people with great skills and profile as members of his cabinet so as to help in bringing a rapid development to the state.

The APC aspirant stated this while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

He however advised the people to desist from calling the governor 'baba go slow', stressing that the governor is coming with full force to develop the state.

Olumide also stressed that the people should not use 100 days to judge how far a government will go.

According to him, 100 days in office is not an embago to know if any governor will perform.

"My amiable governor has never been a slow man, he is taking one step at a time.

"He hasn't spent 100 days in the office and people are always shouting 100 days in office

"100 days is just what some past governor came up with, the past governor spent 8 years compare to someone who is just new in
office.

"Will he just rush into action, by appointing commissioners and SSAs without scrutinizing them.

"He needs to check what the past governor left behind and know the challenges the ministries are facing.

"If he just jump into action, his administration will soon collapse".

He further said, "to those who are saying Abiodun might not win the second term, let's wait till then.

"When we get to the bridge we shall cross it.

"The future is still ahead of him and I believe by the time he steps fully into action, you will all be suprise".
