The Special Adviser to Gov Dapo Abiodun On Political matters has reacted to a recent publication with the heading, "Gov Abiodun SA Deter International Investors From Ogun State At Isara-Aforamodi Festival — Community Youths Lament" published by one online medium, www.eagleforesight.com.ng. According to his media team, It’s necessary to clear the air and let the people of Ogun State see the true picture of what happened at Afotamodi Day yesterday and to debunk the news going around on social media, which was published by www.eagleforesight.com.ng The truth of the matter is that there was gun shot indeed, but it was an accidental discharge on the part of one of the careless Vigilantes attached to the event, eye witnesses said. Mr Seyi, who was at the spot where the incident occurred said: The vigilante handled the gun unprofessionally as he was drunk and forgot to activate the safety tab in the gun he was carrying and by so doing the gun was misfired and unfortunately hit four individuals, particularly the indigenous diasporans who were seated in their tent in a ceremonial mood. Hon Adebiyi Adeleye has nothing to do with the gun shot and nothing like hired thugs. In his entourage, was the Remo North Local Government Executive Chairman, the Executive Vice Chairman, all the LG Councilors among other important people in his entourage. Afotamodi Day is an annual Festival, it's a day that the indigenes of Isara celebrates, rejoice, laugh, count our achievements and give thanks to Almighty God for spearing our lives, how on earth would someone like Hon Adebiyi Adeleye hire thugs to disrupt such a glorious day in Isara. An event where we have Odemo of Isara, Onipara of Ipara, Oba Of Ikenne Remo, High Chiefs, Baales, State Appointees, Government Representatives, Isara indigene in diaspora and in the presence of Isara people. Hon Adebiyi Adeleye is not a violent person, he respect and love his people. It is evidence that the news emanated from the camp of unscrupulous elements and its already dead on arrival as the ugly incident happened in the presence of Isara people, security outfits assigned to provide security at the event. Hon. Adebiyi Adeleye has already sent delegates to check the victims at the hospital and it was reported that the victims have been stabilized and recuperating well.

It is crucial to state very clearly that as we celebrate this day, that all persons, tribes, ethnic groups, language groups, trade groups, cultural groups, religious groups in Nigeria are dependent on one another! Our diversity must be jealously nurtured and ruthlessly protected. We are indeed a great nation with an infectious level of hope. Once you step out of the domain of politics and look at the people, you may see so much that needs fixing, but I bet you that you will also see so much strength, so much determination and a whole lot of happiness in the eyes of our people. I believe that there is enough blame to go around all. None of our leaders can be too sanctimonious; otherwise, we could have done a lot better with ourselves. We must therefore stop the buck-passing, stop the acrimonious arguments and begin to look at things from a broader, more nationalistic perspective. I see a great future if we embrace it together, and we must do that. It starts with forgiving each other for all we might have done or said to one another, which may have altered our minds and got us thinking perhaps our amalgamation was wrong. No, our amalgamation was proper, it gave us our diversity, it gave us a rich country in floras and faunas, heathy biodiversity, beautiful scenery, lovely mountains and incredible valleys, a vibrant cultural mix, oh our options of foods, loads of genre of authentic African music, splendid cultural festivals and a whole lot of religiosity with all the energies it exudes, oh but above all, it gave us the people, the incredible people of Nigeria, we are indeed one of the luckiest nations of the earth. Despite our worries, we handled many a pandemic in a manner that makes you wonder how did we do it, we beat the forecast of doom, and we did it with the help of God and good old Nigerian spirit. I must call the attention of today's political leaders to the need to lower the rhetorics of division. Selecting people to manage our affairs in a democracy is no liberty to heat the polity. Perhaps, those in charge will do well to read the riot act to both southern and northern governors forums. Luckily they all have enough skeletons to help with the firm persuasion. We must not allow them to use their temporary positions and platforms to infuse unnecessary mistrust into our people. Whatever prize they hope to get is genuinely not worth the damage they are causing. We can build a great nation that is very prosperous and at peace with itself. We need to be just, fair and equitable, and all will be well. Prayer for the Nation Oh mighty sovereign LORD of the universe, thank you for all you are doing and have done for us Nigerians. Forgive our transgressions, for they are many; you are oft-forgiving. In all ramifications, let this new year be for our nation Nigeria in the other of Isaac who sowed and reaped in the same year a hundred folds, especially in security, agriculture, wellness, peace and prosperity. Amen. We must know on this day that we are dependent on Independence. It is time to reset Nigeria sincerely.

Spokesman to Nigeria’s Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (1999-2007) and PDP presidential candidate (2019) has lambasted Prince Dapo Abiodun, Ogun State governor, for alleged unproductive handling of the state. Segun Sowunmi, former PDP candidate for House of Representatives, who spoke during an interaction with members of Independent Newspapers Association of Nigeria (iNAN) , said Governor Abiodun is governing the state as though he’s a level 13 civil servant. He said the description was not meant to disrespect civil servants in the State and elsewhere, saying the intellectual capacity deployed in the governance of the State is not more than the workload challenge of a level 13government worker. Sowunmi posited that Abiodun’s intellectual capacity deployed in his administration is even below level 14,15 or 16, adding that he runs the State without new great ideas Sowunmi argued that Ogun has failed to experience significant infrastructural development and improved internally generated revenue (IGR) owing to alleged poor administration by the Abiodun’s government. “In the beginning of this administration, I was very critical of them; but when Covid-19 made all the states not to be able to work much. It was not in my interest as an Ogun indigene to demarket my state when I could not see what others are doing. “I am disappointed that they have time to organise big burial; they have time to organise big political activities; they do not have time to organise an economic summit which we all used to; they do not have time to organize a framework to ensure that our IGR is bigger,” Atiku Spokesperson lamented. Speaking further Segun Sowunmi frowns at the way Governor Abiodun uses the media and commissioned writers to mask the real issue, like what the State government has done to IGR and the leakages surrounding IGR of the State. He says: ” they blocked all the leakages? You know the answer yourself. All you have to do is look on the streets and see the number of people jumping up and down, cutting tickets.” Sowunmi continues: “What have they been able to do with the local government. Have they been able to stabilize it. What are the doing about the image of the state. All the big envelope projects we need to make Ogun State attractive, they have not done anything about it. What have they done to attract good investment, and good publicity for the state.” Sowunmi also berated the Abiodun-led government for lacking innovative ideas to develop the state. “They have not brought any innovative ideas of theirs. Not in road construction; not in health; not in housing; not in education. They have not disrupted the economic policy in a manner that can create new energy, and new opportunity for people. “Anytime I think of Ogun, I think of a state that can make itself like New Jersey to America. They have not taken advantage of their proximity to Lagos. What can they do to inspire the citizens; what can they do to interest you.

Speaking, former Managing Director of The Sun Newspapers and former Commissioner for Information and Culture, Anambra State, Chief Tony Onyima, PhD, said the place of mentorship in media profession cannot be overemphasized, as it prepares younger generation of media practitioners to surmount many challenges often faced in the practice. Chief Onyima, who noted that social media convergence had widened the scope of media practice in recent time, added that universities must rise to the occasion and bring students nearer to the emerging realities in the new media ecosystem. Speaking on the theme of the event, “Exploring Emerging Opportunities In Media and Communication,” the guest lecturer, Jika Attoh, urged students to develop sound writing skills to survive in the profession irrespective of the platform. Attoh, the Executive Director, West Africa Broadcast & Media Academy, said content creation, copyright, blogging and editing are lucrative areas students could engage to earn income, instead of walking round the streets in search of scarce paid employment. Attoh further advised the students to fact-check and verify their sources in the course of their practice to avoid libelous publications that have often been used by politicians to destroy media houses and practitioners. Speaking, Co-Chairman of the occasion and MD/CEO of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Chief Uche Nworah, PhD, urged the mass communication students to emulate the giant footprints of professionals who have made enormous contributions to the growth of society through practice of journalism. Chief Nworah preached self-development as key to expertise in the job, challenging the students to take charge of their destiny by believing in themselves. Earlier in her welcome address, the Head Department of Mass Communication, Prof Chinwe Uzochukwu, said Town & Gown Series was aimed at bringing about a valuable interface between students undergoing training in the classroom and professionals in the industry. Prof Uzochukwu said the partnership with Beyond Community Care Foundation which made the maiden edition possible was timely as it coincided with the time when the mass communication discipline is being unbundled for better efficiency. She thanked the planning committee led by Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD, for their effort in making the event a reality. She informed that the department will welcome future partnership from generous individuals and bodies towards sustenance of the initiative. She encouraged the students to take advantage of the event to chart a course to career greatness in the media and communication industry. Also, the Vice- Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof Charles Esimone, lauded the Head of Department, Prof Chinwe Uzochukwu, on the initiative, and pointed out that the programme is in line with the 'Project 200' of his administration aimed at raising quality students to be active players in the industries. Esimone, represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof Joseph Ikechebelu, said 'Town and Gown,' was initiated in the institution to foster relationship between the academic community and the industry. He appealed to the students to allow the knowledge gained to yield fruits in their life even as he commended the empowerment given to less privileged students, describing it as a unique initiative by the department and called on other departments to emulate that. Also speaking, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof Uche Nwogwugwu said the programme was an intercourse between the students and professionals where the key players of the industry orientate and mentor students on what they would face after school. Meanwhile, founder of Beyond Community Care Foundation (BECCAF), Chief Dennis Ezebuilo, said the partnership with the department was geared towards galvanizing and training students through mentorship to have a successful career after graduation. Chief Ezebuilo who was represented by Onuora Aninwobodo, said the organization strives to reduce poverty, enhance rural development and ensure overall development of the country through skill acquisition and sound education. He warned the students against not taking seriously the invaluable opportunity the event offered to them, as some before them did not get such opportunity. He expressed the hope that the organisation would have for more opportunities to partner with the university in future. Panelists and other media/Communication experts who spoke at the event offered words of encouragement to the students as well as introduced to them the secrets that established them as standout figures in the media and communication industry. Barr. Valentine Obienyem, Media Adviser to former Anambra state Governor, Mr Peter Obi, spoke on the importance of journalism, adding that its practice could be used to influence the society. He encouraged the mass communication students to build their capacities at early stage of their lives and try to be vast in different fields to have robust careers. Former Managing Director of Champion Newspapers, Chief Emmanuel Agu, led the students through tasks of newswriting and warned them not to be distracted in their journalism career. Chief Agu charged them to be focused in their dream of impacting lives through journalism and challenged them to subject themselves to be mentored on the rudiments of the job. He described journalism as an influential profession and urged students to influence their immediate environments through the practice. He called on them to be versatile such that they know little about everything. Also Speaking, Kasie Abone, a marketing analyst at ThisDay newspaper urged the students, especially potential female journalists among them, to remain focused in pursuit of their career goals. She spoke of the opportunities of wide travels one gets in the profession if one knows his or her onions. Another panelist and Head of Punch newspaper investigative desk, Tessy Igomu, urged the students to be intentional and deliberate about what they want to do in the field. She advised them to strive to carve a niche for themselves, adding that such could only be achieved through diligence and hard work. Contributing, General Manager, Kpakpando Media Group, Monic Okechukwu, said communication students must cultivate sound knowledge and character. Hence, they must eschew pomposity as journalists are known to be simple to attract good relationship with the public. She warned aspiring female journalists to desist from indecent dressing, stressing that it can hamper their opportunity in the profession as the public are guided by what they see. Mr. Kenneth Eseni, an experienced broadcast journalist, encouraged upcoming practitioners to give room for discipline, especially as it relates to time, reminding them that time is of huge essence in the job. While urging them to acquire evolving media skills, he reminded that being multi-tasked would make them robust and dynamic on the job. Lending his voice, Onyebuchi VON Nwadukwe, a presenter and producer at Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), encouraged the students to strive in creating platforms for themselves by looking at what is obtainable in order to do something different. He challenged them to create their own content while maintaining the status quo, as such would mark them out among their peers. Also, Callistus Ofonye, an SSA to Enugu State Governor on Electronic Media, said mass communication students should identify what they desire to become and back it up with zeal, interest and determination. Speaking to our reporter, a lecturer in the UNIZIK Mass Communication Department, Prof Chinyere Stella Okunna, described the event as the best that has happened to the students of the department in recent years as exposure to the realities in the media and communication profession was massive. She requested that every effort must be put in place to ensure the Town and Gown series becomes part of the Faculty of Media and Communication studies about to take off on the university as it has proved to be very educative. Meanwhile, the local organizing committee (LOC) chairman and lecturer at the department, Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, said the students were encouraged by such gathering and urged them to make good use of what they learnt to develop themselves. He thanked the guests for their time and commitment which, he said, will have impact on the students and praised his committee members for their uncommon dedication. Odogwu, who until coming into UNIZIK has practised as a reporter, correspondent, editor and blogger, thanked the HOD, Prof Uzochukwu, for the opportunity to serve and Prof Okunna for her advice and praised her for her mentorship legacy as evident in the accolades she got from many of the guests and resource persons who passed through her as a communication teacher. The president of the Association of Mass Communication Students (ASOMACS), Emmanuel Nginikanma, who gave vote of thanks, said the students were full of praises for the department for the maiden Town & Gown event, appealing for more empowerment for the students in that regard. His predecessor, Comrade Kingsley Chinedu, who spoke to our reporter, said he was overwhelmed by the success of the event, stating that it availed students a rare opportunity to rub minds with key players in the field of their study. He said the event would be highly beneficial to the students and will help close the gap between classroom and industry where they hope to practise. Other students including Clara Obi, McDonald Chigoziem Ogunedo, Pearl Amobi , Perpetual Nwekelundu, Jennifer Okonkwo, Ogbule Gift, Mercy Ifeanyi, and Chioma Nnanna, all praised the event and described it as a huge opportunity to learn more. They said the success stories of some of the practitioners had encouraged them to contribute their quota in society through the media and communication profession. The 10 persons empowered by the Department in partnership with Beyond Community Care foundation (BECCAF) included two physically challenged persons and others who learnt one skill or the other during the long stay at home occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic but lacked capital to start up a business after graduation from the department. Items received by the beneficiaries included a special phone for the blind, a wheel chair, sewing machine, barbing equipment, tiling machine, hairdressing equipment, and bakery equipment among others. She thanked the Head of Department, Prof Chinwe Uzochukwu, for partnering Beyond Community Care Foundation for the Town and Gown series which brought about smiles on their faces. Condolence on the passing of Mama Alhaja Adijat Kuburat Agbeke Isiaka. Oh, mama is gone. We are talking about a mother in all ramifications, patient, loving, fore-bearing, dedicated to family, community and religion. One needs to look at all the Isiaka boys to know that this is a mother who trained her children very well in the ethos of hard work, moderation, good manners and discipline. Knowing that the responsibility of looking after her children fell entirely on her upon the demise of her husband, their father when the children and herself needed guidance in their formative years. You have to take a moment to celebrate an epitome of good motherhood, for observing the way her son Gboyega Nasir Isiaka aka GNI, has carried himself in public space and private engagement is to say thank you, mama, you gave Ogun a good man, the story is the same if you know all other children of mama, they are very reliable, painstakingly and diligent. Now that it has pleased Almighty Allah to call mama home, it is my prayer that the best of paradise be reserved for her and that her children will reap the bountiful harvest of the earthly works of the Iya Adinni of Imeko Afon. YOUR EXCELLENCY, ACCEPT MY CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING ON TO GLORY OF YOUR FATHER The news of the passing on to glory of your father, Pa, Dr. Emmanuel Abiodun, was received with mixed feelings. What could be more ennobling and gratifying! Papa came, saw and conquered. His footprints are simply inerasable in the sands of old Western State's education sector. He has produced men and women across trades and fields of human endeavour. No wonder he was famously called 'BABA TEACHER.' To know the late Artillery General of the Nigerian Army was to recognise that a man of impeccable character is gone. A fine specimen of dedication to country, he went about every activity with the dignity of a trained arms bearer, all through his life. A dutiful commander of men, a prudent manager of resources and indeed a gentleman. As the news of his demise hit the airwaves, I reflected on the life of the former military Governor of Oyo State, Sole Administrator of Ekiti and former Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Ogun State. A prince of Ilaro in Yewa South of Ogun State, former Ecomog field commander, with impeccable service record, it is common to use the phrase an officer and a gentleman, but in the case of Major-General Tunji Olurin, he was indeed an officer and a gentleman. Adetunji omo erin lonibu Omo efon lo lona Omo pakan lakan, leyin jijo awo ni gbori ile, Omo ina tin jo geregere lori omi Omo aran o sunwon e ko nigbale Omo oku eko omo ijagudu akara. May your soul rest in peace. - Segun Showunmi

The BUA group has denied increase in the price of it’s cement. The clarification came as a result of requests from customers as well as distributors who have been calling to find out whether, like DANGOTE Cement BUA had also increased its own price by 260 Naira. In a signed statement released this afternoon, the BUA group insists that it stands by its earlier decision not to increase cement price which was communicated on April 24, 2021. According to the management of BUA, they are aware that Dangote decided to increase the price of it’s cement by 260 NAIRA from June 14, 2021. The management also noted that even though there had been decline in cement demand due to commencement of rainy season, any further increase in price will disrupt, the normalisation or stabilisation of prices. The BUA group further stated that they will always be willing to play their role as a responsible corporate entity rather than associate with others to form a cartel to fix prices which will ultimately not be in the best interest of Nigerians. In their words, ‘ The timing is not right for any increase on BUA’s part and we do not have any justifiable business reason to increase to increase our prices any time soon. They also hope that the price increase by Dangote will not disrupt the downward trend of cement price movement See statement

The screening committee of the chairmanship aspirants under the platform of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun State has faulted move by those suspected as behind social media write-up to rubbish its report. Penpushing reports that the committee secretary, Clement Adeniyi in a reaction to the suspected sponsored social media message, said such move was to tarnish the image of the committee, which it said it holds no water. ‘Our attention has been drawn to a libelous story written and posted on different social media platforms by one Comr Samson Adekunle from Asipa Village of Obafemi Owode Local Government, where the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Obafemi Owode Local Government Chairmanship Screening Committee headed by our leader, Chief Kola Sorinola was indicted in order to drag the screening Committee Chairman, the entire members of the committee and the committee’s report through the mud’. The statement added that, the arrowhead of the mischief was a faceless person, stressing that the story was mischievous and an attempt to mislead the general public against the screening committee and the good work of the committee. ‘We wish to state, it’s obvious and evident that the writer of this misleading story did not research the power and responsibilities of the committee on the screened Chairmanship aspirants before polluting the public with falsehood, erroneous and fallacious claims against the committee and its Chairman’. ‘Hence, we will like to educate him and others who might have believed the falsehood on the responsibilities and power of the Screening Committee. We are local government chairmanship screening committee and not DSS whose functions include: prevention, detection and investigation of criminalities’. ‘Our function is to screen all the aspirants which were 12 in number. We’re according to the party higher authority, to request for the aspirants’ necessary credentials such as: tax clearance certificate , academic certificates, permanent voter’s card, party membership card etc’. ‘As a committee, the party did not authorize us to investigate any aspirant as per the documents presented to us or otherwise. The party will further investigate all aspirants and every document presented’, the statement read. It is important to categorically state that as the Secretary of the Screening Committee, I did not write any academic institution to investigate the genuinity of academic certificate of any aspirant reason, I was not given such power and authority to do so’,Adeniyi explained. ‘I therefore wish to clear that my name was used by some unscrupulous persons to draft a letter in respect of this, and further used my appellation to make it looks real. Meanwhile, on the 17th May, 2021, the screening committee chairman, Chief Kola Sorinola received a petition and in the presence of the local government party leaders, during a leaders’ meeting held at the Assembly Quarters of the Hon. Member representing the local government state constituency, Hon. Damilola Kayode Soneye’ ‘Same day, 17th May, 2021 put a call through the Deputy Registrar of the academic institution to confirm the authenticity of a letter written to the committee in response to the sent letter by these set of people where names and appellation of the screening committee’s secretary were used’. ‘To the surprise of the leaders, the Deputy Registrar when asked by the Committee Chairman Chief Kola Sorinola, if she wrote, signed and sent a letter confirming an aspirant did not graduate from the institution said “No she did not write, sign and send such letter”. This is the length at which the committee can react. Thus, further investigations are left for the party leaders and elders. ‘Having explained all these, the screening committee on behalf of the entire good people of Obafemi Owode Local Government and its environ, advised those who derive joy in politics of bitterness and dirty politics to change their ways and believe in the saying that, ” Que Sera, Sera, Whatever Will Be, Will Be!’ ‘We therefore urge members of the public to ignore the mislead and delude story piled up by the faceless Com. Samson Adekunle. As every necessary actions are ongoing to present to the party faithfuls and good people of the Local government a befitting Local Government Chairmanship Candidate. Penpushing

The Inter Party Advisory Council, Southwest Chapter has congratulated the executive governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on the honour bestowed on him by The European American University recently. According to the comgratulatory message made available to newsmen by Comrade Abayomi Arabambi, The Southwest Chairman, and Comrade Tolu Ajayi, Secretary IPAC 'Our attention in South West Chapter of IPAC was drawn to a news - item that announced the choice of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi by the European and American University for an award of honour . The first of its kind in this year to any Governor. We must first note that our position on the quality of leadership of the Kogi State political Champion is here corroborated. The only State Governor that successfully gave quality and exemplary leadership to his people during the Covid - 19 official assault on the Treasury by most Governors . He refused to be part of official stealing from the State Treasury in the name of confronting the over - hyped Covid - 19 in very open deceit that went on last year. Besides all of the above , he has sustained the popular and commendable capacity of his Government in delivering the dividends of democracy to the residents of his State in all the sectors of Governance. As a result of this , he has been singled out of the 36 Governors in Nigeria to be recognised and chosen to be honoured by the European and American University . Wait a minute , the citations for the honoured among other encomiums read : (1) For his high level integrity. (2) delivery of high quality education . (3) Strong leadership . (4) Women empowerment in politics. (5) High sense of financial prudence. All of the above combine to give meaning to the qualities that separates Governor Yahaya Bello from the crowd of gap - filling Governors making empty noises all over Nigeria. That Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State truly deserves this honour is much more emphasised by his consistent style of Governance that keeps putting the interest of the people first in every action of his Government. It is quite so much satisfying to note that what the South West IPAC has all along identified as unique in GYB is now stressed by this well deserved honour. By this , the political Lion of Kogi State has once again confirmed that the Youths are really in a very good stead to give true quality leadership in the Nigerian political space.' Aso, He said IPAC South West Chapter believe that if by any omission or commission , the APC fails to recognise the shouting need to make the very brilliant and youthful Governor Yahaya Bello , its CONSENSUS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN 2023 , the South West IPAC assures APC that the opposition will be too happy to offer him the necessary platform . Finally, Arabambi on behalf of the entire IPAC South West Chapter , the Chairman Comrade Gentleman Arabambi and Secretary Prince Tolu Ajayi once again congratulate the high - flying and sky - bound political GOLD and Governor of Kogi State on the award of this well deserved honour. CONGRATULATIONS to your Excellency Sir

The Labour Party LP National secretariat has accused Comrade Ayuba Wagba of plotting to forceful attempt to take over the party. According to the release made available by PRESS RELEASE Comrade Gentleman Abayomi ARABAMBI, Says "Our attention was drawn to a petition written and signed by One Comrade Ayuba Wabba to INEC National Chairman where he purportedly describes the National Executive Committee meeting of LABOUR PARTY held on the 29th March 2021 in Benin Edo as illegal is not only mischievous but a complete misfit intention and ARRANT nonsensical balderdash." Ordinarily , the very silly rantings and gibberish from this grossly irresponsible, Political Miscreants and incompetent Labour Leader in person of Comrade Ayuba Wabba would have been ignored but for one reason , to expose the yawning emptiness in his cheap meal - ticket and setting the record straight. I was a major player in the said NEC monitored by INEC. I moved the motion to elevate Bar Julius Abure from the position of National Secretary to National Chairman and the reversals of the else while Acting National Chair person Maria Labeke as the Deputy National Chairman. Therefore this response became imperative The general public is here advised to ignore the totally false , illegal meaningless , grossly irresponsible , wholesomely incompetent, moribund and executive rascality of this meddlesome interloper and serial gangs of political merchants illegally parading themselves to INEC as members of Labour party led by Senile Comrade Ayuba Wabba of the house of commotion Abuja headquarters of NLC .It is obvious Ayuba Wabba ambition to run for the office of the Senate in 2023 is the driving force for this threashrous act and a loss option now or in the foreseeable future ,it is for this same interest workers welfare are compromised, so he is thus looking for a very desperate and reckless short cut for his criminal implementation, that will spell further doom for the drivers of his in ordinate dead ambition. The Nigerian Labour Congress has always been the go to savior of Nigerians In the Realm of National Dialogue , protection and the salvation of the Nigerian people from hunger, unemployment, disease and all negative indices that afflict our Country. The people of Nigeria often look to the National Labour Congress (NLC) for insight, direction and hope, however in the recent history of the labour Union it has opted away from its traditional role of being the protector of Nigerians labour force but rather choose a stoic silence on issues of national discuss such as the root causes and agitation of working class Nigerians that have led to some noteworthy industrial actions such as Strikes of Resident Doctors and , ASSUP strike. Where is Ayuba Wabba and his merceneries in the ongoing strikes and protest embarked upon by judiciary union and NBA all over NIGERIA for judicial autonomy. Where was Ayuba Wabba during the inhuman increase of pump price of fuel by the APC led federal government Other issues that demand the attention of the labour Union includes the non implementation of Minimum wage in some States, Casualisation of staff and exploitation of workers, diversion of Local Government funds by some state governments, insecurity of members of Labour Congress especially members living in high risk areas, None conduct of Local Governments Election in some states across the federation, excessive high cost of living as a direct results of systemic hike in cost of petroleum products and electrical tariffs amongst several other issues that plague our country. It is therefore shocking that the Political arm of NLC under the leadership of Ayuba Wabba refuses to focus on issues that negatively affects the people of Nigeria, and display the demanded leadership and direction, that Nigerians need from the labour Union. It is instead observed that the NLC has gone about consistently meddling with issues that do not directly affect the Council (such as interfering in the affairs of Labour Party even as impersonators. The letter to the commission was a delibrate distortion, criminal contradictions, executive impunity and malfeasance. Any political and unconstitutional rebellion being grown by some polished miscreants in the political or Nigeria Labour Congress space should therefore be ignored because we will not be part of the threashrous gang of NLC political misfits trying to claim to be in existence in Labour Party as the days of portfolio party existence is far left in forgotten memory. Therefore Ayuba Wabba action is politically dumb and very irresponsible to have paraded himself as superior to the NEC of our great party and above it . How can you possibly be in a position to direct INEC to dissolve a body of National Working Committee that he is a stranger to the body (NEC) that appointed the National Chairman and National Secretary. As at today , no one or body is legally or empowered to undo a constitutionally evolved legality as falsely claimed by the cash and carry Ayuba Wabba led political miscreants . By every dictates of responsible citizenship , the Supreme court of Nigeria in the case of Armed makarfi vs Alimodu Sheriff Delivered a judgement that the NEC of all Political parties remains the highest decision making organ , thus it's laughable for this bunch of unreasonable people to be asking INEC to dissolve the NEC and NWC of our great party. Silly men are silly , it doesn't matter in which tribe they exist thus Ayuba Wabba through his petition has been exposed as a stark illiterate and a purchasable political jobber . Every delibrate actions aimed at promoting executive lawlessness, malfeasance maladministration, Political rascality, policy somersault contradictions, impunity and association brigandage will only bring about perpetual stagnation to our political parties association and all.of us will be seen as not only grossly irresponsible but perpetually incompetent. Thus every action deserves a commensurate measure of reaction. Ayuba Wabba is here by advice to resign immediately as the National president of Nigeria Labour Congress as he has over serve his usefulness . He is further advise to go and formed his own Political party as decided in the last NEC of NLC if truly he is interested in contesting for the office of the president. The presidential tickets of Labour party is not meant for cheap Political spent forces. Nothing stands on nothing thus I and other members of NEC stand with the decision of the National Executive Committee made on the 29th day of March 2021 in Benin Edo State where the duo of Bar Julius Abure was elected un oppose as the substantive National Chairman and Alhaji Farouk Umar as National Secretary Comrade Gentleman Abayomi ARABAMBI Ogun State Chairman and Member of National Executive Committee

Events shaping the Ogun State political landscape in recent time has left observers in a melodramatic situation. Ranging from defection of former Governor Gbenga Daniel, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Dimeji Bankole, and a host of others, to the silence and ground moves of Sen Ibikunle Amosun. Observers wish to know who and who belongs to which side, viz a viz the strength and relevance of occupants and members of the APC. At the heels of the latest defection in town, Chief Mrs Solaja aka Jumlar (Ijebu North LG of Ogun East) to the APC, and following the innuendo of structure following her defection, Amebo interviews Hon 'Biyi Adeleye, Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun MFR on Political Matters. Amebo Correspondent: Good morning and happy weekend sir Hon 'Biyi Adeleye: Good morning, best wishes. Amebo Correspondent : Sir, yesterday, at his Abeokuta residence Sen Ibikunle Amosun received leaders of PDP loyal to late Buruji Kashamu to his APC SIA/PMB structure. The decampees were led by Chief (Mrs) Ibilola Solaja alias JUMLAR. Hon 'Biyi Adeleye: I have been inundated with calls and texts from journalists, political actors and keen observers, on the 'purported' decamping/realignment of some people loyal Buruji to a group tagged 'SIA/PMB' structure, a group at best described as a collection of lame ducks headed a grand political jester. To set the records straight, fair and clear, it is a hurt on the memory of late Sen Buruji Kashamu, in whose name Mrs Ibilola Solaja aka Madam Jumlar has chosen to ply her usual petty trade. Amebo Correspondent: How so? Hon 'Biyi Adeleye: It is on record that Sen Kashamu had parted ways with Madam Jumlar and her co travelers long before his demise. Their political separation was borne out of her perpetual greed and insolence. She actually wanted a third term House of Assembly ticket for her son (Hon Bowale Solaja), to which Sen Kashamu disagreed in principle and fairness to his followers. Right then she instructed her son to leave for APC, thus joining (then Governor) Amosun, this was even before the birth of APM. Since then she had been an avid opposer of Sen Kashamu up till his demise. The real followers of Late Sen Kashamu are now with us in APC, spirit, body and soul. If you observe, very recently, Late Sen Kashamu's ally and Ogun Central Senatorial Candidate in the 2019 election led the authentic structure to His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, they are firmly with us now, same as the Ogun East Senatorial candidate in the last election. Others are left overs who are not even Kashamu's people. Amebo Correspondent: You mean they have been together all along, and it is not a new alignment or development? Hon 'Biyi Adeleye: The purported realignment is best described as media stunt by Sen Amosun and his cohorts. Wonder why coming to celebrate an existing alignment. At the 2019 polls, Madam Jumlar actively worked and mobilized for APM and its candidates in her local government and her son Bowale was the campaign coordinator of Hon Akinlade in Ijebu North LG. She has since then remained a key actor in their(APM-SIA) group. Thus, it is neither a plus nor minus to anybody. At Hon Bowale's wedding immediately after the election, late Sen Kashamu was conspicuously absent while Sen Amosun chaired the occasion. Amebo Correspondent : Can you please shed more light sir? Hon 'Biyi Adeleye: Sen Amosun, who himself is a farceur and grand jester has lately preoccupied himself with recruitment of political leftovers around, other than facing more pressing concerns of representation and legislation in the red chamber which he has a couple of years left. He really should stop being a birdbrain. He should try to come to terms with reality. Sen. Amosun deserves our pity because the defeat of the last governorship election is still taking a toll on him. I read somewhere where a certain "SIA/PMB structure" was stated. Very hilarious. Perpetual mischief makers keep making up chant lines to railroad political leftovers and hangers to believing they have good standing. Is he still the governor of the state or is President Buhari contesting for the 3rd term. Amosun should fight his fight alone and stop grandstanding with the good names of .r President to deceive unsuspecting followers. These bunch of ditz and softheads are yet to pick lessons from 2019. We wish them smooth recovery from oblivion. Amebo Correspondent : Going forward sir, do you have any concerns about opposition within the state and regarding the coming 2023 polls? Hon 'Biyi Adeleye: Ogun State is currently having a good time, politically and socioeconomically. Politically, the APC remains the party to beat. The Vice President of Nigeria is here and all of the former Governors in the state are here with us in the progressive fold, same as all former Senators, former Speaker of the House of Representatives and a number former House of Representatives members, add that to the long list of serving and former state House of Assembly members, Local Government council Chairmen as well as several grassroot political players. An endless list of relevant and important people, all of good standing, here with us in the progressive fold with governor Dapo Abiodunas the officialleader of the party. You then ask yourself; in Ogun State today, what, or permit me, who and who are in opposition? Is there anything like that in existence, really? The answer is NO! On that, I can assure you we are very much confident as a party. Added to the fact that His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR has so far displayed high level of performance, and this goes round all sectors. Recently there was issues and concerns of security, which you will agree with me has been handled properly. Yesterday Amotekun was launched, and operations start immediately. We are still much preoccupied with governance, coming polls will be taken care of as time goes, no rush, really. Amebo Correspondent : What are your concluding words sir? Hon 'Biyi Adeleye: APC remains open to all and sundry. Membership registration has been extended for a few more weeks and we are preoccupied with building the party, making it more formidable and glorious. As said earlier, the business of governance is steadily and actively being pursued. The lame ducks can continue with their drab and theatrics, we are least concerned let alone distracted.
