tedio:Because you're new, one month. ![]() |
tedio:After all the warnings on this thread. You mean you still went ahead and take the risk of upgrading a receiver without a steady power supply? Your punishment is that the receiver will remain grounded for 3 months. That's my judgement. I rise! |
What is the price in Nigeria? Especially the Anker |
shariff84:Please is locust beans out now? If yes, how much? |
MrFollowFollow:I have work in the loan department of a Microfinance bank and I know that. But the approach of these apps is very wrong. I was talking to one of their costumers care representative and he was just shouting that I'm lying, I had to end the call and sent a warning text to him. Why should I lie because of how much? An |
IjeBos:Sir, the least is more than that. They just disguise what is called interest will be low but the administration change will be so high and some remove from the loan they're giving you. If you add this, together with the short duration of the loans, you pay at least double of your loan amount in a month. |
79733139:The app will ask for access to your contact, sms, location etc. They would import all these to their end so if you delete the app, they already have it. What annoyed me most is the way their customer's service talk to people. Very very rude. And they send messages to your contact that Mr so so is a criminal bla bla. Imagine, your boss or in-law received such message. I pray I never have reasons to take such loan again The worst of the apps are some fraudulent ones that will ask for your atm details and debit you, but will not give you loan. They will now refer you to other loan apps. That is outright fraud. I have reported some to google. |
Is new locust beans out yet? |
matezy:Seriously serious! |
willybaby:Don't ever try it. Cassava hates waterlogged area. Any little water log will lead to rottening of the tubers |
ateebonds:There are two companies in Kogi state. Crest Agro and unicane. If you can supply to Kogi, I will link you up. |
willybaby:Amen. By the way, that your bush meat will go well in egusi soup with pounded yam o |
willybaby:Only after the security of the nation improves o. I can't come and go and kill myself o. And besides, I have broken the bridge. I sold out most of my yam last year. The little I have now is to be planted in my pot and harvested in my pounder ![]() |
Lest I forget to mention. Yam has "incubation period" as I would call it. ![]() The local farmers will say they are pregnant. This is a period that yam is prone to rot when bruised or cut. It is very safe to cut yam during September through October. But by December Jan and early February, if you cut it, it will likely rot starting from the cut. I burnt my hand once out of ignorance by cutting yam set around December. The germination rate was about 5%. During this period, it's safer to plant seed. |
REUBEN010:Good question. The planting period varies from place to place. I will only tell you what is obtainable in my place. In a fadama area (yes yam can be planted in marshy/ waterlogged area), the cultivation is done in December to early February. The yam seed/set are already sprouting and can be planted almost immediately. This can be ready for harvest by june. On the other types of soil (forest or savannah) we usually cultivate by September and planting is done by October as against march/ April in some places. The advantage of planting early is that some light rain will still fall and cake the soil layer on top of the seed/set, this cures the seed and moisture is trapped to create the perfect condition needed for the it to survive the long dormant period. Mulching is done in February or March preferably after one or two rains. Germination is triggered by the mulch/rain and the vine start climbing immediately. This will be ready for first harvest starting from August or there about. Then second harvest (seed) is ready by October. NB. You can harvest yam twice. The first when the tuber is still growing and the leaves are green. Those harvested once will produce yam seed which is best for planting. |
REUBEN010:Kogi west |
willybaby:This is just one of the fringe benefits of being a farmer. ![]() |
Basically, yam can roughly be classified into early and late maturing. The early maturing ones can be ready for harvest as early as June, then you cut the new tubers and careful remove without much damage to the feeder root. These will still produce yam seed which is best for planting. Late maturing ones can only be harvested from September/October. The early maturing ones don't keep long and are softer. They can be stored up till May/June or even July the following year. But don't take this as a rule of thumb. There are a lot of exceptions and that's where experience comes handy. Always ask questions from experienced farmers in your area. |
REUBEN010:I plant many varieties. Soft, hard, white to yellowish (don't confuse with yellow yam), smooth to rough, long and thin to round just name it. Name varies from place to place. REUBEN010:In my place, there's one we call gambari. It's hot cake in the market as buyers come from the north to buy at good price. The only downside is that it doesn't keep too long. REUBEN010:I think you should speak to the local farmers in your area. Their knowledge is invaluable for a starter. REUBEN010:Always welcome. |
FrancisAdl:I hope it these price tags are not by mistake ? |

Sir, you cannot be too sure about this your argument o. I won't say tme419 is outdated though but there are quite a lot of new varieties out there that can outperform it in some ways. Yield, early bulking, starch content, dry matter percentage, deasese and drought resistance, etc And mere looking at the pictures, you might not be able to tell the particular variety. |
dlollyboi:Depending on the decoder o. Back then, when hand still de scratch me. I have destroyed a decoder like that. Up till today, I used the parts (signal ic, power pack etc) but the panel condemned o. The interruption affected the ic. It will just show - - - - when you load the software. Last last, na maibola I dash. |
Coolz2:I'm just seeing this. That's your best bet. Good luck. |
Omihanifa:Please be careful if you want to buy from Acunon o. Make sure you check it you check it or send someone to check it out before payment o. I'm talking from experience. I'm not saying he's a scam o. But physically verify the condition of the TV before payment. Don't make the same mistake I made o. Best of luck. |
willybaby:I know of one TMS **00058. It use to canopy and have thick stem. It's a good variety. It matures early just like TME419 |
willybaby:Whao. That's great. What variety is that? |
Come to Kogi. Very abundant |
bennyflipy:Don't fix what is not broken. Just an advice. |
3ncrypted:Where is your location? |
You want to buy or farm? If farming, I might have some useful information for you. I used to be a full-time farmer before. Cassava, yam and corn. Ask me anything |
