This is one crazy lie.

The Classics didn't berth in Nigeria and into people's consciousness up until 2004 when the likes of Marquez. He didn't make any good point, he was deflecting most of the question asked but because of your perceived hatred for the Yorubas, you are applauding him.

These are the salient point the guy fails to do justice to in this interview:

1. How do we solve our current security issues: he answered by opposing the initiative of regional police to support the centralized police system that we are all condemning that is not fair to all ethnic nationalities.

2. He opposed any form of restructuring to giving more power to the central government because he believes his ethnic group will always have the upper hand if the status quo continues.

3. He rationalized the quota system to mean bringing the less productive and poorly educated northern to be at parity with the south without considering what the south sacrifices for such to happen.

My conclusion, northern political figures like him don't mean we'll for what we want Nigeria to be. They want a Nigeria where socialist policies that favour them and their religion to be implemented at the sacrifices of development and progress.
