Your choice of words is quite commendable, I must say. To me, graduating with a CGPA of 3.7 Is to a very large extent a relative subject depending on the discipline with which the grade was obtained. What am I saying? Much respect will be given to someone who finished with a CGPA of 3.7 in a double honour course like Engineering than someone who finished with similar grade in education courses.

I'm in no mood for this. What you may define as rich, may be poor to me. Personally, a C grade is a Fail for me but it may be good for you. So my saying "Poor", is relative.

Exactly! We are on the same page now. There should be a mind shift in young people today, the way some people attach importance to unimportant things is a problem, and before you know it, they begin to feel a sense of entitlement for no reason!

I look at my cert devoid of CGPA and the area I majored in and I tell myself it should be in my head as a defense and not on paper for a show. It's well sha, we are all work in progress. We'll get there soon.

Poor in this case doesn't mean lack of money, it means not too good. In the context of that 3.7, 3.8 it is poor. Don't get me wrong here, it is a 2.1 no doubt but I have a problem with the way it is advertised. If all 2.1 graduates attach their CGPA on Nairaland, you will see that 3.7, 3.8 ranks low.

Check out that guy above with his CGPA for instance, he had to put it here so that the OP will know that it is not about 3. There is more to gaining gainful employment than cumulative GPA.

OP, hope you don't go about announcing this CGPA everywhere? Because it is poor, sorry. There are higher 2.1 who aren't adding 4... whatever to their honors so keep it aside and just say 2.1.
