So much for "governors are making so much money". They know the value of the allocation previously is higher than what we have now. Even Tinubu has broken the ceilings in terms of federal borrowings. What then is the advantage of the "subsidy is gone" beyond plunging the citizenry into multidimensional poverty? Who will the citizens borrow from? |
Okoroawusa:I seriously don't know which is worse between a bot and an Okoroawusa who quotes a bot. Why not ignore the bot and move on with your life? |
Judolisco:Leadership indeed. Didn't you see pictures of Wike with Abure? Do you mean Obi should outspend Wike by offering even more inducement to Abure? He will never do so. Wike and Tinubu can keep the carcass of LP and PDP, the smarter politicians have moved on. |
Klington:If the ruling party had not used state apparatus and power of incumbency to destroy all other opposition parties, do you think Obi and Atiku will defect from their parties. If the hunter has learnt to shoot without aiming, the bird will also learn to fly without perching. Tinubu's desperation has inadvertently led him to what he feared most and tried to prevent by destroying opposition, the unification of all opposition under one single umbrella. He has no pathway to re-election. |
seunmsg:Otti will be defecting to APC like the rest of his counterparts. Out of desperation, Tinubu has promised all governors and other defectors automatic ticket to the detriment of the political careers of other old-time APC stalwarts. Who wouldn't take advantage of it, especially when it's topped with money? The problem with that selfish plan is that the governors may return elected, depending on their performance, but still fail to deliver Tinubu because he will have a formidable opposition and their popularity is not transferable. Aggrieved APC members will also be unenthusiastic in campaigning for Tinubu, and some will covertly sabotage the party out of spite. We are already seeing signs of that in Delta, Enugu, Kano, Osun (even though Tinubu selfishly protected his cousin Oyetola's interest by preventing Adeleke's defection). |
Lawalemi:You conspicuously left out Fashola, Buhari’s super minister of power, works and housing. Tinubu's tenure will end by 2027 and he and his Lagos boys will also get hounded by the next government. |
Jayce242:If Wike continues like this, Tinubu will panic and throw Fubara under the bus. Tinubu only cares about Tinubu. Every other person is dispensable. |
Lol. Wike is like a mosquito perched on APC’s scrotal sac. He must be handled with utmost care. Notwithstanding, Tinubu's defeat will start from Rivers state in 2027. |
seunmsg:Eat his vomit indeed. Is that the new line being promoted in the WhatsApp group as a comeback? Dead on arrival! No one has eaten his words in Nigeria's political space more times than Tinubu. He promised Seyi Makinde a ministerial slot and reneged. Begged Elrufai to work with him and reneged. Reached an "agreement" with Wike and is about to renege. The list go on and on but you all call it master strategy. The coalition will show you all what a master strategy looks like. |
press9jatv:Lol. Are you sure? The way Fubara did Wike right? Lessons will be learnt. Why does your tin-god encourage and rever betrayers though? Is it because he is also one? Look what he did to Elrufai, Kashim Imam, Ganduje, Wike (soon) and Kashim Shettima (soon). In hindsight, it's now apparent that he encouraged Uba Sani to revolt against Elrufai, encouraged Fubara to revolt against Wike and now encouraging Abba Gida to revolt against Kwankwaso. |
seunmsg:H.E Peter Obi, a founding member of the coalition, will be formally declaring his ambition under the ADC on the 31st of December in Enugu, the capital of the Southeast. Will the ADC still fail to secure 25% in any Southern state as you predicted? Festus Keyamo is already jittery and jumping the gun. Your worst nightmare is becoming a reality. Meanwhile, Tinubu is still chasing after Kwankwaso and promising him the V.P slot in what will be a repetition of the muslim-muslim ticket because despite his so-called Southern consolidation, he still can't win without the hausa/fulanis. Lessons will be learnt! |
seunmsg:Lol. Sometimes go out into the streets and touch grass. Is your idea of traction paying humongous sums to politicians in order to "attract" them? When is he paying up the remaining 20 billion naira out of the 50 billion naira and ministerial slot he allegedly promised Seyi Makinde in order to "attract" him? |
What Batists fail to realise in all of these is that, Abba Gida's defection to APC to take over the structure will see Ganduje and Barau pitching their tents elsewhere, even if covertly. If Kwankwaso fails to defect with his godson, it would lead to even less votes for the APC, than in 2023, especially in the presidential elections. Tinubu's desperation and prioritisation of self will be his waterloo. He already showed how selfish he was when he threw Ganduje under the bus without a single thought, as demanded by Kwankwaso. |
So dark the con of man! This was when Elrufai was the hero of Batists. Today, Agbadorians will tell you that Elrufai did nothing to contribute to Tinubu's victory in 2023 and that Tinubu was right to betray him. They have quickly pivoted to Kwankwaso after showing signs of also ditching Ribadu and Shettima. Professional shape-shifters. |
ChiefOloye:You stalk me from thread to thread and dot on every comment I make. Yet, you're too arrogant to give me credit for schooling you for free. I never pay mind to whatever you have to say. I urge you to do the same and stop seeking my validation. |
AKWATGOLD1:Except that in the case of the Tinubu’s, they are fighting for their own personal ambitions and greed. Meanwhile, Chief of staff is busy selling slots. Little wonder the overbloated cabinet is uninspiring and lacklustre. Every appointee seem to be recouping their investments a thousand fold. Seyi contesting for Lagos state governor in 2027 will be the fastest way for Tinubu’s empire to come crashing down. He would lose woefully. |
Khallicopyro:Fubara can not become the godfather of a fly. He's that weak. He's counting on federal backing to fight Wike. In the end, Tinubu will weigh his chances and back one of them making the other to go rogue. Wike is already preparing for that by prepping up another political party to fly his candidate. Whether APC/Tinubu will choose to oppose him or not depends on whether he wants to risk the ire of Wike and get his dirty linens washed in public. When Wike says agreement is agreement, he is not referring to Fubara. |
TimeMachine2:You did not reveal any new information that is not already known. When we say Tinubu is paying good money to get the governors to decamp, some of the ill-informed Batists tend to argue. In any case, Tinubu has proven that he's willing to throw his most faithful ally under the bus to get what he wants and he will do the same to Kwankwaso if the opportunity presents itself. Kwankwaso will not decamp without the assurances of clinching the V.P spot. Tinubu and his chief of staff going behind his back to cut a deal with Abba will yield no result aside from quashing Abba's opposition in Barau and Ganduje's (Gawuna) camp. This will only infuriate Ganduje and Barau, further weakening the APC especially in the presidential elections. In the end, Tinubu will shift ground by ditching Shettima which will be the final nail in the coffin. Tinubu's fate is inevitable. |
TimeMachine2:Lol. You were with Kwankwaso yesterday? Did you teleport from Ikirun where you currently reside? Maybe you were at this event when Kwankwaso made the below comments on the proposed defections.
|
Kudos to Buhari, NNPC and to PBAT for completion of the landmark project. Next is to hasten up on the power plants. |
ALTERNATEID:Jokes. But Okowa is Tinubu's renewed hope ambassador for Southsouth while Yahaya Bello is prepping up to contest against Senator Natasha. Tinubu is paranoid. He's trying desperately to starve opposition of funds but funding will come from unlikely quarters. Even Batists confessed that Sanwo-olu funded Atiku in 2023. |
seunmsg:Lol. If wishes were horses. Abba is only decamping to ensure that APC doesn't field anyone against him. Who wouldn't defect to run unopposed? Tinubu is prioritising himself, sacrificing political ambitions of others just to ensure his own re-election. It will backfire. Ganduje is already breathing fire and brimstone. Just like Fubara and Wike, some political camps can just never work together. It will all come crashing down as soon as Tinubu picks a side. Tinubu is desperate.
Listen to Ganduje himself on the move. What structure does Abba have outside of Kwankwaso? The implosion of APC is inevitable. Listen to Kwankwaso himself on the matter. Abba might not return elected, if he's not careful.
|
seunmsg:It may appear so until it backfires. Tinubu is only concerned about his own re-election and is courting everyone over to the APC and promising what he will be unable to fulfill. In the end, he will be the biggest loser because the silently aggrieved parties who fail to clinch the party ticket will revolt either publicly or in private. Kano is already a case study with Ganduje and Barau camps being sacrificed to court the governor. Ganduje's camp is already revolting through proxies while not all supporters of Abba Gida will end up voting Tinubu. Most of the governors only decamped because it's a move that kills their opposition in the APC in their states and Tinubu is already gaining a notoriety for use and dump in the North. Wike is also silently propping up an alternate party to be used as plan B should the APC fail to ditch Fubara. This can only end one way. |
Richtaiwo:But your tin-god is currently in Europe alias France for what SaharaReporters said is a medical checkup. Why couldn't he stay behind in his own country to do so if everything is alright. |
yarimo:Lol. Tinubu is not Buhari. He has no organic voters anywhere. Not even in the Southwest. He is relying upon governors to deliver him come 2027. |
Hypocritical statement coming from the professor of agreement is agreement. Would Wike have retired quietly without going rogue if he got nothing from Tinubu? Why does Tinubu like to renege on his word? A very bad character for a president. He did same to Elrufai. Don't promise what you cannot fulfil. |
MarketDispatch:It tells us that under state police, it will be the policemen doing the flogging and not the thugs. |
Unilaterally writing off domestic debts owed to the federal government like a monarch while massively piling up foreign debts to be repaid from taxpayers' sweat. |
richmond500:Lol. In charge of what? Northern or Southern votes? The Atiku/Obi ticket in 2019 pulled 11m votes against a Buhari with cult-like followings. Tinubu is not Buhari and he has no organic followers anywhere. Not in the North and certainly not in the South. Unlike Buhari whose popularity singlehandedly made others governors, Tinubu is banking on riding on the popularity of governors. It won't be enough. The governors may deliver themselves but still fail to deliver Tinubu. We saw it happen in several APC states in 2023. |
Igirigimercenar:Obi never explicitly said that. Pay no mind to the Agbado-affiliated media. He simply clarified that he's in the coalition to view for the ticket. |
This is Animal Farm by George Orwell being replicated in real life. Surreal! |
yemmit90:Lol. You all think you can effortlessly shape-shift as you please without any shame right? I think all you wrote above should be addressed to Bayo Onanuga, the president's spokesman. This was him trying to set the North against Obi barely a month ago when you all were vehemently against America's intervention. What changed?
