Tinubu’s fate in the Southsouth will be sealed depending on how he handles the Wike-Fubara matter. He currently thinks he has both camps because Wike and Fubara appear to be supporting him but he would lose the support of one of the camps as soon as he picks a side. My money is on him to ditch Fubara because a desperate Wike with his back against the wall is a dangerous Wike. Tinubu would want none of that smoke. |
seunmsg:Were you not aware of his demands previously? Why now pretend? Same you that celebrated the sacking of Ganduje and the viability of the Tinubu/Kwankwaso ticket on here? Everybody knows Tinubu was gearing up to betray Shettima and replace him with Kwankwaso but folded when Shettima and the APC Northeast bloc revolted. Same way he will fold up on Fubara by ditching him for Wike. [quote author=seunmsg post=138009874]"I wish I were dreaming and could wake up to find that Governor Abba K. Yusuf's move to the APC is untrue." – Sen. Kwankwaso Aminda, come o. E be like say your darling Kwakwanso don dey see spirit o. Everywhere just blur when he heard that Abba Yusuf is going to APC ![]() . He's setting the tone for the betrayal narrative that will further sink Tinubu in the North. Why else did you think Tinubu panicked and quickly postponed Abba's defection so he can beg Kwankwaso some more? Make no mistakes, Tinubu will be offering him that V.P ticket. Desperado has no choice. ADC's winning strategy have already factored the possibility of a Tinubu/Kwankwaso ticket. The party is not dying to have him in their ranks but he will be a monumental addition. It's Tinubu who desperately needs him. https://www.nairaland.com/8592443/kano-governor-abba-yusuf-postpones

seunmsg:If it's speculations, we will know whether the defection will still happen on Monday as scheduled or not. Tinubu panicked. Just like he will in Rivers by dumping Fubara for Wike. |
kpakpakpa:But even Tinubu does not share your confidence. He's seeking for more time to beg Kwankwaso. Do you know more than him? |
Kdon2:Lol. Tinubu fear pass me o. Follow the latest developments on the matter in the thread below. Defection don gey k-leg o. We will all learn politics together. https://www.nairaland.com/8592443/kano-governor-abba-yusuf-postpones |
seunmsg:Lol. Is Abba no longer enough for you? You must know more than your principal, Tinubu who's still begging. Abba might end up crawling back to his godfather and seeking forgiveness. Kwankwaso's defection to the ADC will still happen after that. Tinubu has shown his hands. We will all learn this politics together. |
Lol. When we told Agbadorians that Abba is nothing without his godfather, they thought we were joking. Now Tinubu is ordering the governor to postpone his defection while he continues to beg Kwankwaso. He's scared stiff of the opposition poaching Kwankwaso. Tinubu, you know what to do. Dropping Ganduje is not enough, you must also drop Shettima and concede 5 ministerial slots plus full control of the APC Northwest structure. Nothing less will be accepted! |
Why are APC desperate to still posture with the Kwankwasiyya Movement when the leader of the movement has made it clear that the defection does not have his blessings? |
In one breadth, they want extra conservatism but quickly scream "Southern unity" when they are in a tight corner. Why not stay in one place? Is it going to be extra conservatism or Southern unity? Let us know. |
richmond500:I'll be here to tell you that I told you so. "Agreement is agreement". Tinubu should have used a long spoon before dining with the devil. |
This is Tinubu's legacy in Rivers state. He's willing to burn the state to the ground just to secure votes. Rivers indigenes all seem to be captured with every faction outdoing themselves in proving that they can stand better on the mandate than the other. Surreal! This is not the Rivers Rotimi Amaechi envisioned. |
richmond500:Dey play! Tinubu only respects brute strength and Fubara has proven to be weak. Tinubu will ditch him for Wike. Wait and see |
Wike's current praises for Tinubu will be a throw-back when he inevitably falls out with Tinubu in the very near future. |
richmond500:What if APC throws Sim Fubara under the bus in favour of Wike's faction, as will most likely happen? Will Tinubu still be your darling daddy? Lessons will be learnt! Mods are not even showing their bias anymore. Can similar personal threads in favour of opposition make Nairaland frontpage? |
yomi531:Okay, Yomi. Just do you. No-one will force you to do what you don't want to do, Yomi. Goodbye, Yomi. The handles of most of you pushing this position seem to all come from one region. Seems suspicious. Have the APC bots been unleashed? |
NEIGHBOUR:That should make you happy now, shouldn't it? Continue to study Obi like a degree but you will never graduate. |
integrity16:Because Elrufai's position on banditry was very clear, "The only repentant bandit is a dead one". Elrufai swore never to pay bandits nor negotiate with them and proposed for the carpet-bombing of the forests. You are correct, Mattawalle negotiated with them as governor of Zamfara which saw them migrating to states like Kaduna that refused to negotiate. He also apparently introduced it at the Federal level as minister of defence. Who is to say they won't resume their attacks as soon as the money stops coming, just as they did in Zamfara. Would you rather the bandits cease attacks in Kaduna and migrate to Kwara to continue their business? Is that your own definition of progress? Pathetic! |
Everyone now knows where the pendulum will be swinging and are catching space. No time to check time. |
zeenaman:Maybe Tinubu should not have destroyed the Labour then. A third force would have benefitted him, just like in 2023. He has now inadvertently united the opposition. This is the disadvantage of thinking you are too clever. His fate is sealed. |
BarrElChapo:As long as the primaries are transparent, Obi will stay back and support the winner. The stakes in 2027 are higher than any one man's ambition. |
BarrElChapo:He already told you. He will stay back and support the winner. He has mentioned severally that he's not desperate to become president in 2027 but write this down, Peter Obi will rule this country. It's written in the stars. |
seunmsg:Lol. I know even you don't believe what you're saying. Kwakwanso used an unknown NNPP to displace the incumbent APC from Kano after a previous election was won via inconclusive, yet, he's nobody without Abba Gida. Tell Tinubu to concede that V.P slot to him now. It's not too late. |
seunmsg:This was you prematurely calling the election in favour of Tinubu/Kwankwaso against an Atiku/Obi ticket. Then, Shettima wasn't even good enough. What now happens in an alliance between the trio of Atiku/Obi/Kwankwaso against a Tinubu/Shettima/Abba Gida ticket?
|
seunmsg:Lol. You will change your mouth again if he agrees to work with Tinubu today. It also doesn't change the fact that Ganduje and co in the Kano APC now knows that Tinubu was willing to throw them all under the bus just to secure his own re-election and has even partially done that with the defection of Abba. They know he's only sticking with them now because the desirable isn't available. Watch out for their tacit revenge. |
noleflendum:Excuse you. Who are you again? |
noleflendum:No. I said the North made him President with 5.6m votes. He was soundly and outrightly rejected in the South and will be rejected again come 2027. |
RichBoy247:Why not? Tinubu has no certificate, yet he's president. |
seunmsg:Atiku is not yet president but they are already doing that and opening new fronts in Kogi and Kwara under Tinubu's muslim-muslim watch. "When it comes to issues of security, the bulk stops at the president's desk" - Tinubu to President Jonathan |
seunmsg:What should we say to the victims of the Owo church massacre and to Olu Falae whom Tinubu undermined their pains by asking, "Where are the cows?". We know he did it in order not to anger his base, the "Islamic extremists" for the sake of votes. |
seunmsg:Lol. From where to where? Lies won't take you anywhere. After his dollar-stuffing video, Buhari still went to Kano and raised Ganduje's hand, drawing anger and condemnation from Kanawa. How did Elrufai work against Ganduje? Do you admit he was that strong? Keep spinning narratives. Few months ago, you were jubilating the sack of Ganduje as APC chairman and the impending defection of Kwankwaso to APC but now, you have settled for Abba and Ganduje is finally strong once again. Masters of use and dump. Don't be surprised if Ganduje himself works against you in the presidential elections. He does not forgive.
|
Tinubu has only one silver bullet; counting on the governors to deliver him. He's not like Buhari who's popularity was enough to make others governors and senators. He initially thought he could succeed in destroying all opposition parties but has rather made Atiku and Obi unite. His backstabbing of Kwankwaso is even making Kwankwaso consider joining the ADC. He has no pathway to re-election. |
