It's an indictment on the president to say Plateau state can only be factored into federal government's policies and programmes when he decamps to the APC. Why not be transparent to say you decamped to secure your own 250 billion? Makinde feels shortchanged because he was only offered 30 billion for all his troubles after being promised 50 billion. |
Tell Lagos state to first return the 150 billion they got from Tinubu in the first tranche. Did the federal government announce the donation when it was being given? Nigerians only got to know through a leaked memo after Makinde came for Tinubu. This was how Tinubu quietly disbursed the subsidy savings to settle political favours and subsidize the Southwestern states while borrowing astronomically. The next cash cow they are selling is taxation. |
Wike will soon play Tinubu his tape of how he made him President should Tinubu dare try to betray him in favour of Fubara. Agbadorians are currently confused on who to support between the duo. A little while ago, they called Fubara a betrayer but can no longer do so because they are about to ditch Wike. What a time to be an Agbadorian! Tinubu's pack of cards are already beginning to fall starting from Rivers state. Many politicians in several states where Tinubu has brokered deals to secure his own re-election hold similar sentiments as Wike. They are just not bold enough to voice out yet. |
Svoboda:Tinubu has selfishly sacrificed political ambitions in virtually all states to secure his own re-election. He must think he is a monarch or something. The revolt will be unprecedented. Reminds one of the quote by a king at war in mediaeval times; "Some of you may die but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make". |
Gotocourt:Abeg no too loud am. We will all learn politics together. |
Richtaiwo:Same way you were triggered by the topic, innit? |
seunmsg:Just Plateau? I thought APC now has 30 governors, shouldn't that be 30 states in the bag? Jonathan had 28 governors by the way and he didn't have to coerce, induce or destroy their parties to get them to defect, but he still ended up losing his re-election. Time is a gentleman. |
Richtaiwo:Why are you bothered. The possibility of that is making you all uneasy right? Don't worry, more intrigues are on the way. Tinubu has no pathway to re-election. |
Agbadorians will claim that the people of Plateau are now falling over themselves to vote Tinubu because Caleb Muftwang have decamped just to get his nomination forms signed. There is no Muftwang without Jonah Jang. Meanwhile, the traditional APC people in Plateau are silently aggrieved that they have been displaced but not all can be as bold as Wike is. They will protest with their nonchalance or sabotage. Lessons will be learnt! |
LegendHero:The Southwest voted Buhari against a Southern Jonathan because it was a Fulani/Yoruba ticket. Simple and short. Don't try to sugar-coat it. It's ironic that you now parade yourselves as the Southern candidate after disenfranchising Jonathan and nearly disenfranchising Obi from the race. Here we go again with the played out cliché of celebrating defected governors. I ask you again, would any of these governors be defecting today if they are sure that their nomination forms will be signed by their parties? Why do you celebrate what you forcefully engineered and think it is equivalent to love and acceptance? 2023 proved that the Nigerian electorates are getting mature and aware. APC won gubernatorial elections in the Southeast but Tinubu failed to win a single state there. Same thing happened in SS except for Rivers and we know the circumstances surrounding that. Not all the governors will be willing to shed their people's blood just to deliver Tinubu. Okowa couldn't deliver himself as a V.P candidate with power of incumbency. Despite the clamour by respected Northern figures that power should head South, Atiku won all the states in the NE and NW except for 3 states that were won by Tinubu. The margins will only be higher come 2027 because Tinubu has lost ground tremendously in the North. What incentive will a tried and failed Yorubaman running a muslim-muslim ticket offer to a self-respecting christian or Southerner that will make him ditch a mixed ticket of an Atiku/Obi? Turn of the South? Which part of the South? |
ryloy:Lol. You wish. Show us the Plateau people on the streets celebrating his defection and promising to now vote Tinubu. Like the rest of his counterparts, he's defecting because there's no one in the PDP to sign his form, thanks to Tinubu. |
LegendHero:Lol. Politics is a zero-sum game. Has Tinubu lost voters or not? If he has, who has he lost it to? Northern votes will be shared but Southern votes are exclusively Tinubu's right? Did the South even vote Tinubu in 2023? Do you think the Tinubu of 2023 that came with so much hope, promise and branding is the same tried and failed Tinubu that will be facing the electorates in terms of popularity xome 2027? If Tinubu had not engineered leadership crisis in the PDP, LP, etc, none of these governors will be defecting today. Their defections is not a testament of Tinubu's popularity. It is a means of survival. |
LegendHero:Are you willing to stake your scrotal sac that all middlebelt will now vote Tinubu and his muslim-muslim ticket? Your tin-god is still chasing after Kwankwaso to replace Shettima because he still can't do without the 5.6m hausa/fulani muslim votes that brought him to power but here you are allocating votes to Tinubu because you have induced and coerced governors to decamp. Be wary that attempting to play both sides may eventually result to you ending up with none. You're not as sleek as you think you are. Don't also forget that the SS, SE and "middlebelt" have all voted Atiku and Obi in the past, both individually and collectively. But they have no history of voting Tinubu, the APC nor a muslim-muslim ticket. Don't also forget that the section of the Northcentral that contributed to Tinubu's 2023 victory are the Muslim parts which is also very significant. The marauding fulanis you speak of is a legacy of the Tinubu-led APC, buoyed by a muslim-muslim ticket. |
A thread for Agbadorians to express their fear and trepidation for what's coming. |
NewHe:Don't be politically naïve. If it wasn't the explosion, it would have been something else. Don't forget over 900 billion naira was disbursed under the so-called "Special Intervention Funds". We understand even Lagos got 150 billion naira. Was there an explosion in Lagos? Even the 1 billion naira being offered to members of the national assembly is captured under constituency allowance. This is the heist going on under this government that we are talking about. As for Seyi Makinde, we heard it from the horse's mouth. Tinubu made him nominate a candidate for Oyo unsolicited only to do away with his choice. Politicians hate being made a fool of and it appears Tinubu is a master of promise and fail. |
Lol. This one has been on a meltdown since the 31st with several threads created on Obi. If that is the case, shouldn't you be happy? |
He is not. |
Is Sim Fubara indirectly calling Nyerishi a chihuahua? Tinubu's re-election in the SS will be won and lost depending on how he handles this Wike and Fubara matter. My money is on Tinubu capitulating to Wike's demand out of fear because like all bullies, he only respects brute show of force. |
Tareq1105:Lol. You must either be too young or dishonest. It was an open secret. Even Bisi Akande in his latest book, claimed Buhari reneged after promising Tinubu the V.P slot. You support Tinubu, why should whatever ADC does bother you? I guess it's because you want the best for the party. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/07/how-tinubu-jostled-to-be-vp-on-muslim-muslim-ticket-to-buhari-atiku/amp/

LibertyRep:No. Obi and Elrufai began talks about the coalition even before a platform was agreed upon. Obi is not a new-comer in the coalition talks. He has been a part of it from day one. |
Okay, how old is Tinubu? Pat Utomi is the Tinubu man who Reno Omokri kept accusing of luring Obi away from the PDP in order to split opposition votes in 2023. He and the likes of Doyin Okupe who later jumped ship immediately after the election. He has no polling unit to deliver and Obi has clocked them already. Making his declaration in Enugu is symbolic. Obi no longer represents himself but the political interests of his region. He is the convener and pioneer of the coalition and he will take an unemotional decision. That is why he keeps saying that he's not desperate to become president in 2027. APC are now claiming the V.P position is a spare tyre but Tinubu wanted to become V.P to Buhari in 2015 but for muslim-muslim. He ended up nominating Osinbajo and the rest is history. — ~Hatitude (@Hatitude3) January 2, 2026 |
Tareq1105:Lol. Spare tyre indeed. Tinubu wanted to be a spare tyre to Buhari in 2015 but it was rejected due to muslim-muslim factor. He ended up nominating Yemi Osinbajo and became president after. Jonathan was also a "spare tyre" to Yar'adua and he ended up becoming president. Even now, Tinubu is scheming to drop Spare Tyre Shettima for Spare Tyre Kwankwaso because he needs that hausa/fulani muslim votes badly. You must really think your gaslighting is fooling anyone. Tinubu will have no pathway to re-election. Just wait and see. |
NewHe:Was Seyi Makinde not promised 50 billion naira plus one ministerial slot? Only for Tinubu to renege by paying only 30 billion without the ministerial slot. If he can promise that before subsidy removal, why should we doubt he's doling out even more now that he’s clearly more desperate than ever? |
To what end? Peter Mbah, the governor of Enugu does not even put the APC's logo on his PR posters. Most of them decamped prematurely because they thought Tinubu has succeeded in destroying every opposition party by engineering leadership crisis in them. They never envisioned Obi aligning with Atiku under one banner. The momentum from the opposition leading into 2027 will be so high that a lot of them will rue their decision to decamp. |

Agbadorians are having a meltdown with this news. Reality is beginning to stare them all in the face. It's a known fact that Tinubu usurped the turn of the Southeast in 2023. To add insult to injury, he won and instead of carrying the whole South along, he prioritised his ethnicity while Gbadorians embarked upon the most puerile ethnic campaign against the SE this country have ever seen. He didn't stop there, he sent Nnamdi Kanu to prison, a feat that even Buhari kept stalling on. Determined that no one from the SE should challenge him, he engineered crisis in the LP in order to disenfranchise Obi. Never in their whole life did he envision that Obi will champion a coalition without desperation and unite the opposition. Assuming but not conceding that Obi will accept the VP role, it brings the SE closer to the corridors of power faster than what APC can promise with the sure assurance of becoming president in as little as 4 years time. The APC has already zoned the V.P slot to the SS in 2031. The earliest time they can factor the SE into the power equation is in 2039 and that is still a probability. |
Freetech:Lol. Agbadorians sef. Reality is beginning to stare you all in the face. It's a known fact that Tinubu usurped the turn of the Southeast in 2023. HacheNoire:Where will his votes come from? From the North or from the Southwest? Muftwang has decamped to the APC and no one noticed. The people are indifferent and uninterested. Compare with the shockwaves from Obi's Enugu declaration yesterday. APC is counting on defected governors but that's a rookie mistake. Ask anyone residing in Enugu, Mbah does not put the APC logo on his promotional posters and billboards. |
Richtaiwo:Lol. Is that a prayer point or a statement of fact? Go check the 2023 electoral map. Study the number of APC states Atiku won in the north and the number of opposition states Obi won in the South. Even Okowa couldn't deliver himself as a vice presidential candidate and a sitting governor. The people of Delta still had the presence of mind to vote Sheriff, demonstrating their intentionality and dynamism of their choices. Ask yourself, if Tinubu and Wike have not colluded to destroy the PDP and LP, ensuring that their forms will not get signed, will these governors be defecting to the APC? If no, then know that coercion can't win you votes. |
yarimo:Tinubu was the only candidate in 2023 who failed to win his own state among all the presidential aspirants. Going by your logic, Tinubu is irrelevant. Before you come back saying "but he's the president". Yes, he's the president thanks to Northern votes. He was summarily rejected and defeated in the South. |
Natasha dared them all till the end, called their bluff and defeated them with her knees unbent, head unbowed and spirit unbroken. "This injustice will not be sustained!" What a woman! |
