Salewa97:Planning to throw him under the bus already? We always knew the Southwest will lead the most venomous vitriol against Wike as soon as Tinubu betrays him. We've seen it happen time after time. That's what you all call the master strategy. |
What will Bayo Onanuga now say for inviting Donald Trump to invade Nigeria with cruise misiles? It is an admittance of failure and there's no reason to seek re-election if you're too weak or too incompetent to secure Nigeria. |
NgeneUkwenu:Okay, NgeneUkwenu. Since you insist, that's fine. But I thought you were done with the Born to Rule people and will be handing over to a Christian from the middlebelt? Why still scrambling for Hausa/Fulani votes? Won't you pick a place and stand? You are promising all regions and religions the ticket at the same time. Lol.
|
damola1:Damola, are you already pivoting from Ribadu and Shettima to Kwankwaso? Once upon a time during the 2023 elecions, it was Elrufai. Where is Ganduje today? How many people are you all going to promise the ticket to? You all think you haven't been clocked yet right? |
seunmsg:Lol. It has to be a Seun. Don't just come back saying you were betrayed. |
Richtaiwo:Taiwo, do you reside in the North? Isn't it concerning to you how ALL those making such postulations about Tinubu's prospects have names sounding like yours? Anyways, time is a gentleman. |
Okoroawusa:Why pay me any mind? Come back and compare notes after 2027 elections. Tinubu did more damage working with Kwankwaso to run as a separate candidate in 2023 than he will do having Kwankwaso in the APC come 2027. Time is a gentleman. |
Bimokas:Betrayed by Tinubu as expected. Same as Shettima. These series of betrayals will come back to haunt Tinubu. Tinubu did more damage working with Kwankwaso to run as a separate candidate in 2023 than he will do having Kwankwaso in the APC come 2027. |
FreeStuffsNG:Okay, political Einstein. Come back and compare notes after 2027 elections. |
Melezenawii:Even Tinubu does not share in your confidence. All the defections have failed to give him momentum among the electorates. He is paranoid. ADC will form the next government come 2027.
|
Long expected. Tinubu to cast Shettima aside as usual. 2027 will be a battle between the first and fourth candidate versus the second and third candidates from the 2023 elections. My money is on Atiku/Obi. |
chicfarmer:You are wrong. Read the memo again. This time, slowly. Oyo state listed in that document is part of the outstanding disbursements that are yet to be paid due to paucity of funds.
|
Everyone knows Europe is France as far as Tinubu is concerned. He will be back with new instructions from his master. |
zionstaar75:"...leaving an outstanding balance of N464.7 billion naira as outlined below" You may be punching below your weight as far as intellect is concerned but if that document shows anything, it is that FG failed to disburse that amount to Oyo state as intended. |
Reference:He has refuted it and asked Fayose to provide proof. Fayose hasn't done that as this is no proof. FG has not also come out to say they gave Makinde such amount.
|
Wike will soon learn that Tinubu and the Southwest's words are not bankable. Elrufai also did a lot in the North, appealing to the conscience of young Northerners to keep their words and support Tinubu in 2023 only for Tinubu to betray him despite asking him publicly to stay behind and work with him. Tinubu will not think twice before throwing Wike under the bus. |
A request for disbursement is not tantamount to money being released, although I expect Tinubu's camp to lap it up. Wale Edun already told us the budget was largely unfunded with a lot of revenue shortfalls. If core capital projects from 2024 are still being carried over into 2026 with trillions owed to local contractors, are we to believe that the Tinubu government was magnanimous enough to release a 50 billion naira largesse to Seyi Makinde simply because it was requested for?
|
mastermaestro:He that is down need fear no fall. Wike is like a fly perched on the scrotal sac of the ruling party. He must be handled with care. |
Hoelujohn:You're correct. Tinubu has boxed himself into a corner. Lessons will be learnt. |
This what Tinubu has done to our democracy out of desperation to be the only candidate on the ballot come 2027. These parties were without problems barely 3 years ago. In that desperation, he has unknowingly united the first and second runner-up candidates in the 2023 election under one umbrella. That will eventually be his waterloo come 2027. |
Otamendi99:Small nyash dey shake. You are a closet Tinubu supporter, we know. Who will the South then vote for? Tinubu? The North gave Tinubu more votes in 2023 than the South. The North also gave Atiku more votes in 2023 than the South. To blow your mind, the North still managed to give Obi half of his votes in 2023. All the votes that the fourth contestant, Kwankwaso, got were all from the North. Numbers don't lie. Don't think you can now sell Tinubu as the Southern candidate after being the Muslim-Muslim candidate in 2023. Nigerians are smarter than that. The South still won't vote Tinubu in a landslide come 2027. Not even the Southwest will. |
Truthissupreme:Despite having virtually all the 36 state governors, APC will be fielding a Tinubu/Kwankwaso ticket in 2027 (yes, Kwankwaso is on his way to APC). It is only common sense to have an Atiku/Obi ticket in ADC. Obi knows it already but I doubt some Obidients do. It will be a battle between the first and the fourth candidate in 2023 vs the second and third candidate. My money is on Atiku/Obi ticket to triumph. By 2031 or 2039 (depending on horsetrading and concessions), if Obi also confidently declares Emi Lokan, no one will question his demand, just like no one did with Tinubu. Politics is not an emotional sport. |
muykem:How many votes can the Southsouth muster and how many votes did Obi secure in SS in 2023 when he had more momentum? What are the opportunity costs for forgoing the SS votes in 2027? The SS are already positioning as a region for their own interests. Is the Southeast doing the same or is it going to be the age-long bragadoccio of "SE do not need the presidency"? Presidential elections are not won with only one skewed reality in mind. |
Mrfixitt:What are the odds that are against him? Are those odds in the North or in the South? Who has the prospects of bringing a larger number of votes with the current realities on ground? Just manage your expectations coming into the ADC or vote Tinubu in peace. No one will be stepping down for anyone in the ADC. It's a coalition and there will be a transparent primary process. Obi himself is aware and will participate in the primaries but you can continue to grandstand online. We have an election to prepare for. Bye. |
Wike is sending an indirect reminder to Tinubu that agreement is agreement. It's a veiled threat to justify his going rogue should Tinubu renege on that agreement. Tinubu already agreed with Wike that Fubara is a one-term governor and he must keep to his word or risk the ire of Wike. |
Mrfixitt:Here we go again. The right thing was also for Tinubu to step aside and support a candidate from the Southeast in 2023 but he didn't because power is not served on a plate. You have to give to receive. Tinubu gave to the APC in 2015 and rightfully received when it was time (hence, Emi Lokan). That's political horsetrading. The ADC is a new arrangement and a coalition. The party will consider its strengths and weaknesses and choose its candidate through a transparent primary open to ALL candidates. Whoever is not comfortable with this arrangement should not bother joining the party and go try their luck elsewhere. |
Why have they all been running from pillar to post on this? What are we missing? |
"Wike and Fubara are now living in peace. They may soon get married" - NgeneUkwenu We will all learn politics together. |
Says someone that "contested" to be ambassador until he was blindsided. We have always maintained that ambition and greed will sink this marriage of strange bedfellows called APC. The cracks are beginning to show, and it's only downhill from here. A lot of people including Uba Sani are posturing to be Vice president. Some will throw their own mothers under the bus in order to actualise this. |
aribisala0:Tinubu won only 2 states in the entire Northwest but won the region overall amongst all contestants. I don't have to teach you mathematics if you can't do the numbers. Many APC governors in the North and South ( Ebonyi, Imo, Cross Rivers, Lagos) failed to deliver Tinubu in the presidential election despite winning their own elections under the APC comfortably. Goes to show you how unpopular Tinubu is and why the 36 state governors decamping to APC will not save him. |
aribisala0:Tinubu got 400k votes in Kaduna. Show me any Southwestern state aside Lagos where he polled better than that. I'll wait. The victory of Tinubu in the North lies in the North giving 5.6m votes despite having a Northerner, Atiku on the ballot. Add these numbers to Atiku's 7m tally and tell me how Tinubu could have won the election. He only got 2m votes in the South. |
aribisala0:Betrayers will always find an excuse. Tinubu did not win Lagos so Gbajabiamila, Obasa and Sanwo-olu worked against his re-election. How many APC states with APC governors did Tinubu win in 2023? Ibadan and Rivers that he managed to "win" were not APC states. Discount that from the number of states he won and you will find out how unpopular Tinubu was in 2023. Wike's successor, Fubara did not also have any good rhong to say about Wike but it took Wike declaring a State of Emergency in Rivers to get Fubara to fall in line. Only for Tinubu to characteristically throw Wike under the bus again when it looked like he no longer needs his service. |
