PoliticsRe: Nasir El-Rufai Campaigns For ADC In Chikun by AMINDA: 6:09am On Aug 14, 2025
Osebanjo:
Looks like when power is finally returning to North, it probably will be Kwakwanso.
It's no longer Ribadu nor Shettima because Kwankwaso is now the new bride being courted by Tinubu? By this time prior to the election in 2023, it used to be Elrufai before your man Friday betrayed him. Why does an Osebanjo think he can choose a leader for the North? Funny. Elrufai is a major reason why Tinubu is bleeding votes in the North. By 2027, they might be nothing left.
PoliticsRe: AON Lacks Power To Ban Passengers – Aviation Experts by AMINDA: 6:26am On Aug 13, 2025
They are simply setting themselves up for painful litigations that will make them go bankrupt. Anyone who books a flight and ends up getting banned from travelling by AON will simply sue and demand for compensation and damages.
PoliticsRe: Governor Soludo Declares Support For Tinubu’s Second Term by AMINDA: 6:14am On Aug 13, 2025
Insignificant. Who did Soludo support in 2023 when Peter Obi cleared Anambra? We know he didn't support Obi. Not with the open letter that he wrote to him. Influence of Southern politicians on their people's political choices are overstated. And yes, this cuts across the entire South except in Southwest where the APC are now stoking tribal sentiments as a strategy to shore up support for Tinubu. And that strategy is counterproductive because it's costing Tinubu votes in the other Southern regions at a time when he desperately needs Southern solidarity.
PoliticsRe: Senator Wadada Dumps SDP And Defects To APC by AMINDA: 6:07am On Aug 13, 2025
DeLaRue:
Can someone mention 6 out of the 19 states where the President will not get at least 25% of the votes.

Yet, it is highly likely that ADC led by Mr Atiku (without Mr Obi as his vice) will not get 25% of the votes in any State in the South.

I struggle to see how Mr Atiku can win in 2027.
If you're now looking to get only 25% of votes from areas you got over 50% before, how are you projecting to win? Tinubu securing only 25% of all Northern states can still not make him President. If Atiku will not secure 25% in any Southern state, does it mean Tinubu will win the entire South including the Southsouth and Southeast? If not, where then does Tinubu intend to make up for the Northern votes he has potentially lost and how does he intend to secure the majority votes even if he gets 25% in all 36 states? Simply ask yourself, Is he winning over new Southern voters at the same rate he's losing Northern votes?
PoliticsRe: Senator Wadada Dumps SDP And Defects To APC by AMINDA: 5:57am On Aug 13, 2025
WhizdomXX:
APC keeps getting more members daily. Now officially nearing the 2/3rd needed for a supermajority. This is Nassarawa, a State PO clearly won in 2027.
Why are you all fixated on elite politicians instead of the people? Was Wadada in LP when PO won Nassarawa? If he was that influential, why didn't he deliver the state to his party? Why didn't the sitting APC governor deliver Nassarawa state to Tinubu? We all learn politics together by 2027.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Targeting David Mark After Tambuwal, Ihedioha – ADC by AMINDA: 5:52am On Aug 13, 2025
They should continue. However hard they try, they can't coerce everybody to join the APC. Even Sheriff and Okowa who hastily decamped to save their skin are ruefully regretting their decision now. The backlash from their people was unprecedented.
PoliticsRe: ‘Criminally Smart’; Politicians Now Declaring Assets Before Acquiring Them. EFCC by AMINDA: 9:54pm On Aug 12, 2025
Captain Obvious. If he thinks this is a new revelation, then we are in soup.
PoliticsRe: Tambuwal: Let Your Anti-corruption War be non-partisan and apply To All - Obi by AMINDA: 7:55pm On Aug 12, 2025
Even if he jails all the opposition leaders before the elections in 2027, he will be defeated from detention. "The guy is gone!"
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Makes Key Appointments To University Governing Councils by AMINDA: 7:53pm On Aug 12, 2025
Agbadorians will add these appointments to the list of achievements.
PoliticsRe: I'm Supporting Tinubu Because of the Economy And Structural Reforms - Soludo by AMINDA: 7:49pm On Aug 12, 2025
Softmirror:
Dem don hack your Nairaland account? 🧐
It's a known fact that people with single digit IQ find it impossible to decode sarcasm. They just don't have the range. Best believe, "The guy is gone".
PoliticsRe: I'm Supporting Tinubu Because of the Economy And Structural Reforms - Soludo by AMINDA: 7:38pm On Aug 12, 2025
MadamExcellency:
He supported Tinubu in 2023 and Peter Obi won by 96% in Anambra and Lathe bour Party snatched many Assembly slots from APGA.
But APC has 21 governors not including some opposition governors that have pledged to support Tinubu. Isn't that tantamount to victory in at least 21 states for him? We will all learn politics together.
PoliticsRe: I’m Now The Self-imposed Director General Of The Tinubu Campaign For 2027-Bargo by AMINDA: 7:33pm On Aug 12, 2025
WizardOfNG:
Lol. Listen to Bago. Some of us, as we did in 2022 to insist North will support Tinubu to win, told The fans of Northern supremacist and born-to-rule hegemonists, like Aminda etal, that young and ambitious serving Northern politicians, with eye on greater future political office/greatness, will never do "abobaku" for the selfish ambition of Atiku.

Rather, regardless of their private feelings about Tinubu, they will work to ensure he returns in 2027 so that the partnership, especially with Yorubas, that guarantees equitable and rancour-free power transition between the North and South is maintained for the sake of their own future ambition and not because of any special love for Tinubu or Yorubas.

Politics is a game of permanent interest, at least for political stakeholders, and not blind devotion to ethno-religious dogma Atiku and ADC are trying invoke.
Lol. Why do you keep seeking my validation? Simply make your comments and move on. If you truly believe that Tinubu has won the North again because Bago is his self-imposed campaign director, why not proceed to celebrate his victory? You seem agitated. I believe you have demystified the "Northern supremacist and born-to-rule hegemonists", why then does their vote mean so much to you?

APC has virtually all the governors and elites on their side but for some reason, they don't seem confident of victory. They would rather hound all opposition politicians and attempt to scuttle all political parties in order to run unopposed. The signs are there for the discerning.
PoliticsRe: I Rejected Offers To Work In His Government - Peter Obi (video) by AMINDA: 5:48pm On Aug 12, 2025
Tinubu thinks he can buy out all his opposition via inducement. When that fails, he uses coercion via the instrumentality of state.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi “tinubu 'offered Me A Lot' — But I Refused To Join His Govt!” by AMINDA: 5:47pm On Aug 12, 2025

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Platform Called Northerners Illiterate - Ex-SGF, Babachir Lawal by AMINDA:
Dotherightthing:
Tinubu supported Buhari to be president. The north had to repay the debt. Thank you.
How many votes did Tinubu contribute to Buhari’s victory. Did Northerners claim to have demystified the Southwest after Buhari won. A lot of the projects undertaken by Buhari were in the Southwest, like Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Lagos-Ibadan Railway, Lekki Deep Sea Port, Badagry road, etc. Anyways, Northerners always pay their debts and they have paid their debt. Now they are even with Tinubu and owe him nothing. Not with the betrayal.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Platform Called Northerners Illiterate - Ex-SGF, Babachir Lawal by AMINDA: 8:32am On Aug 12, 2025
phorget:
“The problem with the Yoruba is that when you support them and they win, they behave as if they have subdued you. They will not count your support,” the former SGF said...

The above statement is just exactly who they are!
We see this a lot even here on Nairaland. Agbadorians now claim Tinubu has demystified the North. This was after Northerners rallied round him and supported him with 5.6m votes to make him President. Look at how he even repaid Elrufai, his most vocal campaigner from the North in 2023. Ungrateful lots.
PoliticsRe: BoT, NEC, Others Endorse Nafiu Bala As Acting ADC National Chairman by AMINDA: 10:34pm On Aug 11, 2025
All of the APC trolls all gathered here straight from the WhatsApp group. These particular move is already played out and it's beginning to look like a carpenter with only a hammer in his toolkit. ADC is ahead and forging on. Never seen a self-proclaimed "fighter for democracy" that is so scared of a competitive election.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu, Kwankwaso's Ally Jibrin Meet Again In Abuja by AMINDA: 9:05pm On Aug 11, 2025
While Agbadorians are saying Tinubu has demystified the North, their tin-god is getting pensive and doing everything to pacify the North and strike a deal. Is Shettima and Ganduje not good enough? Why is Tinubu desperate to replace a loyal Shettima with Kwankwaso? Anyways, we will all learn politics together.
PoliticsRe: Breaking News: EFCC Arrests Aminu Tambuwal Over N189billion Scandal. by AMINDA: 9:03pm On Aug 11, 2025
They have seen the numbers. Absolutely no pathway to re-election.
PoliticsRe: Why PDP Agreed To Wike’s Demands by AMINDA: 12:22pm On Aug 11, 2025
The greatest checkmate to Wike was Atiku quietly leaving the PDP. Wike was rendered toothless, powerless and directionless by that move. Meanwhile, Atiku has a stronger platform in the ADC to potentially run for President while Wike is fast losing relevance with Tinubu. His next assignment will be to prevent Jonathan from getting the party ticket but that will further unravel him.
PoliticsRe: Osun People ‘ll Punish APC For ‘deliberately Withholding’ LG Allocations, by AMINDA: 8:27am On Aug 11, 2025
helinues:
How did temporary change of the administrator affect the people of Rivers state? Do that stop the government projects and policies, running of the government in the state by the Sole Administrator currently in the state?
Yes it did. Rivers state is now looking very dirty and unkempt. The Sole Adminustrator can afford to be complacent, afterall he wasn’t voted for. He isn't even from Rivers state and he can care less. The people of Rivers State voted Fubara as Governor.
PoliticsRe: Osun People ‘ll Punish APC For ‘deliberately Withholding’ LG Allocations, by AMINDA: 8:18am On Aug 11, 2025
helinues:
Fubara in Rivers state has moved on while you are still nursing the SOE in Rivers state as an injury.
You're small minded. Who told you it's about Fubara? If has moved on, have the people of Rivers State moved on? Tinubu just adjusted the SOE to grant the Sole Administrator powers to conduct local government elections. That's clearly illegal and unconstitutional but go on, continue to set the precedence. Nigerians are taking note.
PoliticsRe: Osun People ‘ll Punish APC For ‘deliberately Withholding’ LG Allocations, by AMINDA: 7:06am On Aug 11, 2025
State of Emergency in Rivers State. Withholding of local government allocations in Osun State. This is the decamping by coercion and inducement that we talk about. You can't buy love neither can you copy respect.
PoliticsRe: Gov Yusuf Welcomes New NNPP Defectors From Ganduje’s Camp by AMINDA: 6:44pm On Aug 10, 2025
The best time for Tinubu to build a Southern alliance was yesterday. The next best time is now. The North is gone! Tinubu humiliated Ganduje and even Shettima with how he handled the whole matter. He prioritised self-interest and was ready to throw his Northern allies and advocates to the curb. It was the same way he fumbled Elrufai. Now he's left with next-to-nothing in the North except pretenders and political hangers-on whom he mistakes for influential Northerners.
PoliticsRe: 2027 Permutations: Why Ganduje Lost Out by AMINDA: 1:18pm On Aug 10, 2025
Now that the move to bring in Kwankwaso has fallen flat on its face, Tinubu is now doing everything to pacify Ganduje by appointing some of his allies into positions. But the damage has already been done. Tinubu has shown that he was ready to jettison both Ganduje and Shettima without any remorse. Tinubu is never getting the same level of loyalty from them anymore. He's becoming increasingly isolated in the North.
PoliticsRe: APC Is The One Codedly Pushing Jonathan by AMINDA: 10:46pm On Aug 09, 2025
Lol. Obidients are beseeching GEJ to continue to be a statesman while Agbadorians have become emergency constitutional lawyers and are busy interpreting the constitution. GEJ contesting will be more detrimental to Tinubu than it will be to Obi.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Won Rivers State In 2023 – Rotimi Amaechi by AMINDA:
It was clear that Tinubu won only 4 states in the entire South. All four were from his Southwestern region and he couldn't even win Lagos and Osun, his state of residence and state of origin respectively. This calls into question, his posture as the Southern candidate. The South didn't vote Tinubu. Northerners made him President but today, Agbadorians claim that he has demystified the North just because he failed to show gratitude. "The North remembers" is not just a slogan. It's real fact. Jonathan coming into the race will be a nightmare for Tinubu because he'll have a stronger credential as the "Southern candidate" and he's free of every term encumbrance. He will make Tinubu bleed votes in the North due to recency bias.
PoliticsRe: Lere Olayinka Reacts After Sule Lamido Said Jonathan Is PDP’s Best Bet For 2027 by AMINDA:
No need to rewrite history. PDP imploded then because Jonathan reneged on a gentleman agreement that he had within his party. It's like Obi getting the ADC ticket now, winning the general election and then reneging on his promise to do only one term. Wike is in a dilemma with the prospect of GEJ joining the race as this clearly changes all permutations. The PDP (bar Wike) definitely needs him as a lifeline. This is a direct repercussion of Obi basing his candidacy on the promise of doing just a single term. Jonathan is known for taking advantage of circumstances but still he's eminently qualified to contest and he will take away most of the Northern and Southsouthern votes that Tinubu was hoping to get.
PoliticsRe: Fayemi And I Started The Opposition Coalition discussion - Rotimi Amaechi by AMINDA: 4:00pm On Aug 09, 2025
datola:
“I was the first Speaker at the age of 32 years and led the Rivers State Assembly for 8 years without being impeached,” he added.

Mr Rote! How is that an achievementhuh
How is being the youngest speaker ever in Nigeria and going two-terms without interruption not an achievement? Not only was he speaker during his time, he was Chairman of the forum of speakers across the 36 states of the federation. Amaechi has excelled in every task he has been saddled with. The records are there.
PoliticsRe: Fayemi And I Started The Opposition Coalition discussion - Rotimi Amaechi by AMINDA: 3:57pm On Aug 09, 2025
helinues:
Why has he not been bold enough to associate with the coalition.

Lol
So that the whole Yoruba race will label him a betrayer? Everyone has seen how you Yorubas have made Tinubu's presidency a Yoruba supremacy agenda but it's a bad approach to take. A lot of Southwesterners are displeased with Tinubu but can't voice out due to the backlash. They will secretly do the needful.

But they came with evidence. What's Akinbaloye's business with this.

Hahahaha, don't tell me you have shifted the blame from APC to Seun oo
Helinues, please put on your thinking cap for once. If they have evidence, why haven't they tendered it in court? And if they have, wouldn't speaking about a matter in court be regarded as contempt of court. Never in the history of this country have we had a government determined to undermine all political parties in the country. It is a dangerous and cowardly move. Try as they may, the Nigerian people will have an alternative in 2027.
