PoliticsRe: Projects Tied To The Recent Loan Request Sent To The Senate By President Tinubu by AMINDA: 7:46am On Jul 25, 2025
Everything they vilified Buhari for, they have done 10 times worse of that with no tangible results to show.
PoliticsRe: I'll Take Tough Decisions, Bring In More PDP Governors — New APC Chair, Yilwatda by AMINDA: 6:54am On Jul 25, 2025
ChiefOloye:
It's a nice move, winning is all that matters. It pains me that Asiwaju fought El Rufai. However I don't know what led to the fight and they're politicians.
When Tinubu inevitably loses his reelection bid, his betrayal of Elrufai will be remembered as the single most significant gaffe that led to his defeat. Bookmark this comment. He's been trying to replace Elrufai ever since then but has failed to find a suitable replacement in the North that is at par.
PoliticsRe: APC Power Chess: Yilwatda Pick Brightens Shettima, North East’s 2027 Chances by AMINDA:
adioolayi:
Na National Chairman APC picked so, without any form of internal resistance and everywhere calm...

National Chairman!!!!

For PDP to peacefully resolve the issue of National Secretary, it tore the party apart....and took them ages with the intervention of supreme court.

The other opposition, LP, till date, the issue of legitimate Excos of the party is still an issue.

If we come to the new opposition, ADC, the former Excos are also resisting the new acting Excos...wahala everywhere.

That's a huge difference between APC and other opposition parties.

Sunday wey go good, na from Saturday we go dey see signs
Even a fool knows that the President singlehandedly picked the National chairman and no one would dare go against him because of his vindictiveness. Don't let the graveyard silence fool you, the emperor-like style of Tinubu is only creating a lot of secretly disenchanted people within the party. Only the fearless with no corruption baggage like Elrufai can afford to leave. Others will stay behind and sabotage Tinubu in 2027.
PoliticsRe: APC Power Chess: Yilwatda Pick Brightens Shettima, North East’s 2027 Chances by AMINDA: 6:43am On Jul 25, 2025
Brighten what chance? Was the embarrassment and disrespect shown to Shettima worth it? Tinubu will gain nothing from retaining Shettima because the damage has already been irreparably done. The seed of distrust and betrayal have already been sown and the Northeast will remember! If he sticks with Shettima, it wouldn't be because he believes in him. It will be because of the perceived backlash from NE and because Kwankwaso has seemingly rejected his overtures despite going to Kano to bend the knee.
PoliticsRe: I'll Take Tough Decisions, Bring In More PDP Governors — New APC Chair, Yilwatda by AMINDA: 5:44am On Jul 25, 2025
A campaign strategy built around coercing and financially inducing opposition politicians to decamp to your party will inevitably fail. Despite all the series of defections to the APC, it has not given them any serious momentum. This is why the jitters persists in their camp.

PoliticsRe: Dear Kwankwaso: There Is No Lopsided Development Anywhere In The South. by AMINDA: 5:38am On Jul 25, 2025
Serious question. How does Tinubu intend to win the rest of the South outside of his Southwest region? By shouting it's the turn of the South? In 2023, it was "Emi lokan" but in 2027, it will be "turn of the south".
PoliticsRe: President Tinubu Meets World Bank Chiefs In Abuja by AMINDA: 4:51am On Jul 25, 2025
Tinubu's romance with the "Economic Hitmen" continues. He seems obsessed with implementing destructive policies of the Bretton Woods institutions just to gain validity and acceptance from the west but he's still not respected globally. Pleasing his slave masters at the detriment of his own citizens who are now forced to grapple with abject poverty is not the big flex that he thinks it is.
PoliticsRe: PDP Choses Ibadan For National Convention, Picks November 15 by AMINDA: 4:40am On Jul 25, 2025
raumdeuter:
Best thing for Tinubu is for PDP to present Bala Mohammed
If they zone it to the North. It will singlehandedly water down all the cries of "it's the turn of the South" and neutralize APC's main campaign point against Atiku. Bala Mohammed will not sway significant Northern voters enough to do any serious damage to Atiku. Not even Kwankwaso can. On the other hand, zoning it to the South will definitely hurt Tinubu's chances. The Seyi Makinde arrangement was preplanned with the assumption that Atiku will contest the PDP primaries. It has backfired and Makinde appears determined to forge ahead. If Makinde ends up endorsing Tinubu after winning the ticket, the elections will immediately take a "North vs South" dimension and Atiku will still have the advantage of numbers.
PoliticsRe: APC Now Controls 23 States, We've Created Space For More Till December- Tinubu by AMINDA: 4:25am On Jul 25, 2025
The fearful man is obsessed with coercing and financially inducing opposition politicians to his party and is willing to break the bank to make that happen. Yet, despite all the series of defections to the APC, it has not given them any serious momentum. This is why the jitters persists in the Agbado camp.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Government Developing Southern Nigeria, Abandons The North - Kwankwaso by AMINDA: 7:25pm On Jul 24, 2025
opes:
The political game has started. He was in Aso Rock a few days ago, and today he is criticizing the same government he went to visit. What does that tell you? Kwankwaso will contest again in 2027 under the NNPP. Kwankwaso a flag bearer in NNPP is the same as Kwankwaso in APC, a spoiler.
Lol. The North will vote in a one-way traffic in 2027. Kwankwaso really embarrassed Tinubu and took advantage of his desperation. From getting him to sack his ally Ganduje, to having him come to Kano to bend the knee and then saying no. None of that was enough for the Northern Tai Pan! That's how you do it, Tsula! The disrespect on your Northern brothers must be avenged!
PoliticsRe: Oil Cabal Fought Back After Subsidy Removal But Tinubu Didn’t Budge - Shettima by AMINDA:
With the collapse of the Kwankwaso deal, his position has now been assured and he can now praise Tinubu in public for the optics but make no mistakes, Kashim Shettima shall take his pound of flesh politically, for the disrespect!
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Government Developing Southern Nigeria, Abandons The North - Kwankwaso by AMINDA:
seunmsg:
Some of these folks talk as if Tinubu has been president for the past ten years. Buhari was president for eight out of the past ten years so what’s the blackmail all about?
It's now blackmail. A minute ago, Kwankwaso was the sweetest thing next to sliced bread. You SWesterners are insufferable. It doesn't take too many years to see the brazzen nepotistic direction of the Tinubu administration. By the end of Buhari’s second year, the Lagos-Ibadan rail, lekki port, Badagry Road, Lagos-Ibadan Road, etc were at advanced stages of construction in the Southwest. In contrast, Tinubu is only focused on the 15 trillion naira Lagos-Calabar coastal highway (Lagos section only).
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Government Developing Southern Nigeria, Abandons The North - Kwankwaso by AMINDA: 6:58pm On Jul 24, 2025
It seems the much anticipated transfer of Kwankwaso to APC has collapsed. Kwankwaso may have decided to choose legacy over personal considerations. After the betrayal of Elrufai, Kashim Imam, Ganduje, and Kashim Shettima by Tinubu, he knows better than to take Tinubu's words and promises seriously. Tinubu's campaign in the North will be lacklustre. He only has political lightweights and pretenders in his camp from the Northern extraction. Now, watch Gbatists insult the living daylight out of Kwankwaso and call him irrelevant. The doors of the coalition are wide open, Jagora!
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Directs Wike, Others To Provide Land For New APC National Secretariat by AMINDA: 6:52pm On Jul 24, 2025
It's only fair then for Wike to also provide land in the FCT to all political parties for their national headquarters as well. As bad as PDP was, they organised a fund raiser to develop their yet to be completed national headquarters in Abuja. I'm sure even the most diehard Tinubu supporter with a muster seed of conscience can see the precedence that Tinubu is setting. Posterity will be unkind to him.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Now Spends Less Than 50% Of Revenue On Debt From 97% by AMINDA: 5:35pm On Jul 24, 2025
Continue to reel out padded and fraudulently rebased statistics that don't mean jack. If that's the case, why is the self-proclaimed financial engineer borrowing 32 trillion naira to fund a 55 trillion naira budget? This is despite the widely celebrated fuel subsidy removal and IMF-inspired currency devaluation that has now plunged more Nigerians into abject poverty.
PoliticsRe: Osinbajo: Buhari Proved Public Service Can Be Done With Integrity & Transparency by AMINDA: 5:31pm On Jul 24, 2025
An honest statement but it sounds like a direct shade to Tinubu. That's how bad Tinubu is running the country.
PoliticsRe: APC Members In Plateau Celebrate News Of APC National Chairman by AMINDA: 5:27pm On Jul 24, 2025
This guy can't lead APC unto victory in 2027. I'm very sure he would be replaced by December of this year. It's a temporary arrangement.

PoliticsRe: 2027: I Support Power To Remain In South - Datti Baba-Ahmed by AMINDA: 2:40pm On Jul 24, 2025
Penguin2:
If una like, make power no come to Igbo man in 100, are we going to be the worst off in Nigeria? No!

So, go and tell your Atiku to rest and support Obi or let the heavens fall.

You lots will not play that game with us.
Don't let anybody prevent you from making Peter Obi president if you can. All we are saying is don't come into the coalition demanding for Obi to be handed the ticket and for all others to step down. That will never happen. Does he have more claim to the ticket than Amaechi and others? The best time for Obi to leave the coalition is now if he does not plan to contest the primaries. Contrary to what most people feel, a third force might even benefit the coalition.
PoliticsRe: Message To The North: Beware Of Fake Carrots by AMINDA: 11:53am On Jul 24, 2025
helinues:
Okay.. President Tinubu should be replaced but replaced by who?

Amaechi, Peter Obi, Atiku , Elrufai? Which of them.
All these names you mentioned will do a better job than what Tinubu is currently doing. The records are there. Tinubu is fantastically overrated.
PoliticsRe: Message To The North: Beware Of Fake Carrots by AMINDA: 11:47am On Jul 24, 2025
The South should focus on delivering 25% in at least 5 states in the South to the coalition. The coalition candidate will win the majority votes in all permutations.
PoliticsRe: Datti Has Finally Ditched Obi by AMINDA: 11:35am On Jul 24, 2025
Beautifulday:
Nobody knew Olu Falae in the East. I have been in Lagos for more than 20 years. I don't even know the name talk more of someone who live in Abia State.

Now imagine me knowing Umaru Shinkafi.

What do you know about Olu False and Umaru Shinkafi
What has that got to do with anything? Are you asserting that Obasanjo was considered to be more competent by the Southeast because he was the more popular candidate? Falae secured 11m votes while Obasanjo got 18m votes. 11m Nigerians knew them. It just wasn't enough.
PoliticsRe: Why Didn't World Dignitaries Attend Buhari's Burial Like Half Of Nelson Mandela? by AMINDA: 11:31am On Jul 24, 2025
Buhari was buried within 48 hrs in a non-elaborate Muslim fashion. How long did preparations for Mandela's burial take. Don't worry about the two deceased leaders. Worry about your own legacy.
PoliticsRe: Datti Has Finally Ditched Obi by AMINDA: 11:26am On Jul 24, 2025
Beautifulday:
Who was PDP presidential candidate in 1999 and who was his rival?
I'll indulge you. Obasanjo/Atiku under PDP. Olu Falae/Umaru Shinkafi under AD/APP (joint party ticket). Southeast voted for PDP.
PoliticsRe: Datti Has Finally Ditched Obi by AMINDA: 11:18am On Jul 24, 2025
Beautifulday:
South East has never voted along party lines. They vote personalities.
Not true. Since 1999, Southeast voted PDP in a one-way traffic irrespective of candidate until 2023 when Obi left to contest solo. Atiku's personality was good enough for Obi to deputise him in 2019, what changed?
PoliticsRe: Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Emerges New APC National Chairman by AMINDA: 10:29am On Jul 24, 2025
Lacklustre appointment. Apart from alienating last elements of the CPC bloc, Tinubu has gained nothing with this appointment. Nassarawa, Kogi, and Niger are now up for grabs by the coalition.
PoliticsRe: Datti Has Finally Ditched Obi by AMINDA: 9:54am On Jul 24, 2025
You're right. Datti's move against Obi is to sabotage him and potentially inherit Obidients for his future ambition. He knows he'll stand no chance in the coalition. His song of "Southern turn" alias "Tinubu turn" is just to spin a narrative against Obi if agrees to deputise Atiku.
PoliticsRe: 2027: I Support Power To Remain In South - Datti Baba-Ahmed by AMINDA:
Penguin2:
See, I understand your point.

Unfortunately you don’t understand mine.

And saying Igbos would want to grab everything if Obi should become president is you being dishonest. First of all, who will give them that chance? Does Obi look like he’s going to tolerate Igbos doing rubbish just because he’s president?

Do you really think Igbos of this generation are brainless chaps that have learned nothing from history?

There’s nothing absolutely wrong with Peter Obi being president in 2027 and Igbos don’t need to be slowly guided or eased into the presidency. We won’t go hysterical and we won’t grab the national cake all to ourselves.

I will repeat what I’ve stated before…. If the north is sincere about defeating Tinubu, then let them support Peter Obi. But if their aim is to grab power with the help of Peter Obi’s large followership, then let Tinubu continue, and let the presidency not come to Igbos in 100 years.

Vice Presidency is useless to southeast and Ndigbo in general.
Nobody is giving anybody anything. Every region should do their political permutations and choose what pleases it. Southsouth are already positioning as a region to Vice a Northerner in 2031 and then presidency in 2039. They will mostly support Tinubu because of what's in it for them in the future, not even now. Power will still return North whether in 2027 or inevitably in 2031. The North as a region is strategically positioned to benefit from either scenarios because all their eggs are not in one basket. Do whatever pleases you or your region but nobody will surrender the ADC ticket to Obi without participating in the primaries. A section of the North (with potentially the largest voting bloc) has extended a handshake across the Niger to the Southeast like was done with the Southwest in 2015. Obi can either sink or swim with the future of his region. Soludo gave him a hint in 2023 but he didn't take it.
PoliticsRe: Oborevwori, Nwifuru Visit Wike In Abuja by AMINDA: 8:26am On Jul 24, 2025
The rigging template in Rivers is about to be applied across all the Southsouthern and most of the Southeastern states. Where will Peter Obi get his votes from? These are his traditional base in 2023. He has even been barred from entering Edo and Benue and his businesses are getting demolished in Lagos. Obidients are still acting fierce on social media and using twitter likes and hashtags to get a false sense of relevance.
