Peter Obi is scared of deputising Obi because he fears he would lose some of his base, and quite frankly, he will. However, he fails to consider that he will gain far more by gaining an even far greater support base in the North. It can even be argued that Obi has lost some base, especially in the middlebelt, even if he contests solo. Tinubu didn't win the South but still became president simply because the North gave him substantial votes to overwrite the difference. Obi should also consider the political interest of the Southeast region before making his move. Enough said!

You don't have to lie to drive home your point. The Supreme Court nullified the Ibadan convention but also affirmed the suspension of Anyanwu. This invariably means that the Arabian Tea convention is also a nullity. Wike and his band of jesters can approach the Supreme Court for interpretation if they need more clarity. Supreme Court referred the case back to Federal High Court.


Now FHC will need to fix a date for the hearing, and the possible outcome is nullification of David Mark led NWC.

Sam Amadi is only saying this because Obi has probably set his mind on decamping out of the ADC before this verdict. He should feel free to do so already. Most of the Southeastern politicians with ambitions only want Obi to run solo so they can ride on his wave and win their own elections.

Yes, for an academic exercise. The Supreme Court still affirmed that courts have no jurisdiction over internal affairs of a party but it cannot give a ruling on a matter that is not yet before it.

Both the Amala convention and the Arabian Tea convention were nullified. The suspension of Anyanwu and his co-travellers were also upheld. This now clears the path for the BOT headed by Adolphus Wabara and Babangida Aliyu to salvage the party. These are all Makinde's men.

If a court has no jurisdiction over a party's internal affairs, why should it concern itself with a party's constitution? Anyways, get yourself abreast of the party's constitution. Particularly, the first line (No. 4) in this document. The NWC can override EVERYTHING in a Party, including its constitution.

What part of the party's constitution was not adhered to? Besides, the collective decision of a party's NWC supercedes its constitution. INEC was fully involved in ALL processes leading to the change in leadership and even offered advise where necessary. INEC practically has a sworn affidavit affirming that the party's leadership was rightfully transferred to Mark.

But I would love to know is, with this Supreme Court judgment, is the convention carried out by David Mark-led leadership of ADC valid? If the trial court; the high court nullifies David Mark-led ADC leadership, what will happen to the convention already held by same David Mark-led committee before the trial court give their own verdict?

The High Court cannot nullify David Mark’s leadership. The Supreme Court already ruled that no court has jurisdiction over the internal affairs of a political party. They simply referred David Mark back to the high court because they didn't want to jump the gun.

The Supreme Court cannot specifically rule that the PDP BOT led by Wabara should take over the party. This is a very false claim by the Makinde group. The Supreme Court cannot decide who takes over a party. They are quickly spreading this lie so as to quickly counter whatever the reaction of the Wike group will be.

So what possible reaction can the Wike group take when Samuel Anyanwu's suspension has been upheld? It simply means both the Amala convention and Arabian Tea convention are null and void. This leaves the BOT as the only recognised organ to restore sanity to the party. Tinubu has thrown Wike under the bus and left him with the short end of the stick. Just as predicted.
