The Southeast must be better humans because Tinubu wouldn't urinate on the Southeast if they were on fire. He didn't in 2015 and wouldn't do so anytime soon. He didn't even bother campaigning in the East. In any case, Seyi Makinde is already positioning himself. The Southwest may end up having a stake in both the ADC and the APC, just like the North does. Peter Obi said he won't do VP again. Is it by force? Your coalition to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is dead on arrival.

Yet, Tinubu is still scared of election. He wants to be corronated via the courts without facing his opponents at the polls. Why does Tinubu not share your confidence? Abusing power is not a show of strength, it's a clear sign of cowardice.

At least play your politics right first and get the ticket before burning bridges. Obi was Atiku’s Vice in 2019. When did he become bigger than Atiku when he came third in 2023? If Obi goes solo in 2027, he will have less votes than he did in 2023. Every other region plays politics to win but it seems the Southeast plays just to prove a point. A Northerner was Vice to Obasanjo in 1999 and the North became President. A Southsoutherner was Vice to Yar'adua and the Southsouth became President. A Southwesterner was Vice to Buhari and the Southwest is currently President. A Northerner is now Vice to Tinubu and one doesn't even need to be a prophet to know power will be heading North. Being a VP is not subservience, it's strategy.

Only one region is missing from this equation and they keep doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome. The Southwest was in this position where the Southeast currently is and Tinubu seized the opportunity by aligning with Buhari. You may repeat the same cliché and say the Southeast doesn't need the presidency to thrive but unborn children from the East will not be exempted from paying the loans on projects that are only sited in Lagos, other parts of the Southwest and the North. Often times, to gain power, you have to stoop to conquer.

Create your own party? Several applications for registration are unattended to by INEC, including ADA. Even NDC had to come into existence via court order. Meanwhile, the NADECO fighters of democracy are doing everything possible to ensure they run unopposed in 2027. This can only end one way.

Previous presidents were only accused of rigging elections. No one prevented other aspirants from even vieing for the seat until Tinubu came along.

It speaks more to the integrity of Tinubu that he now has the likes of FFK, Reno Omokri and Daniel Bwala as pseudo-spokesmen and ambassadors in his regime.

The office of the NSA is not one to bequeath to a man with political ambitions. Now look at them paying individuals to sing their praises.

We know. Tinubu himself hasn't settled for Hamzat yet. As typical with his style, he allows everyone to monkey themselves first before becoming out to pick his preferred choice. Why not corronate him instead of wasting taxpayer's money in conducting an election. This is what Tinubu wants at the national level. This newfound desire to stifle all opposition is counterproductive as it disincentivises performance. Winners just go through the motion and see out their tenures with no real pushback or accountability.

Tinubu’s political style encourages subservience and sycophancy. These are attributes of a despot, not a democrat. One can even argue that he purposefully engineers these crisis in most states so he can sit back and watch both camps fight to gain his favour. The proliferation of similar situations in states are becoming too frequent to just be a coincidence. It will inevitably backfire.

There are several low hanging fruits. Improving power alone can rapidly industrialise Nigeria, creating jobs and opening up more revenue streams for the government in the process. Bringing investors to tap into the steel industry is another low hanging fruit. Rather, our most exorbitant project in the history of the country is a road to nowhere awarded to a business partner with a clear conflict of interest.

Infrastructure aren't business ventures. Their "profits" are measured in how they ensure "ease of doing business", how they save time, how they open up the economy, etc. You are never going to make enough money to recover the cost of a rail line solely from selling train tickets.

Rather, he embarked upon an 11 trillion naira coastal road project that has since been commissioned at the 30km stretch. The Abuja-Kaduna rail is also poorly maintained under the watchful eye of yet another of his Lagos boys, Kayode Opeifa.

Sowere is controlled opposition and Tinubu's stooge. He's better off ignored.

The Southeast voted Obasanjo in 1999 and 2003. They also voted Yar'adua and Jonathan after that. Tinubu ran on Emi Lokan and has gone ahead to demonstrate it by cornering everything for himself and cronies, all while shouting "turn of the South." Tinubu didn't support Obasanjo all through his tenure for his own selfish interest but now expects Seyi Makinde to support him despite betraying him after supporting him in 2023. He has also seized local government funds in Osun, throwing millions into poverty, all in a bid to sabotage Adeleke.
