so let me get this straight. You all want your own laws separate from the laws of the federal government?
we want our laws seperate from the laws of christians. and the fed laws seem like christians law as actually they are modeled after americas.

when im in america i repsect d laws but i cant have those laws in my own back yard

jason12345:
why must the president of a whole nation be muslim? is that not being selfish?
I think christians will agree with it as well but as a muslim and  proper muslim it it aactually not right to vote for a christian president.

igbos or any ethnic group can control the country!!! i would want an igbo president personally. do you think its only the northerners that have what it takes to control the country? if yes, then look around you (if you are in nigeria) and tell me whether you would not rethink.
you mmight can control southren nigeria but yoiu cant control the north - the laws and way of like are different

im only asking for a PROGRESSIVE northerner muslim to be precise not a retrogressive southerner.

chyz:
Ok lets have a one on one since you're a northerner. I can discuss these kinds of matters better with you all because yorubas tend to be selfish in thinking and evil when it comes to pity. What do you believe an Igbo would do negatively towards the north if president?
ibos will want to undo sharia, they will want to get rid of revenue formaula d north is not ready for it unless its a northerner that does it if its an ibo president that does it will look anti islam/north which will cause religous/ ethnic war

alj harem:
the answer is simple, because igbos do not believe in nigeria, thus they do not love it and would not defend her unity
i disgree ibos are selfish but they are not dumb enough to risk their lives in the north north is lik second home to atleast half ofdem

Well in that case neither do northerners or yorubas so the country might as well just split.
i dont think yorubas can handle the nation either, that is why they run theirregion there own way, when you meet a yorobaman being president is not on his mind, dey are fine wit being yoruba leaders wit der tribal titles

ibos want everything too greedy

i mean d average northerner respect ibo but when it comes to religion governace and what affects our region i mean they cant be trusted.

how will he deal with boko haram? ibos are easy targets in the north when it comes to religion. what ever that president does against islam, ibos in da north will suffer backlash
how will he deal with militants? the niger deltan will see it as igbo trying to dominate dem

i dont believe jonathan has what it take either.

Nigeria cn never let the igbos go we love them tooo much. can you imagine Nigeria without igbo?

Who else will leave their homeland region and invest in sharia states? Thw Yorubas are very tribalistic esp the christians and will invest in the west before anywhere else. same with d Niger deltans

Igbo only problem is tinkin he is bette than others. Hausa(husband) and igbo(wife) is like a marriage

Are you saying the average Muslim is stup!d? Because, I don't think so. They can pay Boko Haram and other hoodlums, but the army will put them down ruthlessly.

Another thing, it is quite clear that even with all the weapons World right now, the North cannot fight for longer than a week without fuel and oil money to buy replenishments for spent and destroyed arms. All suspect Northern commanders in the South will very likely be relocated or moved to non-essential duties. It will be 100% suicide for the core North to ever attempt to challenge the South and Middle Belt to war. It will be total destruction.
we dont know the difference! why cant sout people think, you all tink you  know everytin , most of us muslim middle belt pput religion before humanity we are outnumbered by fulanis and hausas so most see it best to join the killin then opposing it. Imagine a tribe of 2 million  outnumbered by 40 million hausas and fulanis. Mos are scared to oppose that is why ibb abacha join the hausas and fulanis. In niger state half are xtian but we have sharia!

muslims are not dumb but when you talk of Allah we are blind. as i talk to you now you are only saying jos and benue, why not add niger state kwara and nasswara because most are muslim and illiterate and it is a strong possibility they can align with the core north, the saame way ibb saraki, aliyu doma, have done

in kogi state we are mixed both muslim and christian but the last govenors are muslims why cant an igala christian be govenor? most of us in the middle belt feel outnumbered

You are but i think u know where she is coming from. I'm guessing you are a supporter of IBB and i can respect your choice because its, Your choice. However, from the way these northern people are going about with these threats THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THAT THEY WILL HAND OVER POWER TO THE IGBOS COME 2015. I wouldnt want any of my people to vote for these people because it is clear that they dont value our lives or any others instead they want power and will do any means for it. If IBB really cared about the Igbos, he would come out now and condemn this threat by the North and tell them that if they continue to make such threats that he will drop his presidential aspiration. But he's not going to because he sees it as an advantage. Look my concern is Igbo, which include you and your family, me and my family. No death or oppression is acceptable at any costs. If i have to empty my account to fund our people with weapons then I Will Do It. Thats what its about. Please if you are thinking about voting for one of those devils, drop it.
kaita! nyou are getin smarter. in d article it says the ethnic militia boko haram, in the north boko haram is an islamic movement it isnt known as ethnic,, the core north want to use it as weapom againsr southerners but here we will think its about religion. this wat i been sayin.

if xtian igboman ever wins against a northerner (i doubt) these elements will still be there. they are mixing ethnicity with religion to confuse us in the middle belt.

ibb is using  islam in the north to get far by not sayin anything about the killings and religous wars. while gowon obasanjo spoke about the violence in the middle belt and core north, ibb was quiet he didnt say anytin cause he does not care
PoliticsRe: Can The North Secede? by amingafar(m): 5:24pm On Sep 20, 2010

they want to use religion to control or kill us.
PoliticsRe: Can The North Secede? by amingafar(m): 5:23pm On Sep 20, 2010

PoliticsRe: Saraki - Plans Fall Apart? by amingafar(m): 4:57pm On Sep 20, 2010
T9ksy:
This typically exemplifies what is our main problem in that country of ours. The north has the mentality that they were born to rule the country and you see the manifestation of that outlook in their postures. They insist on a northern candidate for the nxt election, however they have no one credible to sell to the rest of us apart from some old decrepit militicians and rogue politicians with unenviable credentials. When that doesn’t seem to be meeting the people’s expectations, they start throwing any northerner’s name in the air hoping that one will stick. Imagine Saraki being touted as potential presidential candidate. Only in the Caliphate’s Nigeria.

This same approach gave us late yar adua. Was it not the same Ribadu who confessed that after the truncation of OBJ’s 3rd term bid, he and his fellow co-travellers were given the task of finding the nxt northerner to occupy the exalted post. After, searching high and low, they came up with two names and one of them was the olokurun, a.k.a one-foot-in-the-grave Yar dua! This was a man who never recorded any meaningful achievement in all his 8yrs as governor of Katsina state apart from instituting sharia on his pauperized people. This is a guy who spent most of his tenure as governor junketing from one foreign hospital bed to another. At one time, he was even reputed to have been in a foreign hospital bed convalescing, for close to 6months! And the northern elite had the temerity to turn round and blame Obj for foisting the sickler on the nation.

Do they mean, they were not aware of Yar adua’s dodgy health status all this while? I remembered, even the man’s mother at the time made an odd statement which now in hindsight makes more sense to me. She knew her son cannot withstand the rigors of what Obj and the northern elite were going to confer on him. This was the same guy who could not even run a local family business in Nigeria!

And that ‘s saying something and now they are proposing another political failure to move into aso rock. Its all the same old song. "We must have a northerner in Aso rock irrespective of whether he’s capable of moving the nation forward or not. We are the kingmakers so our wish must prevail".

As for my igbo brothers when the time comes for them to choose a representative among them to move to aso rock, you can bet your bottom dollar that this same “owners of Nigeria” are gonna be the kingmakers choosing the igboman (like they chosed Obj for the yorubas ) who will put their (northerners') interest above all others, in the country. This is why I hope they all vote in concert for ibb and he wins the nxt election. Though, I must add that I wouldn’t trust anything that emanates from that guy's mouth, anyway. Not to mention that the level of hardship that ibb would have visited on the nation in 4yrs, that’s if he does spend only one term, I doubt if any igboman would want to pick up the pieces.

Let’s break up this monstrosity ojare and who ever wish to have the ilk of Ibb, Buhari, Saraki ati bebelo, etc etc lording it over them, are welcome to them.
what sout people like you dont understand is that the north pdp can given the presidetial ticket to an igbo but the north will present one candidate beating the igbo or delta in a free election.

the biggest mistake hausa made was to put obasanjo there. They wanted to set a trap for delta or an igbo man. They didnt expect the sw people to support Jonathan and it was a shocker for Obasanjo to throw his support behind Jonathan.

The north never planned on voting for an igbo or delta even if they recieved pdp ticket, most northerner were going to vote for ANPP. As you can see after the sw and Obsanjo supported Jonathtan the rest of the country followed even the govs who did not want Jonathan as president.

It is also said IBB knew yaradua was going to die and IBB was going to take over from then, He was surprised when Obasajo supported Jonathan.

not all of us hate igbos, just alot of us.

I would never kill an igbo or any person I dont believe the war was necessary but we in the north and middle belt didnt see it as ethnic against igbos or the east, we saw it as religous. The propoganga against igbos was about the East attacking islam not about ethnic groups.

They (the hausa and fulani) majority make us believe igbos are against Islam- I dont believe them but many of us ( muslim minorities do)

Why would I vote for an christian when i am muslim. How many christian govenors have you seen in Niger state? and 40% of niger state is christisn and we still have sharia.
PoliticsRe: Ibb Visits Ojukwu In Enugu by amingafar(m): 1:38pm On Sep 20, 2010
If hausas intermarry with igbo frequently as you said, then the hausas or fulani should vote for amechi but the problem is that has never crossed the mind of hausas or fulanis.

truth be told If hausas and igbo interact so frequently then why havent the fulanis- hausas voted for an igbo president, the thought doesnt even cross most peoples mind.

amingafar,

Who are you fooling? We already know that you are not a northerner. You are simply a Yoruba who is trying to portray himself as a Northerner. Probably a regular poster, so you are not fooling anyone. So do us a favor and sign into your regular name.

Northerners are not as ignorant of the country as the Yoruba. There are plenty of Northerners in the East. Especially in Port Harcourt, Aba and Onitsha. And they understand who is control in the East. Why would they not know since oil is found in the region.

I see more Hausa in Port Harcourt when I was growing up instead of Yorubas.
Ive said im igala from Kogi raised in bida. I will just ignore the rest of your argument. If there are northerners in the East then why isnt a northerner appointed to many position in the east. What about mosque and hajj?
PoliticsRe: Ibb Visits Ojukwu In Enugu by amingafar(m): 1:27pm On Sep 20, 2010
Ezeuche mr brother we dont hear about rivers state govenors work. I think igbos should do more to accept non igbos in the East like more mosques appointment of northerners and westerners in their government.

If we are one Nigeria then ndigbo should do more so more northerners can migrate to the East.

Tell me what Fashola has done that Amaechi hasn't. I know you Yorubas are ignorant of the rest of the country. You all only know Yoruba leaders so shut up EWU.
most people in the north and middle belt dont know anything about amechi or riverstate, How many hausa or fulanis or gwaris nupes live in riverstate. Thats the problem none that I know of.
As for Lagos Everyone knows Lagos and has been their both christian muslim north and south. One of the things I commend fashola on is that their isnt religous wars in Lagos. I dont think Amechi can govern a state where half of the population is muslim.

Most of Nigeria doesnt know about govenors in the East or Niger delta. sorry

Fulanis were never powerful or ruthless. The difference between them is that they started late After other african empires began to fall, 1780-1800's when the europeans were encouraging Africans to desists from conquering and killing.

If we were more educated in the north- Nigeria will be more equal, no one would think about being killed by a barbarian,
Most Fulanis have nothing tangible no Ids, No houses in their name, No proper schooling,- They can kill and be off to Niger, BF, Senegal or where ever.

If I, igbo, yoruba, ijaw or bini kill someone- where will we go? we have Ids, we have tangible things that arent worth losing.

I blame the Europeans for not forcing them to conform.

everyone had slaves back then from small raids. It cannot be said Fulanis werent slaves under who ever had power before uthman.sokoto history only dates toward to beginning of christianity. Before uthman and the europeans who were the fulanis?

Fulani intermarry. They will go as far to their homeland in Sengal to find a Fulani bride.
they like the arabs often married slave women from different ethnic groups. They dont and wont go as far as senegal to marry. Being fulani is paternal and not maternal.

the same with Emir of Kano, Emir of nupe est nupe, The emir of waise, none of them are pure fulanis. Even the sultan of sokoto has more hausa blood then Fulani.
