Some PDP members from Alagbado, Lagos state were attacked by Fulani Herdsmen on Saturday as they travelled to attend the PDP non-elective convention that held at Eagles Square, Abuja. PoliticsNGR learnt that the attack occurred around 4 am at Obajana, Lokoja, Kogi state. An eyewitness to the incident stated; We were attacked by Fulani herdsmen on our way to the National Convention yesterday early morning around 4 am along Obajana, Lokoja Kogi state. It was a miraculous escape. These young Fulani herdsmen were fully armed. On how the attackers were confirmed to be Fulani Herdsmen, the witness disclosed; After the incident, we were able to rough our way to a filling station where we explain our ordeal to the attendants, at first I told them that the attackers were arm robbers in a native attire like that of Fulani but they ( the attendants ) said that they were not armed robbers that they are Fulani herdsmen. They added that the part we took was their regular spot, they also told us they ( Fulani herdsmen ) have killed many passing through that route. Later while we were going, the first military check point we saw, we explained to them and the first thing the officer responding to us said was " why did you take that route, they always attack there. Later when we got to Abuja, some of the driver's who had ply that route also share their horrible experience with us. A man showed us his amputated arm. He said it was due to the gun shot from the Fulani herdsmen. Some told us how many drivers and their loved ones have lost their lives to the hands of Fulani herdsmen in Kogi State. President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that he is in fine health and is only obeying the orders of his Doctors by remaining in London. Buhari said that there was a tremendous improvement in his health and wishes to return home, "but I've learnt to obey my doctor's orders, rather than be the one issuing the orders. Here, the doctor is absolutely in charge." The President spoke while receiving the presidential media team, and the Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters, at Abuja House, London, on Saturday. Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, led the visiting team, accompanied by Mr Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity; Mallam Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, and Lauretta Onochie, Personal Assistant on Digital/Online Media. Also, there was Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters. When the team expressed delight at the much-improved health of the President, he retorted: "I feel I could go home, but the doctors are in charge. I've now learnt to obey orders, rather than be obeyed." On how he felt hearing different conjectures about his health, an amused President Buhari said he followed events at home closely, lauding Nigerian television stations, and the media generally, for keeping him informed. When told that prayers were going on fervently for him, not only in Nigeria, but all over Africa, and round the world, a delighted President said: "What we did in The Gambia early this year fetched us a lot of goodwill on the African continent. It gave us a lot of latitude. I thank all those who are praying. May God reward them." President Buhari sent appreciation to all Nigerians, expressing hope that he would be with them soon. http://politicsngr.com/2017/08/12/staying-london-doctors-buhari/

Media spokesperson of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state, Lere Olayinka has called out the APC for being hypocritical and has accused Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila of allegedly being convicted for stealing $25,000 from a client when he was practising law in the United States. In a statement titled "Ibori's appointment into PDP Convention Committee and APC hypocrisy", Olayinka wrote; 1. The first National Chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande was jailed in 1984 by a Tribunal duly set up by Buhari's military regime for using funds belonging to the old Oyo State to fund his political party. Interestingly, Baba Bisi Akande was only released from jail and not pardoned by the Ibrahim Babangida government. It is also a fact that it was late Chief Sunday Afolabi who prevailed on the Osun State PDP not to go to court to raise the issue of Akande’s conviction vis his qualification to contest election as a governor in 1999. 2. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the APC Leader in the House of Representatives was convicted for professional misconduct by the Supreme Court of Georgia, United States of America. Fact is Hon Gbajabiamila was convicted in the United States for stealing his client’s $25,000 and he is leading the APC in the House of Reps. He was banned from practising law in the USA for 36 months. The punishment for Femi Gbaja’s offence would have been debarment for life, however he played dead before a full panel of the Supreme Court of Georgia led by Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears, before the court could rule on the petition from his client, he filed a petition for Voluntary Discipline, filed under bar rule 4-227(b) in which he fully admitted to stealing $25,000 from his client. In spite of this indictment, Gbajabiamila was even presented to be Speaker of the House of Reps and same APC people are condemning the inclusion of Ibori in the PDP National Convention Committee. http://politicsngr.com/2017/08/12/gbajabiamila-convicted-stealing-25000-fayoses-aide-lere-olayinka/

A group known as 'Kwara must change' has written to the Independent national electoral commission(INEC) to commence a recall of the Senate president, Bukola Saraki. In the letter, the President of the group, Abdulrazaq Hamzat, demanded for the Kwara central voters registration list in order to process the recall. In a statement released on Friday, the group reveals that the commission had a meeting with them and declined to release the list. Attached below is a copy of the letter obtained by PoliticsNGR. The statement read; On August 1st, 2017, Kwara Must Change announced the postponement of the recall exercise of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki over the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) inability to formally respond to our request for the certified copy of voter’s registration list. Sequel to our complaint about INEC lack of prompt response, Kwara Must Change received an invitation to meet with the leadership of the commission yesterday, 3rd August 2017 at their Kwara State head office, located at Western Reservoir Road in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital. At the brief meeting, which took place around 1 pm yesterday, we were made to understand that the state office INEC cannot release the copy of the voters register as requested by Kwara Must Change. Consequently, we were given a letter, which directed us to the Chairman of the Commission in Abuja. The letter with reference no INEC/KW/299/17, signed by the Administrative Secretary, Mr Paul Atser has as its heading, ‘’RE: REQUEST FOR KWARA CENTRAL VOTERS REGISTRATION LIST FOR THE RECALL OF SENATOR BUKOLA SARAKI’’. The letter reads in part, ‘’I am directed to request you to forward your request to the Honorable Chairman of the commission for his consideration. It is important to state that, while we do not have any issue with approaching the Honorable Chairman as directed, we find it strange that a Senatorial District affair cannot be handled by the state office of INEC. We contend that, if each of the 109 Senatorial Districts of Nigeria has to approach the Chairman to request for their voter’s registration list, certainly, it is going to bring some unnecessary complications. Furthermore, while we are currently seeking legal advice on this development, not withstanding, we shall immediately proceed to the office of the Honorable Chairman in Abuja for prompt action on our request to fast the recall exercise. We, however, maintained that the recall of a Senator in 1 out of the 109 Senatorial Districts of Nigeria should be a local affair and the release of the voter’s registration list, in our opinion, shouldn't be outside the capacity of the state Resident Electoral Commissioner. In the main time, the general public should know that the recall exercise of Senator Bukola saraki is still very much alive and it shall be actualized in due time. http://politicsngr.com/2017/08/05/inec-responds-call-sarakis-recall-photo-recall-letter-inside/

Ikechukwu, a 200 level computer science student of Imo State University, Owerri and his accomplice, Kalu were captured in the state capital on Tuesday. It was gathered that the suspects were arrested while robbing students of their valuables at gunpoint. A police source who pleaded anonymity revealed that the leader of the gang escaped during the arrest. He said; “We received a distress call from some student leaders that some boys were robbing students, mostly girls of their money, phones and other valuables and we quickly moved operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad of the command to the scene.” He stated that there was no exchange of gunfire and two out of the three-man gang, including a student of IMSU who was partaking in the ongoing second-semester examinations of the university were nabbed. Confessing his crime to Newsmen on Wednesday, Ikechukwu said, “It was my younger colleague who is in Year One that led me into crime. He uses a fake gun to rob students, especially female students. He convinced me to join him. I recruited Goodluck who was my neighbour. This is the second time we did it together.” Confirming the incident, State commissioner of police, Chris Ezike, said that the two boys were arrested and a fake metal they disguised as a gun which they used in instilling fears in their victims was recovered. Chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum(PANDEF), Chief Edwin Kaigbodo Clark has appealed to the Niger Delta militants to withdraw from declaring 'Niger Delta republic' on October 1st. Clark, in a recent interview, urged the militants to also desist from blowing up pipeline installations in the region. He said that PANDEF was satisfied with the Federal government, adding that it meant well for the region. In his words; “Rome was not built in a day; the Acting President was honest, straightforward and forthright in his discussion with us and I do not see the need for war.” He warned that any militant group that re-ignites hostilities was on its own and will not have the support of the Niger Delta people. He also denied that the group gave the FG a November 1 ultimatum, explaining that it only urged it to set up a dialogue team to discuss with PANDEF, or the body would pull out of further meetings with it.Clark's statements are coming after Friday's meeting with the Federal government over promises made to develop the region. http://politicsngr.com/2017/08/05/dont-declare-niger-delta-republic-edwin-clark-begs-militants/

PoliticsNGR has gotten full details into the gruesome attack by thugs on the Kogi state house of Assembly on Tuesday. It was gathered that louts numbering over 100 invaded the Kogi State House of Assembly and disrupted a live plenary session. The thugs, allegedly sponsored by the state Governor, Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, tried to gain entrance to the hallowed chambers but were prevented by the Security operatives attached to the Speaker, Rt Hon Umar Ahmed Imam. Failing to enter the building through the main entrance, they forced their way through the gallery and used furniture and other dangerous weapons to attack members who immediately scampered away in different directions for their lives. Eyewitness reports indicate that the criminals operated freely for over an hour, completely undisturbed by the detachment of police officers drafted to the Assembly complex by the State Commissioner of Police, Mr William Inelegwu who left shortly before the thugs stormed the Assembly complex. The chief whip and member representing Ajaokuta Constituency, Hon Alhassan Abdullahi Bello, his counterpart of Ankpa 1 constituency, Hon Ahmed Ahmed were allegedly responsible for leading the thugs into the hallowed chambers, where a member representing Igalamela/Odulo constituency, Elder Makama Friday Sani was seated. Hon Makama was beaten and stripped naked Investigations revealed that all efforts made by the Deputy speaker to save Makama, who was being beaten by the thugs, proved abortive as they threatened to kill him if he refused to allow them to accomplish their mission; "we must kill him that's the directives from the above and we must accomplish our mission" the leader of thugs was allegedly quoted as saying. Hon. Sani Makama, who was able to crawl his way out of the chamber was later aided by some assembly staff to escape through the fence, was conveyed out of the premises in a tricycle machine half-n*de. Further checks indicate that the thugs were allegedly accompanied by Governor Yahaya Bello ADC, his Security Adviser, Navy Commodore Jerry Omadara, (Rtd)Commandant of MOPOL, Administrators of Okene, Adavi and Bassa Local Government Area. An inside source stated that Governor Yayaha Bello and his agents in the Assembly allegedly used Hon Friday Sani, as a smoke screen; "you recalled that we invited the state Accountant General, Hon Commissioner of finance and the Acting Head of Service to appear before this Honourable House today to explained and give details account of clear and unclear lists, the numbers of civil servants and pensioners paid. "This morning Governor Yahaya Bello surrogates in the House made frantic efforts to truncate the public hearing, but the speaker insisted, that's was why immediately the speaker appealed to members to summarize their submission, the Chief whip invited the thugs," the source said. It can be recalled that the state Assembly passed a vote of confidence on the speaker, Rt. Hon Umar Ahmed Imam and this according to some political analysts in the state allegedly didn't go down well with Governor Yahaya Bello. Bello summoned the lawmakers last Friday for a meeting in Government House but a majority of them refused to attend. http://politicsngr.com/2017/08/02/impeachment-thugs-attack-kogi-state-house-assembly-photos-full-details/

Imo State governor and Chairman of the Progressive governors' forum(PGF), Rochas Okorocha has urged Nigerians to wait until 2019 before judging the overall performance of the APC led government. While giving a speech at the Federal government - PGF parley on Policy Synergy in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, the bulky governor said that the APC came on board at a time the country was battling several problems. In his words; “We want to appeal to Nigerians not to judge us from the past sins; we have only been in the mantle of leadership of this great country for two years. You should judge us when the mandate entrusted to us expired,”. He also used the platform as an opportunity to take a swipe at individuals/groups calling for secession. He said; “We are one united country and Nigeria will always remain indivisible; we don’t know who is Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo. Our determination is to stamp out hunger and bring democratic dividend to the citizens,”. He advised Nigerians to be patient as the country's leaders are working hard on a daily basis. http://politicsngr.com/2017/08/02/dont-judge-apc-now-wait-till-2019-okorocha/ cc: lalasticlala, Mynd44

Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has weighed in on the recent rejection of the devolution of powers to states bill by the Senate in a series of constitutional amendments. Atiku expressed shock at the decision of the Senate to block the passage of Bill No. 3 which would have led to the devolution of powers to states. In a statement made available to PoliticsNGR on Thursday, Abubakar complained about the lost opportunity to fulfil one of the APC's election promises which was to restructure the country. The statement read; “This blockage of the bill by an APC-led senate majority is a betrayal of our party’s pre-election promises. It was an important vote and I’m shocked by some so-called progressives’ visceral and cynical opposition to restructuring. He expressed dissatisfaction over the "alleged reluctance of democratically elected lawmakers to remove the insidious structural impediments to development which decades of military rule had hoisted upon our nation." He argued; "“Instead of building the foundations for a true federation, a small group of so-called progressive senators decided to stick with the new party line, pretending they didn’t know what restructuring was all about, and that even if they knew, it couldn’t be done. I think this is disingenuous, and I think it is a sad day for our party. But I’m confident the APC will learn the right lesson from this self-inflicted defeat and remember the mission and mandate given to us by the people". Atiku also advised Nigerian lawmakers to do what is right and not make decisions based on self-interest. “Let me be clear: restructuring is no panacea to all our nation’s problems. But devolving resources and responsibilities from an overbearing, unresponsive, and ineffective Federal Government to the states is the first step we must make if we are serious about putting our nation back on track, and our people back to work,” http://politicsngr.com/2017/07/28/restructuring-senate-betrayed-apc-atiku/

Former aviation minister, Chief Fem Fani Kayode has said that he would rather live a free man in Oduduwa republic than continuing to be a slave in Nigeria. Below is a statement by Fani-Kayode made available to the public on Thursday; "For those commentators in this forum who have never participated in or understand Nigerian politics but who tend to speak and act as if they are the only ones that are sincere about restructuring, I have the following to say. I hope you have learnt a lesson or two from the fact that during the constitutional review exercise that took place in the last few days the Senate has refused to devolve power from the centre and initiate the process for genuine restructuring in our country. These are the hard facts, hidden obstacles and bitter realities about the struggle that some of us that are in the field have been facing and complaining about for the last 25 years! From henceforth let it be clearly understood by all, including those that desire restructuring but who have never participated in Nigerian politics, that we can never achieve it through the existing constitutional structure or the National Assembly. This is because the system is rigged and designed to protect and preserve itself and because the core north effectively has a power of veto in the National Assembly which it will always exercise in order to block any form of restructuring. It is this point that people like Nnamdi Kanu and other ethnic nationalist leaders came to appreciate long ago and it explains their "hardline" posture on these issues. The bottom line is as follows: restructuring will not be given to us freely or on a platter of gold. It must be taken and if necessary it must be taken by force. Finally, mark this: if it does not eventually come then I say let us cease to be one nation. I would rather live as a free man in the independent Oduduwa Republic than continue to live and die as a slave in the Federal Republic of Nigeria." http://politicsngr.com/2017/07/27/ill-rather-live-free-man-oduduwa-republic-slave-nigeria-ffk/

The 8th Senate of Nigeria has pledged to keep supporting a 6-year-old boy From Chibok, Ali Ahmadu, who was crippled by a Boko Haram vehicle that ran him over in 2015. According to the president of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, the boy is a reminder of the evils of violent extremism. In a statement made available to PoliticsNGR, Saraki said; Ali Ahmadu, a 6-year old boy from Chibok came to my office. Three years ago, little Ali was run over by a Boko Haram vehicle. As a result of the unfortunate incident at the hands of Boko Haram, Ali's spinal cord was severed. To me, Ali is a reminder of the evils of violent extremism. He is one of the reasons why we continue to remain committed to stamping out terrorism. He will require surgery on his spinal cord.Moving forward, my colleagues and I in the 8th Senate will continue to offer support to him and his family. We must all remember that we have come a long way in our fight to stamp out the insurgency that we once battled with. However, right now, there are a lot of families and people in our communities that are still bearing the brunt of extremism. We must also continue to pray for our men and women in uniform who fight to keep us safe. http://politicsngr.com/2017/07/27/senate-support-6-year-old-boy-run-boko-haram/ cc: lalasticlala, Mynd44

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has attacked the ruling All progressives congress(APC), stating that the bad governance of the party has left the country terribly divided. Speaking during the official flag-off of the reconstruction/rehabilitation of Abuloma, Fimie, Ozuboko and Amadi -Ama community roads in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Governor Wike said: "Nigeria is divided because of the APC Leadership style". He stated: "Wherever you go today in this country, there is one problem or the other. Is that how Nigerians want it? Certainly not. We need people who will promote peace through quality leadership. " The governor said that Nigerians were deceived into voting for the APC, pointing out that in 2019 no Nigerian will be deceived by the empty promises of the party. "The change they said they are bringing is fake change. No person resident in Rivers State and sees what we are suffering from the APC Federal Government will ever support APC", Governor Wike said. The governor assured the people of the state that his administration will continue to deliver projects that will improve their living condition. He said the reconstruction/rehabilitation of Abuloma, Fimie, Ozuboko and Amadi -Ama community roads will be completed in six months. He said the very poor nature of the community roads in the heart of Port Harcourt brings to the fore the failures of the immediate past administration. The governor urged the contractor to carry the people of the host communities along, through sub-contracts and employment opportunities. On the flooding of many parts of the state, the governor reiterated that his administration will take steps to stop future re-occurence. He appealed to residents to desist from building houses on waterways, noting that resolving the flood challenge requires everyone to work in unison. Representative of the CCECC, Mr Robinson Ndiokho assured the governor that the company will construct the community roads in line with the approved specifications. Caretaker Committee Chairman of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Mr Chima Orlu said though Governor Wike met an empty treasury, he has delivered on his mandate. http://politicsngr.com/2017/07/25/apcs-bad-governance-left-nigeria-badly-divided-wike/ Cc: lalasticlala, Mynd44

The Federal Government has raised the alarm over an orchestrated plot to discredit the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption (PACAC), and by extension the government's anti-corruption efforts, using '419ers' and their ilk. In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the PACAC's letter head and stamp as well as the signature of its Chairman are being forged and used to con people within and outside the country. In a particular instance, a letter purportedly signed by the PACAC Chairman, Prof. Itse Sagay, entitled ''Presidential Investigation on Outstanding Federal Government External Contract Debts'', and a form to be filled for that purpose, are being sent to unsuspecting persons to extort money from them and to portray the country's highest advisory committee against corruption in bad light. ''For the avoidance of doubt, the President has not mandated PACAC to investigate and recommend for payment some outstanding contract debts, as contained in the letter in question, neither has the Federal Government approved the disbursement of $850 million in the 2017 budget for payment of the so-called external contract debt. ''We are therefore using this medium to inform Nigerians and foreigners alike to disregard such letters,'' the Minister said. He said Prof. Sagay and all the members of his Committee are men and women of proven integrity who will never allow the Committee to be used for any activity that is not within its mandate or that is capable of weakening the anti-corruption fight of the present administration. http://politicsngr.com/2017/07/25/fg-raises-alarm-plot-discredit-anti-corruption-committee/ cc: lalasticlala, Mynd44

Troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE have in the past few days intensified efforts towards checkmating suicide bombings in Borno State of North East Nigeria. They recorded huge feats in foiling suicide bomb attacks by neutralising not less than 8 female suicide bombers who were unleashed by remnants of desperate Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT) to cause mayhem to the civilian populace. The Nigerian troops floodgates of interceptions of suicide bombers are glaring as a female suicide bomber was neutralised by troops of 251 Battalion of 7 Division Garrison of Operation LAFIYA DOLE on Sunday, 23 July 2017 by 8:15 pm while trying to infiltrate through the fence of Dalori Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp 2 within Maiduguri Metropolis in Borno State. The female suicide bomber who was sighted by vigilant sentries refused several warnings to halt when challenged. Subsequently, she was neutralised resulting in the detonation of her suicide vest killing herself only without any other casualty on the side of troops or civilians. Unfortunately, the blast from the detonation of the female suicide bombers vest cratered a hole on the fence of Dalori IDP Camp 2. But troops are maintaining strict vigilance on it to forestall any breach of security. Borno State Emergency Management Agency have since evacuated the mutilated remains of the female suicide bomber and disinfected the area. It will be recalled that troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE have foiled several suicide bombing attempts by the Boko Haram terrorists. Two females suicide bombers trying to infiltrate military locations at Mammanti Village on 16 July 2017 at about 10:15 pm were neutralised while one female suicide bomber who was attempting to infiltrate a location between Cimari and No-Mans-Land was promptly neutralised in the early hours of 17 July 2017 at about 2 am. Again, vigilant troops neutralised a suspected suicide bomber on 18 July 2017 at about 10 pm who was attempting to infiltrate a location at Dala Village along Road Maiduguri to Damboa. Recently on Saturday 22 July 2017, troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE neutralised 3 female suicide bombers in Kawuri area in Konduga Local Government of Borno State. The successes so far recorded have been possible with the active collaboration of the Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services, the Civilian Joint Task Force, vigilantes and other security agencies. The security forces have reinforced security as well as stepped-up aggressive patrols within and outside Maiduguri metropolis while also reinforcing security at the University of Maiduguri. Remarkable and commendable has been the increasing information and tip off volunteered by well-meaning members of the communities that are helping in the capture of these suicide bombers recently. Apparently, Boko Haram Terrorists have been greatly decimated hence their desperation and resort to the use of innocent young female suicide bombers in perpetuating their inhuman dastardly and criminal acts. Their ploy is an orchestrated propaganda towards creating panic and fear in the minds of the innocent citizenry. And to lay hold to the claim that they are still a potent force to reckon with as they bask in the euphoria of getting cheap popularity at the expense of peoples lives. The antics of the remnants Boko Haram Terrorists is now common knowledge to the Nigerian public who are now resolved to end the menace. Nigerian troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE are constantly working in tandem with other security agencies to halt suicide bombing within the Theatre. The general public is, therefore, please requested to be vigilant and report unknown and suspicious persons in their midst. Please “IF YOU SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING”. Please do not relent to continuously avail troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE with useful information that will assist in the capture of suicide bombers and their Boko Haram Terrorist perpetrators before they carry out any dastardly act. http://politicsngr.com/2017/07/25/nigerian-army-neutralizes-8-female-bh-suicide-bomber-one-week/

A former commissioner of police in Lagos State, Alh. Abubakar Tsav has stated that the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu was suffering from 'mental problems'. Tsav lampooned Kanu over his recent addition of Benue state to the map of Biafra. Kanu had earlier claimed that while he was in detention at Kuje prisons in Abuja, the Nigerian government offered to secede five Igbo states to him but he rejected the offer because Benue and Rivers state were not included. These statements did not augur well with Tsav and some prominent leaders from Benue who quickly warned Kanu to stay away from the state. He said; “I think the man, Kanu, has some mental problems. What is the connection between the Tivs, the Idoma and the Igbo? I think the man needs to see a psychiatric doctor because something is wrong with him. He is not well because nothing connects the Tivs, the Idoma to the Igbo. How can he say he wants Benue State to be part of Biafra? “He should stay where he is and carry on with his madness. We are not ready to be part and parcel of his madness”. http://politicsngr.com/2017/07/23/nnamdi-kanu-mental-problems-tsav/

Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo has described Donald Trump's election as president of the United states an 'act of God'. Obasanjo, while speaking at the launch of the French version of a book entitled ‘Making Africa Work’ in Pretoria, South Africa, stated that God made Trump president to humble America. In his words; "The fact that America can produce a Trump in this day and age, it means Americans are as human as we are,” he said in a rare reflection that appeared to have mocked the US election last November.I am not justifying what African leaders are doing. If our leaders are doing wrong, we should say that they are doing wrong" The retired military general added that he was happy with the way things turned out in the last US elections. "Trump has come so that America can be humbled, and we can also learn that lesson," he said. The book making "Making Africa work" is authored by Greg Mills, Jeffrey Herbst, Olusegun Obasanjo and Dickie Davis. Obasanjo, while speaking about the book, disclosed that the African continent still needed direct foreign investment, adding that “Nobody can do it for us, and it is all of us, and if we do it, we will get it right,”. http://politicsngr.com/2017/07/23/god-using-trump-humble-america-obasanjo/
