Popular socialite and convener of the 'Ourmumudondo' movement, Charlyboy Oputa has reacted to the alleged invasion of the home of the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu in Umuahia, Abia state. Charlyboy, in a statement made available to PoliticsNGR, advised the federal government to be more committed to dousing the rising tensions and fostering peace and unity. The statement read; "Our attention has been drawn to the recent detachment of soldiers from the Nigerian Army to the Afaraukwu country home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, and the invasion of Abia State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists on Aba Road, Umuahia, which led to the destruction of laptops and other valuables thereby causing unnecessary panic within the state and the entire region. We consider this move an aberration that must be strongly condemned in a democratic environment like ours. The good people of Abia State deserve better than the undue panic under which they have been placed since the invasion which has completely restricted them from going about their daily activities freely like they used to. In as much as we are aware that the Federal Government is concerned about curbing divisive messages and inordinate agitations within the country, we believe it should be more concerned about safeguarding the lives and properties of all Nigerians in any part of the country. It is also important to note that though recanted, the October 1 ultimatum issued by some misguided northern youths to the Igbos in the north remains weighty in the minds of many and the atmosphere is hypersensitive to any mishap that could foment such inter-ethnic melee. We urge the Federal Government; therefore, that, rather than steaming up the flames of enmity and discord within the country by using force on harmless citizens, it should be more committed to dousing tensions and promoting peace and unity. Finally, we appeal to the Federal Government to be more circumspect and solution-focused in handling sensitive matters as secessionist agitations within the country." http://politicsngr.com/2017/09/13/charlyboy-reacts-nigerian-armys-invasion-nnamdi-kanus-home/

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has said it never at any time praised the Nigerian government for exiting recession. It also said the statement credited to USAID in the Thursday edition of Leadership Newspaper, was false, even as it said the David Musa who was quoted in the publication is not affiliated with USAID and has no authority to speak on its behalf. PoliticsNGR further learned that Musa was reported to have said that the second quarter report of the National Bureau of Statistics which indicated that Nigeria was out of recession was a welcome development. Musa who was referred to as the Team Leader of USAID Bee Keeping Pollination Project in the publication had said “the report of the National Bureau of Statistics has credibility because farmers, especially bee farmers are now selling more and making more profit. “We are happy for this but the government must strengthen the ease of doing business, public policies, help the private sector to deliver wide impact to sustain the exit.” But in an electronic mail sent to Daily Sun, the Press Attaché (Spokesperson), Embassy of the United States of America, Russell Brooks, said “the story in today’s Leadership concerning USAID applauding the FG on exiting recession is false. “The person being quoted, David Musa is not affiliated with USAID and has no authority to speak on its behalf. He’s a fraud and obviously, the journalists did not do their homework.” Recall that the FG, through the National Bureau of Statistics, had in August 2016, confirmed that the nation had slipped into recession. The release by the National Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday that the nation has exited recession drew comments from different segments of the country just as it did earlier. http://politicsngr.com/2017/09/07/recession-exit-us-denies-praising-nigerian-government/

President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday in Daura, Katsina State, said the real impact of coming out recession will be better felt when ordinary Nigerians experience a change in their living conditions. President Buhari, who received the President of Niger, Alhaji Mahamadou Issoufou, at his country home in Daura, told newsmen that he was "very happy’’ to hear the country was finally out of recession, adding that the real gain should be improved conditions for Nigerians. Responding to questions from newsmen, the President said, “Certainly I should be happy for what it is worth. I am looking forward to ensuring that the ordinary Nigerian feels the impact.’’ President Buhari commended all the managers of the economy for their hard work and commitment, stressing that more work needed to be done to improve the growth rate. He also said, “Until coming out of recession translates into meaningful improvement in peoples’ lives, our work cannot be said to be done.’’ In his remarks, the Nigerien President said he was most delighted to see President Buhari in good health, praying that the almighty God would continue to strengthen him. President Issoufou said he used the opportunity of the visit to discuss some bilateral and regional issues with President Buhari, which included the fight against Boko Haram, the economic challenges in the Lake Chad Basin and other developmental concerns that directly affect the livelihood of the citizens of both countries. The Nigerien President was accompanied on the visit by a former Prime Minister, Dr.Hamid Algabid, and the President of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council of Niger, Moussa Moumouni Djermakoye. http://politicsngr.com/2017/09/05/ordinary-nigerians-feel-impact-coming-recession-buhari-photos/

The Centre for Civil Society and Justice (CCSJ), made of members from the six geo-political zones of the country, on September 5, 2017, held a Peace and Unity Rally in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The rally terminated at the precincts of the Presidential Villa, where the people were addressed by Mr. Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari. The CCSJ members pledged support for President Buhari in his resolution to keep Nigeria together, saying they opposed any effort to balkanize the country. They were led by Comrade Prince Goodluck Obi. Adesina, on behalf of the President, assured them that they were on a good course, stating that the President would uphold the Constitution of the country, and keep the nation as an indissoluble entity. He added that just as good news had come on the economic front, with the country exiting recession, the salutary news would equally come from other sectors of national life, in the lifetime of the Buhari administration. http://politicsngr.com/2017/09/05/igbo-group-holds-rally-support-president-buhari-photos/

A pan Yoruba socio-cultural group known as Afenifere has weighed in on the recent calls for the re-arrest of the Leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu. In a recent interview with Punch, the national publicity secretary of the group, Yinka Odumakin implied that only people from the Northern region of the country seek the re-arrest of Kanu. He said; To start with, experience has shown that arrest cannot resolve the question of self-determination. Two years ago, who knew Nnamdi Kanu? Maybe he was just on the Internet or Radio Biafra. But when he was arrested and detained for over a year he became popular. You realise today that when he is addressing crowds in the South-East, thousands gather and follow (him). They (government) made him popular. If they rearrest him, they are going to further popularise him and bring into focus the issues he is fighting for. Why don’t they deal with the issues, solve the nationality question and render his achievements ineffective? His arrest will not resolve the matter. Even if they sentence Kanu to death today, another person will rise — once they refuse to resolve the matter. On the other hand, when you talk about the rule of law, that lady that symbolises justice is blindfolded. The essence of that is, she is no respecter of persons — she delivers justice to whoever offends the law. But then, you begin to go after Kanu and some people get up in Arewa land to say leave our land. The Kaduna governor says, ‘Go and arrest them.’ The vice president says, ‘Arrest them.’ The minister of interior then says, ‘No, they said they were misquoted.’ The thing the minister said they were misquoted on, they sat with governors from the North to say they were suspending the order (notice to quit given to Igbo in the North), and they were holding a press conference in Sheraton. In fact, one of the (Arewa) youths, when they were looking for them, said, ‘If I’m declared wanted, I will give myself up.’ Even (for security agents) to invite them for a 30-minute chat and let them go, they didn’t do that. When you refuse to do that, you create problems for the rule of law; you show that there’s a double standard. That is not how to build an inclusive country. Not that we endorse everything that Kanu is doing, but we are saying in order not to overheat the polity, what we need now is (for the Federal Government) to address the issues that have given rise to agitations. If we begin the process of restructuring this country, the separatist groups will be at bay. But if we don’t address these issues, you’re giving them, added energy. When asked about Kanu's violation of his bail conditions, Odumakin said; When you are granted bail, that is not the end of the matter. The bail means you can go home while the case continues. They have a case in court; let them go to the court. It goes beyond the whole question of courts. Kanu has not been put before the court for killing anybody, burning property or doing anything wrong. All they are taking him to court for is for statements they said he made. Arewa youths made statements that threatened the unity of the country; they (government) said they should be arrested. The police did not arrest them. The minister of interior came out and started making excuses that the youths said they were misquoted. Why didn’t he say Kanu said he was misquoted? Now, those who are in favour of (Kanu’s) re-arrest are from the same section of the country where the Arewa youths come from. People can begin to draw insinuations that they are quick to ask for Kanu’s re-arrest because he is not from their section of the country, while they are shielding those who are from their section of the country. That’s why I’m talking about inclusiveness. So, it goes beyond taking Kanu to court. It’s on the basis of the same question of what Kanu said that they arrested him in the first place. Arewa youths made pronouncements that threatened the unity of Nigeria. To date, the police could not invite them for a chat; (not) even to take them to a five-star hotel and interrogate them over drinks, pepper soup and groundnuts. To let them be roaming free and even for the minister of interior to be making very lame and unintelligent excuses for them — what kind of country are you building? The boys never said they were misquoted. When they suspended their notice to quit, they repeated everything they said. That minister should have resigned by now. We are not holding the fort for Kanu at all. We are saying if you want to apply the law, you must apply it evenly; not a law for a section and another law for another section. That cannot work. In fact, that will create more problems and give more sympathy to Kanu. http://politicsngr.com/2017/09/03/northerners-want-nnamdi-kanu-re-arrested-afenifere/

President Muhammadu Buhari Saturday in Daura, Katsina State, said Nigerians have the constitutional right to live, work and raise their families anywhere in the country without restrictions. Receiving the Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Bello Aminu Masari, at his countrymen as part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, President Buhari reiterated that the Federal Government would guarantee the security of everyone in the country, and ensure protection of all Nigerians from harassments by reasons of their states of origin, tribes or ethnic backgrounds. Assuring all Nigerians of their safety, the President said: “Every Nigerian has a right to live, work and thrive in every part of the country, irrespective of their backgrounds.’’ Speaking to newsmen after the visit, Governor Masari said President Buhari had brought so much honor and pride to his home state by living a life of integrity, fairness, and kindness to all, a reflection of his fear of God. He noted that the President’s leadership style had attracted positive global attention to the state, and the country, praying that God would continue to uphold him in good health. This New Solution will shock you. Check it out here. What would you give to last longer in the bedroom? Yeah, I know what you’re thinking. This is certainly far from it. There are loads of programs out there offering “miracle” cures for Premature Ejaculation and small manhoodsize, but turns out bad and even make your situation worse. This is an all-natural, healthy, one of a kind 2-in-1 solution with proven result that works, every time.Check it out here Dear Friend, Quick ejaculation and small manhood size can erode your confidence in the bedroom and destroy your sex life. Worse, it can ruin your love life. If you’ve ever had to apologize for finishing too quickly… If you’ve ever felt the shame of leaving her unsatisfied… If she has ever cheated on you… If you’ve ever lost your girlfriend to premature ejaculation… If you’ve ever had to stay away from sex because of your poor performance. Then you know how it feels. You know the crushing shame and embarrassment that premature ejaculation leads to. It is a debilitating condition. The self-consciousness that premature ejaculation breeds will invade other areas of your life. If left unchecked, you’ll eventually lose even the drive to chat up women. What’s the point? Right? You’ll only disappoint her in the bedroom. Sound familiar? I know. I’ve been there. I suffered for 3 years because of this bedroom embarrassment and small man-hood size. There’s Hope! I want to introduce you to a 2 in 1 Solution I stumbled upon November last year which will change your sex life forever! See the Solution Here: But first, let me tell you a little about myself. Just like you I suffered from premature ejaculation. Starting with my very first sexual encounter. I could barely get inside before I was ready to blow. Sometimes the problem was so severe I would blow in my pants. It was humiliating and it eroded my confidence with women. I was fortunate enough to have a great woman who believed in me and wanted the relationship to work. One night, her eyes were misted with tears, she pleaded that I get a solution to the problem. It was then I realized if I don’t take a quick action this time, she would walk out on me like the others. I visited a doctor the following day. He recommended I engage in Ke-gel exercises. Not only did Ke-gel exercises don't work, they actually worsen the problem. Other doctors suggested the Start-Stop technique or the Squeeze technique. Millions of men have tried these exercises without significant results. Desperately, I read every book I could find. I scoured the internet, talked to experts and spent a small fortune. I tried all the pills and creams and toys. None of it worked for me. It Took A Long Time, And A Lot Of Money, But After 3 Years Of Research, I Finally Stumbled upon this 2 in 1 Solution That Works Like Magic! Important: This is not another pill, and it’s not an exercise from a doctor who has never experienced the terrible problem of Premature Ejacu-lation. This is an all-natural based approach to defeating P.E and increasing your manhood once and for all. This 2 in 1 Solution is highly effective. In fact, I now go on for as long as I want. It doesn’t make any difference if my woman needs ten minutes or thirty. Instead of seeing disappointment in her eyes when I finished too fast, she started telling her friends all about our amazing sex life! It worked so well; I started helping other men, just like you, to overcome their Premature Ejaculation and Small Manhood Size problem. All of them are happy with their bedroom performance. Would you like to Discover the exact 2 in1 Solution that ends my premature ejacu-lation problem permanently and increased my man-hood size from HB pencil size to 5inches bigger? Click here to check it out and thank me later.
