ebukaresources: first day on nairalandEbuka, welcome to Nairaland. Use your resources well. |
sexymoma: Why rushing to the cinema..Anyway, I like your profile pics. You made me laugh. ![]() |
JustCare: you better go to a nursing school if you can't do this course in a regular university.Excellent advice. |
abujamal: I just finished my nd in accountancy at Yabatech and i would be happy if i can get any body who will give me details about distance learning at unilag. And the advantages over going for HND or open universityIt depends on certain factors- your age, long term career plans, and financial situation. There is nothing wrong with getting a HND or going for a distance learning degree. The National Open University is equal good. If you don't have a first degree, I'll not advise that you get a NOUN degree. In my opinion (of course I might be wrong), NOUN works best for either those with a first degree and who need a masters or further advanced education or those who have already become successful in the labor market but need some certificate or degree to check in the box on their resume or CV that they also have a degree. In the UK, the Open University degrees seem to be equally respected as other universities', but also seem to face some "hidden" discrimination when compared to degrees earned from brick and mortar institutions. DISCLAIMER: I am in no way against the NOUN degrees. In fact, at some point in time, I was considering applying and enrolling in the school. I think it is a fine school with a good reputation. I am only concerned that the degrees are not for everyone. One has to consider his or her situation and career and/or educational goals before taking up NOUN. |
As they say, if is is about Tonto Dikeh, it'll make front page. This is a "litmus test" to see whether or not every Tonto Dikeh gossip makes front page. ![]() |
Kimmo: I was just viewing another thread re Fulanis where you promised to create one for Yorubas so I thought I'd check whether you actually did. Good man!The gentleman did. I am sorry am unable to copy the link here cause I am typing on a phone at the moment, but I will when I pick up my lazy self from the bed to the "computer room".Meanwhile, you may check his profile, scroll down, and hit the link titled his posts you'll see a thread about the Yoruba. Edit: I was still asleep when I typed the above. Did not notice we were both on the thread. I thought you were commenting on the Fulani thread. |
Is anyone leaving from Ibadan on Monday? My younger brother, the egg of the family, was posted to Abia. |
Omo Ibadan kini sooo? I wish I were home to watch this. Darn it! |
At least hin no use teeth design somebody body. Na hin pant hin comot. |
chulla12: Did you see the hateful turn of that frequently asked questions about Igbos thread? Are you seriously quoting me with this dim reply? My bro, I understand your argument and I agree because I have commented on the Igbo FAQ thread. I've also noticed how some have tried to make comments that show their level of intelligence. There are so many people who promote hate in every tribe, we should strive to lead by example by not joining their wagon, but letting them see how silly or senseless they are... By the way, I feel so glad and honored to have Fulanis and non Fulanis from across the world come here to contribute. It feels so great to learn about this wonderful people. It reminds me of when we were living in the northern part of Nigeria when I met so many Fulanis -they and the Hausas were so nice and kind to my family. They are the nicest people I have ever met. |
Babalegba: is it possible to have two sims. One micro and one mini for the same number.Maybe it's possible in Nigeria, but in Slovakia, my carrier said no. |
Olekumaster: what if the boy had been reading ponographic magazines?Name to cut him head be dat na. |
Hmm, honestly, I never gave a thought to the writer's arguments. He seem to have some points, yet, Adichie also is free to carve a niche for herself when it comes to what she writes and how she presents it. As excellent and well renowned as Wole Soyinka and China Achebe are/were, they also have their own share of criticisms by those who think they know better. I think we cannot all think alike or see things the same way. Adichie, like every other writer, has got her own style and tone of writing which she embellishes with her philosophies. There are bound to be those who will kick against her and I think this writer is just one of the thousands of critics to come. |
cerzo: i strongly believe that these suicide girl bombers are the chibok girls,,,,Mba, Chibok is a scam- so they want us to believe. |

chuxyz: that's for you... Those days i was in school i like going close to ladies that tops the class. Up till date i still like hanging around intelligent ladies. Sex is not everything guy so speak for yourself.Probably you'll need to read my comment again to understand what I wrote. |
chuxyz: I'm a guy, so i'm representing the guys. Here are some mentalities of ladies i hate.Though our mileage may differ when it comes to our abilities to control the urge, the truth is that we guys think about sex evey now and then. It's not our fault, it's nature's. Only okobos don't think about sex the way we do. Even then, they still pretend to do... |
born2lead01: ...Thanks bro for giving a first user experience. I was always wondering whether there was any Nigerian who finished or is almost finishing at Uopeople. Yes, online learning is not for everyone. People often think that because it lacks face-to-face interaction and tutor supervision, the works are easier. On the contrary, one without self-discipline and determination cannot earn a degree online. I earned my BSBA in General Management online from Thomas Edison State College so I know what it feels like to pass through the challenges of self-study. Though my first two years at OAU were equally no joke, I think students in Nigeria are being spoon fed when it comes to teaching and learning. |
visasubagent: So na onlly picture u see?Na Picture I see wen the link you give me no work nko? |
Does anyone know how to check the call up letter? I have a younger brother in OAU who should be in the B batch. Also, when do you guys report to camp? Thanks |
