Please house , I have HND (Lower Credit) from Federal Polytechnic Ado and Bsc (2.1) from Obafemi Awolowo University both in Accounting. I am a chartered Accountant (ICAN) with over 12 years experience as an Accountant in a Federal Polytechnic.
I want to go for Masters in Canada, please what are the options for me? How do I raise funds, should I go for loan? I am married with three kids as well
Thanks as i await your response.
Yes, you have a 2.1, so you can more easily apply for a master’s program.

How you will raise funds is up to you, but I always say that if funding is an issue, go for universities that are normally cheaper, like Memorial University or Brandon University.

If you are asking about taking a loan, where do you plan to get it from? Someone here may be able to help you with loans for Nigerians...but you might not have alot of options

Being married does not affect your application, but if you want to bring your children with you, you will need more funds as proof of funds and for living expenses. The more children you add to your application, the higher the funds required.

This changes a lot of things. People who are doing their master’s in Ontario hoping to qualify for the Ontario PNP Master’s Graduate category are currently cut off. This is a big mess-up serious problem. https://www.cicnews.com/2026/04/ontario-invites-over-900-masters-and-phd-graduates-to-apply-for-provincial-nomination-0474479.html

this scammer keeps discouraging people from coming to Canada as if Canada na him papa house.

So far the rate of approval on this forum outweigh the rejection but this scammer would say the rejection is high.

All because we refuse to use his agents to process visa.
This uninformed user is funny. The moment you don't agree with him, he starts calling you a scammer. 😂😂😂

You know why I love living abroad, especially in North America ( canada and USA)? There's room for everyone to succeed. That's why some of the things you say that discourage people sound crazy to me.

Not everyone will follow the same path, have the same budget, or get the same outcome. People have different circumstances, and that's okay.

But let's get back to the main issue: which agent are you talking about?

You keep yapping about an agent, yet you haven't shown a single post where I shared an agent's contact or told anyone to use an agent.

You are upset that I said no one should use an agent, and that if you do, you should make sure the agent is licensed and I sent a link to the list of lincenced agents for visa application thats all

If you're going to make accusations, at least provide evidence instead of making things up.

How much is flight to Toronto, hotel for 2 weeks...

POF of 10k is more than enough, Oga. So far the money has good origin and you have reasonable ties back to Nigeria, IRCC will grant the visa...

I didn't even spend 4k for my last trip in March...

An average person in CA doesn't have 10k sitting freely in an account...
You still don't understand the context and context matters. I believe you are in Germany.

$10,000 CAD may be more than enough to cover tuition deposits, flights, and initial expenses, but IRCC knows you live in Germany, not Nigeria. They can see that your circumstances are different and that you may earn $10,000 CAD in a couple of months. You are not the average Nigerian applicant applying from Nigeria.

How do I even explain this further?

You are comparing completely different situations. Someone living and working in Germany has a different financial profile, earning potential, and access to funds than the average Nigerian living in Nigeria.

It's the same reason many Canadians don't keep large amounts of money sitting in a savings account.

Well me I do not I have they saved in investment accounts, TFSA etc

They have access to credit facilities, lines of credit, investments, and other financial tools that people in Nigeria.

You can't use your situation as the benchmark for everyone else because the circumstances are completely different

Jesus Christ of Nazareth! 😂😂😂

You are really making up stories in your head.

Show me where I sent you an agent's contact. Let's start from there.

Before making accusations, provide evidence. Point to the exact post, comment, or message where I shared an agent's contact information. If you can't, then you are arguing against something that never happened.

Nigerian living in Germany oga...
You moved the goalposts or not explaining what you are saying.

The original question from the first guy was about Nigerians living in Nigeria. Then you brought Germany into the discussion without mentioning whether the person has permanent residency in Germany, which can completely change whether $10,000CAD is enough or not.

These are three different circumstances and scenarios you are talking about:

1. A Nigerian living in Nigeria applying from Nigeria.
2. A Nigerian living in Germany on a temporary status.
3. A Nigerian with permanent residency in Germany.

Each situation has different requirements, financial considerations.

You can't mix them together and act as if they are the same thing.

Scammer try harder. First you said it was not possible. Now you saying maximum is two.

I posted something from a different province and you are here quoting Toronto laws for your grandfather.

Same u said I won't get admission without your agent. I went ahead and got 10.

Then you said anyone can get admission I won't get visa if I don't contact your agent. You dropped your agent numbers countless times here I refused to use him. U are now pain.

Oga I don get visa bring another format.

Abi I no go get flight ticket without your agent?
I hate when someone lies about me and twists my words. I never said you needed an agent to get admission. You are being disingenuous at best. I can see you're good at twisting people's words, and when someone doesn't agree with you, you immediately call them a scammer. 😂

I never posted any agent's number either. That's just another one of your made-up stories.

It's very easy to lie, twist words, and misdirect people, but you are still wrong. I can tolerate a lot of things, but I hate it when someone tries so hard to put words in my mouth and claim I said or did something that I never said or did

You found out you were wrong, and now you keep calling me names and labeling me a scammer.

I have been on Nairaland since April 2017, yet it's only now, in 2026, that you and your gang have suddenly decided to start calling me names. 😂

Brother, you are trying too hard. Instead of addressing the facts, you resort to insults and false accusations. That doesn't make you right it just shows you have no real argument left..... Now do not avoid my question show me. I am still waiting for you to show me a $160 CAD room for rent on Facebook Marketplace or any other platform in 2026. 😄

10m is about 10k cad, haba... Why won't he get a visa if there is a constant inflow and outflow...

Ppl in Germany and other countries get Canadian visa with 3000k EUR oga...
People from Germany do not need a visa to visit Canada...

Nigerian has a higer rejection rate than others countriest that will use 3000k EUR... I wanted to pull out numbers links or anything but what good will that do

And yes, with a Nigerian passport, CAD $10,000 is generally not enough as proof of funds for a Canadian visa application, even if there is consistent inflow and outflow in the account...

Anyways at this point everthing is possible

This scammer is it because I don't allow u to scam people again? Do you want me to educate you what shared apartment means?

A room that goes for 500CAD, if four students share it how much will each pay?
Calm down young man You know shared apartment is different from shared room right

Wait you think 4 people can share a 168–208 sq ft. room for $500 hahahahah so much ignorance in one sentence

You see, I am here to cure your ignorance and teach you what you do not know, BOY.

The advertisement you shared means that the landlord has 4 rooms available for rent.

Each room costs $500 per month, and not all landlords will allow more than one person to occupy a room that small.

Wait, how do you expect 4 people to stay in a $500 room? 😂 That's no longer human living that's a pig farm.

Learn and stop talking nonsense about things you do not understand.

I co-own a 2 bed room apartment with my sister which we rent out, and Toronto bylaws which Scarborough falls under state that:

The minimum floor area of a room used by two or more persons for sleeping shall be four square metres for each person.

The average bedroom size is about 168–208 sq ft.

9 m² (97 sq ft) = 1 person
18 m² (194 sq ft) = 2 persons
27 m² (291 sq ft) = 3 persons
36 m² (388 sq ft) = 4 persons

check page 31 https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/municode/1184_629.pdf

So, in most cases, the maximum occupancy by law for an average room is 2 people. Even then, $500 divided by 2 is still $250 per person and that's assuming the landlord even allows two occupants.

So you see, it's still nowhere near the $160 you mentioned. 😂😂

Oya, show me. I am still waiting for AbelAbdul to show me a $160 CAD room for rent on Facebook Marketplace or any other platform in 2026. 😄

I have done a breakdown of this before countless times on the Nairaland visitor visa page, but people said I was a mad man because of my breakdown and the links I provided.

My position still stands: if you have only 10 million naira in your savings account in 2026 with a nigerian passport, it is not enough to comfortably support a visitor visa application to Canada. Yes, people will tell you what you want to believe thats it is enough, but being direct and not sugarcoating things is usually where people get offended by me.

Anyway, anyone can do whatever they wish. I am just a mad man behind a keyboard who am I to tell you what to believe or not believe?

You paid a guy ₦20,000 to join or subscribe to a group where he promised to show you how to use ₦10 million or less to travel abroad on a student visa?

Does that not sound too good to be true? 😂😂

You have been scammed because you're looking for a way to use ₦1 and make $1 million.

It's true what Proverbs 28:22 says: A stingy man hastens after wealth and does not know that poverty will come upon him.

Traveling abroad is not cheap. Studying abroad is not cheap. If you do not have the money, someone will take advantage of your desperation and sell you dreams.

There are no magic shortcuts. If a plan sounds too good to be true, it usually is....This might sound hash but its just the truth

Its been 50 days since my application has been submitted and I haven't heard back from IRCC. Although their average processing time states 48days for Nigeria applications. [img][/img]
Should I continue to wait or I should contact them? And please what's the easiest way to raise a complaint of late response?
The last application that I was denied didn't waste time, it came exactly on the final day of processing time as stated on their webpage.
With my 11 years of experience dealing with IRCC, one thing I understand is that IRCC will humble you and teach you the true meaning of patience.

I would advise you to wait at least a week after the 48-day processing period before contacting them. IRCC is currently overwhelmed and is not always keeping to its published timelines because of the high volume of applications coming in, partly due to the World Cup and other factors.

One thing is certain: IRCC will take its time. Contacting them one day after the deadline versus one week after the deadline usually does not make much difference. Hopefully, you will receive good news before that extra week even passes.

Hello guys...
Cam someone please be kind to guide me on step by step process of going to Canada for study with 10m. Please no agent, I want to do I my self.
One thing you should understand is that schooling abroad is not cheap

10 million naira is not enough money for study in Canada even vistors visa don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

You need a minimum of about 45 million naira, which is roughly CAD $45,000. Let's assume you're attending a relatively affordable school such as Memorial University. Tuition for a two-year program could cost around 20 million naira, give or take. On top of that, living expenses are currently estimated at about CAD $22,895. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/get-documents/financial-support.html

So, in summary, you need at least CAD $45,000 to realistically cover your studies and living costs that's even when you are going to a cheap school

10 million naira is simply not enough. Maybe in 2011, 10 million naira was sufficient for Canada as that 10 million naira in 2011 was about $63,000 CAD, but in 2026, it won't get you very far.

Good afternoon here everyone. Please I would like to make some enquiry/gain knowledge on how to go about processing student. My highest level of education is NCE (2016) and since then I have been working as a sales/store manager since (2017) till date though the salary is low which is by hand but there is other incentives/bonus attached and it happens I use my account in receiving all payment/goods sold. We deals with automated battery(both for cars, trucks, solar etc)
The main question I have now is can anyone suggest a school/college with low tuition fee which fit my credentials and most importantly course I can go for with positive PGWP🙏
Admission is not really the issue. For the most part, a lot of people can obtain admission.

Visa approval is usually the biggest challenge. If you secure admission into a suitable program in your case something in teaching and build a strong profile that clearly supports your study plan, you should not have major issues during visa processing.

(1) Chose a program that aligns with your education

(2) preparing a solid Statement of Purpose you have to tell IRCC a story that makes sense why you are coming back to school after so long and what you have been doing since 2016

(3) Demonstrating sufficient financial capacity. POF has to be solid and how did you get that POF also matters

Those factors often have a greater impact on the visa decision than admission itself.

Hi, sorry I'm writing late, been working on a lot of things lately. I am about to submit my application, the country's residence permit I have is Poland, I'm applying from Poland. My question is, the tax return documents are in Polish language, do you think I should submit it like that or seel the service of a certified translator to translate them? I checked with a certified translator and the quotation they gave me is a lot, probably because the 3 years tax return comes with a lot of documents, I'm not sure if the visa officer will look at them if I submit the one with only Polish language, every other financial documents are in English/includes English translation, but only the tax return documents are in Polish language only, no English translation.

What do you think please?
No, do not spend extra money on that. As long as the documents are genuine, just submit them to IRCC. Attach a written note explaining that you are providing your tax returns for the last three years to demonstrate that you contributed meaningfully while living in Poland by paying your taxes, and that these documents serve as proof of that contribution.

Make sure the documents in Polish contain your personal information ( your name your polish social security number things like that) . I am sure IRCC can use translation tools or have them reviewed if necessary. The main purpose is to show that you have been a law-abiding resident and have fulfilled your tax obligations in the country where you have been living.

Felicia. Your friend should stop dictating preferences on DLI or PGWP because he is just 19 yr old with only waec certificate in arts not even outstanding in science subjects.

If he is not financially buoyant he can opt for U.S.A towards summer/fall 2027 because U.S institutions are the most flexible , affordable which also gives some entrance scholarships.

If he is adamant for Canada he should drop college idea because he wont smell the visa with his profile . He should go for Bsc/BA courses in any public universities.

Memorial University is one of my picks for him. Be careful of easy and sweet recommendations.
