Mavor:3 years of tax returns? 😂😂 Thank you, Tinubu...rubbish governmant It was never this way before. I believe the government doesn't want individuals sending money abroad without first making sure they can tax it and verify that taxes have been paid.... Meanwhile, no one asks government officials for these same documents when they're sending money overseas.. Nigerian politicians' kids are living comfortably. I have personally been to one luxury penthouse condo near Square One in Mississauga owned by a Nigerian politician kid it had four bedrooms yes I am correct 4 bedroom and a private elevator. I won't mention any names, and that wasn't even the only property his father bought for him.. Anyway, sorry for your frustration. |
biggybanking:He is very lucky he wasn't given a visa ban for providing false information. I don't understand why people hide their previous visa refusals. Do they not know that these countries share information? if you want to know how read Five Eyes, Nine Eyes, or Fourteen Eyes you can not hide https://vpnoverview.com/privacy/anonymous-browsing/5-eyes-9-eyes-14-eyes-alliances/ Even if your visa was refused 20 years ago, they still have that record. If you have been refused before, just answer honestly: Yes, I was refused a visa in year by country. and reason it does not have to be the whole story Insufficent funds finish.. A visa rejection is easy to explain than a visa Ban he is very lucky Countries share immigration and security information. You can't assume they won't find out. If they discover that you lied or withheld information, it can lead to a visa refusal or even a visa ban. My heart goes out to people who trust random Facebook agents who submit fake information just to increase their chances of getting a visa. A visa refusal or a finding of misrepresentation can have long-term consequences and may affect future applications in multiple countries.

Mavor:That's why, when you ask a question, you should give the full context. It helps people understand your situation and answer your question correctly. You said, "I plan on paying my tuition in full this week." I assumed you meant paying your school tuition directly to the school. You never mentioned that you were talking about a GIC. Now I understand.. Anything that has to do with tuition payments always contact your school for the channel to make that payment... I don't always recommend opening a GIC. While it can be a good option, it does not guarantee visa. If you decide to open one, use your Nigerian bank account or sponsors bank account to send the funds. Make sure your bank verifies the SWIFT code of the Canadian bank and the account is in your name before sending the money. ensure that the GIC account is in your name and that the funds are being sent from your own Nigerian bank account or your sponsors account. That makes it easier to show the source of your funds if IRCC asks. |
Mavor:I am old school. I used SWIFT back in 2016/2017, but since then schools have a lot more options available now Send an email to your school. Most schools have at least three methods of accepting international payments. That is your best option. Ask them for all the payment methods they have available for accepting international payment from Nigeria For some reason, they usually mention only one method on the admission letter, but if you email them and explain that you need more options as someone paying from Nigeria, they will provide the available alternatives.. you school is your best option ask them |
biggybanking:Do not be counting time too much do not let IRCC give you high BP Please Only web form and email are the only ways to ask IRCC what's going on once your application has passed the normal processing time... only If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you can also ask your Member of Parliament to contact IRCC on your behalf but this is for applications involving your direct family members that have exceeded the processing time... Other than that, all you can do is wait. IRCC will take its sweet time.....nothing no one can help you do |
ATTAHDYE:The interest rate is fixed at 11.95% APR. Hmmm, I do not advise anyone who values themselves to go forward with this ooo. My mortgage, which I got in 2023, was at 5.34%, and that was during a period when interest rates were very high. A 11.95% interest rate is just too expensive. and its basically slavery IMO. amortization table does not matter when you are paying at interest rate is fixed at 11.95% APR I do not advise anyone to move forward with it. |
EnglandAmaka:Okay, how will you explain the source of your Proof of Funds to IRCC ? Also, what interest rate are you paying on the money? |
Kossyfelicia:Guaranteed Investment Certificate GCI https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/get-documents/financial-support.html is an option some people use to show IRCC that the money they have is genuinely set aside for their studies. They open a GIC with a Canadian bank and deposit funds for their tuition, living expenses, or both..... you already paying 10 million to your school is a good sign.... GIC does not guarantee visa approval. IRCC still assesses your application as a whole but it shows the money you have is available for study Yes, you are on the right track. Having 45 million available as your Proof of Funds, after already paying 10 million toward your tuition, as long as you clearly explain the source of the funds and meet all other IRCC requirements....

ayoyori:GF is different from wife but still Contact your MP office...if you want to |
Mudi19:Explain your question well You are not explaining things well for us to understand and answer |
ayoyori:Only IRCC can answer that question. They are taking their sweet time, so all you can do is email them and submit a web form. Beyond that, there's really nothing else you can do. The only exception is if it's your wife and you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. In that case, you can contact your MP and ask them to intervene with IRCC on your behalf. Other than that, there's nothing else you can do..... IRCC will take their sweet time, so all you can do is be patient and wait. |
Lolziks:I wanted to answer but I want to understand your logic behind moving from Accounting to Pharmacy Technician ? |
Sequences:Yes, please include it, but let it serve as a backup to the actual savings you have set aside for your school.. IRCC mainly looks for liquid funds, so money held in a regular savings or current account at a commercial bank is generally stronger as proof of funds Market Mutual Fund is a good additional supporting document, but it shouldn't be your only source of funds |
Francesdaqueen2:No, a hotel booking is not mandatory IRCC is more interested in the purpose of your visit, Your financial ability to pay for the trip, Home ties, travel history and if you will leave Canada at the end of your stay IMO Never hide information from IRCC, especially if it relates to a previous stay in Canada so tell them you gave birth the last time you came but you paid for everything just attach your receipt and doctors note after birth with a letter explaining all that was paid for out of pocket by you |
Shadeis:Yes, it can be explained. It is always a good idea to disclose all your previous visa applications, whether they were approved or refused, no matter how long ago they were. It was simply a visa refusal, and you can explain it. It is not a major issue. Yes, you can reapply as soon as possible. There is no mandatory waiting period before submitting a new application, as long as you have addressed the reasons for the previous refusal.....which you will in the new application |
Raymond0008:please explain your question better |
Samadict:The school is trying to make sure their yearly student quota is reached and wants to ensure they have enough international students enrolled to meet their financial targets. It is not you holding things up; it is IRCC. The school is just taking precautions. Even if it goes past the first week of August, hopefully it does not get to that point and you receive a reply from IRCC. Your admission is still intact; the school’s concern is mainly based on uncertainty and fear on their side....which should not affect you |
Samadict:I know you are worried, but at this point, all you can do is pray and wait. There's really nothing more that can be done right now One thing I always tell people is that IRCC works on its own timeline, and they will definitely teach you patience. You might see other people getting their visas in just a few weeks and start wondering if something is wrong with your application In my opinion, Thanks to COVID IRCC has actually improved. Back in 2015, study permit processing could take 4 to 5 months on average crazy yes... I am sure there are still some visa officers who like doing things the old-fashioned way taking their time and making applicants wait forever.... they had some Officers who only used desktop so during covid they didn't work for months claiming them can not go to the office so they had to get them laptops then.. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/transparency/committees/cimm-dec-02-2020/cimm-retooling-ircc-dec-02-2020.html No, it's not you. It's just IRCC and the way they operate. I once waited 10 months for my permanent residence Card application back in 2020, while other people received theirs in less than three months. I am talking about Card not the application it was during covid but still 10 months to get a card is crazy but thats IRCC There was absolutely nothing wrong with my application it was just IRCC being IRCC.... They publish processing timelines, but not every visa officer finishes applications within those timelines.... its just an average Don't lose hope. Keep praying, be patient, and wait. IRCC has been doing this for years, and many applications that seem delayed are eventually approved... and I pray that will be your story AMEN .....before July ending or first week of Aug you will hear from IRCC |
Mavor:best of luck |
Samadict:Waiting on IRCC is like waiting for the second coming of Jesus Christ. No one knows when He will come, but we know He will come. Sometimes it's simply a case of an officer looking at your application and deciding they'll get to it when they have time. Sadly, there's nothing you can do to speed up that process. If they need any additional documents or information, they will contact you. You've already done what you can by submitting a web form and emailing them. At this point, there's really nothing more you can do except wait. Hopefully, you'll receive some good news this July so you have enough time to prepare for school starting in the first week of September. Just one question: Was the application only for him, or were you included as a dependent on his application? and what does the online application status say for eligibility and background check |
lanresz:I agree very well the university was established in 2024 Hmmm looks like a cash cow to me and not a standy school but what do I know about anything hahahah |
Mavor:Congratulations! Now it's time for you to decide which one works best for you. Yes, some school won't waste any time issuing an admission offer... The international student cap has really affected some institutions. In fact, some colleges are struggling financially, and in some cases, the provincial government may have to step in temporarily That's why I said you could receive an admission offer the same day....sometimes in less than an hour but please just make sure that the school is DLI and the program and school is eligible for PGWP https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html
|
Mavor:Are you talking University or college? It depends on where you are applying to Universities generally take longer to process applications than colleges Some colleges may even offer you admission on the same day you apply as they are looking for international student money badly hahahah after going bankrupt last year https://globalnews.ca/news/11839473/conestoga-college-financial-misuse/ For BSC, master or PHD programs universities would take about 4 to 12 weeks to make admission decisions, although some can take 3 to 4 months.... and still Many universities wait until the application deadline has passed before reviewing applications and releasing admission decisions... Colleges process applications within a few days to two weeks, with some issuing offers on the same day.... like conestoga hahahahah So, it all depends on the type of institution and program you are applying |
AbelAbdul:Congratulation Mr Permanent Study Permit issuer wishing you all the best in your Canadian journey |
Betterlife2018:Showkey1313, keep in mind that the Canadian CGPA scale typically ranges from 0.0 to 4.0, while the Nigerian CGPA scale ranges from 0.0 to 5.0 Not all Second Class Lower grades are the same. It depends on the university you attended and how the Canadian institution evaluates and converts your CGPA. For example, some Canadian universities may assess a Second Class Lower (3.13/5.0) as 2.5/40 or 2.6/4.0 or 2.7/4.0 or 2.8/4.0 or 2.9/4.0, while others may assess it as 3.0/4.0 it all depends on how they calculate your grades So, admission is definitely possible but not so easy. Hopefully, Mount Saint Vincent University evaluates it as 3.0/4.0...being positive https://www.msvu.ca/academics/graduate-studies-at-the-mount/graduate-application-checklist/ but also apply to collage Post graduate diploma in the next term as back up if You do not get a masters admission Betterlife2018, for those you know who received admission, would you mind sharing their exact CGPA? It would be very helpful for others trying to understand how the university assesses Second Class Lower degrees....
|
undespicable:Congratulations to you! Thank God. I pray that you receive all your heart's desires, and may Canada favor you even beyond your expectations. Wishing you continued success, open doors, and abundant blessings in this new chapter |
Showkey1313:Its possible but Eeeeee go hard oo to get Masters of Education with that grade second class lower (3.13) expecially becase its Education Masters in Education is a very good program do not give up Why not try Collage and do a postgraduate diploma overtime when you are more settled in canada ( PR) you can do Masters then thats your best option to do a masters.... |
2nrayo:IRCC will teach you patience. The wait for a response from IRCC is a real character building experience for everyone. Since you have already submitted web forms and contacted IRCC, there isn't much more you can do except continue monitoring your account. IRCC is aware of your program's resumption date, and apart from submitting a web form or sending an email requesting asking for an update, there is little else you can do but wait.... I am hopeful that this new month you will hear back from them.with some good news |
MotherDee:You can use AI to make your search easier. Ask it to find schools in the Atlantic region that are still accepting international students for admission into a PSW program. If your goal is to find a more affordable option, you can also ask it to include cheaper schools. Generally, colleges in the Atlantic region tend to be more affordable, but don't limit yourself to just one province. Once you have a list of schools, and you pick the one you want..and you have checked you are ok with the program and the fee. If anyone has experience with a particular school or the PSW program you are interested in, they can share useful information and advice. You still have options. If the January intake doesn't work out, the May intake will most likely be available. So don't worry you still have time...but don't sleep on it |
MotherDee:What school is it? If that intake is already closed, don't worry. Most colleges in canada have three main intakes January (Winter) May (Summer) September (Fall) You can simply apply for the next available intake. In fact, some colleges are still accepting applications for the January 2027 intake for PSW programs..Maybe you are just looking at one school alone That's why I am asking which school are you looking at for the PSW program? any one here can check whether the intake is still open or suggest other colleges with available spots.... |
ahmedio2017:Everyone's case is different, and one size does not always fit all....... you are working as a civil servant and you also run a business which is good no one is after you because you do both The reason I suggested using both accounts is because you have funds in both, and you are trying to prove to IRCC that you have sufficient money to support yourself. A business account that receives income from your business can also help establish home ties, provided the business is genuinely yours, properly registered, and actively generating income. Your personal salary account also demonstrates your employment income. I don't see any disadvantage in using both accounts In my opinion, using both accounts strengthens your application rather than weakens it. |
