As ATTAHDYE said, yes, just defer your admission. The main issue was bad documentation.

The beauty of the officer’s notes is that they tell you exactly what mistakes were made, making it easier to correct them when you reapply.

Also, adding my observation the officer mentioned that they were not satisfied that you had enough accessible funds to cover your entire study plan.

the way to correct that is Minimum POF = tuition for your entire program (even if it is a 2-year program) + $22,895 living expenses + $3/5,000 miscellaneous

From what the officer said, please correct me if I’m wrong:

USD $9,380 = $13,014 CAD
GBP £3,085 = C$5,802 CAD
NGN ₦6,390,953.58 = C$5,800 CAD

Total funds: approximately $24,800 CAD

So, the officer was looking at roughly $24,700 CAD in total funds based on the balances you provided.

Remember, your tuition was $20,600 CAD, meaning that after paying your tuition, you would have had only about $4,100 CAD left for living expenses and travel. That is likely a major reason the officer concluded that your funds did not demonstrate sufficient coverage for your studies.

So the officer was looking at roughly $24,700 CAD in total funds based on the balances you provided.

Do not sell your property or take out loans to study in Canada. Studying abroad has always been expensive, and nothing is guaranteed. Immigration rules can change at any time... and what you knew coming in can change for you ASAP

When my elder brother was applying for his PR back in 2011 after studying in Canada, you did not need to take the IELTS if you had studied in Canada. You know why I suggest having the full amount of your school fees available: unlike before, IRCC is really reducing the number of students they are accepting, by around 83%. So, if you don't have your full tuition amount available, remember that you are essentially competing with people who already have their tuition money in their accounts .

As for the documents, you can find those easy People here would be able to tell you, but if your relative wants to sponsor you, it would be necessary to establish a history of that relative supporting your education in the past, if applicable.

What IRCC will really want to understand is: Why would this person want to spend that much money on you?

If you can clearly answer that question for IRCC and provide evidence to support it, that would be very helpful.

As for the exchange rate, use Google to check the current rate. CAD is really doing badly against the naira right now..give or take its like Naira 975 to Naira 980

It depends on whether you want him to go to a college or a university. He will definitely need his WAEC result to gain admission to either one. However, colleges may be easier, as some universities may not want to admit him because he is only 16 and not 18/19 yet. So college may be your best bet, but you can try both anyway.

At 16, IMO and anyone can bash me for this, but I will speak from my heart I believe he is too young to school abroad on his own, except and solely except you have enough money to sustain him throughout school without him having to work in Canada for even a day, including during the holidays Plus you have a family member here who can keep an eye on him 24/7 for the most part...

A one-year program isn't enoughtime becase it only give you 1 year PGWP, your plan is solid but still one year is not enought time. french is the way to go I pray everything works out well for you. Wishing you all the best!

I wrote in my SOP that i am already involved in teaching (Education/French), I am not looking for only theoretical knowledge but also structured exposure to real childcare environments.

While my diploma in early childhood Education in seneca deals with hands-on training that will allow me to gain practical experience while working with young children in professional educational settings. I know you just got your admission, but if you know French, you have a good opportunity. You could potentially get your PR before the end of the year. That was in 2015 and 2016, when the Canadian dollar was not as expensive against the naira as it is today.

However, the principle behind my visa refusal can still be applied today.

Calculate your total school fees for the entire duration of your program.

For example, if your tuition for a two year program is CAD $35,000, add that to the current Canadian living expense requirement, which is about CAD $22,895.

Then add another CAD $5,000 for miscellaneous expenses.

Now convert that amount to naira, and you will have a realistic idea of how much you need....

As for someone you know who has cold feet because of the cost or the fear of rejection, they need to understand that life is full of "no's." Success comes from getting just one "yes." No successful person heard "yes" the very first time they tried something.

Rejection is part of the journey.

You need to develop an "I am looking for one yes" mentality because the Canadian journey comes with a lot of rejection.

From getting a study permit, to securing a work permit, to finding a job, to obtaining permanent residence, to becoming a Canadian citizen, to buying your first home, to purchasing an investment property, or even changing jobs you will hear many "no's."

The important thing is that you only need one "yes" at each stage to move forward.

So don't carry a mindset that is defeated by rejection. Don't let every "no" overpower you. Stay focused, keep improving, and keep moving forward until you get that one "yes."

In most cases, it's not worth it unless you already have a CRS score of around 460–480 and only need Canadian education (40 points ) plus one year of Canadian work experience (40 points) to boost your score to the 500's

I’m sorry for your refusal. I also got refused for similar reasons. In my case my father is my sponsor and owns a manufacturing company. We had paid half of the first year tuition fee, 18000CAD using one of the company’s account (UBA). Months before my submission my sponsor routinely transferred money from his other company account (Access) to his personal (Access) . He moved about 5m every week.

Now, I only submitted CAC, 2 company bank statements and his personal bank statement as well as receipt of tuition paid. However I never submitted a status report showing my sponsor solely owned the company, Nor did I submit invoices of sales showing that the company funds were genuinely from sales of the manufactured items. So I guess I screwed up there.

I have deferred my admission to January while my sponsor rebuilds his statements, cos he has spent money from his accounts. I’m looking to reapply in October and I’ve also engaged an RCIC cos just like you I’m tired and frustrated.

I’ve attached my ODN, if anyone wants to give an advice for my reapplication moving forward, I’m all ears 🙏🏼

I got two visa refusals back in 2015 and 2016, but I finally got my visa on my third attempt in 2017

Don't give u.... Just make sure you address the concerns the visa officer mentioned in your refusal.

The beauty of the officer's notes is that they explain what the officer was thinking before refusing your application. They also help you understand what you need to improve to make your next application much stronger.

You are closer to getting your visa than you think. Make the necessary corrections, submit a stronger application, and don't lose hope.

To be clear, I submitted our company MERMAT, STATUS and CAC Registration. Also Bank statement of our joint owned company, this was just to show the source of th3 funds in my spouses account, not to show material POF.

1 yr tuition of 16kCAD was paid from the company account, admittedly the Bank statement was already generated before the tuition was paid and this wasn't done with any ill intention. We produced a notarized company document instructing the tuition payment and a board resolution too.

Then, also my spouses bank statements showing 58m and 34kUSD. No lump deposit and it was for 6months. While my spouses salary in his paid job isn't high, our main funds come from the business, we only used payslip to show sometime, not because we depend on said salary.

Our business is a consultancy business and we shared necessary documents.

Also, documents of two undeveloped lands one of which is to be used to setup a facility along the lines of my program after graduation.

I'm just confused

Note that I got a late admission and I have a start date of September 1, however, I found out that NYSC certificate is required by the IRCC. Can I upload my call-up letter and ID card as evidence or wait till I get the certificate to submit my application?

IMO finish your NYSC first no need to rush

NYSC is not required by IRCC unless you want to prove what you have been doing since graduating from school.

If your program starts in September, you should defer your admission to January. There isn't enough time for IRCC to process your application before August ends.
